Working with John and Christian to sell my house was a total pleasure. John went out of his way to do all he could to assure the sale was complete and smooth. He always responded when I had questions and did everything he stated he would do. It was a complete and total pleasure working with John and as so pleased I selected him as my realtor. My husband and I had been searching different places in the States to where we would feel comfortable to retire… We arrived in Palm Springs and in no time this place ticked all the boxes.. We had limited time to look for a place so we got to work and found a condo that we wanted to look at. We rang the agency and was put onto an agent named John Slater, he took us through the first condo.. he was very informative, friendly and at the same time laid back and let us wander in our own time.. this wasn’t the place for us… in that week we saw many places, in that time John got to understood what we were looking for, what was available and what was coming up that would suit our taste and budget ..We returned to DC empty handed, John’s research, dedication and knowledge kept us in the loop to what was happening in the Dessert in a crazy real estate market.John understood our frustrations but because of his passion and understanding of the Dessert and it’s real Estate we were kept in the loop and saw many places via zoom, John would point out why he thought each place would be of interest to us, he always got it right and was willing to put our bids in for us!In August of 2022, bingo we found the right place for us, our offer was accepted, we had not physically seen the Condo but from the pictures and zoom inspection and John’s verbal dialogue we purchased our place in Palm Springs. The realtor John S and assistant, Cristina M have been working with us were extremely attentive and communicative between transactions and appointments. John is a excellent Realtor. He is extremely knowledgeable about both Real Estate and the local market, and is up-to-date with current trends and neighborhoods. He is competent and capable, and a skilled negotiator who will work in your best interests. More importantly, though, he is a wonderful human being. He is empathetic, kind, always seeks to understand his customer’s point of view, and goes the extra mile to do what is right in each situation. He was a life saver and a godsend in helping me settle my late Aunt’s estate, which was complicated by having to postpone foreclosure sales three times until probate authority could be established, so that my developmentally disabled cousin would not be left homeless and destitute, and further complicated by my being 3,000 miles away, and handling all this during the height of the pandemic. I was dealing with the death of a relative in Southern CA. Being from out of state, I ran into quite a few issues with getting the property to probate, as well as selling said property. This is where John Slater and his group really came through. Multiple phone calls to the mortgage company on my behalf. Talking me through my options and ways to respond when the house was going through foreclosure. Meeting me when I flew in from NC to get specific papers and doing alot of the hustle and dirty work that I was not familiar with in CA probate. That was John. His experience, his drive, his patience(with the time change and me) made it such an easy choice for me when I needed to sell the house. Thank you again for all the work and help.
