As others mention the customer support people are trying their best to be nice but the actual logistics is horrible. They can’t tell you a delivery date they moved my pallet fromOne end of the state to the other for no reason. Stay away from this company.

This is hands down the most unreliable shipping company I have ever dealt with. The customer service reps are very nice and easy to get in contact with but the back end shipping department is horrible! My freight package has been sitting in the Santa Fe Springs warehouse for 2 weeks now and nobody knows what’s going on. Very disappointing!

Custom support is the only thing thats been a good deal, late packages, they never called to make an appointment. After rescheduling once, they had to make another reschedule. Not a good time.

Just wanted to give Customs a 5 star review, because they deserve that and so much more! I work with Ben for all my white glove deliveries and he comes through for me every single time no matter what!! My rep Roman Clark is awesome too! he does a great job always making sure we are taken care of ! They are truly a great team to work with and I appreciate ALL of them very much! The Custom Companies has a very good service for pickup and delivery on time for my company shipments, some time they came early then what I scheduled for, plus their delivery always on time to my client location, no matter where the shipments are going to be delivered. Byron Morales is my rep with his best team to help me if there are any additional questions or concerned.

So far its taken this company 8 days to move my shipment from IL to MO. One state, thats just a failure... Im in the freight business, it should only take 3-5 days to get across the ENTIRE country. Bang up job guys, maybe ill see my order next month. Who knows?

They submitted a $485 bid to a shipper to deliver a piece of furniture from California to Boston complete with white glove delivery service details of inside delivery up stairs to a second floor, and reneged upon arrival. Extremely rude delivery person from Northborough, MA warehouse, and dismissive M.G. email customer service representative from Northlake, IL. Two phone representatives from Los Angeles and Chicago were extremely polite. Why would they respond to a bid with explicit terms and conditions if allegedly they only do curbside delivery? Also, their website says 24/7 service, and that is not true. And it says they get it right, the first time, which is also not true. Paying $485 for delivery to a super tall second story floor gets you nothing, and terrible service.

Pretty good! Check in is simple, huge banner on building indicating where driver check-in is at, door assigned pretty quick. A bit tight docking trailer and leaving, but because they have you drop and bobtail out onto the street to park it gives more room. Overall not too bad a place to load or deliver...

The Company I am at has been working with Custom Companies for a few years now. They arent perfect and yes there have been some issues here and there, but no freight company I have worked with has been completely perfect. So overall we are quite satisfied with them and will continue to use their services. One thing that we like is the responsiveness of our rep, who is currently Byron Morales. He responds quickly to any questions and concerns we may have and does everything he can to answer or help with any issues.

I havent had a great experience with Custom Companies. They had a data breach which shutdown their servers. I can understand some setback and delays because of that, but its been nearly 3 weeks. They picked up my shipment on June 30th and immediately lost track of it. After calling for weeks I wasnt able to get any useful information other than that they thought it would arrive at the local terminal (operated by another company) last week. I called the terminal several times and they had no record of the shipment showing up. Custom Companies told me that it was probably just because they hadnt entered it into their records yet. The reality is, it never never arrived and nobody has any idea where it is actually atCustom Companies is now telling me the terminal had 6 shipments without a manifest so theres no way to tell if one of those is mine. How that happens in the first place is beyond me, data breach or not. The staff at the terminal; however, did inform me that all the shipments theyve received from Custom Companies actually do have a manifest, mine just isnt one of them.Update (6/22): After the package being lost for 21 days I received a call to have delivery scheduled on 6/21. With everything scheduled, I took the afternoon off work to accept the delivery. It did NOT show. I was told the driver called in sick and that I should have been notified (I wasnt). I was then told the shipment could be delivered early the next day (6/22). After nothing showed up the morning of 6/22 I called the terminal. The shipment is sitting on their dock. They said the soonest it could be redelivered was (6/23) because all their trucks had already left. When I asked why they just didnt leave it on the truck to be delivered today I was told that they have to schedule residential deliveries. SERIOUSLY!? Had they called me the previous day to notify me it wasnt going to be delivered this could have been handled. Absolute nightmare.

Avoid having your delivery through them at ALL COSTS. After having waited for them to call me about scheduling a delivery, which I was told would happen a day after I called, I was forced to reach out to them as they never contacted me at all. I was then told that all of their trucks had departed already so I would have to wait until Monday of the following week. Why is it that they never contacted me? Why did I have to reach out to them when I was told they would reach out to me to schedule my delivery that was already late. The only reason they didnt get 1 star is because in spite of these issues, customer service was friendly and willing to help, only after I reached out to them of course.

Horrible company. 21 Days from LA to Colorado Springs and the shipment arrived with forklift damage. I have been on hold 28 minutes trying to get updated tracking. I have tried every number. I would avoid this company at all cost. they will make you look bad.

So this has been the worst freight experience I have ever had. The items ship out last Friday. Around Tuesday I go to there website and fill out the contact us form since my delivery shows arriving Friday. I wanted to verify this was right and to make arrangements with work. Well I never heard back from the company. So I went ahead and took the day off. Today (Friday the delivery day) I login to check the status on the shipment. Well what do you know the delivery date has changed to Monday. So I have wasted a day off because The Custom Company does not know anything about customer service. Next time it would be easier for me to go pick up the package my self.

If you want your shipment on time, look elsewhere. They often shop your freight out so you get handed off multiple times just to have a delivery date far past the given time frame when scheduling.

So I had a mixed experience. It is tight to get in to. And if you do not have a door you should park on the street and walk in to get a door assigned. There seems to be little to no truck traffic control which makes it just that much more difficult. However, the young lady in the shipping office was nice and once I was in a door they got me loaded within an hour.

Delivery was cancelled for unknown reasons. I get tired of hanging up on your phone (because guess what?) and then they answer and through their teeth that you dont matter to them. A pre-call and coordinated access routes, a delivery time window - nothing helped. Terrible unprofessionalism and spiteful disregard for the customers. Shipment sent to the wrong dock - I have had to call twice. The first time I was told I would received a call back after being on hold for over 15 minutes. Call the second time and i have been on hold for over 32 minutes and still no one has came back on the line. I would never recommend this company to anyone if this is how they handle shipments.

I would give a zero star if I can. If its not for the rate, I would never use them. They mess up with delivery, break up your pallets, and will always find excuses to deny your claims. If your consignee only signed for missing/damages boxes, they wont pay, because it was not detailed enough as how many boxes were missing. If you consignee signed the exact boxes missing, they still wont pay, because the driver didnt count the boxes at pick up. So if he signed for one pallet, it considered a perfect delivery even if he delivered an empty pallet to the consignee.

I purchased rims from a company and the rim manufacturers used these people for the freight shipping. My freight was in their warehouse by 12/26/17 and didnt even bother to call and set up an appt. For delivery. So I had to call them up for a delivery appt. And was told the next day between 10am and 2pm my fright would be delivered. Well that never happened, and when I called to see where my items were past the delivery time frame they played stupid and said no delivery was ever set up.... so I guess I just imagined the whole conversation with a lady in compton for a delivery. Do not use these guys for freight delivery

Theyve recently been hacked and their system is down. Managed to get a hold of a few employees and theyve been giving me the run around on the status of my shipment. They blamed the delay in delivery on the consignee when in reality, Custom Co probably lost the shipment. One month transit to move one state over and still no answer. Trash service.

This is one of the worst companies I’ve ever dealt with. Not only is their website terribly outdated and very incorrect. Their customer service is even worse. I could barely understand the guy and he sounded like he gave me a fake name. I didn’t choose to use this service the company I ordered through did. I would never ever use these guys for anything.
