As a motel customer, this hotel was pricy and I cannot afford it without paying by Marriott points. Valet parking is $63 and there was no cheaper parking lot around or on street or self-parking option, so I would not tip the Valet parking. mandatory destination fee is $40. I dislike the American tipping culture, employers should pay their staff with a reasonable salary not the customer. Concierge service was great, destination passports were great value.

Really disappointed. They took a holding charge when I got to the hotel which was expected, but its now been months since I stayed, they did not refund the charge so I had to get in contact to get them to actually do it - this then cost me an extra £50 in international call fees, and even then the refund hasnt come back to me. My credit card company now are having to raise a charge back. This has cost me hours of my own time and money to call for international phone fees (because they dont even list a contactable email you have to call to ask for it). Absolute joke - any experience had in the hotel is completely outweighed by the awful payment experience.

Although impressive on the outside and upon entering, the rooms are not anything close to luxurious, even on the club level floors. The shower pressure was terribly low and the hot water was inconsistent. The only thing about the room that was very nice was the espresso machine. Housekeeping did a fantastic job each day, check in counter associates were very friendly and quick with service. The outdoor restaurant seating has beautiful views of the marina and the wait staff was always attentive and accommodating. The bar seats are heavy and placed very close together so kind of awkward squeezing into an empty seat but the drinks are well made. Valet was always very quick and thoughtful especially when Ubers came for pick up they would check the name and open the doors. That was greatly appreciated.

First time in California and flew with my mom this week in June. Ages 40 and 65. This hotel is beautiful, and the customer service is exemplary. I have previously worked at the Ritz so I am familiar with the kind of experience and they did not disappoint. My mom has been in awe from the bellman that keeps opening her door even though it’s Uber, we arrived too early to checkin in but thankfully they had a room ready so it was perfect. Front desk team so so kind, along with the concierge who helped us find local ice cream shops and Venice beach. Everytime we go to eat lunch or dinner, the hostess always knew my name and provided 5 star service. It seriously was an amazing experience. The housekeepers are so friendly and my mom keeps saying how nice everyone is and how they are asking how her day was. Everyone is providing such an amazing experience I can’t thank them enough for giving us a 5 star stay over the last 4 days. We still have two days left and would definitely come back again!

This is the third time we stay at this fine establishment. The staffs are always helpful and attentive. With their Destination Passport package that includes free Academy Museum tickets, free drinks, food and beverages credits plus free on-site activities, youll have plenty of things to do. And the location is close to water and majority of LA attractions.However the building, rooms, room decors and included amenities are trailing some other hotels. The hotel is still nice but its no longer worth the rate they are asking for.

Second time at Marina del Rey (January 2024)We recently stayed at The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Ray for the second time - first visit was about 2 years ago.The location of the property for someone looking to visit L.A. without being is fantastic - you are a quick car ride/Uber to many things around, but can relax at the same time in a resort-feel hotel setting.The property is well maintained and the rooms are well appointed; not the most modern of properties but well kept/clean.The team is very friendly and made the stay enjoyable, as well as the wonderful team who works at the Cast & Plow restaurant - you must have one meal there at least.Cant wait to come back soon

They have upgraded rooms since my last visit about a year ago. The upgraded rooms are nice. Service is good. The location is also great with nice views of the marina and is 15-20 mins ride from the airport. Overall happy with my stay.

The hotel itself is beautiful there are some shortcomings but that is to be expected regardless of where one stays.I must say that the staff is the very best Ive ever encountered in a hotel in North America shout out to the concierge staff Illina Leff and Lisa Doell as well as the Front Desk they are all super nice and professional, special shout out to Nathan Buchanan.

The service here is 10/10 and the rooms are nice and come with a nespresso machine. Beautiful hotel overlooking the Marina with a great place for meals overlooking the Marina. I stayed here for a stunning wedding at the Ritz! Amazing job by the team here all around.

Disappointing stay. Stayed for 4 nights. I thought atleast the hospitality would be top class in this worn-out hotel, but I was wrong. The woman who checked me in has to be trained well. No greetings, no smile. In-room work desk drawer was empty. Spoke with few guests and looks like this hotel gets filled up by corporate bookings so the guests who rate 5 stars dont actually pay for their rooms. Bell men did not turn up to collect my luggage while check-out despite waiting for 45+ mins. Only positive is the hardworking housekeeping staffs who try to save this hotel from renovation. This hotel is a shame for The Ritz-Carlton brand.
