We were in the Brea area, so we stopped at this Home Depot. Super nice & clean looking. The employees are not so friendly as my Corona HD that has a more contractor vibe, not so polished. As a customer, simple welcoming smile and hello make you feel more comfortable when asking for information. I know thats their job to help, but a acknowledge of a customers presence helps. I did miss that part of my shopping experience. Would have given 5 stars for looks, but looks arent everything.

BEWARE, only buy what you really really need here. Home depot has changed its return policies. You can no longer return items over $50. That was one of the top reasons to shop there. The peace of mknd you got with their previous return policy. Now theres not many reasons to buy things there, when you can get it cheaper elsewhere. e.g. harbor freight, Walmart, lowes.....

Came in on a rainy day messed up from plumbing. Saw a sea of orange aprons in this store, AND, no one ran away when they saw me coming to ask a question. Had two gentlemen help me try to first open a 20+ year old faucet. Didnt work then recommended the best options for me. Ill drive a little further just to get this kind of customer service.

Nice place to get just about everything you need for home and garden. This time, tried the pickup lockers (Just outside the front entrance). Lift the flap, touch the screen, enter the code from the text, and it pops open the compartment containing your purchase. Its great for smaller items!

This Home Depot location is my primary location for any house improvement or DIY projects. The store is very organized which makes it easy to locate any item.Plenty of parking, staff is very helpful in case seeking help of any kind.

I shop Home Depot a lot. I use the app to find what I need. This store has so much stuff spread out you cant find anything, especially with the app. The plumbing department has P-traps on the isle with jetted tubs and bath fans. The app says isle 18 but its on 35. When Im tired or in a hurry I hate going here. The employees are super nice and helpful, Ill give them that. The store is very clean too. However, whoever designed the store and updated the app must hate their job and it shows.

I agree with some that the aisles are sometimes cluttered and disorganized. What I hate about these box stores is the very little help, trying to find someone who really is knowledgeable in the various depts. I think they just cross train. Garden area is just okay.

When I checked out Diane was extremely helpful. We wanted two very large raised vegetables beds. Before she charged me she confirmed that there was two available. She tracked down two male employees to help load my SUV. Perry and Gabriel came and loaded everything in. I had great service from all.

Fantastic location! Almost always in stock for what I need and very friendly and helpful stuff. I sometimes go out of my way to come to this location rather than the ones closer to me. The store is very organized (although most home depots are very organized) and clean. Highly recommend

This review is based on Cathy’s lack of customer service skills.I have been shopping at this store approximately 3 times a week for the past 6 years, and have always had great service except from this cashier. Every time Cathy helps me, she has a bad attitude, no greeting or thank you. Normally I don’t pay attention to it, however today there was a mistake while processing my credit card that resulted in a double charge. When I showed her the charge on my credit card app, she shrugged her shoulders and told me it was my fault.

Every single employee said hello to me, like 10 of them. I left over $130 worth of product in the parking lot. Came back and brandon and another employee in returns helped me out alot. Ended up walking out with all my items. Im really appreciative.

Sally assistant manager did a wonderful job and I spoke to him he is professional courteous and he did the right thing he should be be commended.Just a side note some people cant handle training a new employee dont give them the cash because the only one available make sure the new hires get the best person and that means that they have to take it take them away from what they normally do fine somebody needs to make sure that those employees at a brand-new understand what customer service and professionalism is all about and how to deal with pressure when under it and no point in time soon employee ever act unprofessional it reflects poorly on the Home Depot and everything it stands for

There was some confusion among staff while we were looking for specific items so that aspect could have gone smoother. The check out was quick with only a short line. Always treated well here. I spend about $100 a day at Home Depot, as a contractor I frequently need some part, or piece to complete a project and Home Depot is easy in easy out. They have many experienced service people there to answer questions or expedite material orders. The always upbeat staff and extensive inventory keep me coming back. Home Depot has a top notch special order department, follow up and follow through are there strong suits.

Found the plumbing supplies I was looking for. Good selection. Was looking in particular for flapper valve for toilet. Found one package that had a broken connector and another that was missing a part. Brought them to attention of an employee. Seems like its a good idea to compare packages of same product to be sure the product is in good shape and no pieces are missing.

Excellent range of goods and prices to suit all pockets and all decorating and DIY goods you will have need of. Excellent range with outdoor furniture and barbecue plus seating and a really lovely garden centre attached. The staff are all very knowledgeable and helpful when you can find one and the only reason I havent given 5 Stars its because there are never enough staff oh and a big shout out to the wonderful older guy on the paint mixing department who is always so patient and very very funny and I always leave with a smile

This is a good store. Its the closest to my house. Most of my experiences are positive. Their check out clerks are friendly. Returns are easy. Many things, I know right where to look, but sometimes I struggle to locate an item or section. This is when I start looking for an employee and they are equally difficult to find. When I find one, 9 times out of 10, they are courteous and helpful, so thats good.The missing Star is because on multiple occasions, Im standing there looking lost or walking back and forth past an employee (assuming there happens to be one in the area) and there is no intuition on their part to offer to help. Is that store policy? To wait to be asked before helping customers? If it is, then everyone is doing great. Ill give 5 stars and call it a day.I just feel like Im modern American society, customer service is prime and that starts with intuitive and helpful employees who actually want to help. At any grocery store, or other retail establishment, any time an employee crosses the path or makes eye-contact with a customer, they are trained to ask, Are you finding everything ok? Can I help with anything? - Unprompted. Id be surprised if this is not a policy for this company/store.

This has been, by far, the worst experience I have had in a retail store. It took 20 minutes to find someone who could help me. As I’m walking around for help, another customer noticed. He said, “oh you can’t find help either? They have all those people at the register and know one to help find stuff.” He was waiting for awhile too. Your only saving grace was a very sweet older lady arranging some carts outside. She was friendly. This would have been one star if it wasn’t for her being so sweet.

Been here a couple times in search for different things for the house. Each time I found what I was looking for and the staff were more than willing to help me locate what I needed.They offer different DIY building projects for kids on certain Saturdays. A couple of months back there were kids making birds nests with their parents, which is an awesome service for them to have.Parking is convenient and no hassle, and they carry just about everything you would ever need from a home improvement store.

One of the worst experiences received in the paint dept on Sunday sept 5th. Waited to be served in the paint dept for 20 minutes. Joe TJ and another Mexican attendant did not bother to ask how they could help. 2 other customers came after me and they were assisted right away. I had to approach TJ and asked if I would be standing here like an idiot without any help. He looked least bothered. With much frustration I walked to the customer service dept to show my dissatisfaction. Ur staff Katie was very apologetic and helped me find what I was looking for. She even got a ladder and brought down the merchandise unlike the other 3 guys who cared least and continued with their sarcastic laughing and jokes. It is a shame to have such people working in a well known chain store.

If I could 0 stars i would. Went to buy new powertools for my dads birthday and instead of employees asking if I need help was told that the area would be closed in 10 min. Same employee appeared to be following me around store after as well even when I was at check out. Said employee and blonde manager (I assume) was there. Whole experience at this homedepot was terrible. Regret spending over 300 on power tools there today for a terrible experience. The only good thing was that cashiers were willing to help me purchase extra protection for the powertools .

Great customer service from Gee cutting down some plywood that is too big for my vehicle. He also helped us get an extra checker when the line got really long (the one major downside to my trip). This location also stopped carrying 4x8 laminated MDF. I got lucky and scored some water damaged MDF pre-cut shelves for 70%off that was near the cutting stain in the back.

I picked up an online purchase from this brea location. I bought a piece of lattice then proceeded to the lumber department and asked for help/info to build a lightweight frame for it. He sent me all the way to the other end of the store to the garden department, told me to ask them for help. I took a quick look around not finding anything I need, then tried to exit from the outside area. I showed the old checkout lady my receipt. She began harassing me claiming it wasnt a receipt. So I went back inside & thought Id give it another try. I spent 3 hours in this store walking in circles looking for any sign of intelligence from any of their workers. At one point, I ended up in the hardware department. I tried to ask a question from 2 different workers (youngsters) in that aisle & was treated EXTREMELY badly. No respect! I got so angry, I left.

Use your cell phone to navigate store.I enter the store thinking I know where Im going but quickly get lost. It irritates me that theres few people to ask. Thats when I realized that when you shop on the website it tells you the location of stock in your preferred store! Okay so I might the the last person on the planet to figure this out, but I wanted to share because it took me straight to the item I was looking for and left the store a happy customer (minus 1 star for not alerting the public of this great way to shop).

Home Depot has the worst online delivery tracking and customer service. I placed several orders for a large home renovation and the delivery was all screwed up. Either you can’t track the delivery online or the delivery is made outside of the designated window. No one ever makes the 30 minute advance call. When you call customer service, ineptitude is immediately apparent.Try Lowe’s or order on Amazon if you don’t want to go crazy and spend all of your days waiting for something that might arrive...

Personally I use the mobile site when the staff isnt close by and that gets me to what I need. Their prices are reflective of mainstream retail and comparable with a quick Amazon search.

The guy loaded the wrong Christmas tree onto our truck. We bought a beautiful Noble fir on Dec. 10, but were given a cheap Douglas fir--with someone elses name on the tag! Why do they check your claim tag if they arent going to match your name with the tree??! This tree sat in our dark garage for over a week (in a bucket of water, of course) because we werent ready to put it up. So tonight we brought it inside, and noticed that it looked odd. When I realized what had happened I was ready to cry: We had picked out the perfect tree, early enough to have a good selection to choose from; and now we have to haul this other thing back and try to find one thats decent (less than a week before Christmas?--good luck!). There was no reason for this to have happened--its inexcusable. I will double- and triple-check in the future to be sure Ive been given the tree I bought--but for this year, Home Depot has really messed with our Christmas. Bah, humbug!

This is a shout-out to Mike in plumbing for his good customer support.First, this store has less floor area than other nearby HD stores. This structure was originally a National Lumber store. I recently went to the Brea store to look for parts for a kitchen sink drain. These parts were not listed on the web so I had to take a chance. When I first asked an employee for the location of the needed parts I was directed to isle 45; Wrong isle. Next, I searched unaided until I found Mike in plumbing. Mike knew the exact location and escorted me to make sure I was able to find the items; The items were found. At that point he started to leave and I asked where the plumbers putty is located; Mike told me and then said he would walk around with me on he way back to where I found him. Without Mikes help this would have been a 3 star rating; Did I say this is a shout-out for Mike in plumbing?

I despise this store, but its the closest to me. The aisles are always cluttered with packaging or closed off with nobody working, I can never get help when I need it. Today employees were arguing and swearing loudly! I got to the checkout and two checkouts open, the gentlemen sent me to another register and closed down to start a credit card for another customer. I got to the other register and it closed down for a credit card as well, I was buying tools and had the magnets. Had to go through self checkout and do everything myself. Im fed up with this store! They advetise electronics recycling c/o L.A. kids chamber of commerce. So my guy and me drop off three wireless printers and we were told that we had to pay $5 per printer. A bad way to operate and one person to recieve every thing. I paid the fee and left. I wont turn in any future recyclables to your store if the l.a. chamber of commerce cant do any better than I found today. :-(

Lazy staff, argumentative manager. Came in to replace a Husky tool. Took over 30 minutes as they could not locate the item number and claimed they couldnt replace the tool.
