Hands down the best hamburger I have had! The Santa Barbara is my addiction. Between the incredibly fresh beef and the grilled sourdough bread is feast worth the cost. We have sworn off fast food in California because of the cost in relation to what you get, but The Habit Grill is our exception. We wont be eating there a lot but it is a worthwhile guilty pleasure when we need to feel worthy of our hard labor.

First off, phenomenal food and atmosphere. One of the best burgers Ive ever had. But what I appreciate the most at this place is the service. If I had the chance I would give it a 6 star. Every worker there was extremely mannerly and approachable but there was a certain worker who went above and beyond for me and my group. He brought a drink to one of my friends and was patient and considerate with me when I asked a question about my order. Wish I got his name but I hope he knows how good of a person he is.

This is just you average hamburger 🍔 stop with a price tag a little higher than normal. The burger with pineapple is good but lacked a teriyaki sauce, if it was there it was unnoticeable. Onion rings are over priced. The salads are good. The outdoor seating is great and supports a group of 8. I would still just opt to go to smash burger across the street. More options better food.I went here again and the service was topnotch. I added another star. And the tropical ice tea is awesome. No sugar added just 100% fruit juices 🥤

Really food chicken club sandwiches, great tasting milkshakes. My sandwich was prepared wrong. When I went up to get it corrected, there was a line of people waiting to get their incorrect orders fixed, too. So it took a while to get my correct order. My receipt had it listed correctly, the cooks just didnt read it.

Do not use this restaurant if you intent to use their app to have food delivered. Paid through the habit app and the food was supposed to be on its way, but it got canceled midway. I tried to call the customer service who said they were third-party weren’t able Or unwilling to help. The restaurant does not have a phone number to contact so I drove to the restaurant and the order was on the counter. I don’t know what’s going on. I tried to have them refund and they had extreme difficulties. Food is subpar And the habit customer service is horrible. There are plenty of restaurants in the area I would choose somewhere else.

Very disappointed w/ this location for two reasons: 1) Paid $4.95 for the fried tempura green beans (w/ a main order) to get just 6 small pieces (imagine you get 6 pieces of french fries when you order that) & they werent even hot; 2) They dont clean the tables well, so I had to clean the table myself (which was already cleaned by them) b/c there were small traces of food left. When I talked w/ the manager about the fried beans & cleanliness, she didnt say a word, offer to correct that (the beans), or even show that she cared!!

Unfortunately, the commercials do not even come close to the Citrus Heights store that is so subpar I wanted to ask for my money back. First of all, the place was filthy dirty, and the six staff that were behind the counter were talking and having a good time, but they weren’t wiping down tables, that’s for sure. When we Received the text message that our food was ready. It was cold, the meat was way overcooked. And it was less than any burger I’ve had in a long time. The place was filthy, and the staff didn’t care.. This store needs a manager.

Had an amazing time here. The burger was nearly perfect and i say nearly as size of the burger was a bit smaller than what I would have thought it would be.Loved the onion rings and the spicy beans which is a delicacy. Will surely visit again

Last night we went to habit burger. The cashier Sam, very amazing, I watched him help 3 customers before helping me, he was always smiling and very thorough, and under pressure with lots of customers made sure everyone he helped was taken care of. You might go for their charburgers, but I go to the habit for their freshly-made salads. The Southwest BBQ chicken salad is one of my favorites. Its a delicious mixture of; chargrilled chicken, garden greens, fire roasted corn, bacon, pickled red onions, tomatoes, red cabbage, cilantro, feta cheese. Covered in barbecue sauce and served with a side of dressing. The cilantro lime ranch dressing has been discontinued, which is a major bummer. The corporation needs to bring back this yummy dressing. The best burger in the Citrus Heights Sunrise burger row. The ground beef is great but now they have so many other protean choices with the addition of Veggie Patty, Impossible Patty, Grilled Chicken and Ahi Tuna. The new Chicken Caprese sandwich is wonderful and my wife hopes it stays on menu. They have more than just great fries on the side. The Onion rings, Sweet potato fries, Tempura green beans are very good. Also covered heated outside seating for when you want to eat outside and listen to the sounds of traffic on a busy intersection.

Was turned on to this Habit burger from a gentleman we were going to see. This place is awesome! Wasnt really sure about the green beans. But they offered a 1/2 and 1/2 order. So we got 1/2 green beans-1/3 French fries. Loved the green beans. So we are going back today. The $ was right.( big thing now days. Please dont change $). I ordered a portabla burger. My partner ordered a teriyaki burger. We are going to try something totally new today.... 5 stars

I am very disappointed by my experience through the app. We ordered curbside-with allergies-we asked for a double burger without cheese. When I got it out after, it was a single burger with cheese plastered all over it. I was at a school event with my son and could not leave to render proof of this. When I attempt to call the location to have one remade for later, or to be refunded I am routed to a third party that cant do anything. Very distasteful. There should be an option to take a picture of the food with order number and send it in.

The food is great. Love the salad, too 😋. I also was very pleased with the strawberry shake yummy 😋 Parking is a little awkward, and the grub hub and other food pick-up services are right in front of the establishment, like aup Area. (Only 3 parking spaces). You have to walk through if you park facing the place. If you park off to the side, this is not an issue.

Total rip off and fraud to the public. Your double burger is not a double burger (*the double burger is not an extra This is how its supposed to be prepared This is how its on the menu) when you take the top of your bun or bread off. It looks like a double when you look at it straight on but youre not getting what youre paying for. I went there two different times on a matter of weeks so just look at the pictures theyre worth a thousand words of proof! Both orders were the same identical order.

Absolutely delicious. This was my first time here and I was dreading a wait (there was a long line) but it was actually pretty quick. I tried the garlic fries and I loved them (especially that they were somehow still crispy) and I would love to see those continue to be served, but with less garlic oil as some fries were quite saturated and garlicky.My girlfriend and I had the teriyaki burger and sweet potato fries, and the BBQ bacon burger with garlic fries respectively. I even enjoyed the teriyaki burger despite not really liking pineapple.

Fantastic burgers and not too expensive. Burger ingredients are fresh and the burgers themselves are constructed with care. The staff is nice and welcoming. Atmosphere is casual. Gets busy at peak times but not to the point of struggling to find seats. Patio seating is good but the proximity to the traffic on the main road can be a good or bad thing depending on what you want.

I have loved the Habit since discovering it in Santa Barbara (actually Goleta) in the 80s. Was very excited to see one open in Citrus Heights years ago. The Santa Barbara burger is the best, and sides are excellent, too, especially the Tempura Green Beans. Today we received excellent service from Sam, too. He handled a crazy rush with incredible skill and grace, never seeming even slightly flustered, remaining composed, efficient and polite throughout. Give this young man a raise! Hes a keeper!

Havent been to this location for a while and it wasnt super busy for lunchtime. My order was correct and looked good, but it seems to have lost a little something that was there before the pandemic. One little note is that I ordered a double cheeseburger and halfway through it I noticed that half of one of the patties was missing. So, I guess I got a 1 and a half instead of a 2 patty burger. Fries were good and the tropical tea was excellent as always. Might need a little bit more time to get things back to its original glory to when it first opened as I remembered how good it was.

This Habit location (Sunrise Blvd in Citrus Heights) was high quality until about mid-2019. Since then it has been poor. Most recently I received a completely different burger (cheaper) than the one I ordered and paid for. The service at this location is poor and the food quality has dropped. Both food and service were usually excellent, now both are always below average or poor. Other locations are usually at least good, give them a try.When I called and talked to an employee, no effort was made to compensate me for the mistake. I was directed to communicate the problem to them via their website. I called within an hour of the mistake.

My husband and I went to pick up an order that we had called in. They were very busy and still managed to treat us with kindness and wonderful hospitality. Our order came out at a good time. I’m pregnant and had just got done Christmas shopping and I was curious about a beverage they serve that I had never tasted. A employee named Hunter heard my conversation and went above and beyond to help us and tell us about the drink as well as let us taste it and Rosa was wonderful as well. She served us our order and made sure everything was there. Including sauces we needed. It was all around a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back soon!

I rarely rate to complain but here I am. Just ordered curbside pick up for a charburger with cheese, avocado, and bacon.Got home and there was pineapple on the burger. Luckily Im not allergic but someone else might not be so lucky. I called the Sunrise and Madison location (where I ordered); they apologized and offered to remake the order, but I am already home and feeling under the weather, so driving all the way back to their location was not an option. That was the only remedy they offered.This location regularly messes up my orders and has ridiculously long queue times. Save your money and get a burger somewhere else. This is the last time I order from here.*EDITI submitted a customer service ticket to the website immediately after my order was messed up. The owner has responded to this review asking that I fill that same form out. I still have not gotten any sort of actual response.

I ordered a veggie burger and it was very tasty. It was different than any Ive tried before. It was juicy and the consistency was sort of like a potato. The burger toppings were different. There was even cucumber❤️. I also got a side salad which was very crispy and the tomatoes were huge. We came here close to closing but they were very nice. Overall a good experience. Is it under new management? I have been coming here for years and have always loved the service and the food but lately things are falling apart. Tonight was the second time I ordered online for curbside pick up and they forgot to bring it out to me. I waited and waited and decided to go in as they did not appear to be too busy. My food should have been done at 6:50 and it was 7:08. Yep, there was my oder just sitting on the counter. I picked it up and brought it home. The cheeseburger was cold and soggy - the dog did not mind. The french fries were also cold and the dog did mind and not eat them -- sad day when a Great Dane snubs your food! I have eaten here many times and it has always been yummy. Unfortunately this time, within 30 minutes, I was dying from food poisoning. Im not sure what happened with my food in this visit. I was horribly sick for hours. Thankfully, after that I was tired from the getting it out of my system process but back to normal. I just paid $6.29 for a Double Char, which is unreasonable for this burger. Second, they have a topping on the burger, in which they changed the ingredients, and NOT for the better. Food is always simple, but flavorful and well-prepared. Selection of sauces and condiments and sauces is wonderful, and the service is super friendly and welcoming every time we visit. Twice, now, Ive had their staff member Elaine make my visit excellent and super warm/welcoming/hospitable.Ive tried the Caesar salad and classic charburger, both being very flavorful and a pretty reasonable portion for the cost. Onion rings and fries here are nothing to throw stones at either.In general, the quality of service, cost and recurrent food quality make the place worth visiting if youre local and want a bite.

If you want us to get our orders to/grub hub/curbside then making sure orders are accurate. Otherwise there is no reason to return.I returned to The Habit with the burger and explained what happened. Love this place anyway, but they have also quickly adapted during the pandemic, particularly without a drive thru, and have remained quick, friendly service and convenient offering delivery or pick up or curbside service. I once got into brief conversation at the counter with a young manager at this location who was really proud of his job and his service to the company was evident, so much so that it made a lasting impression on my out of town guests. Only draw back is its a little pricey. But then again, the quality of the food, the menu variety, and the professional staff, it honestly makes sense. Makes for a great treat when working from home or on a laid back weekend with friends.

My favorite would be the tuna burger with teriyaki sauce which I usually pair with frings (half fries half onion rings) because I can’t make up my mind on which one I want. Most weekends are pretty packed so be ready for a bit if a wait. Things usually move pretty fast so that’s nice. The staff are always super nice and really helpful. There is always someone cleaning and collecting trays while I’m there.

As someone that is allergic to onions i always order without them but they seem to have put extra onions instead. I live close to this Habit Burger and always drive past it so I finally decided to drop in.Their menu is fairly simple offering sandwiches, burgers and some salads. Interestingly, many of the salads had a significantly higher calorie count than the burgers! Weirdly, they have a limited cheese option which is also not displayed on the menu. You can choose between American, or Cheddar/Swiss combo.Ordering my basic habit burger (with cheese) was fairly quick and painless. The interior is small and they have additional seating outside with heaters to provide additional space.All in all a good, uncomplicated dining experience.I noticed that there were a lot of families with kids, so I would say this place is definitely family-friendly.

Ordered a number one and number two meal, which states you get a fry and drink with each meal, and she almost didn’t give us one of our drinks. I normally enjoy the Habit burgers food and decided to try curbside pickup. That was a very bad decision on my part. I ordered the $25 family deal which includes: four char burgers with cheese, 4 fries and a salad. I easily ordered online and headed to the restaurant. The burgers were a mess of shredded lettuce on hard over- grilled buns. I asked for extra pickles on 2 burgers and extra onions on the others. I find that three had extra pickles and the onion was hard to find in the mess of shreddded lettuce. I was completely baffled by the low quality, unappealing meal that we recieved. It was not up to the Habit burgers usual quality. If youre thinking of ordering food for curbside pick up, do yourself a favor and dont.

In short, The Habit has the most tasty, delicious hamburgers anywhere. Some places have really fancy hamburgers, all jazzed up with all manner of trimmings, but when it comes to a really good hamburger that tastes like it just came off the barbie, hot and delicious, we go to The Habit. When you call in a to go order, it goes to a third party who never gets the order right. Tonight only 1/2 my order went through to the restaurant and they refused to help. Done with them. Their computer was down so they didnt receive my online order. I had to place my order in the restaurant and they made my sandwich with the wrong sauce and the bun was falling apart.The sandwich pretty much fell apart. If their internet is down, they shouldnt allow online orders.

It was good. We were the o my ones in the restaurant (about 9:15pm Wed nite). I had a teriyaki char with Swiss cheese on grilled sourdough bread and a small drink and I could only eat half. My 11 & 12 year old both had a #1 with cheese, fries and a small drink. It did not fill up my 12 year old (who weighs all of 80 lbs). She wanted a second one but instead she ate about a 3rd of her sister. These two girls eat more than anyone Ive ever seen so its The Habits portions are large.

While our family loves their burgers, I find their Squak box very annoying. I live in the apartments near Sunrise/Madison Ave and right now cannot go outside on my apartment patio for peace, quiet and sunshine due to the constant announcements of party of four, party of two.... etc. Maybe they can figure out another way of people eating there but cannot stand the system they have now.

Even though this place is known for hamburgers, is my favorite place for salad. I love the garden salad with the Albacore ahi tuna steak and the side of the deep fried green beans.It stays busy most of the time and its a loud place.

Somewhat weird parking lot. Indoor and Outdoor seating. Burgers, Fries, Salads are all good. Personally I like the Teriyaki Burger myself. Ask for Teriyaki or Ranch on the side for your fries. Service is fast and friendly. Food takes a little bit of time as it is grilled to order. No WiFi. Sometimes busy with all the inside tables full.

This restaurant has homeless people loitering outside! When it was was brought up the manager she promptly informed us that he wasnt throwing trash outside!
