Matt Mora made me feel like there was a friendship every time we spoke or texted. At first he didnt take my case so I went with someone else, two years later after that terrible firm was trying to convince me to accept a bad settlement I called him for a second opinion and he explained everything they should have done and everything he could do and I immediately switched lawyers. My case wasnt an easy one but he was able to get me a better settlement and benefits. I totally recommend Matt Mora and this firm. Michael Burgis is Outstanding! He truly fought for us. We had tried another attorney, who was not helpful at all and switched to Michael who worked so hard for us. Extremely disappointed with this law firm . Want to sell 1 of the case for less money that I literally have spent in gasoline and milage in going to all diferente Doctors I’ve seen. David Romero is disappointment to say the least .He lies and lies and flip back in forth in what he says from one conversation to the next . Absolutely no respect for me . Arguing with me their client . They are also refusing to give me a complete copy of both my cases. Why ? Why ? Great reviews for Matt . I wish I would have gotten him instead. I was referred to this Attorney. I saw the reviews, the Collège that referred me said they 100% did workmans comp. I got a call a little bit later than scheduled. He started out. Im going to be blunt. It was the most discouraging conversation. We normally dont do this or that. We cant guarantee someone will call you back or text you back. It may be 3 weeks. Its a fight. It takes a really long time for everything. He couldnt give me an estimate when I could be seen by a doctor for treatment, they dont even know if a doctor would accept me. I have an attorney since November 2023, I was having problems getting them to respond. At least when they did, it was always encouraging. When i saw these reviews, it looked like they were encouraging and had great communication. Marvin gave me no hope. It was like he didnt want another case. I asked how would you rate the outcome of cases you won. He said you dont win, what you win is you get the treatment, the disability or what ever it is, you dont win a settlement. Yeah, I was shocked. I got injured at my job because of a faulty surface, also from a heavy door that slammed into me and knocked me over. This was on the property that hired my company that I work for. If I wanted the same outcome that my job would get me through workmans comp, I would have not looked for an attorney. SMH. I am not going to beg this guy to take my case. He pushed me away. I am staying with who I have right now. There was nothing positive he had to say. I thought I was going to get Matt or someone else who were mentioned in the great reviews.

If I could give 10 stars I would. I hardly do reviews unless I’m extremely pleased or displeased. My mood is through the moon to say the least. From the day I had my accident the team at Michael Burgis were phenomenal. My case worker Yecenia immediately put me in treatment with the best doctors. She always answers the phone and if she is busy she will always call you back or email same day. I can only imagine how hard that is with dozens of clients. My chiropractor was amazing in fact he was so good I still go to him privately for maintenance as I do Judo and MMA. His adjustments make you feel like a new person every time. Anytime I wasn’t able to drive due to pain they provided me with an uber. As far as compensation goes they over delivered. My lawyer Sean went above and beyond to make sure I got paid what I deserve. He spoke to me in detail every step of the way. I honestly was not expecting what I got and I’m beyond happy with my compensation. The most stressful work comp case I have ever dealt with. I was seriously injured for over a year. They sent me to a doctor three and a half hours away one time. There was no chiropractor there. Waste of time. Never got any treatment whatsoever. I called/emailed almost every single day to get updates about my case. Every time someone responded there was a different excuse as to why I hadnt gotten my money yet. I had to contact the insurance company myself. They were so rude and acted like they didnt care at all. When my case settled (for less money than if I would have been working the whole time) it took 2 MORE months to get my check. I dont know how they have so many good reviews. My advice, go to someone else if you want to be respected and taken seriously.

In 2020, I was involved in a potential career ending work injury. Due to the line of work I am in, I was expecting to be provided with the best medical treatment possible, but unfortunately that was not the case.I was then referred to Matt Mora by friends and immediately contacted him. I declined to sign and he said that he would have to defense attorney correct the documents.. Mind you this was October 2022. So now we just went before the board on February 8th 2023 and all was corrected and agreed and today February 17, 2023 I still have not signed my settlement documents! Im being told that once again that the defense had not corrected the dates of my TD ( Total Disability) more lies... these people are c dishonest play games and spend more time arguing with there clients instead of the defense. Due to repetitive work my body started deteriorating, I saw doctors but did not consider a worker’s compensation claim as I thought it would be a lost cause. Years passed by and I decided to contact the attorney’s office for a phone consultation in which I was given all the resources I needed to start a lawsuit. Matthew was very helpful and helped me in my preferred language (Spanish.) After about half a year my case was settled and I was compensated. Literally experiencing complete frustration with this law office and Michael Myoral. It takes a week or 2 to get any return calls or texts about your case or if you call with an important issue about your case expect to be sent to voice-mail and wait another 3-4 days before you get a response if you even get one. Most attorneys have an assistant or secretary to call and update or relay information if important but I keep getting nothing but the run around. The Work Comp. system is BS, not to mention the difficulty of dealing with AIG insurance who doesnt want to pay for proper care at any level.
