Just a shout out to Mark in plumbing. He was helping me, walking down the isle, and we passed a lady who he asked if she needed any help. Nothing big right? Well, in all my times in Home Depot, this is the first where an employee approached a customer, and not vice versa.

Way less people and this is by far the best, most organized Home Depot I been to so far. Since this Home Depot location is literally across the street from my work office, I put in my order for in-store pickup here. I also had to get a bag for my Rigid vacuum so I went inside the store to get my vacuum bag first. There was no one at the self checkout line so I was able to go straight to the register. After I paid for my vacuum bag, I went to the Customer Service area to pick up my order. At first I was confused because they really didnt tape out where you line up. But since they werent busy, someone saw me and help me. There many parking here because its in a plaza so you wont have any issues here. I saw only 3 curbside pickup spots next to the store so I dont know if there more spots.

If i could rate zero i would. My mom bought a washer. Waited at least 2 weeks for it. Her decision was not quick and easy. She wanted to make sure she found the best appliance for her to use. Home depot has a 48 hr time frame for the customer to use the appliance and availability to return the product. My mom didnt use the washer. My mom is 85 and didnt see in the instructions where to put the liquid detergent and liquid fabric softener. This washer does not have the agitator in the middle of the tub. The instructions say to put directly in the tub. Most of us know that doing that will most likely stain and damage your clothes. Bottom line, home depot would not take back the washer even though my mom didnt use it, yes it was beyond the 48 hr time frame. The customer rep i talked to from the 800 number believed the store would take it back, maybe requiring a restocking fee. No customer satisfaction here at the simi store. My mom paid close to $1000 for that appliance just to be stuck with something she doesnt like.

My favorite thing about this Home Depot location is the trees in the parking lot that provide shade for your car. Easy to find a parking space, colorful garden section with shade cloth so the flowers arent burned by our harsh summer sun, choice of several seed company choices on racks.

We placed an order for 2 appliances on 1 NOV. We set the delivery date and took the day off work to receive the order. The order was then cancelled suddenly. We lost that day of work. We reordered the order and lost our original shipping date, and couldnt get our 200$ gift card refunded that we used on the order. Days later we find out weve been charged for both orders, and upon talking to customer service, they say we wont be refunded the first order for possibly 3 weeks. So our 5500$ is being held hostage. We have been very patient but something needs to be done about this. We cannot go 3 weeks without this money. And there have been too many errors on Home Depots half for this to be ok. We are very frustrated and disappointed. Given what has occurred we are nervous to purchase large items again. As it seems our money will be held hostage pending any errors.

WENT TO WALMART IN THE SAME CENTER AND GOT A FRESH 6 DOUGLAS FIR FOR THE SAME PRICE!!! $30 for a 3ft tree at Home Depot?! Over half the lot are unsold trees with old hard needles, the place is a fire hazard, Manager claims he got them yesterday and was rude, defensive and dismissive when I brought this to his attention. The young man packing the trees however stopped me as I was leaving and tried to help find another solution but unfortunately had no power to make any changes.

I needed to return brand new never opened extension cords (helper bought the wrong ones) and because I didn’t have the receipt in hand wouldn’t do it. Not even give me store credit. I was visually upset and they had the nerve to try and sell me a credit card. Lowes is less then a mile away. You can guess where I shop now.

Great store with good prices, knowledgeable staff, and a very wide selection of products.One of the best parts of the store it is that if you have a project to do but youre not quite sure how to do it, many of the floor staff at home depot are excellent at describing solutions and helping you find what you need. All you gotta do is ask.. often times one staff member will find you another staff, and say yeah theyre our expert on that subject as they hand you off.Nothing in the world beats free unbiased expert advice.My only knock on this place is the parking lot. There is a road that goes all the way around the building and passes right in front of the entrances. Home Depot often places featured items ( like grills in the summertime) right in front of the store also. Also some large delivery trucks stop and unload there. There is no traffic control and on busy days its a little chaotic and even potentially unsafe right in front of the store.All-in-all i go here for almost all my homeware and hardware needs.

This was the best Home Depot I have ever been to. A gentleman named Foad asked if he could help me as I was looking for storage bins. I told him I really needed a great price for my project. Foad helped me find the best price Home Depot could offer. What he didn’t know was that I need to do some quick moving and organizing for a family member that fell ill. It was a huge help. Staff has always been friendly and helpful here but tonight we had an exceptionally wonderful experience with one of the employees. James B. helped us at the Customer Service Desk and he went above and beyond, spending 20 plus minutes to fix the issue we had. It took me 1.5 hours to get a piece of play wood cut. The plywood would was over top and the day before could t find, assistant manage says inventory off we do t have it(qty41). I ended up finding it but there was only one person working with a fork lift license and they were at lunch. I came back the next day and it took over an hour to get the wood down and cut. The store fills on organized books and organized and doesn’t seem like everyone knows how to do their job well. Lowe’s in Simi Valley is so much better.

When you think you’ve experienced the worst service ever, there is an old saying that goes, “You can’t complain about the service here, there isn’t any.” Well, as it turns out, Home Depot has figured out how to have worse service than none. No one seems to know where anything is. We were given wrong directions to “help” us find items, four times in a row. Each “helper” had to be tracked down by walking the store for 5 to 10 to try and find an employee (most were just standing around at the front of the store chatting away. They were out of half the things we went to buy, and they had NO checkers. The automated check stand also failed, but luckily, it only took 5 minutes or so to find an associate that could resolve so we could FINALLY leave and go somewhere else to buy our goods. This store should just be closed until they have staff, and those staff are trained.

I was looking for a product in their website, and it said the product was in limited stock at this location. Online purchase was not available so only way to buy the product was either to drive there quickly to buy it but this shop is more than 20 miles from my home so I had to request hold until I drive there to make sure the product available until I get there.I called their customer support but a woman was telling me why I could not purchase online underlying that I didnt know something about how to get their stuff online. I didnt argue but instead I asked politely if she would be able to hold the product. She said they normally dont do that, but she allowed to hold it, so I was able to get it later of the day.When I got there, their customer support area was holding my product, but the staff told me that I needed to move the product to other checkout area to pay for it. The product was heavy and I had to move it with my daughter. I have not seen any customer support that is not able to process the payment. Anyway, checking out and moving it to my car finally, I saw a post-it note on the box that read customer has trouble online purchase ??!! This is an unprofessional remark. They should know better how their website work and how better they listen to what customer was concerned at.The reason why I still give three stars is they were eventually able to hold the product but their quality of customer service, understanding how their online logistics works, and communication with customers need much improvement.

This is a great place to get whatever hardware and home supplies you need. The customer service is outstanding, and most of the people workjng there are very helpful and friendly. It’s conveniently located near the freeway. They you have a good hours. The prices are competitive. A really cool thing they provide customers is DIY classes. You can find them online. They’ve also help me find local electricians for jobs I needed to get done at home. Very satisfied with them. Highly recommend.

Im at this location several times every week & can usually find what I need. The staff is friendly & helpful. Prices are comparable to other places.My biggest consistent complaint is products in the parking lot & outside walkways. People are forced to walk in traffic lanes because walkways are being used for BBQs, manure bags, plants, etc. This is extremely unsafe & probably against multiple city codes. It needs to stop because Ive watched drivers come very close to hitting pedestrians & at times these items make it difficult to park in the pro parking spaces. Also, employees need to tell people to park in actual parking spaces not imaginary spaces & not let people pull up & block the big door as if theyre the only customer needing to load their vehicle. This is not only an additional safety issue but also a courtesy issue which needs to be handled.

We walked into Home Depot today to get help with a whole remodel of our kitchen. We were first greeted by a representative who was upbeat and welcoming. She directed us to the kitchen department. We had the opportunity to sit down with Robert in the kitchen design department. We weren’t planning on changing the design too much since our kitchen is small and we didn’t think there were many options. He took the time to provide a new design that better suits our needs and gave us options we would have never considered. He was we professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I work in a customer service industry and I can definitely say that Robert went above and beyond to accommodate my family and I and help us bring our vision to life.

When you buy from home depot, make sure the wood is the right size, the label and the wood is not match, after cutting is too late to return. I brought the wood the label said 1x8x12, but got home and check the wood is .75x7.25x12. I would be carefull next time. The label is not up to date, I saw 8 of them the same, so can not be misplaced. They will take it back, next time I go to LOWs

What can you say about Home Depot, its always busy, you can never find anyone to help you and when your large item special order arrives and on line it says they will call you ...they dont. The last three months I had five special order items arrive and never got an email or a phone call on any of them. I checked my status online and each time saw the item has been sitting there for two weeks ahead of delivery target date. This however is not exclusive to this location.

Now the rules have changed. They will only refund your credit card. I didnt have the card that I had used to make the original purchase so they didnt want to give me a refund. The young man behind the counter was rude and finally slammed the money into my hand.Customer service at this Home Depot is terrible. As a contractor, I spend 10s of thousands at Home Depot each year yet Im treated with distain.

My husband and I came into the store to purchase items for a job. We noticed the only change registers open, aside from the pro service check out, was the self checkout. We approach the one station and start to ask the check out attendant for a moment of help. She interrupted us rudely saying that she is helping someone else and turned her back on us. So, we went to stand in the line at check stand 2, and the lady at that register was just as rude. She looked up and told everyone that she is closed and continued to finish her current order. We then ended up at the pro check out where Sheryl was great. She was accurate and efficient. She was much more pleasant then the first two attempts to check out. Sheryl should receive some sort of special recognition for being the example of what an employee should be. I didnt know customers were such a bother to a companies employees. Do companies give annual reviews any more? If not, they should. Maybe their employees attitudes with customers would change.

I like to come here for all my cleaning and house repairs needs but I went a Wednesday morning and it was busy so busy!! 😲😲 I felt bad for the few workers that were present, they looked busy, tired a little overwhelmed,They needed more help. Lack of customer acknowledgement at the pro desk. There was a Home Depot employee working on a little project behind the desk and wasnt really aware that there was a customer waiting to spend the few hundred dollars with a phone sale. Waited patiently with my cart full of lumber and electrical conduit as he continued to work on his project. Another customer walked up after about 5 to 7 minutes and that employee attended that customer quickly and was able to call someone over the intercom to help that customer immediately. I then was able to go ahead and continue my phone sale with the lady taking care of the pro desk sales. I left disappointed with my experience there.

The visit was great. Got the paint chips for my home, the crew helped since the original chips were not labeled the same names as last year, injury kept me from doing the job last year. Crew also explained about color matching so the would be the same as the porch and stairs. Wonderful crew that is always helpful and try hard to find what is necessary when I dont have a clue of what I am doing.

We waited for a long long line to check out passing through the Customer service Desk and finally gave up. One employee I stopped to ask for help said, you must think I work in the curbside parking lot To which I promptly replied, judging on the orange apron you work for Home Depot, can you help us or not? I bought a refrigerator from home depot and they offered free delivery and free installation IF I bought a new water line kit. So I purchased the kit. A week later they deliver the fridge. Guy looks at my copper water line and says we cant touch it, hands me the kit and says I can return it. So they dropped off the refrigerator and left. Didnt unpack, didnt put it in place, didnt plug it in, didnt explain how to set up the water filter or anything. Luckily I know how to install a supply line and make sure it doesnt leak. Be prepared to call a plumber if you dont know how as they do NOT install.

Being a first time home owner I went here alot over the past 6 months from appliances, lighting, flooring and everything in between. However when I ordered my fridge from here it was an absolute NIGHTMARE to work with the 3rd party company they used. These people straight up lied to me about even having my fridge for over a month and had multiple deliver dates canceled with no excuse or just lied about something. This home depot knew about having issues with this company but still used them. To say the least I was furious. However the saving grace of this company is their manager Abigail Barajas. Not only is everyone in the store well trained because of her but the way she is such a delight to talk with made this entire experience better. She helped me cancel my order, file a complaint against this company and get me a refund. Everything I asked for and more with a smile on her face. Abigail is an incredibly wonderful person, highly professional and to be honest this review is for her and how well she runs this store. Very disappointed in our experience here. Buyer beware of you purchase an appliance here you will basically have to keep it unless its damaged or defective, even if brand new which is asinine.Every other store you go to has a regular return policy for appliances but we had to fight tooth and nail to return a stovetop that was delivered two days prior, not installed despite us paying for it, and was left on our doorstep with no delivery confirmation or signature required.Not just that but in store we were treated in a condescending manner by the appliance return associate, Joyce, and was very Kurt and treated my spouse like a child when it came to the return.Moral of the story stick to Lowes or any other hardware store for major purchases. Or risk being stuck with an appliance you cant use or return on the event something doesnt go as planned.

Went in and bought 10 cellular blinds, I provided the measurements. Got home and NONE (0) of them fitted (too wide). I went in again to get them fixed to another Home Depot that was in my way, to my surprise they couldn’t do it, they don’t sell that exact model there. So I went banco to the original one in Simi Valley to get the fixed, walked out and got home to try them out.... now 2 did not fit!!! Went back in today for the 4th time!!! Haven’t tried the yet! These guys just don’t know how to measure or know the product (they think they know it all by their attitude)!

Cant just single out this particular Home Depot since theyre pretty much all the same but this place is irritating. Just getting through the parking lot will start your day off bad. Being a general contractor many times I have to pick up large loads of lumber. They provide a covered area right outside of the large loading doors for trucks to park. Problem is most of the spots are taken up by BMWs or Mini-vans. Park further out, not the end of the world. Inside its difficult to find an employee in a department you need help in. Finally ready to check out. Looks like everybody else is too. The 1 cashier at the pro check out looks worried. I will say that they easily carry far more items for professionals and homeowners than Lowes.

This is just your typical Home Hardware/Tools/ Garden/ lumber store and this store is actually huge with lots of inventory to choose from. Its so large it can be a little overwhelming if you dont have any clue where stuff is or if youve never been there before. If you can find a worker thats always a good idea for help, and usually the workers at Home Depot are easy to spot wearing their bright orange aprons.

Kept calling back and I get different answers like, it has been picked-up, It has not arrived, This was not a special order, its an In -store item that you purchased and checked out. After waitng for 3 weeks, I decided to go to the store. Well, the sales rep did not special order it and did the transaction as In-Store item, PAID and picked -up. The store is clean and organized well. If you know what you want and dont need any help finding it, this is the place for you. If you need customer service, see if you can find it online or on YouTube before coming in. Because I have yet to find employees who are willing to help while Im in here. Dont get me wrong, there are people walking around, but they arent inclined to help. Especially, especially in the kitchen area. The place where youd think theyd be most willing to help given how expensive everything over there is. When I arrived there, THREE workers were sitting at a computer gossiping. I approached to ask a question and one lady rolled her eyes and said you can take samples of whatever you want. When I turned back a few minutes later to ask for some help with counter tops, they all looked at each other and heaved a heavy sigh like nobody wanted to help me. Finally, they let the poor woman whod lost her voice be the one to help me. While the other two kept gossiping around the computer. I was informed that all the samples I collected werent in stock and they no longer carried those. (Why couldnt the first woman have told me that?) The whole experience made my husband and I walk out and look elsewhere for kitchen counters.

I have yet to ever have even heard of the incredibly repetitive failures that this store has had in regards to my last several orders and purchases. No one could answer why this store transferred to that other store. It was a disaster.A few weeks later, I was back at this Simi Valley store to order some special order doors. I ordered them in the beginning of July. Thus far, my due dates have been 8/1/18, then 8/8/18, then 8/22/18, then 9/6/18, and today (the last due date) they said it would be 9/14/18. They dont respond to any emails, and Im now in the process of filing a complaint with a few consumer protection agencies in CA.It kills me to write this review. 85% of the employees are absolutely terrific. Now, the doors arent exactly the fault of this store, per se. However, in a month of asking for some form of answer, they havent bothered to even acknowledge me. Finally, after emailing corporate (who ccd me on their emails), the store responded to corporate saying its not their fault and let the customer (me) know when they arrive.Again, the delay isnt the stores fault, but the terrible attitude is.

But the cherry on top for me is the app. It literally tells you not only what aisle to find the item but what bay within the aisle (a 10-12 ft. area of shelfing). DELIVERY PROCESS NEEDS REVAMPINGI was supposed to have a refrigerator delivered last Tuesday. I called around noon to report that I had not received any notification about the delivery. I called and spoke to a different person who told me there was a glitch in the system and my refrigerator was supposed to be on the box truck but that did not happen. Late in the evening a nice man called and told me it was supposed to have been delivered last week, but something happened. He didnt know what happened,, but he would try to locate my refrigerator and get it on the truck for the following day. He suggested I call back in the morning.I just called, at 9:30AM. I was told THERE IS NO WAY TO KNOW IF MY REFRIGERATOR IS GOING TO BE DELIVERED TODAY. Apparently a box truck comes whenever it feels like, takes some delivery items and leaves. NO ONE IN THE STORE KNOWS WHAT IS ON THE TRUCK.This is beyond ridiculous. Im supposed to spend another day waiting for an item that may or may not be delivered and NO ONE AT HOME DEPOT CAN TELL ME. BTW, the delivery window is 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM.Cmon---- you should be better than this!!UPDATEA male called me to verify my address for delivery. He told me that they would not bring the refrigerator into the house. I told them Home Depot had said that the refrigerator would be brought over the threshold into the first room. He asked if there were stairs. I told him two steps as I was on a raised foundation.When they arrived, he told me they would leave the refrigerator at the bottom of my front porch steps. I told them Home Depot said they would bring it inside.He told me that he didnt work for Home Depot and that Home Depot shouldnt tell people we are going to do things we arent going to do. He said they couldnt bring it up the two steps because the dolley was broken. I said, you should have a dolley that works.He replied, We should but we dont, in a really snarky tone. I had a guy at my house doing some painting. He got his hammer and helped them repair their dolley. They literally crossed the threshold then took the refrigerator off the dolley. I think they only put it back on the dolley and moved it further into the house when they realized they had blocked their exit.To top it off, the refrigerator had 3 dents and a huge scratch. I was pleased with the original price but its not worth the aggravation. I am returning the dang refrigerator. Ugh.I kind of like Home Depot--- I have spent a ton of money I the last few weeks. I booked an appointment with the Home Depot Window Replacement consultant and a guy named Tim showed up, after taking all the measurements for the 17 windows and the patio door he quoted me $20,048.50 for the Milgrad Tuscany Windows and then proceeded to give me big discount of $1002.42 on the whole invoice (total price $19046.07). Convenient if your familiar with the store id recommend self checkout the cashiers are rude and dont get wood that isnt accurately the size you need unless you plan to cut it yourself because precise measurements arent cut here is what the staff will say when you need anything around 1/8 off cut offThats Awesome🤔

Some of the rudest employers Ive encountered.Standing in line at a register behind 2 other people and the cashier just leaves... No replacement, no comment, nothing.Just leaves 3 customers standing there wanting to buy product.

Service was horrible. Three customers waiting for materials for over an hour talking with assistant manager an employee disregarding his manager. Way understaffed with employees with no knowledge of how to get you what you need.Waiting for forklift driver with plenty of forklifts just sitting in the aisle.

Customer service absolutely horrible!! Went into the store two hours before they closed for mini blinds. Not busy at all, way more employees than customers in the store. 15 employees walked by in a 5 min period and not one to help out, two sitting down at a counter talking to each other about the holidays looking right at me didnt even care as if I was not there!

Harry in the Electrical Department warrants 6 stars if that were possible. He helped my wife and I repair a broken switch on a table lamp that someone else had told us would cost $70 to repair. You dont get customer service like that many places anymore. Thanks Harry!!!!!
