With a few refinements The Lodge at Sonoma could be an outstanding place to stay. It is a tastefully decorated hotel with a great lounge area and rooms. However having no room service on the evenings esp when on site restaurants are closed was a let down. The pool area is very tired and could do with an upgrade including the sun loungers. No robes and slippers in the rooms, unusual for a luxury hotel. Concierge staff were great and the Wit & Wisdom was a great restaurant - our waiter Michael was especially great. Overall we enjoyed our stay though those abovementioned points were notable inconveniences.

This hotel is amazing, the rooms are very nice and you have everything you need, the hotel is very clean and has many green areas where you can relax, the spa is very good. There are two restaurants in the hotel, one is for dinner only and I recommend making a reservation, the other restaurant is open at any time but in both the food is delicious, I recommend the Chilaquiles, very delicious. The pool area is excellent to go and have a good time. The best thing is that you can bring your pet, the hotel has plenty of space for a good walk. I recommend this hotel 100% and I hope to return very soon.

3 stars based ONLY on positive service experience by Maria and HeidiThe lodge Sonoma is somewhat dated and the regular rooms are not designed for safety or comfort. I dont consider this property as a luxury or high end resort. The first room had broken shower and mildew corners.When sharing concerns around the quality of the room, especially for the price point it was clear that the initial front desk representative had no compassion for guest. Therefore, we decided to check out and find another hotel.Upon checking out, we encountered Heidi and Maria, who turned our negative experience into a positive one. They not only listened and responded with empathy, but upgraded the less than ideal room as a gesture of goodwill. Employees like Heidi and Maria can save a hotels reputation as the initial representative can ruin it.Thanks Heidi and Maria for understanding and embodying the epitome of customer experience.

When we tried to book on the Marriott site, there were multiple discount codes available, however, when you click through to book the discount isnt applied. So beware of that before anything. We had to call this hotel, go through a two hours of back and forth and filling out forms and sending via FTP to get the discount.Once we arrived the property was lovely. The pool is beautiful and tranquil. The main lobby is spacious with a great vibe and well decorated. The location of the hotel itself isnt proximal to anything and certainly not the town center. Youll need to get a Lyft or walk a mile+ to the square where most restaurants are found.The staff on site was hit or miss. Bartenders were solid and knew the area well. Cocktails were also solid. Wine selection was okay.Overall, Id recommend staying elsewhere in Sonoma closer to town where you can make a reservation for the actual price in

My husband sent me away for some R&R for a few days. I booked the Lodge because of its proximity to the wineries I was interested in visiting and the rooms looked updated and modern.During my stay, I felt a little disappointed overall. The carpets needed a deep clean, there was a large crack in the ceiling crown moulding as well as a huge crack in my shower. The patio furniture was dusty and there was a gap under the door where I had to put a towel under so the bugs wouldnt come in. Also I booked a king room in the hotel because I was traveling solo. But I was upgraded to a Jr. Suite, I felt a little anxious having my door face out into the courtyard. I wished that the hotel had contacted me to ask if I wanted the upgrade and not just assumed that it would be ok. Lastly, because I was in a suite, I had to keep all my blinds closed for privacy so I didnt get any natural light in the room for the entire stay which was a little depressing. Not exactly what I had in mind after paying $1000+ for two nights. On the other hand, I really liked the onsite restaurant Wit and Wisdom, the service was excellent and the dishes were tasty as were the wines. The hotel was quiet which was also very nice. But overall this was a fail for me, I wont be returning anytime soon.

A very unique place that can provide a great getaway for peace and tranquility. Being away from the hustle and bustle allows one to enjoy the amenities of the resort like spa, pool, grounds, bar and the restaurant, and just enjoy life.Enjoy free wine samples, pack your own fresh lavender satchel and enjoy a rustic relaxing atmosphere.

I stayed here this past week and was blown away by the beautiful property. The gardens are stunning, and we were in a cottage which was charming and quaint with an outdoor sitting area. Our room itself had a beautiful fireplace. We enjoyed the complimentary bikes outside of the cottage to go explore the nearby Square of Sonoma. Check out Roche vineyards for a nice patio experience on the bikes. Location was perfect for a long day hike we did along the ocean and for exploring the scenic vineyards around the area. All staff members we encountered were very professional and helpful. Dont miss out on dining at Wit + Wisdom. This was a highlight of our trip. Laurie the concierge was the sweetest as well. She was thoroughly invested in us having a great time in Sonoma. We loved relaxing in the hot tub as well as it was chilly in the mornings. I enjoyed the class with Marigold at Sonoma Yoga to recover post hike. I cant say enough great things about our experience and we cant wait to be back for an annual girls trip.

The staff was incredible, so warm and kind. The level of customer service was just world-class. They made my husband and I feel so welcomed. It was a trip that we both needed after tax day. I highly recommend the spa. The spa had a lot of options, and I really liked the product lines they provided. The restaurant inside the lodge is Fantastic, they have a menu that meets everyones needs. The food is fresh, beautiful, and thoughtful. The beautiful people who run the restaurant are just amazing, and they always have the perfect recommendations. This includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I probably should have put this at the beginning of my post, we stayed here a week from Monday through Saturday. Im going to miss the Lodge at Sonoma, but my husband and I will be back. We made this our thing.

My stay was great. A wonderful lobby with complementary wine tasting every night, which was very nice. I wish the rooms were just a little bit nicer, but all the same the little village aspect was really pretty to walk around, and I had a really pleasant time sitting by my fireplace. I also had a nice visit to the spa, and ordered some really great room service! Definitely a win in my book. It was raining when I was present, and the outdoors was a little lackluster during this- everything seemed closed down and dark (which was a bit of a bummer). Still, the stay was a higher caliber than non-autograph Marriotts, so it was quite enjoyable.
