I contacted several Franchise companies and Dave-aka The Franchise Maker back in 2018 when I had the idea of Franchising my Battery Reconditioning and Recycling business. I can Honestly say The Franchise Maker was the only company the followed up with me and believed in my concept.Well in September 2020 after pitching The Sharks of ABC Shark Tank my company Battery Guyz I walked away not with a deal but better. We have been working with Dave for the last 12 months. We thought this process would have taken longer and before we knew it -we completed within 12 months. We received our FDD approved documents from Franchise attorney, and we are ready to launch our brand.Dave has been great to work with. I was very apprehensive about working with a company over the phone given the scope of franchising a business. I have been a police officer for 16 years and have been a detective for the past 5 of those years. I have seen my fair share of fraud, so skepticism/caution are always on my radar.I did interview another franchising company over the course of two zoom meetings and something did not sit right with me. Franchising always seemed like the scary way to expand our business, so instead we decided to expand via license agreements. After having some success, we found some limitations to licensing and decided to reopen the idea of franchising.
