When buying a grill make sure they give you a brand new one, I bought the Nex grill delux, and the brought me the display one really dusty and scratched, spoke to the store manger and he said when people order the assembled they always give you the display . I called the 800 customer service number and they said that was not right. They issued me $40.00 credit .this grill looks nice on the outside but the heat shield and other internal material looks very very cheap . I tried to return it but they did not want to pick it up and even when I told them I waned to buy the $ 800.00 pellet grill .Management is not honest please take a look at the heat shields after grilling 2 times .

I did shopping with my Gift card. Was $400 dollars. After I returned my items I received Store Credit. Was 4 days ago. now Im trying to do online shopping its says---cant use store credit online, only in the store. This is not fare, you suppose to tell us before starting return . It was good, just the paints need to be shaken and maybe the people there dont do it for you! It is free! There are cup and sticks for steering the paint all free, but they dont tell you, and you need to know and pick it up!!

Beware the customer service here... went in earlier today to purchase a refrigerator and schedule delivery. The woman working in Customer Service rang me up and told me the delivery would take place tomorrow. She gave me a phone number and instructed me to call between 8 and 8:30 pm this evening to see what four-hour window the delivery would be taking place during. I did exactly as she instructed, and after being on hold and transferred a couple times, I spoke to someone who said its an all-day delivery window. I told her that when I paid for the refrigerator just a couple hours ago the cashier/customer service employee specifically wrote down a number and told me to call for my window. The woman tonight just repeated its an all-day delivery. Not sure whats going on at this location, but they need to get on the same page. So much for customer service. Would recommend a different location.

AVOID. I am the VP of a plumbing company. My guys use Home Depot and Lowes all day long throughout the entire state of California to buy parts while in the field. this Home Depot refuses to call the specific number requested to take payments. We keep our main phone lines open for customer use, so the techs are advised to have the store call a specific phone number for payments. This store has an issue and refuses to do so. My guys have had to walk out of this store on several occasions. I tried talking to a manager and was simply told to express my concerns at the pro-desk No..., how about I spend our $$$ somewhere else?

Decent amount of supplies to choose from. Great deals after Christmas. Help is okay at this location. Hit and miss like every other location. Overall decent customer service and knowledge. Be careful in this area lots of bad drivers in a hurry and police station directly behind Home Depot. The highest crime rate is usually right by a police station. Just be aware of your surroundings in this case. Also if you get stuff from the lumber scrap bin make sure it is properly marked or they wont honor the discount price.

Usually I like to go to Home Depot a couple of hours before closing because it is not as crowded and so much easier to get around.The downside is there are not as many employees to help you if you need it. Also at times when you find one it seems to me like they are mostly tired, burnt out and just want to go home.Last night I ran into the nicest person I’ve meet in a long time.Adonis was so helpful and went above and beyond all my expectations.He was extremely knowledgeable and instead of telling me what I wanted was in some isle and there should be someone to help me, he walked there with me and helped me find everything I needed.So if you need excellent customer service look for Adonis.

I have never felt so offended by the inappropriate attitude of a cashier and an assistant manager in this store. I dont understand how people are in charge who, instead of helping the consumer, attack them as if they were criminals.A simple return turned into an abusive and arrogant act, and after arguing with me they told me we are going to make an exception for you. Really? before putting it to the front, the administration should make sure that they know the companys policies. How would you feel that they will ask you why you chose that store for the return? that they will accuse you that the product was used previously, knowing that it was NEVER taken out of the box. Also tell very sarcastically THAT IN THIS COUNTRY PEOPLE WORK 8 HOURS. That when I asked for a manager. (i felt that answer because of my tick latino pronunciation) sadly, this 2 individuals were Latinos like me. Luis and his team of supervisors are so lazy. My friend needed something unlocked, and 3 employees were sitting having fun at being carelss. It took them more than 10 minutes to get help after my friend requested again. Then Luis said to my friend that he couldnt answer his questions although he never said that he had a question. He only needed help to open the locker. And still yet Luis kept repeating the same sentence that he doesnt know anything about the items. When I wanted to complain, he said that he was one of the supervisors. The other employees who were sitting were supervisors as well. It looks like Home Depot is going to fall apart by this kind of management.

Michael is high in demand for a reason!!!The first associate seem rather inexperienced in handling customer service, he didnt come back to reassure or give any news. So I had to seek someone else who just happened to be helping another customer, unfortunately, Michael was seemingly short-handed with the intercom and radio constantly calling him.. I appreciate that Michael in Hardware has good range of experience to assess what I need and what is a good resolution. He helped me with my issue and ensured the chair was somewhat repaired. He took the time to focus on whats in front of him. I am grateful he was able to help me and many people in shift manner.

Its such a shame that Home Depot stopped doing the locker pick up. I brought some tape online and there was a option for curbside pickup. So I got there at 6am when they open and checked in. I was the only one in the curbside area and 10 minutes went by with no one in sight. So I went to the people coordinating the line and asked how long should I wait. When she told me she was going to check, they came out with my order. It took about 15 minutes for me to get my order. If the pick up locker was still available it wouldnt taken less than 3 minutes

Plenty of parking. Clean working restrooms. They now have a self-serve key making machine. Its just to the left of the check-out. Ive used this machine several times and Ive never been disappointed. The machine will even make a copy key of DO NOT COPY keys.

I placed an order for a kitchen base to be delivered, but the person who took my order seemed completely unaware of the delivery process. They assured me that I would receive my order within two days. However, I find myself waiting the entire day for the delivery, which was scheduled, but 3:30pm just find out (called the store) they will only deliver within a 12-hour window. Its frustrating because I work night shifts at the hospital, and its surprising that the salesperson didnt inquire about my availability. Its evident that the staff at this Home Depot location lacks awareness of whats happening in the store. This experience has been highly disappointing, especially considering it was my first time opting for battery and sport home delivery from Home Depot.

Great items good selection but always crowded. Not enough helpful helpers. Too crowded. If you can deal with that - without a doubt best in re-dos products by far. If it aint here its generally not anywhere! Unless you specialty order it and drive far away for it to create your masterpiece. Expect to wait to buy items. Parking can and will be strained sometimes. Lots of men outside wanting to work. Sometimes can be little beggars especially around women when it comes to getting labor.

Tried to get a flooring installation done. Started the process and paid a $50 deposit for the install. Scheduled and did the measurement within 3 days, but did not hear back from them for the next 2 weeks. At some point, there was a scheduled window for a call to go through the flooring quote, but they missed it and did not follow up.When I tried contacting them, I was rerouted multiple times between different departments (measurement and flooring are apparently separate and hardly communicate with each other).At the end of the day, almost 3 weeks after I initiated the process, I ended up having to cancel the order and eat the $50 deposit I paid. Would not attempt to do flooring with Home Depot again.

Home Depot is a decent retail hardware, tools, materials, supplies, lumber, gardening, fix-it and DIY project store just like most of the rest that are available in the USA. All of the competing stores in this retail category seem to carry exactly all of the exact same brands, models and revisions of products for sale. And their pricing structures are quite nearly the same. What seems to set them apart for me is their distances from my residence, number of stores in the area, hours/days of operation, product merchandising & inventory stocking levels and restocking consistency, how easily products can be found when shopping, how helpful/friendly/knowledgeable/patient the store employees are and how fast, convenient and accurate their checkout options are.In Home Depot at times, finding a helpful/friendly/knowledgeable/patient store employee can take some time; finding the items you want to purchase takes some amount of searching and asking for assistance; you may find that items are not in stock or just not stocked correctly; long lines at checkout, crowded parking lots with lots of people hanging around all day long.Sorry, next time I will remember to take pictures.

Update: Needed racoon prevention from digging up my plant beds. A staff member walked me all the way accross the store to make sure I got what I needed. I was truly impressed and grateful.Last visit: I was amazed at the amount of hope I was able to get yesterday on the items that I needed although once I got home it didnt work well it didnt matter because people were attentive and knowledgeable to a large degree pleasant and helpful. The check outline was long and slow in garden but the cashier woman was so nice it really didnt matter. I always say great customer service can trump anything and everything else that is put in the way ithe way it sure did yesterday. Other customers were nicer as well as a result.

Im a woman. A few weeks ago i called asking for the availability of a motorized wheel barrow (yardmax). The girl i spoke to left me on the phone for maybe 15 minutes then tells me they dont carry it in store b/c its a special order item. I explained it stated online that there was limited availability and its only sold in store... but she gave me the run around so she either didnt know what she was doing or she was lying. Tell me why they somehow found it in 20 minutes or less as soon as my brother arrived ( 10 minutes after my call). Im upset that i wasnt taken seriously and if my brother hadnt shown up we wouldnt have gotten what we needed for our construction project.

Of course there doesnt seem to be enough service technicians to help you look for the items that you want, but if you go up to the help desk they can look it up online for you. its still a top-notch hardware store to look for the items that you need I give it three stars. Home Depot needs more service technicians on the floor to help the customers.UPDATE: Home Depot is hiring, Ive given them one more star due to the lack of staffing issues. I called this Home Depot to see if they had a rain suit for my SO. They took the time to look it up, confirm the size I needed, and had it waiting for me at the customer service register. This is my store. I dont come every day or anything but if I need any hardware I come to this one. As a woman, I am always asking around when I want to do some DIYs and the people here are super nice and helpful. They also have all sorts of paints (from cheap to expensive) and plants!*Bonus points for all of the nice hard-working men who are outside waiting to land jobs. I would like to commend Val Echeveria (the Filipino guy) for a job well done. Yesterday while shopping around for a fridge, he approach me and acknowledge as customer that needs help, while he was also busy operating a forklift. Waited for him to settle and from there he was very helpful checking for fridge availability and estimated delivery date. he has shown enthusiasm for his work and has taken his responsibilities above par. Its hit or miss, face to face most employees are awesome, With only a few negative interactions. Ive ordered 4 different appliances from here and each time Ive had a negative impression from the delivery people. Beware that if you order and ACCEPT the item at your home, the home depot will not help you at all. Even if the item is damaged. Also most delivery people will do the bare minimum and are mostly rude. Again though actual employees of home depot have been always pretty pleasant. It would be awesome if they had a pick up at store option.Update: ordered (against my own better judgement) another appliance and the experience was worst than the one described above. I had to go directly to Whirlpool two times before finally being offered a replacement appliance. So please, please dont buy appliances here.

This is a good home depot. Definitely gets busy on some days and certain times but it has pretty much all the material we need. The clerks and staff are friendly. The only downside is the really busy times where you have to wait in line sometimes for over 20 minutes. But besides that its a good place for material.

What a let down. I tried to order an ac unit using there pick up at store option. I waited days and they still did not process my item. I was charged for the item I have never received it. Which is an ac unit my place is blazing hot. I get there at 7 on Saturday to a line about a 1000 feet of people waiting just to get in the store. So I wait 2 hours to get in the store and find out they sold all of the units that would fit my window. We find out how strong something is under pressure. This store is a huge failure to the people.

Yesterday was not a good experience! I needed some holiday lighting. Maneuvering in that area is horrific! Not because of lots of customers but because of the set up of the holiday area. When checking out at the register the cashier was so focused on conversation with another employee that he didnt even turn his head toward me when handing the receipt to me. He did not show any appreciation for me as a customer!

I stopped by yesterday knowing I wanted supplies to install a bathroom sink not knowing what supplies I needed in terms of plumbing supplies. I just want to say that señor Juan was the best. I was at the self registers and asked an employee there if the register that was open took cash. He said no very bluntly and made me aware he was taking cash at his register. So I was like okay, cool I look over at my family. And they were already at another register so I started walking away. As I was walking the employee yelled at me and said I TOLD YOU I TAKE CASH TOO! I feel like there was no reason for him to yell at me. He didnt know, maybe I did wanted to pay with card at the end or I forgot to get something else. I just felt that was very rude of him. And home depot should address these types of situations. Because it is not okay to get yelled at for no reason, specially from an employee.

My husband and I had to exchange a light fixture. We walked right up the customer service desk, no waiting, but we forgot the receipt. We had the HD credit card, and the charge was quickly refunded to the card by Zach, a most friendly and helpful employee.Next, we went to search for the fixture we wanted, but the only one we wanted was the display model. The only pleasant part of buying a refrigerator from the Home Depot has been the young lady who helped me place the order in store. Other than that the entire delivery process has been a nightmare. I purchased the item on 11/24 expecting it to arrive before Thanksgiving, it’s now 12/7 and NO refrigerator. They attempted to deliver a refrigerator 11/27, that was a damaged unit. I was offered a $100 credit if I took the damaged item, I said absolutely not since I paid 1,300 for this refrigerator! This meant we could not host Thanksgiving in our new home. They rescheduled delivery for 12/7, the night of 12/6 I receive confirmation of delivery from 8-12 on 12/7. I plan to stay home all day waiting, I track it on the app watching the “stops” before my delivery, around 11:50 it disappears from the tracking app!! It cannot find my order. I call the 1-800-455 number on app they state the delivery company is closed and there’s a note that there will be no delivery today! WTH!! I asked why no one contacted me to update me at any time and no one knows when it will be delivered. I have not been able to move my family into our new home due to this refrigerator!! There is currently no refrigerator in the home and with two small children a refrigerator is absolutely needed. Overall this has been a terrible experience. I am currently waiting for a “manager” to call me to explain why there has been no delivery, why no one updated me, and where this fridge is!!

This store gets worse week over week throughout the quarantine. While they’re slightly more able to fulfill orders from stock compared to other HDs, completing the final step to the car seems much more dysfunctional than other stores. They didn’t move the line for 20 minutes today, while tons of people left; they then let 30+ people in en masse. Not great to kick off social distancing while shopping. They’ve also now closed all self checkout so you have to interact with employees while also watching people count their dollars to pay in cash. This is really better? As a frequent shopper/flipper, I’d say this store is failing. If only they would just do more free shipping so we wouldn’t have to go in at all but then our packages would likely get lost for 3-5 days around LA like their typical ship to store orders.

When I approached them they were eating pizza and cookies socializing two men and a woman and when I asked for help they told me I couldnt take one home today that none were available until sundays. We looked online and noticed that they did have some in stock, so they just didnt want to help.I am a nurse I could imagine telling a patient I cant help them or eating on the hour so unprofessional. Cashiers basically do their job unhappily. HD must treat them poorly and they in turn give out “ don’t give a toot” vibe. 80% of registers, now self ck-out. Best thing is curbside. Order online and swing by to pick it up! I love having my bags of dirt brought to my car. Super convenient . Uncomfortable driving by all the men clustered at the lot sometimes looking so hopeful ( so sad, I know they want work) and sometimes leering at me ( creeps). Be careful . Terrible customer service. The employees are not trained to assist clients. I spent 30 minutes on the phone trying to figure out whether they have a product at the store so I can go purchase it, the service employees said they have two in stock but the manager said they don’t have any in stock after 30 minutes of waiting on the phone. And after being transferred 7 times back and forth from one department to the next. Not sure what was so complicated about checking their inventory but I am extremely disappointed. You need to do better for your clients!

Be careful they steal your money for items they don’t sell. On 09/07/2019 I went to buy an appliance bulb and the guy charged me for two when I only got one. I went an hour later to return the bulb and I only got half of the money I paid for. They suppost to call me the next day but they didn’t. I told the lady to check the cameras to verify how many bulbs I got on the time of the purchase but she said nobody was available to check them. I won’t buy there anymore.

They have my order in 2 carts with 2 separate charges claiming one has no order number and cant be released and the other cart doesnt even have all the items.Ive asked for all my money back now on the spot but they have everything so confused they’re not showing half of what they owe. It says I went to home depot 5 years ago and now I no longer own a home so I dont know how they are any more but I know a lot of people and contractors that go in there now that OSH is gone. I prefer a smaller environment like a starred where are and I used to love OSH but since home depot is all thats left of your than a few local hardware stores what choice do we have. O they do have everything not always at the cheapest prices and of course I always recommend doing business with small businesses they all need help just like my small business as needed help so if you have something small you need some light bulbs or a screwdriver or something minor or major I suggest using your local hardware store. Youll be in-and-out in no time there will be no long waiting lines there will be someone to help you right away and you dont always get that at home depot.

This store has really gone downhill. I still remember what a great store it was pre-pandemic. Today I discovered that Home Depot decided to stop carrying the Varathane Ultimate Water-Based Polyurethane in favor of Behr branded poly. This is unacceptable in my opinion and Ive been using Varathane products for many years now. Really makes me wish we still had some smaller hardware stores to compete with the big box stores.This location is always out of stuff I need, and frequently raided by local contractors. Today they were completely out of 3/8 wooden dowels, no idea why that would be, and the Moulding section was mislabeled to boot. The store is so loud, beeping noises everywhere, sirens blaring (like today) and the parking lot is filthy and full of litter.

So Im tryihg to check out at Home Depot today with a large visibly printed price on the item but the cashier couldnt enter it as it had no bar code. She called the Supervisor over. Wouldnt you think there would be an override where you could use a dummy misc barcode and enter the price? Not in this reality. The cashier was instructed to keep entering size dimensions until it matched their price. She had to resort to making decimal changes, e.g. 4.8 in x 12 feet, in many attempts to reach their printed price on the item. She wasnt about to undersell it for a $1 less as that was the closest she could get. But once it was over 45¢ more than the price shown I said Id take it not wanting to give them one more minute of my time since they couldnt resolve their problem. I had to tell people behind me to change lanes and not wait. Meanwhile, they opened a new check out line since they could not override their system. It made me even more resolute on my conviction not to surrender myself to an easier and better life though technology, specifically a smart phone. Its only good when it works. When humans cant override technology its time to wonder when the Apocalypse begins when technology bores of our servitude. Poor Customer Service!

Asked for help 3 times. Heard over head call no one came for about 15-20 min. I was looking for bathroom faucet valves. I dont think they had them. Ended up buying a faucet. Will just replace the whole thing.

Standard, busy Home Depot. Lots of contractors here getting supplies for the day. This is a large store and you can almost always get what you need here. Plenty of parking and easy to get in and out of the parking lot.

Ive been shopping at Home Depots for years and years its great to have a do-it-yourself store with decent prices most of the time but what sucks is poor customer service Ive had so many instances where I havent been able to get Help The Help has attitudes or theyre shooting some type of commercial that they rent it out for that blocks customers for shopping but that didnt matter the fact that people are unknowledgeable and their departments or if you need somebody called it takes a ridiculous amount of time to get help is not okay in my book I should not have to ask for a manager every time I go there

Went for 3 things. They didnt have ANY of them. The flex hose? Cmon, its at the supermarket...not home Depot. The same cheap roll out grass that they put under their bbq display? Nope got some for$200 though....this is consistent with EVERY store in the Van Nuys area. They dont have anything.....so off to Amazon I go.....

This review is for Ana Chio who is one of the many amazing Home Depot staff members. Ana Chio has always been a nice and professional cashier for the many years I have gone to this Home Depot location. On January 11th I had a return for which I received a hundred dollar bill. When I emptied my pockets in the evening I noticed that I was hundred dollars short. The next day I went to Home Depot with the false hope that somebody might have returned my lost $100 bill. I went back to Ana and explained her my situation. Ana asked me what time I was there, double checked their videos, asked me more questions and confirmed those and sure enough the $100 over in her cash register was mine. Weekend projects mean multiple trips to multiple home depots. This Home Depot is clean and less crowded than the Home Depot in North Hollywood on Sherman Way. There were also more BBQs outside and they were demonstrating one - grilling up some meats for people. I was able to get in and in 15 minutes - they had multiple checkstands open. Its harder to see the store from Van Nuys Blvd.

They have self check out cash register. That you cant use . They have a cashier attending the self check out during a pandemic . I understand you should be home . But whats the point in Self check out if you cant use it .another problem is if your trying to use your phone as a form of payment the software they purchased for that doesnt even work been to same one numerous times and issues have not been fixed.and to to mention how long the lines are and compare it to the registers they have available . I guess this is the stores way of keeping g there parking lots looking full making them look busy who knows.

Good selection but the mobile app usage in store does not lead you to any of the correct isles where the products are supposed to be located. I ended up walking around this store asking several associates for items because the isle locations was wrong on 8 of the 9 items.

Disappointed! I been shopping every week at the Van Nuys Home Depot and I was glad they were following state recommendations in regards to covid-19. But today they were not limiting the number of people going inside and they were not sanitizing the carts. They didn’t even have any hand sanitizer or wipes by the entrance. I won’t shop at this store again!

I guess now that OSH is closing, those of us who live around the 101 and 405 interchange are going to have to go to a Home Depot these days. It was nice to have Orchard so you can walk around and somebody would actually come up to ask you if you needed help instead of you having to go find somebody in an orange apron who might or might not be able to help you.

Scott and Jessica in the paint department are ridiculously accommodating to the changes I needed to a Glidden color.My second time choosing paint for an entire room, and it had been a few years since I had previously chosen colors. Jessica mixed the paint to swatch perfection on the first try, and when I applied the color to the walls, I absolutely hated it.I took back the paint to see if there was anything that could be done to mix to a more appealing color. Both Jessica and Scott were dedicated to matching the new color I had requested (or at least closer to that color) and created a color I was even more pleased with than any of the swatches in the store! They even had helpful tips like mixing both cans incase of any discrepancy in color or texture, sanding out blotches with the right grade of sand paper, and walking my order to the register to ensure no confusion upon checkout.You guys rock. Thanks again!

I just dont get it how can such a big corporation, place where people can get any supplies to build a house from a sketch rans out of boric acid and know at the end of a long work day I have to rush another location and pray people out there being responsible enough to restock smh!
