Choosing Dale to represent me was single handily the best decision I ever made. The Criminal Justice System can be very confusing and it’s important to have someone Represent you that has been on both sides of the coin of Attorney and Prosecutor. Dale has been in the game a long time and his accolades speak volumes. I had the pleasure of watching him speak during my Preliminary and the way he carries himself with such confidence was amazing and it lead to a full Dismissal. I wish I could give Mr. Gomes a review higher than five stars. He is absolutely great at what he does. He’s very kind, very knowledgeable and very easy to communicate with. About a month ago, I discovered I had a warrant that was five years old. I reached out to Mr. Gomes law firm and was able to get a hold of him immediately.When I talk to him on the phone, he reassured me that the warrant I have isn’t going to interfere with what I have currently going on in my life. Dale Gomes went above and beyond to help our family with some legal help/advice. We came to him with some questions about some charges that hadn’t been filed yet, but might be- he assured us routes to take to fight the charges and made us feel at ease throughout the process. The case ended up being dropped and never filed, but once Dale found out it wasn’t going to court he reached out immediately to inform us of the good news so we weren’t sitting around for months wondering. He was professional, honest, easy to talk to, and a great help. He truly cares about his clients and he really knows his stuff. I got a pretty serious DUI last October, changing the direction of my life for the foreseeable future. Needless to say I was apprehensive and more than a little scared. Having never been in a situation like this, and being on the other side of the country from everything and everyone I knew, I wanted a lawyer who knew what he or she was doing and who cared. So picking the right one was extremely important to me. In the end, I believe I made a good choice.Dale was great. With twenty years-plus of experience, he is well known in the courts, and I found that comforting. Besides that high level of experience, he was responsive to my phone calls and e-mails. And he always leveled with me, telling me what we were up against and the best way to proceed. Through it all, no matter how bad of a place I felt I was in, he was always there reassuring me that things would be okay, and that one has to continue to go on with life, even though everything felt like it was on pause.I like Dale and highly recommend this law office.

Time served with 100 days instead of 8 years, no registration, and the ability to be with my child. He even adjusted his court load to ensure I made it on time to my child’s appointment, which is monumental. He has helped made this extremely difficult process as easy as it could possibly be. He even worked on his honeymoon trying to help my case, I thank God for him daily. I had engaged the Gomes Law Firm to handle a case for my relative. There were a great many uncertainties with the case and even pleading guilty, the range of consequences was substantial. I was assured during the consult that he would deliver the best possible results without resorting to distorting the truth to the court. They are highly protective of their reputation here. After my DUI, I was lost and confused. I called and left a message for an attorney on a Sunday, and then I called the Law offices of Dale Gomes; Dale answered his phone on a Sunday. He assured me that it would be OK. I thought about it and figured anyone who answers their phone on a Sunday is someone I want behind me. I have many health problems with diabetes on an insulin pump. I have had no criminal history, and this was my first time getting in this type of trouble; to be clear, it is not worth the risk or money to drink and drive, and at 47 years old, I knew better.I messaged Dale the information and hired him, but my payments were not always on time. I had lost my job for a bit but soon was able to pay his fee, and let me tell you, Dale Gomes was worth the money. While I always did not communicate well with his office, it made it difficult because I worked a forty-hour-a-week job and a second job twenty hours a week, often making it difficult to communicate. It took to resolve my case; Dale did fight for me. I am writing a longer-than-normal review because this process can be very stressful if you do not have a reasonable attorney behind you along the way.The outcome was three-year probation, an intoxalock for three years installed in my car (not worth the DUI or the expense), three days of work project (denied because of my health issues), three days of home detention, restricted license to and from work only, and DUI classes.I went down to the work project place and was told they could not see me that day; the deputy then said you would need to come back and camp out at 4 AM so you can get in line early. Well, I had to wait for another month before I could get back down there; I showed up early and got in line, waiting patiently. I hear people saying they only take the first twenty people. I went in, filled out paperwork, was treated rudely, and sent to home detention. I then had to return because I had no CDL or CID, so I had to go to DMV (make an appointment), get my ID returned with my roommate with the completed application, and have my roommate sign the consent search for our home.I received a call on a Saturday morning that they gave me the option of when to come in and get booked; they gave me three different days. I chose a Friday because I would miss the less amount of work. Although, I would have to take one day off from my main job and two days from my part-time job.On the day of the booking, I went down at 6:45 AM; I was there early and first in line, but standing in line and listening, to people. Some people it was their first offense, some first-time offenders had to do up to one to four weeks of home detention. I realized that Dale had fought hard for me in my DUI case. I went in the officers fit me with a breathalyzer that would go off periodically, and I would have to blow. They also said I had to return Sunday at 6:45 AM to be released, which I thought would be Monday morning. I received a phone call Friday night asking me how I was doing and if I had any questions. They confirmed they would not be coming out to search my residence and would see me on Sunday morning. They also ask you to remove any alcohol or drugs from your premises. On the morning of my release, I stood in line and heard people again chatting; one person said I asked my roommate to hide my beer under his bed because it was not supposed to be in the house. I thought to myself that either this person did not read, or they did not understand that no alcohol meant anything in the house, or he did not care. Again I began thinking I was lucky to have Dale fight for me in my case.If you’re a first-time offender, I suggest that Dale Gomes and his team fight for you because you will apricate it in the long run, DUI is expensive, and with harsher laws for first-time offenders, it is not worth the risk. However, if you call Dale and his team, let them fight for you. Thank you for your assistance and for helping resolve my case.

Let me say I was in a tough spot. Dale believed me when I said I was innocent and being somewhat railroaded. He focused on making the DA review evidence and was able to secure me a dismissal. Its never a fun experience to need a lawyer. However, from the day I contacted Dale I felt relief from the stress and anxiety of my situation. Dale was very up front about what to expect and how the process was going to go. No false hopes(unlike other lawyers I had inquired with) just told me he was going to get me my best possible outcome for my situation, which he did. I had called multiple lawyers for a free advice session and ended up moving forward with Dale. After everything came to a close and I punched the numbers, the money I saved with him representing me pretty much covered his fee. He appeared for me on all dates needed, he did all the foot work, anytime I requested for him to see if there was something we could do regarding fines and so on he was more than willing to put me back on the schedule and make an attempt to get a better outcome (which he was almost always successful with). For my case it was a flat fee, there was no changes or upped fees even if it got extended. I was even set up with a very reasonable payment plan, which I was able to pay off before everything finalized. He even helped me with a different situation that was unrelated at no extra cost. I truly appreciate the peace of mind, willingness to help and the way he put my mind at ease. His staff/legal aids were also awesome and very friendly. No judgement, no b.s., no issues. Very glad I went with Dale and I would recommend him to anyone who asked.

Mr. Gomes was very cordial and professional, and all-in-all rather a delight to deal with. After spending a year on pre-trial release, which entails a GPS ankle monitor, waiting for my court appointed attorney to prove that the laptop computer I had allegedly stolen was in fact my laptop, I got tired of waiting for El Dorado County Superior Court to provide me the legal representation that I deserved, and I decided to seek private council. About a month after hiring Mr. Gomes I was informed that the DA had finally decided to look into my claim that the victim was lying about the laptop, and although the laptop was released to the victims on the scene, after a year the DA finally contacted them and found out that they hadnt even turned it on, after having been released the laptop in the field last March 5th. So on February 19th of the following year, a matter of weeks after hiring Mr. Gomes, I attended court for the last time. All my charges except for trespassing were dropped that day, and finally I have this iShackle off my leg. If I complete a class in the next 90 days even the trespassing charge will be dropped, and I will have NO TAIL. I wont go into details but Mr. Gomes was confident enough of his ability to resolve this matter pre-trial and get the charges dropped before we even need go further that he offered me a reduced retainer fee in lieu of a reasonable fee to go to trial. Needless to say I was very comfortable agreeing to a larger fee in the event that I take it to trial - Mr. Gomes assured me there was likely no need to take it that far. And he was right. Thank you so much for helping me get my charges dropped. Its hard to know who to trust for good legal help in this county, but I found one of the good ones.
