Awesome spot! Huge selection. There is a large room with rough material, which is primarily what I go for. Some prices are high but most are reasonable. They also have a wholesale section. Sales are frequent and I hear they are bringing in new material soon! They also have dedicated rooms for things like amethyst and fossils. Will absolutely return!

My boyfriend Owen and I really love this place. Its our favorite shop as a fun date. There are lots of varieties of rocks, crystals and fossils to look through and take home!If anyone likes to collect these items, this place is for you. The Rock shop will forever be your oyster. They have jewelry, miniatures and other items made out of those materials. Its a big place to explore.

This is an awesome place. I never paid it any attention when I pass it because of its outside looks. Today I stopped in though to look for some gem stones and they have a huge selection of them from unpolished/rough to polished they also have fossils, dinosaurs eggs, plant fossils and other crystals. There is just too much to list. I spent over 45 minutes just browsing. It was hard not to buy everything I saw. I’ll definitely be back tho to buy more rocks, gems and fossils!

This is only my second negative review I’ve ever posted so that should tell you something right away… Negative experience today at the Vacaville rock shop. Ended up going to a different crystal shop and had an over the top fantastic and positive experience. Happy I tried a second shop! I saw a sign for 70 percent off on the cathedrals at this shop and was all excited asked the worker about it he says oh sorry we forgot to take the sign down last week. I said no worries and he walks over to me again and offers me 60 percent off for the mistake. The owner then walks up to me 10 minutes later after I had already picked a piece out and a very expensive one at that and says no we can’t offer you 60 percent off and he was very rude about it. Didn’t even apologize after I was already offered the 60 percent off!!! I walked out and I’ll never go in there again. I’ve spent THOUSANDS of dollars here! Over $5000 and get treated that way! No thanks. Lost my business! However through this I found the most kind hearted owner of a shop out of town and bought a huge beautiful amethyst! Super excited about that! Sometimes things happen for a reason!

Great place for gifts that are unique and interesting. Lots of beautiful rocks and minerals. Some are fashioned into animals and others are for display with lights. Fossils and Jewelry are available as well. It takes quite a while to see everything so wear good shoes because the place is big with lots of rooms.

This is one of my favorite places in earth. Their inventory rivals that of many museums Ive visited, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the prices are very fair. Even if you dont buy anything, this place is totally worth a visit just to see some of their amazing rock and mineral specimens!

You can find such a wide variety of so many natural gemstones, semiprecious stones, fossilized and museum worthy pieces here. This place is a hidden gem and has lots great art pieces, book ends and such made of gemstones as well.

One of my favorite places to visit, they have a wide variety of both standard polished/carved pieces and fine mineral specimens for general customers and collectors alike. Theres a large amount of high-quality pieces that are worth a visit just to see them, and theres plenty of products within reasonable price ranges as well. They also offer large quantities of raw materials of various types for lapidary use, and they often have different sales on specific products monthly. If you enjoy rock collecting, rock hounding, and crystals in general, it is VERY easy to end up spending a lot of time and money here - and it is absolutely worth it.

I love this place and could spend hours here. Plenty of nifty gifties. Lots of what I would call museum pieces that would be amazing collection items if you had the funds! A whole room each of quartz and amethyst. Gotta be careful or you might walk out with pockets full of rocks and no money! My 6 year old always has fun looking at all the fossils.Update: came back after some COVID-19 quarantine restrictions lifted. Bless their hearts the sweet couple running the shop were proud to share that they had kept their staff paid during the shutdown. Im hoping folks will keep supporting this business because its really a gem (pun intended!).

The owners are HORRIBLE and have no connection to the world and no sympathy whatsoever. I was in there with my one and half year old daughter and they kicked us out because they couldnt stand the fact that she was touching everything. I was very respectful and was putting everything back exactly where it was and exactly how it was placed but they did not care. They said that we were ruining everyone elses experience and their peace and that i should come back without my child... i am a single mother who was visiting the town, that isnt an option in my book. There were other children there, also touching things. They told me they had their own children to feed.Youre better off going to the crystal shops in Fairfield or Concord where the owners and employees are genuine good-hearted people, unlike this place...Such a shame to see this beautiful shop be run by people who are so disconnected from reality and do not care about their customers or what they are there for.BE VERY VERY CAREFUL BUYING YOUR CRYSTALS FROM THIS PLACE. THE NEGATIVE ENERGY FROM THESE NEW OWNERS IS AFFECTING THEM. THEY ARE WEAK AND NEED TO BE DEEPLY CLEANSED AND FULLY RECHARGED AND GROUNDED AGAIN.

This rock shop has been around for 40+ years, it has changed in nature over that time. Currently, it has lots of polished and finished stones for general consumers. The days of discovering a truly great specimen for your rock collection, at a good price, seem to be gone. Generally, fun to look none the less!

This place is always fun to come visit and the collection is really huge and amazing, something that really stands out from any other rock shop Ive been. However, I have museum quality pieces of smoky quartz that Ive bought from fair trade stores that are far better than any piece in this shop, and yet the prices here are astronomically higher than what I have paid just 20 miles up the road in Sacramento. That goes for everything in this store. Some things are very fair, but I have been to many shops across many states and can definitely say that the vast majority of pieces here are very very overpriced and marked up.

I stumbled on this shop years ago, when the sign was half hanging, the inside seemed bigger than the outside, and everything had an amazing story (and I amassed a spectacular collection)Still pretty good, still have some beautiful minerals but the business has shifted to lots and lots of jewelry, bead strands, pyramids and pendants (i.e. very very commercial). Ive been passing by this place for years and finally had the opportunity to come by today. This place is huge! As someone who learns and collects rocks as a hobby I felt like a kid in a candy store. The customer service is excellent. The staff is attentive and willing to help your needs. On top of that, they have the best prices Ive ever seen! FREEZING COLD INSIDE THIS PLACE!They have nice stuff, but its all priced so high, even with 50 percent off its high.I can no longer afford to support this business. The pricing has gotten so high since the new owner took over. I have been to rock shops all over CA and AZ and NV, the prices at the rock shop are 30 to 50 percent higher than anywhere else. In the past we have purchased several stones from The Rock Shop, before the new owner took over. The other thing is that when its cold or hot outside, its the same in the shop. I was there today in 106 degree heat and the stones and the glass on the cases was hot to the touch. I wanted to look at more of the stones but I just couldnt take the heat.

The prices are almost unbeatable, if not the best you will find. The workers and owner are very friendly and knowledgeable and helpful and polite. Brianna was so educated and kind, had a lovely energy. The store itself was so calming and lively at the same time. I appreciated the woven shopping baskets and entered the raffle considering my purchase exceeded 50 dollars. Love this place. Great and huge selection. Prices are very reasonable. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Only problem is the building wasnt made to be a retail structure so during the summer very very hot, and winter can get colder but not as bad as being there while super hot. In the past going in there where fewer customers so easier to browse. Last few times super packed so best to know exactly what your looking for as browsing slowly was difficult with the amount of people. Good for them for more business though!

So many gems and stones to choose from and at reasonable prices! The staff are so kind and ready to answer any questions. They also apparently have done some renovating (this was my first time going so I have no reference, the just mentioned it) so if you havent been in a while, go back in and youll be amazed! Both raw and polished stones, small and large, easy-to-find and hard-to-find stones, you be amazed! For the crystal healers, these prices are much more reasonable that most metaphysical stores. Especially if you like rocks (or fossils!!), its just awesomely huge with row after row of gorgeous rocks.Even my boyfriend who doesnt care about rocks was impressed and found stuff to buy.But, for me, a rock fanatic, it is drool-worthy and even a bit overwhelming. You kinda just want to grab a tent and camp out for a few days theres so much to see. Go! Its a sight to see! Every time we are anywhere near Vacaville, I insist we stop and visit. Love this place. I saw this shop while I was on the freeway and automatically pulled over because I felt they had good vibes . My experience was short lived . I left very disappointed due to the issue of being followed around . I loved the selection of crystals they carried and initially was going to purchase a few . My partner noticed and told me one of the associates was following us around the whole time . I didn’t notice because I was immersed into the finding crystals that called me . I went to the associate that was following me around and told her how disappointed and uncomfortable she made me feel and she had nothing to say . I also notified the owner or manger of this incident / behavior. She offered an apology, however apologies don’t excuse this behavior in 2022 . I am a black woman and deserve to be treated with just as my peer that don’t have the same skin color as I do .Sucks I really wanted to buy some crystals.

This is such a cool store, with very cool people. My 8 year old son loves rocks and minerals, so the store was quite an experience for him. He bought an obsidian arrowhead with his allowance but accidentally dropped it on the way out. It broke and he was just crushed. I was ready to buy another one, but the staff was so sweet and let him pick out a new one. It was so generous and kind of them. My sons review, super cool store with the nicest people in the world... Back story my daughter loves rocks and anything gemstones since she was three. Thanks to that tv show Steven Universe. I couldnt find a place that had all the rare stones ( she wanted and need lapis lazuli and azurite) she knew about and voila, just like a gemstone itself we saw this place right off of 80 upon a time we were heading towards the bay. The store looks rough on the outside but thats the beauty about it. Its whats inside that counts right ?. They have the coolest of stuff in there from the common amethyst stones, geodes from all kinds of places to rare rainbow opals, just beautiful. And theres nothing gimmicky or pretentious about this place, you can walk around and look with no weird stares and all kinds of visitors from the novice of rock collectors to those special crystal workers its all cool. They changed ownership it looks like recently because the staff is different but they are still friendly and knowledgeable. The prices are little high now but still many great offers on other stuff like turquoise, agate, etc.. still one of favorite hole in the wall places to visit. Dont forget to visit the fossil section too. They have a fossil section how cool is that !.

Ive been to this shop several times to find and purchase semi precious stones, crystals, and rocks of different types. They have a very large selection of crystal, stone, and rock specimens in various forms. You want stretchy bracelets or just semi-precious stone or crystal beads? They have them at reasonable prices. You want a cluster of amethyst? They have them, from a small druzy cluster pendant to a cluster larger than a coffee table. Ive seen bismuth crystal specimens and dyed agate slices, smoky quartz points and tumbled labradorite palm stones, selenite plates and bowls, slate, obsidian, raw opal, coprollites, fossilized wood and bone, and theres even a wholesale section of the store that is separate from the main shopping area. If you are looking for any kind of rock or crystal, other than quartz tiles or counter tops, I bet you can find it here. Give them a try!

Not a fan of the new owners. I noticed they were following me and my mom around, like we were going to steal something. I have a good reason to believe it was because they heard us speaking Spanish. To make matters worse they were the ones that ripped us off. When my mom went to pay for her stone the price was clearly marked $69 dollars. Well I found out after we walked out, that he charged my mom $96 and when she confronted the owned about it he claimed thats how they write prices in his country. WTH!? Im very well traveled to Asia, Europe, Latin America and have yet to find a place where $69 (with a $ signed upfront) is mistaken for $96. Ive known this place for over 10 years and had never had an issue with the previous owners. Good vibes run low in the store.

He either follows you around like you’re gonna steal something (which being black made me feel very unwelcome) or he makes off-hand comments that make you feel super uncomfortable. He has very aggressive energy which is the exact opposite of the way you’d like to feel at a rock shop. I thought “maybe he’s just having an off day” and gave him and the shop the benefit of the doubt but no, upon returning the other 3 times, he was exactly the same. It’s sad but go somewhere else friends. Somewhere with good, all around welcoming vibes. This place unfortunately isn’t it. Super disappointing.

For rock and Crystal lovers, this was or is a very large collection of beautiful specimens. The Collection includes large panels of fossils, a roomful of large amethyst geodes, and many types of crystal balls and orbs of many types of minerals, many too large for me to even try to lift. The prices vary from 1 and $2 deals to thousands of dollars. Some of it seemed high priced to me, however it has been a while since I have been to a physical store. In any case its a wonderful place to visit.

Found an advertisement regarding a 50 percent off sale. When I went there looking for rough gemstone to cut the sale was for just a.few limited items. Poor selection of rough and way over priced even at 50 percent off it would be still too high. And what a waste of space sectioned off for whole sellers. Better use if they sold rough at a reasonable price. I thought under new ownership the place would improve. Actually it got worse.

It was extremely hot in the building that really made the experience pretty miserable and the owner was very quick and rushed with answering questions regarding rocks. Didnt seem to interested in giving a little educational insight to my son. Not a place I would go out of my way to visit or count on for my childrens growth in knowledge

If it wasn’t for the amazing and overwhelming amount of beauty and history that is inside of this one building. that I flew from Washington state to visit with my sister in law I would’ve given this place a 0 star review... I had an employee follow me around the entire store watching every move I made not asking if I need help or anything even though I hadn’t picked up or touched anything with out immediately setting it back down. On top of being followed every time I inquired about a certain piece I was interested in I was met with a rude attitude or a lack or interest in helping me from your employees. When I finally did make a decision on the particular piece I wanted, that wasn’t cheap I might add I was again met with a rude and very aggressive taller skinny white women who rudely imposed on the employee who was helping me with my transaction and when I asked if I could use the restroom because I had been in the shop so long, I was again interrupted by and had my conversation imposed on by the rude young lady who wasn’t even checking out my purchase, to let me know your bathroom was out of order..... if I hadn’t have spent two hours looking for the perfect piece to spoil myself with I wouldn’t have bothered purchasing anything from your store based off of my experience with your staff alone... 10/10 would not recommend this rock shop

Best place on the planet. Great to visit for gifts or if you are just a collector. Prices are SUPER cheap, especially if you are used buying crystals at a metaphysical store. Ridiculous supply of minerals, rocks, amber, crystals, semi precious stones, fossils, and some corals. It also has a decent selection of lapidary supplies as well. Prices range from under a dollar to many thousands of dollars. I can easily spend over an hour in there. The staff is very helpful, but weekends can be a little busy. Some of the fossils are amazing museum quality. They even have things like uranium ore. The amethyst tubes are pretty amazing

Rolling off what the last person said, they do follow minority people in their stores, and it sucks because we want a certain experience just like everyone else. Whether it’s buying rocks or metaphysical these people make it so that you don’t have a good experience by deploying real world bias towards people looking to stray from that a bit. I went there as a teen when I was alone was followed by some old man who was looking to see if I would steal. Let’s not bring negative energy into spirituality.
