I came across Russell Pate from The Shoe Doctor when I was looking for custom insoles. He is awesome. He scans the feet with his machine and tells the red zones or pain points in the feet. He provides custom insoles based on his feet scanning to align the arch of the foot. This helps in reducing the pain in the foot. This will also help in improving the overall posture of the body. If anyone is looking to get insoles for their foot related pain then he is the one on whom we can rely upon confidently.

Dr. Russell is amazing! I was putting off seeing him and Im so happy I went to see him. My feet particular the left foot was bothering me a lot and because Im a makeup artist and am always standing I really needed help and I love my orthotics! I feel like Im walking on air. Hes so professional, smart and follows up! I would recommend him to everyone!

Russell is a wonderful resource. I have multiple pairs of his custom orthotics. I came to see him when I was having my foot fall asleep when working out on the elliptical, bike, or treadmill. I initially thought it was my shoes, so I tried multiple new pairs. Turns out, I just needed Russells orthotics. No more issues with my foot falling asleep, an instant fix. Thank you Russell!

I had a great experience with Russel. He is very personable and it is clear that he cares about his clients. He doesnt try to rush you out of door but instead he takes the time to thoroughly explain his process. Ive always had sore feet and recently began experiencing knee pain from running. Within minutes, Russel identified exactly what was wrong with my feet. As of now Im wearing the shoes he recommended and eagerly awaiting the arrival of my custom orthotics. I cant recommend the shoe doctor enough!

I have been wearing custom insoles from Russ Pate, The Shoe Doctor, for over eight years, and really believe in his abilities, knowledge and his product. Russ is more knowledgeable about feet and shoes than anyone Ive ever met, he really knows his stuff, he can even advise you on which shoes would be better for your feet according to your needs.From the moment I began wearing these custom insoles I noticed a huge difference in how my feet felt in general, and especially at the end of the day. I was not as fatigued, my feet werent tired and sore, what a difference The Shoe Doctors custom insoles made!When I received my first pair of insoles years ago, I had planned a trip to the east coast to visit my sister, and made sure to take them with me. My sister took me in to New York City for a day of sightseeing. I was on my feet from 9am until 11pm and much to my surprise, my feet were not worn out by the end of the day. My legs were not as fatigued, my feet did not hurt, I did not feel any of the pain I usually felt after being on my feet for such a long period of time. Frankly, I was stunned...and completely sold on these insoles.Russ stands behind his product 100%, and takes the time to educate you about what is unique about your feet, how the shoes you currently wear affect your feet and your gait, and if you should be looking at another type of shoe to make things better. I went to Russell when I had some knee issues that were evidently at least partially related to not having the correct support in my shoes. Not only did he evaluate my arches of my foot, he made suggestions about my next pair of fitness shoes. He spoke about firmness and support and encouraged me to purchase a more supportive shoe. With his healthy foot help, I am now having no knee pain and am back to running in my late 50s with no pain at all.

Russell is amazing. Ive been having pain for a long time and had no idea it could be because of my shoes or the way Im walking. He put pressure in one area of my foot and this instant relief came over me. I wear my inserts everywhere and feel so much better. Russell is the real deal!

More than 3 years later, I am EXTREMELY happy with the custom orthotics I got here. They have held up very well and enable me to be able to walk, run, and hike without foot and back pain. I would highly recommend Russell for getting orthotics made, and if you have any questions or issues after, he is very helpful.

I was suffering with severe foot pain and not able to walk far. I had seen quite a few podiatrists and another pedorthist, but no one was able to give me orthotics which would allow me to walk far. I decided to see Russell at The Shoe Doctor, and his method worked well for me. I can now walk 5+ miles per day with zero pain. In addition, Russell was able to help my teenage daughter with her foot pain. Russell is very knowledgable and patient.

My husband has had 2 different to fix his foot problems and he still had major pain and discomfort. When he walked it felt like he always had a rock in his shoe. I was able to convince him to see Russell, the foot doctor. It took a few adjustments, any the patience of the foot Dr!!!! but I have to say he is now walking pain Free. I learned so much about my stance during the exam with Russell. It was no wonder my feet were often hurting. After the exam, I purchased a pair of orthotics for my athletic shoes and a pair for my everyday shoes (which I upgraded after hearing Russells great feedback). Now, a month later, I love wearing these orthotics and my feet are so much more comfortable and balanced-feeling now! Russ has a lot of knowledge about feet and how to address anyones foot issues. I had low back pain I was dealing with and my exercise was being limited at times due to the pain. I decided to go see Russ and found out my arches were collapsed on one foot and my shoes were too small for my feet as well as did not have the right amount of lateral support in them. He created orthotics for me, I got some new shoes, and now my pain is gone and I am able to run again. I recommend anyone with foot issues to go see The Shoe Doctor. You wont be disappointed!

Expert, knowledgeable and great bed-side manner! I scheduled a consultation with Russell last week for some foot problems I was having that was actually causing me hip pain that persisted even with getting regular body work. In addition, I am 7-months pregnant and the changes to my body were aggravating some of those problems. Adding to that, I had recently injured my ankle as well and was working on rehabbing and recovering my range of motion and stability.Russell performed a thorough and comprehensive measurement, postural assent on my foot and also a detailed scan. He was able to tell me exactly what was happening with my foot structure without me even saying much about my previous diagnosis. I brought a number of my regular shoes and he checked them all out to make sure they were OK or not for me. Russ gave me sensible advice on what type and what size of shoes I should be getting as well as a recommendation for truly customized, taylor-made orthotics (not the cheap shelf products) to help my feet and body balance out a feel better. I am totally looking forward to trying out my orthotics and hoping for the rest of my pregnancy to be comfortable!I highly recommend getting evaluated by Russell for any type of foot-related problem! My husband is next to see him!

Russell had done a great job assessing my foot and the bio mechanical and balances. Hes the first person that I thought that provided good explanation and knowledge of what was going on with my feet. As a chiropractor I have worked on many feet but there is always something more to learn. The process that Russell uses to determine the right type of orthotic for your foot is unparalleled because the goal of his work is to correct and restore the function of the foot and not simply manage a dysfunctional foot. I am currently working with Russell with my orthotics and Ive learned more techniques to improve not only my feet but the biomechanics of my patients, I highly recommend Russell and his work.

I’ll keep this short because I’m typing on an iPad. I was in great. GREAT pain from plantar fasciitis. I saw two doctors who really did not help me. Three months into not being able to walk because of pain, I decided to give Russell a try. He was very caring and knew what he was doing. He made mea set of orthotics which had to be adjusted at a second visit. Now two months since the adjustment I am doing much much better. I had a sever case. I have very flat feet and have had surgeries 50 years ago. Mine was not an easy case. A condition like I have have can last for many months even with good treatment. Russell created a set of orthotics for my feet which has helped me improve tremendously and out of pain

I have worn orthotics in the past for running but not for every day wear. When I visited Russell and obtained a pair of orthotics for my every day shoes, it made a great deal of difference. Russell performed a comprehensive scan of my feet and provided quality custom orthotics at a reasonable cost. He has very good knowledge of foot anatomy. I had issues with plantar fasciitis which have been alleviated with the new orthotics. So I recommend the Shoe Doctor.

Russell really knows his stuff. For decades I thought I had bad ankles but once Russell examines my feet with his scanner it was obvious that it was the arch in the outside of my feet that was the real issue. I ordered my orthotics and it was truly life changing. I now can run and workout with no pain!

Best $39 I ever spent. Bring your favorite hiking boots and shoes and get them assessed for fit. Stand on the 3D foot-scanner and learn way more than you expected to about your arches and how to halt (and maybe reverse) any developing foot problems. Russell is a super nice guy and spends plenty of time giving comprehensive answers to all your questions. Highly recommend.

I cannot express enough in this small space how happy I am with the care and exceptional service I have received from Russell. He is not only knowledgeable, which I would expect, but he explains everything with such incredible kindness and patience. And, he doesn’t just fit you and deliver your custom inserts and that’s all, but he explains everything, addresses all of your concerns, and devotes time to listening to you. Best of all, he is available when you have questions or concerns, even if you’ve asked the same thing before or just needed more clarification. He knows his stuff, and his recommendations for proper footwear, pain relief, exercises, and daily living tips to alleviate your pain are spot on. Unfortunately, I waited much too long before I went to see him, even cancelled my initial appointment in the mistaken belief/hope that the pain would just go away. It absolutely did not – quite the opposite, actually. I also highly recommend that you NOT do what I did by self-diagnosing, ordering inserts and shoes and all manner of “fixes” online for the pain. Wasted money (lots) and wasted time (lots). Russell Pate, The Shoe Doctor, has, quite frankly, changed my life. If you do nothing else, go please talk to Russell. I promise that you will not be disappointed.

All people arent the same, all orthotics arent the same. Im not sure everyone needs orthotics but if you do theres no one better than Russell Pate, the Shoe Doctor!I had pain in the lateral arch of my foot and a computer-customized human-tailored orthotic by Russ fixed the issue. There are people who do their jobs but Russ has mastered his. With well over 20 years of problem solving foot pain and having experienced his work first hand, I wouldnt think twice to choose him over a conventional Dr.Custom care, imo, is the greatest credential. Russell is an amazing Shoe Doctor. We approached him for my mom for her pain and swelling in the both ankles and left knee as she was going to the Rolfing sessions for therapy at Medicin Evolution.In one sitting within less than an hour he analyzed one of the cause for swollen ankles and pain. His approach and analysis was highly professional and detail oriented. His analytical thinking was very impressive. He took the scans of both the feet and examined the weight balance on the fingers. Based on the his findings he suggested custom insoles that will help balance the weight on all the fingers of the feet evenly. My mom started using the insoles in the shoes and she saw the positive results within one month. Her pain and swelling in both the ankles and knee reduced to a very great extent. Highly recommend Russell for any foot pain.

I highly recommend The Shoe Doctor. My 13 year old son has been plagued with foot problems since he was very young. As he has grown, his feet have begun to physically look odd and his pigeon toed gate more pronounced. Russell took the time to explain his condition in a way that both my son and I could understand. I love my othtodics so much that if I have to run errands after tennis and change shoes’ I always pull my orthodics out of my shoes and put them in a plastic bag in my purse. I do not want them stolen from my SUV. Life is good if you can do the things you want and do not have any foot pain.

Ive been working on my feet since I was 14. Most of the time I wore heels because Im only 4 11. Recently, my feet started to have pain when I didnt wear heels and then pain when I wore heels that never used to cause pain. I went in to see Russell and he told me exactly why my feet were in pain. He also told me that one foot was smaller than the other, that explains why one shoe would always feel uncomfortable. His exams are very affordable, less than $50. Im almost 30 years old so this exam is for any age. I cant wait to get my orthotics this month.
