I had the pleasure to work with The Richard Reyes team, specifically Jose Salazar! We met about a year or two before during an open house in Glendora, Ca. He was professional, friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. The thought of purchasing my first home was very nerve-wracking, but Jose and his team made this entire process easy and processed everything smoothly. Jose made himself available to answer questions, and clear any confusion and misunderstanding immediately. He was always a phone or text away, which gave my husband and I a piece of mind, knowing it would not linger for a few days until we heard back. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Unprofessional. Impersonal. Doesn’t communicate. Not a very personable experience. Doesn’t return calls or texts or takes days to do so. Took over a week to get back to me and that took intervention by my lawyer to get a response. Didn’t go over any of the paperwork or offers unless I asked. It was just, “review and sign” by email. I had to “cheat” on him with other real estate agents I knew personally just to get guidance or discuss pros and cons of offers. All of them said, “your agent didn’t discuss this with you? Major red flag!” Doesn’t guide you through any of the processes at all. Never came to view the property. Never personally showed the house. Never even met in person. Didn’t even provide updates on close of escrow dates, etc. even the buyer’s agent had a hard time getting ahold of this guy. If I wasn’t reaching out for updates, I’d get none. Even when we closed escrow, he was telling me there were some paperwork issues - which I confirmed with the escrow officer that all was good. Places all blame on his clients rather than owning his end of things. He’d told me I could leave my dogs in the garage during an inspection, and when the buyer was upset about not being able to go into the garage - he blamed “his client” rather than apologizing and owning the miscommunication.
