This place comes across as a typical bar when you enter with typical bar expectations, but the service was outstanding and above and beyond expectations. We ordered a 20 inch pizza and a couple drinks...again, excellent friendly service! The pizza was huge and also above beyond all expectations. I would venture to say it may have been the best pizza I have ever had.Walk to the back of the bar and they have a super cool outdoor seating area...a bit chilly tonight, but still, just a cool atmosphere. Hands down, one of the best Palm Desert experiences I have had in four years of visiting from MN.Will be back.

A decently sized bar and pizzeria with great atmosphere. They sometimes have live music, which makes it very entertaining to enjoy the food there. As for the food, we ordered the California pizza. Visually, the pizza looked very appetizing. It had a decent amount of toppings and the cheese was very stretchy! Our only problem was that the bottom of our crust was a bit burnt, which made it crunchier than it should’ve been. Regardless, if the crust is not burnt, their pizzas would be very good, especially with their great atmosphere!

Perfect bar for a late night brew and slice of pizza. Wife enjoyed 2 Moscow Mules we each got a slice of pizza. The pizza hit the spot. Cheesy, greasy, crust was nice and crispy. Great vibes with pool tables.

Ive been coming here while Im working in the area for at least four years. I love the pizza and the salads, and look forward to it every time Im in Palm Desert. The pizzas have always been consistent, the service varies, depending on bartender. Have never had a bad experience. Beers are cheap Always am well taken care of by owner, Brad.

Posting this again because the owner took down my post.Women get drugged at The Hood Bar & Pizza constantly and no action has been taken, none ever, not even once. Ladies/gentlemen/anyone, if you decide go to The Hood Bar & Pizza for a drink just please, please be safe and DO NOT leave your drink anywhere-keep your drink in your hands and close to you at all times, I cannot stress this enough. I am not the only victim of this circumstance at this bar. I understand this can happen at any bar, but it seems to be quite the common occurrence at this one. Its terrifying... just very, very scary. Everyone please just be aware of your surroundings and stay safe if you decide to go to this bar....I really dont understand how theyre still open after the multiple health violations they receive every year (proof in public documentation) and especially the fact that plenty of people fall victim to being roofied at that place. Very sad and extremely frustrating.

I didnt like this place at all before but we go on Sunday for open mic and its great.. I love the waiter and ish is great..hes the host! the food was really good to. We got it in a timely manner. We had the Greek pizza with pesto! We try to go every Sunday now..

Used to be one of my favorite bars, service tonight was slow, pizza was not the same 3 months ago used to be my favorite pizza in the valley they made changes I asked the bar tender but seemed like I was just being rude rather then telling me the adjusting changes, he said we have three cooks for the pizza. In reference this was a chucky cheese pizza when before it was more like a papa John’s thinner with more flavor hence bring back John the bar tender he made me the best pizza. Or fix the cook because you all went from spicy pie “stage coach” relatable pizza to frozen pizza don’t know what happened but not the greatest fan besides the slow service, not the same pizza I remember beside they messed up my order the first time.

Me and my best friend grew up in the valley and have gone plenty of restaurants in the valley before but never in my experience have I had a bartender be so unhappy and rude, it felt like we were profiled as either nonlocals or “too young” or whatnot because the same bartender treated everyone else like normal but this guy really went out of his way to really never make us want to go back and to the point I would even actively discourage people from going there. We have zero attitude, if anything we were just newbies to that restaurant and we weren’t even offered a water or anything while we waited for the food, we didn’t complain or add any extra wording or anything that may have caused the way he was acting.

Best dive bar in the area, walked in a strange, left feeling welcomed. Great food, God beer selection, strong cocktails. Karaoke night, awesome back patio, mostly Locals, which is nice in such a touristy area.

We stopped in on a Tuesday afternoon, stopping in Palm Desert halfway between San Diego and Vegas. The place doesnt look like much from the outside, but the people inside made for a great place for a Happy Hour. The locals were friendly and shared a lot of cool information about their establishment and the area. Ashley our bartender was great, and super attentive to everyone. The chances of us being here again are probably slim to none, but for anyone in the area - come in, get a drink, say hello and have fun.

Went to see some bands. The sound was great. Everything was nice except the kegs blew. I was disappointed as they gave me bottles and charged the price for bottles. I didnt realize until the end of the night. Because of this, I went over my budget which was a not so nice surprise, that has effected my week.I think they shouldve given me tap prices, what I started with when k arrived.Other than that everything was nice.

This amazing bar really needs to be revamped. It’s been the same schedule for the last 6 years every Friday - Sunday night. The drinks have become way more expensive, and the bar tenders are serving next to nothing in alcohol. All the Drinks are inconsistent with the servings. The food depending on the cook is inconsistent. This bar really needs and over haul. Please call bar rescue

One of the best chill bars in the valley. Has everything from an indoor area with pool tables, air hockey, and a few other games to a chill outdoor area. Definitely worth checking out during the evening, Friday nights are drag bingo and Saturday nights are comedy night as far as I know, and it’s always awesome!

I swear this place is the savior to this rather slow desert area lol. This is a very cool hip place that just feels like all your neighborhood buddies meet at for amazingly strong but reasonably priced drinks and amazing bar food! I just love it here! Sometimes they have stand up comedy, and other talents singing, rapping etc. you can shoot pool, play table hockey, sock the punching bag machine or just simply listen to some good tunes on the bartender’s playlist. It’s such a vibe, it’s chill. I come in in my sweats all nice and comfy and fit right in. Great job guys you all are doing amazing! Best local bar ever! Wait I almost forgot the best part is when I can’t sleep I have until 2am to go here every night of the week and mingle with ppl and get a good stiff drink and awesome food, food stops being served at 1am I believe so that’s perfect for me!

This locals hang out is the place to go when you want to have a fun night out and not be overwhelmed. Sometimes its packed, other times its packed with good vibes. You can catch a bite late night, pizza and tots are the fave and they will serve you drinks and smiles until just before last call.

Food gets a 5 STAR!!! The amazing pizzas and bar apps you want! So good and fresh... Which means it isnt super fast but worth the wait. Depending on the crowd!!Bar has different nights like locals day all day happy hour... Drag queen bingo... Open mic.... Kareoke.... Video games..... Went on a Thursday at happy hour. The hood is a no nonsense neighborhood bar. People there are some of the nicest desert rats you will ever meet. The staff is welcoming to all who enter and do very well in that respect. The Hood, known for its pizza is also rumored to have the best burger in town. Hope to kreder one soon to experience it. All in all 5 stars for the hood. Going to return soon.

This is a great place. I live in Palm Desert and when I want to go out, get some late night food, lose at pool, or hear live bands, this is where I go. The staff is super friendly unless you act like a turd and the pizza is pretty flippin fantastic. You will find a wide variety of people there and the atmosphere is pretty welcoming to anyone.Theres usually no cover charge, its a good place for groups, and the drinks are reasonably priced. Friendly staff, good Happy Hour Prices. Food was good. Went for a special show, so not sure what ambience is like on a normal night.Only challenge for me was the flooring. Apparently theyve scraped up glued-on industrial carpeting, but the adhesion hasnt been completely eradicated. I was wearing heels, and it caused me to stumble several times, as I moved around the room. Definitely more of a flat-soled shoe place.

Great atmosphere, definitely had the feel of a locals hangout without coming across as cliquey. Pizza was pricey but delicious although one of ours was a little soggy, the jalapenos and pineapple chunks prolly needed to be drained better. The service was courteous and prompt. The biggest plus personally was they had an AIR HOCKEY TABLE! Which means its on my short list of places to have my birthday party next year. They were also having a mortal combat tournament which thrilled my 28yr. old dining companion more than me, but still awesome.

A popular live music venue for Palm Springs Palm Desert Coachella Valley. Friday is usually a heavier rock night while Saturday can bring premier touring acts. Sometimes reggae nights too. Went there by chance. Needed a beer on hot afternoon. First impression....place smelt like old piss. It was 98degrees and i was really thirsty. Sat near open door and caught fresh air flow. Cool bartender lady, pleasant local croud. Older crowd/snow birds during the day (when I was there) and looks to get younger at night (stage, live music, punk posters on wall). Hence the piss smell.

Why is Zero stars not an option?? We went in for a lunch time beer... In 15 minutes I saw 15 health and safety violations. Most disturbing... The owner tossed the ice in the bin for some reason with his bare hands. He acted slowly like maybe he was intoxicated... He also bare hand grabbed the top of my straw and then used his whole finger to push it into my Sprite, which was flat. The counter was sticky. The music was way too loud. We were the only two patrons. They were not busy. NEVER GOING BACK!

So, I was quite skeptical about this place before coming here, but my boyfriend said from what he remembered it had a good atmosphere. Well let me tell you, it does! There’s pool tables, air hockey, and they even do free concerts. When we went on a Wednesday, it was happy from 2-7 pm. Their happy hour menu is insane! Insanely good that is. We got two huge slices of N.Y. style-pizza (some of them best pizza I’ve ever had if you want to know the truth), an order of wings (5pcs. Daytona-style [a mix of buffalo and bbq...AMAZING— the perfect mix of sweet and spicy] and they were cooked perfectly), and two cans of PBR and it was less than $20. The regulars seemed friendly and as a former bartender of 10 yrs. I know a thing or two about bars and it didn’t leave anything to be desired. The bartender, I’m not sure how to spell her name (Casey??), was a really good bartender and she seemed to know her stuff. I can’t wait to go back and really test her out. ;)

Went I for a few beers with my bro.I see the deal thats on the poster so I ask the bar tender to give me the deal on the bucket of beer aka deal of the day, the bartender says oh the cash register is busted so you cant got that . I ask whats that have to do with anything to do with the price? your still selling beer so why cant I get the deal .he refused to give us the deal .the place was not inviting the bartender did not want us there that was obvious so I never went back .I felt like I was in a 1942 movie and I was the only minority in the bar and the bartender was bothered that a person like me walked into your bar that your only an employee in .well its not 1942 I can drink water out of the same foset and there nothing you can do about it so get over yourself that prejudice stuff dont fly no more

Its the basic dive bar. they have karaoke and bingo some nites. the pizza is kinda bomb and the drinks are strong and cheap af. I feel like Im the oldest person there and Im only in my 30s. not a bar I would recommend but it is close to my work so I meet some friends on my way home some nites. over all I would say its the local bar u wanna go to on a budget and wanna play pool. it can get crowded and its hot has hell inside.

Got takeout a few times from here when we visited Palm Desert. Every time we like the food more and more. I have been gone for 4-5 years ànd used to drink here when attending COD.Best bar food, you can get greasy stuff, but I would suggest any pizza. Better than dominos at the same price if not 5$ cheaper inch. Tonight I got REAL canadian bacon that was meat colored, and pineapple. None of the bright dyed red 40 sausage that after being cooked looks like some day gave it candy red paint. Same color in the porciline next morning. None of the mozzarella cheese thats cheddar in color. On point.I dont really drink, but this is where I spent my 21st birthday, and after my buddy burned me for my drink money the guy behind the bar gave me a double JD on the house without me having to ask for a birthday shot. Good people oh yeah I was riding a scooter once and the guy offered to ride my pizza to my hotel for me .5/5 dive

Super real dive bar extremely . 1 to 2 people serving and SUPER FILTHY ALL OVER ! EVEN KITCHEN I checked it out. Eeew. Think about those glasses they give you . A clean glass should have the foam on the glass when you drink . Other wise its dirty when you drink a glass and its clear and empty . Didnt properly clean .

Got denied bc my ID wouldn’t “scan” but yet that very ID allowed me to board a plane from Arkansas to here...🤔🙄 it’s my drivers license that I have had since 2015 and doesn’t expire until 2018 issued to me from the DMV. Mind you let me add that I am very legal to enter, I’ll be 25 in December.
