You can tell the store is well-managed, and the culture and philosophy developed by the founders of The Home Depot, is instilled in every associate.The store manager, Fausto has created a culture of Customer Service and customer engagement.The Store is clean and neat. I recently had a poor shopping experience at this Home Depot location, and I suspect that other Home Depot stores in the area may have similar issues with their operations. During my visit, I was looking to purchase a door lock but found that a lot of the items, including tools, batteries, and hardware, were locked up. Unfortunately, there was only one associate working in the hardware department, so I had to wait for assistance behind three other customers. Once the item was unlocked, I had to wait for the associate to walk it to the cashier with me before I could make the purchase. Overall, the process was inefficient, and I hope the store can address this issue and improve their operations in the future.

7/1/23 - 1030am - Signal Hill Home Depot - kids workshop so much better. Plenty of projects for families, much more room and a lot more organized, there’s canopies for everyone no long lines at entrance or getting paint because paint is a separate station then building, all the paint brushes and supplies is laid out, there’s a cleaning station with great hand wipes, there’s free flavored snow cones and raffles for free prizes and toys. Recently had a poor shopping experience at thisHome Depot location on Signal Hills,and I suspect that other Home Depot stores in the area may have similar issues with their operations. I order a material for my project by email, next day I receive a confirmation email knowing me that the material is read to pick up, I have 3 hrs. Waiting and nothing, guys are super lazy and just walking and talking, Overall, the process was inefficient, and I hope the store can address this issue and improve their operations in the future.Just lazy people is all.

Ive worked Reset Projects all over Home Depots in California and most these Stores hire employees w no experience. In-store experience is adequate as youd expect but dont order any large item with express delivery from this location. They will miss every delivery window and leave you waiting without any notification. Never mind that I paid more for a 2 hour delivery window instead of a 4 hour delivery window. Never mind that I chose the first time slot of the day as to not be delayed by other orders. Never mind that I literally live 3 minutes walking distance from this location.

I’d give this place 1 star, but the man who helped me in the lumber department was very helpful and acknowledged me as a customer who needed help. I frequent this location and without fail the customer service is lacking. Today I had to leave the register to carry out my own price check due to cashier not being able to look up my item. Instead of calling someone to do a price check she told me I had to go take a photo of the item’s SKU. I’ve worked in several customer service positions and have never made the customer carry out their own price check. Perhaps this was just another run in with a lazy employee with poor work ethic? Let me end on acknowledging the helplessness of the folks in the lumber department again.

Very professional and great selection. They are solid with their return policy and Ive ordered some things online for pickup at the desk without any hiccups.I like that the parking lot has some entrepreneurs who have trash hauling trucks you can hire and some sell some tacos and tamales.Its a cool culture and it feels like your neighborhood place to get things done for your house or property. There is a good outdoor section and plants and things for the yard.

The worst online service and customer service available. The ridiculous part of it all is that when the prices are different on the website from the actual store. They cant seem to price match themselves, and the excuse is it must be purchased online?? Well if thats the case being my purchase was that of paint (copper kiss). So I purchase it online and the pathetic part of it all is that my order wont be ready until almost a month, supposedly its going to be shipped to the store, when the majority of custom paint is made in the store and they dont even give me a location where my paint is being shipped from. On top of that falsifying the store hours of this particular location upon the confirmation of my purchase. Price matching and purchasing paint was never this complicated, especially from a prestigious company like this.

Really bad experience with Home Depot. Bought $2k washer and dryer combo. Paid for installation, but Home Depot did not install the unit. Had to install them by myself, then found out the unit is defective. Called Home Depot to complain about the product and tried to return them, but they refused bc of their 48 HOUR RETURN POLICY. I guess the days of the helpful associates in home Depot are long gone. I bought 5 gallon pellet paint silicone and a couple of other items that I still need it but didnt get because it felt like I was forcing them to work.Maybe they were just having an off day. This is my go to store I like it much better than the one on spring. If I ever need anything or have a question I go find Lisa she will always help me, she’s very knowledgeable and polite. One day I was working on a project and had no idea what I needed and Javier and Mark gave me ideas from a man’s perspective and it worked I didn’t know where to start. This store is the absolute worst! The staff runs from you and when you finally do get someone to help they are annoyed. Even the store manager is not helpful. He has an air of superiority and he is the only person the staff treats with respect. The customers are treated poorly and if you need help expect to be there forever only to be given poor service. Home Depot usually has high standards in customer care but clearly no one is assuring quality at this store. The other day they made my husband cut his own lumber. I won’t be back to this location, I would rather travel out of my way.

Try the Home Depot on 751 E Spring St instead; you may get better service.They dont do Curbside Pickup (forget what the website and store app says). Checked-in when in Curbside parking spot; called stores phone after a long wait and no one came out. No one answered.Finally decided to walk-in to pickup order at customer service desk. Five employees; one was helping customers while the other four were just hanging out. So I waited in line as the employee that was the only one working at least was polite and acknowledged me as he was busy helping another customer.Icing on the cake was another employee pushing a cart and almost colliding into me as if I was invisible to her (she seemed upset). Any doubt about the service at this store was answered when the manager almost bump into me as he walked by (if I hadnt gotten out of the way he would have).My only other regret beside placing a curbside pick up at this store location was not getting the name of the employee that actually helped me so I can send a compliment and let corporate office know. Perhaps this employee could turn this store around if offered an opportunity in a management position.But until then ... unless you know what youre buying, which aisle to find it yourself, and use the self-checkout line and pay with a card, try the other Home Depot a few miles down on 751 E Spring St. Their curbside pickup wait may be slow, but at least they show up. Overall shopping experience seems better too (if not perfect) if I recall my last visit there correctly.

This location is also close to an in-n-out which is super convenient when you have been working on the house all day! :)

Alex from front and Mark from garden were so helpful! We went in to buy a garden shed and were greeted by Alex who not only helped us find the 4x8 3/4 inch plywood needed for the shed, but also rang us up and helped us get a cart for that! Then Mark helped us load the shed into the back of my truck! This is the best service I have ever had in all my years coming to Home Depot! Thank you guys, your management team should recognize you!

Good inventory of building supplies plus all kinds of fresh fruit, vegetables and sometimes even seafood cocktails sold by permanent vendors parked in old vans in choicest parking spots. Usually next to disabled sports up front. Stuff must be getting kickbacks for letting them park there all the time. To my knowledge no other Home Depot offers such a bazaar at they parking lot. Like traweling south of the border without living town.

TRUST THE REVIEWS! They WILL mess up your order. I ordered something for our remodel, and it shopped in 3 separate boxes. I was warned they will call me when only 1 arrived, and to make sure all 3 arrive. 3 weeks later they called when only 1 arrived. 2 days later the app said everything arrived so I called. I explained to them why I wanted them to be POSITIVE all 3 pieces were there. I sat on hold for 15 minutes while they went to the back and confirmed all 3 pieces are here. They even mentioned what each piece was to confirm.I showed up 3 days later, they cant find the 3rd piece thats the most important. They told me I can wait 3 days while they escalate to the manufacturer, but no idea what theyll say after their investigation. My other option is to cancel and order again, waiting 3-4 weeks for delivery. My contractor was supposed to finish our bathroom remodel tomorrow. Now we will have to go another 3-4 weeks without our shower (only one in our house) and pay the contractor to come out again in a few weeks IF the parts ever show up. At the end the Mgr said she could ask the company that makes the products for a discount...once it arrives.So now weve had to pay 2x the price (have to wait for processing to get refund), we will have to wait almost 2 months, and theyll ask for some discount, even though Home Depot is clearly the one who lost it. Trying to find an alternative so we can cancel everything, but our remodel literally was built out based on the measurements of this, so unless we want to remodel all the newly remodeled stuff, we are SOL and have to just hope Home Depot doesnt screw up again.

Damaged my car. Scratched interior and ripped the leather on the headrest. Insist on communicating in person about damage. (1 hour total drive time plus who knows how much actual face-to-face time. Possibly 2 hours total out of a work day.) I live 1 hour away so that’s another two hours in the day wasted. That leaves me with only 4 hours to work on a demolished house. Won’t accept photos. I don’t have time to go in to talk to a manager because I am juggling an infant, and home reno, and a deadline.

This location was my favorite home depot until a couple of employees this week just completely made me feel like I should look for a better place.Last week I bought a 4X2. I asked the employee to cut four 10 pieces. When I got home that none of pieces matched 10. All of them were different sizes.I went back this week to asked if someone could recut the pieces so at least they could match. There was a tall older white man greeting customers so I approached him and asked for help. I explained what had happened to him, and his reply was, We are not professionals here to cut wood so you can work on your projects.I couldnt believe what was happening, his rudeness was uncalled for. I wasnt shocked, because usually Home Depot customer service shouldnt be called customer service.I just walked away from him, it was pointless to try to interact with this individual.A couple of days later I went back to buy an extension cord plug replacement. I asked one of the employees for help. A young guy told me that he was in charge of the electrical department, but that he wasnt trained to help me with information regarding the different kinds of plugs. He didnt even try to help me nor did he look for anyone else for assistance.Completely useless associate.I just decided that from now on I am going to Lowes. I might pay a bit more, but I at least get better service and I dont have to keep wasting time with inept personnel at home depot.I wouldnt recommend this place to anybody.

I found the two planners that I had been looking for it to put flowers on my balcony and I was very pleased with the price. I checked it out online and it was $8 more so I decided to go directly to Home Depot. To my surprise they had them but a lot less. Thank You Home Depot and also very good when I asked him about plant food and anti-shock food for plants when you transplanting young plants. He was able to leave me to the products I could use. Super lazy morning staff.I know they had my item in stock, I was shown at another location at 610am, that they had 15. I showed up at 630am, employee scanned the empty shelf barcode, briefly looked around at the top stock and told me they were out. Either someone bought all 15 in the 15minutes it took me to get there, theyre system lied, or the employee didnt want to put in effort. Im leaning towards the latter.I left because I didnt want to deal with it.Atlantic is close by, just go to that location.

This place has almost everything I need for home improvement and repairs. The staff members are courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. I visit this Home Depot the most because the staff is the best. One guy in particular I believe his name was Monty and a lady named Carmen were really nice the guy that made my key made two that worked and one that did not but he wasnt rude or anything Monty went out of his way to help me even though it wasnt his department. Purchased a washer and dryer 7/28. No 2-day delivery as promised. They were finally delivered 8/10 but the washer was defective and leaked. Delivery rescheduled for 8/15. 8/13 received a message that the delivery was again delayed and would be given a new date withing 24/48 hours. Just far enough away from the interstate and also the last Home Depot southbound on Cherry Ave, on the last rise before the downhill to the ocean. I go into Home depot to have some scrap wood cut, Christian the employee thats suppose to be helping me, cuts one wood then tells me give him a second while he cuts someone else wood and hell finish my other cuts. He then cuts 3 more customers wood. While Im waiting patiently I then ask can I please be next so I can go. He then tells me that the cut will be 50 cents now. The other cuts I needed next were of the same size wood. I was sent to it by the employees at the Home Depot in Lakewood because the one in signal hill was the only one that had 4x8x1/2 hardibacker. 2 employees, my co-worker and I all tried to call to see if they could confirm they had it in stock. After trying for over 10 minutes in almost every department, we gave up. Nobody in the store would pick up the phone, to customers and other stores alike. We risked the 3 something miles over. They had it. Checkout was extremely slow and the employees had a very bad attitude about working there. Worst customer service, not once but twice I have tried to get help and the employees just walked away. I am going to go back and get these employees names and report it to the main corporate office. If you cant do your job than dont work in customer service.
