I have been experiencing excessive sweating in my hands, underarms, and feet since I was a little girl. Ive tried various methods to hide the sweat in all three areas. After discussing my condition with Dr. Basseri and getting all my questions answered, I decided to undergo surgery, which has been life-changing for both my personal and professional life. Initially, I was skeptical about the procedure, but now I see that it was one of the best decisions I’ve made for myself. I underwent ETS surgery for my hands and underarms but I’ve seen so much improvement on my feet as well. I had a great experience and have no regrets. It was truly a positive experience. After many failed interventions for my daughters hyperhidrosis, I was told of a surgeon in CA that could help my child. Thankfully, I pursued it and made the call!My daughter Lilly (16) underwent surgery with Dr. Bassari and his team. After MANY failed interventions, she awoke in the recovery suite with DRY hands and hasn’t looked back! To say Dr Bassari changed her life is an understatement. It has been weeks and guess what?! Her hands are STILL DRY!! She holds her head high, looks people in the eye, and SHAKES their hands!! Something I have not witnessed in years! Hands down one of the best decisions I have ever made for myself. There are truly no words to describe what this surgery has done for me personally and professionally. This surgery center exceeded my expectations! Everyone was so kind and Dr. Basseri explained the whole procedure in great detail and really helped me feel comfortable. There were no secrets and everything was very upfront and straightforward. The nurses were as gentle as they could be and were on top of things from start to finish. The center even helped me stay up to date on the whole authorization process for the insurance before the surgery which can usually feel like a hassle. This surgery changed my life and I am so grateful to everyone on the team!

Dr. Basseri outlined everything about the procedure and the recovery process beforehand (which occurred exactly as he said), and hes the most attentive doctor Ive ever worked with!From the very first phone consultation, Dr. Basseri was very thorough in describing hyperhidrosis itself as well as the ETS procedure. I was worried going into the call that he might sound busy and rushed on the phone and that I may not get my questions answered, but he was the complete opposite, very calm and helpful!Then when I came into the office for an in-person consult, Dr. Basseri was Very friendly! He slowly went over the whole procedure in detail, drawing things out and showing me the clamps they would use. He described everything that would happen immediately following the procedure and how the recovery process would go. His whole staff was super friendly as well, and I left the office feeling really at peace!On the day of the procedure, I went into the office very early morning, signed all the required documents, and almost immediately went into the pre/post-op room (I dont know what its called lol). The staff at the surgery center were all very friendly as well, and my nurse Shoshana (apologies if spelled wrong!) explained a few more details to me, reiterating what the recovery would be like Specifically (for example: how the initial chest soreness/tightness would eventually shift to my upper back/shoulder blades) It wasnt long before Dr. Basseri came in, reviewed some last things, met the anesthesiologist, and we were good to go!Post-op I was obviously feeling rather groggy, but the nurses helped me with everything and I was out the door before I knew it. My chest and back were pretty sore for the next handful of days, but honestly everything progressed Exactly how Dr. Basseri and Shoshana explained it would, so I had peace about the whole process! My hands have been perfectly dry ever since (about 3 months now). I also havent thought about underarm sweat since then, and the compensatory sweating on my abdomen and lower back is super manageable, and mainly happens when Im at the gym. All in all, this was Such a great experience, and Ill most likely be returning in a few months for the ELS surgery (pending on my new job health insurance lol. I will say, thats got to be the only downside of this procedure is the cost. But I mean, it was definitely worth it!)Last thing Ill say (I know this has already been a novel lol), is after the procedure, Dr. Basseri either called or texted me from his personal line to check in on my recovery multiple times over the first few days, and then 2-3 times over the following 3 months! Most attentive doctor Ive ever worked with!

Dr. Basseri and the rest of his staff are awesome! They made me feel really comfortable during the entire process leading up the surgery and during surgery. It’s been almost 3 months since my surgery and ever since then I’ve gotten a huge surge of confidence and comfortability when it comes to social interactions and no longer have to worry about what people will say about my sweaty hands. It’s been life-changing for me in lots of situations even outside of just social interactions. My daughter was a patient of Dr. Basseri at the Center for Hyperhidrosis this past February (2024). We discovered the Center through a Google search - and from the first contact with Dr Basseri, we knew this is where she needed to go! Everyone at the Center was very responsive and friendly and helped us navigate the pre-surgery process. Dr. Basseri spent a lot of time with my daughter and I during the pre-op appointment, making sure we understood everything and were comfortable. His follow up and concern post-surgery was incredible. Highly highly recommend this group for treatment of your hyperhidrosis diagnosis. I suffered from Plantar and Palmar hyperhidrosis and I thought I was going to have to live with this miserable condition for the rest of my life. When I found Dr. Basseri my life completely changed. From the minute we had our phone consultation through surgery and even the day I was fully recovered Dr. Basseri and his entire team were so kind, made me feel extremely comfortable. I knew I was in good hands. I’ve had amazing success since surgery day for the ELS procedure with not a single ounce of sweat in my feet. I can finally wear rubber flip flops without the sweat flying from my shoes and making squeaking noises, high heels without my feet constantly slipping, white tennis shoes without them getting stained by my sweat, fuzzy slippers without the inside fuzz being ruined or smell from the sweat. An amazing experience! My son suffered terribly from constant sweaty hands and it was impacting his life in many negative ways including mentally.The surgery went amazing, very minimal recovery time and no sweaty hands immediately upon waking from surgery.It’s now been a few months since the surgery and his hands are normal and it’s been life changing.Dr Baseri and the entire team was amazing, made us feel comfortable right from the initial consultation.The staff at the facility was also super helpful with everything and made us feel so comfortable and at ease with the entire process.As far as compensatory sweating my son has not experienced any even though we were prepared and told to expect minimal compensatory sweating.If you’re struggling with hyperhydrosis I would strongly consider checking out the Center for Hyperhydrosis, it truly was a life changing event for us .

We are coming up on two years since my daughter had the ETS surgery for her hands. Best decision ever! I don’t think that she would’ve been able to make it through nursing school the last two years having to put on gloves with dripping, wet hands. My experience with Dr Basseri and his staff has been nothing short of a god send. My grandson has been struggling with this condition for many years (most of which we had no idea what it was called). Most local doctors tried to treat him with creams and medication. None of which worked. He was to the point where he felt like an outcast not wanting to socialize and was embarrassed to go out with friends and even contemplated ending his life. Fortunately his grandmother did a google search and found the center for Hyperhidrosis. After making the initial call with my grandson and talking to Dr Basseri we decided that this was our best option to resolve his problem. Thank god we did. Everything they told us about what would happen DID!!! The care and empathy they showed was amazing. The procedure resulted in my grandson regaining his life back. No more sweaty hands, underarms and some additional areas as well. He is now back to work able to socialize without having to worry about his previous embarrassing condition. First I want to say, I so regret not filming my experience from start to finish. I definitely wish I did but results is what matters at this point and it’s been over two months, since I had my surgery on Feb 28 and I’m still in disbelief that this sweaty hand condition I had for over 32 years is gone and it’s almost like I never had it. I’m a new person that now looks to embrace a handshake without hesitation. If you are considering and debating if you should have this surgery just do it trying other methods will only lead to you revisiting this option. The staff was A1 from beginning to end recovery was mild slight pain as expected when healing but the excitement of dry hands really makes you tolerate it and Dr. Basseri consistently checks up on you and your progress to assure you of what to expect during recovery. This truly is a God send because I was told as I get older it would disappear and it got worse but now I’m living the life I always envisioned and I’m just getting started thanks again Dr. Reisfeld & Dr. Basseri!!!

Living with this condition for the last 20 years impacted every aspect of my life, from the clothes I would wear to the parties/events I would show up for. I got ETS surgery for my hands back in mid-August (2023) and it has truly changed my life. Before the surgery, my hands would sweat so excessively that it was extremely difficult to write on papers and not fun shaking people’s hands. My hyperhidrosis was a huge nuisance, especially with me currently attending college, and thinking about it would make it worse, so it felt like a perpetual problem. Once I talked to Dr. Basseri and the rest of the team, I knew that the Center for Hyperhidrosis was the one. I had tried other treatments in the past but nothing had worked. The team was immensely kind and patient, always there to answer any questions or concerns I had. They also guided me through the process and weren’t pressuring at all. The only thing that took some time for the surgery to actually get scheduled was getting approved by my insurance company, but the team was excellent at contacting them and obtaining the necessary paperwork. Post surgery I didn’t believe that my hands would stay dry, but it actually does work. It’s amazing how instantly the change happens. I also received calls from Dr. Basseri and the head nurse frequently afterward to make sure everything was okay and reassure me about the recovery process. He and the team are awesome! Now my life has improved greatly on both a physical and mental scale. I definitely recommend it; I even hope to visit again to get the ELS surgery for my feet by the end of the year. Hoping to save everyone who is interested in ETS some time back in their day. We had our phone consultation this morning with the doctor. Completely fine experience. Spent most of the time easing concerns about the procedure. How it’s very non invasive, takes less than an hour, 99% success rate, etc. We made it clear at that point that we had already done our research and our insurance does not cover this and needed to know what the cash price was for the procedure.The answer: $26,000! Just for hands! No feet included.For an outpatient procedure that takes less than an hour? Apparently there isn’t enough competition in this space. Hopefully there will be soon so those suffering from anxiety and depression due to hyperhidrosis don’t get robbed.

I had my surgery just over two months ago and it has changed my life! I’ve never felt more cared for than when I was at the Center for Hyperhidrosis. Each person I met was so supportive and willing to answer all of my many questions to make sure I was comfortable. I have had this condition since early childhood and had tried various alternative solutions over the years, none of which had worked for me. He was professional, detailed, and patient with my questions. I had my surgery 2 months ago. I cannot recommend the Center for Hyperhidrosis enough! I have a medical condition that made my surgery a little more involved than it is for the average patient. Dr. Basseri was wonderful and so persistent in helping me arrange all the extra blood work and pre op care which was a several months long process. He was very thorough explaining the procedure and what to expect afterwards which made me feel very comfortable going into surgery. He checked on me multiple times for about 2 weeks post op to make sure I was doing ok and answer any questions. Rebecca was also amazing in helping coordinate everything and answer all my questions.I have been loving my new life with dry hands and underarms! I have a lot less anxiety in social situations and have been enjoying doing simple daily tasks without a second thought like writing on paper, putting on gloves, and driving. I started my process a long time ago, I first had a phone consult with Dr.Basseri where he explained the procedure, answered any questions I had, and made sure I was a good candidate for the surgery. The conversation went great, wasnt rushed at all. Shortly after we confirmed that I was a good candidate and I decided that I wanted to move forward with the surgery, the friendly office staff got in contact with me and got all of the paperwork started.Unfortunately, my insurance company was TERRIBLE, no fault of the drs office, but the insurance company did not want to cooperate whatsoever and significantly delayed my surgery date. Thankfully, Stella, who works at the Center for Hyperhidrosis, spent hours of her time, week after week, on the phone with me helping fight the insurance company to cover the surgery. She was an amazing help, was very intelligent in all things related to insurance, and 100% had my back fighting for the insurance company to cover the surgery. I can not thank her enough for all of her help!Once the insurance was figured out, I got a call from Sandra and Nichole, the surgery coordinator and one of the nurses for the surgery center (I believe these were their names and roles). They were also amazing! They explained every part of the process in preparing for and scheduling surgery and worked with me every step of the way. I was able to schedule my surgery very quickly and not far out from the date of our phone conversation.My pre-op appointment with Dr.Basseri was unlike any drs appointment Ive ever had or been to with a family member before. Dr.Basseri, himself, spent so much time with my family and I. He fully explained the procedure in great detail, answered any and all of my questions, and really got to know me as a person. He asked about my hobbies, schooling, career, and things I was looking forward to after surgery. I could not have been more comfortable and excited to get this surgery than I was after meeting with Dr.Basseri. Truly an amazing person and doctor, and I could not speak more highly of him. Looking back, knowing what I know now and what the outcome of the surgery is, I can say for certain that he explained perfectly and fully everything that I should expect following the surgery. I had ETS surgery and he said my hands would go from sweating at a 10 to a 0 (that blew me away when he said that, I never thought they would stop sweating, BUT THEY DID!), he said that there would be compensatory sweating in my back, stomach, and legs which would really only be during exercise or when I was hot and would normally sweat -- all of which I was explained to me ahead of time and again in the office. Everything that he told me to expect was right on the money. No surprises or anything other than what he told me to expect happened.After over an hour of talking with him in the pre-op appointment, we went to the actual surgical center that was just down the hall from the office itself. There we met with more of the surgical team and did a little but of paperwork. The surgical nurses that we met with were, again, amazing. They answered any questions we had and explained the pre-op and post-op instructions once again.The day of surgery, we got everything started early in the morning. Met with the surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologist and other members of the surgical team before surgery. The again asked if I had any questions and got everything started for surgery. The whole thing was pretty painless and easy. I had 4 small incisions, and only 2 small scars are actually visible (he was able to hide them pretty well). After surgery, almost everyday, for about the next 2 weeks, I got a call/text from Dr.Basseri and the surgical team checking in on how I was doing. This was truly an experience and level of care that I have received unlike any that Ive ever had before. My hands have been 100% sweat free ever since and I wish I had done this sooner. Could not speak more highly of Dr.Basseri, his team, or his office. If youre questioning this procedure, call them, and do it! Its life changing!

Where do I begin. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Basseri and his whole team. I was fighting with sweaty hands for majority of my early teen and young adult life and developed extreme social anxiety. As I proudly type without a drop of sweat on my keyboard, I wish to say thank you for all Dr. Basseri and the Center for Hyperhidrosis has done for me. I feel lucky to live in a time where there is such a resource available, and for it to be performed at a facility with a staff that cares so much about the patient’s wellbeing. From the moment I found out about The Center for Hyperhidrosis, the team has been excellent, especially in reassuring me and my family about any questions we had, and the surgery was scheduled within about a month of us calling. The process was quick and the directions were clear, and I am thrilled with the results. I had my hands and armpits done, and although my feet have gone back to sweating again, it is what I expected, and even though they sweat, it seems to be less severe. Since my surgery I have had this sense of fearlessness, like I have absolutely nothing to hide. I am confident at my job as a waiter, no longer handing out wet receipts and pens, and not having to wipe my hands on my pants before carrying a martini glass, or putting away clean silverware. At my job as a teacher, I never am distracted by my hands, nor concerned about anyone noticing. Playing bass and piano has been wonderful. I had my rusty guitar pickups switched out and no longer have to worry about corrosion or damage, and when I play I can actually focus on the groove and not on finding a good time to wipe the neck of the guitar with my sleeve. A lot of things have seemed to become easier, and my confidence in my daily life has never been better.Overall, this has been the most life-changing experience I have ever had, and I can’t think of a way that the process could have been any better. I was so happy to have found the Center For Hyperhidrosis when I did! I’ve dealt with hyperhidrosis for 27 years, and I had no idea that there was even a diagnosis, or that it could be treated effectively. I tried all of the creams and treatments that were available, and nothing really worked at all. I had previously had my surgery for sweaty palms with my Kaiser doctor here in San Francisco, and that went very smoothly. I spent one night in the hospital, and honestly felt like I could’ve used another. I was surprised to hear that for the foot surgery, Dr. Basseri said that I would be able to go home that day. I certainly had a difficult recovery from the hand surgery, as my lungs felt weak for sometime afterwards, and the pain management was a bit tricky for the first two days.I expected similar recovery time and treatment from the Center For Hyperhidrosis, and if I’m being honest, I wish that they did offer this. Because most people are flying in for this surgery, They are often getting into an Uber and going back to their hotels to recover, when I find that it probably would’ve been much more comfortable, and made me feel safer, to have been able to stay in the hospital, or facility overnight. However, the process was very smooth with Dr. Basseri and his team. I flew in on Thursday morning to Beverly Hills, I went in for my in person, preop consultation, and this went very smoothly! They walked me through every single step of the surgery, and the process and the recovery, and showed me where everything would happen and talk to me about, all of the little details that might have slipped before hand. The one thing I do wish is that I was more prepared for this consultation. I was told that I would need to come in to their office for a consultation the day before my surgery, however, I was not exactly sure what would happen during this appointment. While I have the entire day free because I flew to LA for the surgery, I did not realize I would be there for hours going through every single detail of both my medical situation, and what procedure was to come the next day. Moving forward I think they should definitely give a little summary on what to expect on that day, but I don’t want that to take away from the fact that I was very grateful to have that time and guidance before the big day.Everything went super smoothly for my surgery, I had massive anxiety, and they helped me with that, and gave me some thing for that, I don’t remember much from the day, but I do remember waking up immediately with dry feet, and my feet have not sweat again since then! After the surgery for my hands, I was left with a lot of compensatory sweating in areas of my body, that I normally did not sweat before, but after this surgery, I found that overall compensatory sweating has gone down, which is an amazing, added bonus! I also want to add that Dr. Basseri has been incredibly attentive and responsive. He really doesn’t go more than 10 minutes without responding to a text message whether it’s a question a comment or really just want to discuss some thing we’re feeling uneasy about or may be a side effect from a medication. He makes himself very available, even right when he gets out of surgery, and I found this to be very helpful and made me feel so much more at ease, knowing that he was there if I needed him.The last bit of feedback I will give here is that I also wish I had clear expectations when it came to scarring. As someone with brown skin, I wish I knew this because my skin scars and creates dark spots very easily and quickly and I would’ve been more on top of getting scar cream and scar tape. This was really not mentioned to me or suggested until I asked about it and followed up. Otherwise, this is a great team of very passionate people, and they took amazing care of me. If you’re hesitating, having the surgery, I would just do it! It is absolutely life-changing and I wonder if Dr. Basseri will share this technique in the future so that other doctors can help their patients around the country.

I had such a positive experience with Dr. Basseri and his entire staff. I first reached out to the center about 6 months ago. The ease of scheduling a consult with Dr. Basseri via phone and scheduling a date for the procedure was seamless. The lady who worked with me and my insurance to assure the procedure would be in-network was great, there were no surprise bills before, during or after the procedure. The day before the procedure Dr. Basseri and his staff from all disciplines met with me to review every aspect of the procedure and what to expect. This surgery is everything I ever wanted. I’m no longer nervous meeting new people, knowing the first thing they want to do is shake my hand. I’m no longer scared to takeoff my shoes around others, knowing an odor could be coming from them. This is the life-changing surgery I never knew was available. Please dont do it! Talk to people that did this surgery and do your proper research. I wanted to say thank you to Dr. Basseri and his team. i have been struggling with hyperhydrosis for as long as i can remember. for years, i would feel uncomfortable and embarrassed. I would be terrified to shake someones hand, i couldn’t hold anyones hand. in school, it would be difficult to write. it affected my job. my hands would be so sweaty that they would swell up from how much moisture they held. every time someone would accidentally brush against my hands they would think my hands were wet. I’ve gone to doctors and dermatologists and was prescribed with topical solutions. these solutions did not help at all. i knew what i had was uncommon so i decided to do my own research. i came across the iontophoresis machine. i would do this on my hands and feet daily but these results were temporary. i was very discouraged. having to take 40 extra minutes every morning to do this treatment made me wonder if there was any permanent solutions. As i did more research i came across Dr. Basseri and his team. i was extremely nervous as others may be, about wanting to get a procedure done. but i was also encouraged to know that my results would be permanent. i decided to schedule my consultation. i spoke with Dr. Basseri over the phone and he went over all of my questions and concerns. he explained everything i needed to know about the procedure. he was also happy to tell me that every one of his stories was a success story. i knew i was in good hands from here. I worked with his team in the office to make sure i got everything that i needed for pre op. I scheduled my surgery a few months later. My mom and I flew in to see Dr. Basseri and his team. the day we got there we went in and I had another consultation. Dr.Basseri went over everything again for my mom and I. He even drew up a sketch for us to visibly have an understanding on the procedure. I then met the team that took care of me at the surgical center. They went over exactly how i would be feeling when i woke up, how much pain medication to take and when to take it, what i should eat, what i should wear when i come in. all of this information made me feel comfortable. However i was still very nervous for surgery. The following day was when my surgery was scheduled. Everyone did such a great job taking care of me. i felt like they were excited for me to come out of there with completely dry hands. when i woke up i could not believe my results. and till this day i still can’t believe it. i no longer have to worry about my hand’s sweating when i walk in a room full of people. i no longer have to dodge the handshakes. Dr. Basseri really did so amazing. Recovery was the most uncomfortable part about my whole experience. during my consultation, Dr. Basseri’s team let me know that i would feel pretty tight in my chest. and also shortness of breath when walking around. I could say by the last day of my trip, i was feeling way better. I definitely experienced those side effects though. It took me about a week to feel like my normal self again, and be able to start exercising again. When i woke up from my surgery i was released to my mom the same day. we were able to fly back home the day after. to anyone that is doing research. this is the best decision you will make. I truly cannot begin to express by gratitude for Dr. Basseri and all the amazing staff at the Center for Hyperdyrosis. After suffering for the entirety of my life, I was under the impression that I would have to live with this condition for the rest of my life. I dont usually write a review but Dr. Basseri and his staff deserve one from me. My son was suffering from sweating situation that affected his entire life, educationally, emotionally and anything that anyone can imagine. He decided to leave the school, not willing to work or live his life like all his friends. By the way he tried all other things such as mediation, the machine.....etc non of these worked with him. I had my ETS surgery around six months ago and haven’t had to worry about my hands sweating for one second since. as soon as I woke up from the surgery I had completely dry hands, and no matter how much I thought about it ( which always brought on the sweating ) they stayed dry. as a book lover, reading has been my favorite sweat free activity but i’ve been able to do so much more things after this procedure that I didn’t even dream of doing with dripping hands. truly, it changed my life. and at first my feet got better after the ETS surgery, but the sweat did return after a month or so. OMG--Im dry!! I cannot believe it! What a life changing experience for me...Whoever is on the fence or considering, look no further. Ive suffered with hyperhidrosis for about 30 years (right around puberty). I had surgery in my early 20s, which was successfully, but it only cured my hands and underarms. It didnt cure my feet :( Hyperhidrosis was not really a known medical condition when I was younger and I seemed like I was the only one suffering with this condition. Luckily, I did find a doctor who was able to help, but it was only for the hand and underarms. Several years after my surgery, I started having compensatory sweating in other areas of my body I never had issue before. This was a gradual effect and then it became out of control towards my 40s. Once again, I started to do a ton of research, I tried several homeopathic alternatives (medication wasnt an option for me), but nothing seemed to help. Finally, I came across the Center For Hyperhidrosis (CFH). I discovered CFH is the ONLY center who cures the feet (plantar) area. It seemed too good to be true. And not only that, CFH does an entirely different procedure than the one I did 21 years prior. New technology + knowledge = no crazy compensatory sweating!! Yaaah!! I kicked the tire for a couple of years, since I still was worried that I might still get compensatory sweating, but I finally had the procedure in Dec of 2021. Had ETS surgery here for palmar Hyperhidrosis back in October of 2021. The site was very clean, comfortable, and all of the staff was very helpful, caring, friendly, and professional. In october of 2021 i flew from NYC to California to receive my ETS surgery. From the moment i stepped foot into the facility in Beverly hills i immediately felt so welcomed. From the front desk, finance office, nurses and especially Dr Basseri and Dr Reisfeld. I felt safe and ensured that i was making the right choice. Dr.Basseri and his staff are AWESOME!!! We are from San Antonio, Tx. We thought that it was going yo be difficult having to work with Dr. Basseri’s office since they are located in California. Man we’re we wrong! We were guided step by step on what needed to be done to make our daughters procedure a success. When we arrived, they welcomed us with open arms. Everyone was so friendly. Life changing experience, please read!! I had suffered for over 20 years with severe sweating on my hands and armpits. It brought me anxiety and extreme embarrassment. I had tried all of the lotions, water shocking, padded shirts (good idea for armpit sweat), etc and nothing helped my palms much. My hands would literally drip sweat if I really focused on them. After googling hyperhidrosis and treatments, I decided to really look into a permanent solution. Thats where I saw on Google The Center For Hyperhidrosis. My partner had this “reversible” procedure done here by Dr.Bassari and Dr. Reisfeld, last year. The surgery has already began to ruin their life. It will begin to sweat in areas you never have before, and the surgery is not reversible. Do not believe anything that is spoken by these two, or what you see online as far as the good the surgery provides. The clamps are placed on your sympathetic nerve, which is along your spine! That should never be tampered with, as it will cause so many other issues in your body. Many have started researching how to repair their bodies after this… only to find that you might return to a 20% form of normal after getting them out or do you need to fly to Taiwan to have Dr. Chang give you a synthetic nerve… to even begin to live a normal life! That’s horrible! The surgery also causes you to become heat intolerant! Anything above 80° will feel like torture to your head and upper body as it can no longer thermal regulate. Please please please please research deeply before you make the choice to do this barbaric procedure.

I never felt like I could be myself and be in the moment, I was always feeling like I wanted to hide from having new conversations. I’m not Antisocial at all either so it just made me mad or upset I was putting myself in this situation. Growing up the worst part of my hyperhidrosis came with the seasonal weather changes we have in Arizona changing from low 40s in winter all the way to 120 degree summers. I would sweat profusely in the summer everywhere and I would still sweat in the winter, sometimes even worse then summer! During the winters I would get cold sweats and start shaking. This continued to develop worse as I started to age, I told my parents countless times and showed them my condition but my mom and dad both never really listened or understood. I even saw a few doctors at a young age and showed them my red/Purple sweaty dripping hands.They only told me that it will go away with age and not to worry about it. I was so tired of suppressing this I had to do some research and find out my condition. I’ve been asked who diagnosed me a lot... No one else did, I did myself. I was about 12/13 at the time I found out what hyperhidrosis really was. Every time I had a co pay and more fees.I started to feel very discouraged throughout the entire thing as I wasn’t receiving much help or positive news. A month after my 21st birthday I finally got good news. My insurance accepted my ETS procedure after months of doing appeals. Book an appointment with the Dr. Basseri and get the ETS (Endoscopic Thoraic Surgery done) at your earliest.I was afraid of surgeries and had learnt to manage my condition. But now looking back I wish I had got this done earlier.I was recommended the Center of Hyperhidrosis by my PCP at Stanford Medical center. The reason was that they had the state of the art endoscopic instrument which was minimally invasive and the doctors here, Dr. Basseri, were experts in the treatment of this condition.My surgery was smooth. Dr. Basseri explained to me all the details of the surgery and even shared with me research papers that I was interested in reading. Post surgery, Dr. Basseri and his staff made sure to follow up regularly ensuring I was doing well. My scars have vanished and so is my sweating! I did experience some compensatory sweating, but this has been minimal and tolerable. There was some numbness and back pain for a few weeks following the surgery but this all subsided eventually. I brought my son to Dr Basseri after several years of trying other solutions to his sweaty hands. My 17 year old was extremely frustrated with his hands and it was changing who he was. He had trouble spinning the lock on his locker because his hands were too sweaty. He didn’t want to do his work at school (would wait until he got home) because he couldn’t wipe his hands off enough to keep a pen or pencil in his hand. He didn’t want to play sports outside with his siblings because even dribbling a basketball was awful. He wants to go into business (and he will be starting the University of St Thomas in the fall!) and feared having to shake someone’s hand. He avoided physical contact at all costs, which meant he tabled with the idea of having a girlfriend because there’s no way he would want to have to touch someone. Hello everyone! I would rate this office and the Doctors a higher rating if I could. I had hyperhidrosis all my life, in my hands and under my feet. It is a very frustrating, uncomfortable, and an anxious feeling to have to live with it for so long. Paper towels was a must to have anywhere I went. I found Dr. Reisfeld and Dr. Basseri on Google. I did my research, made an appointment for consultation, and still decided not to the procedure. I always kept holding it off because I would hear stories of others and how they experienced side effects and severe compensatory sweating. Our daughter was shutting down. At 15 there was no future insight for her as she struggled with the embarrassment of sweating dripping wet hands and armpits. From the day I reached out to the Center for Hyperhidrosis, they have been so helpful and responsive. Dr. Basseri talked to myself and my mom two different times for over an hour over the phone explaining the procedure in depth and answering all of the questions we had about the surgery (trust me, there were a lot of questions). He was patient, understanding, and very knowledgable. I don’t know of any surgeon that would go out of their way to talk to POTENTIAL patients like he did. I felt so comfortable with him and his staff. I got the ETS surgery in May of 2022 for my Palmer Hyperhidrosis, and I can say that Dr. Bassett and his team changed my life. Finding Dr. Basseri was an answered prayer. For 30 years, my hands dictated what I did and didnt do. I never imagined it possible to have normal, dry hands. I had my surgery August of 2021 and my life has dramatically changed since then. The entire staff was very supportive and Dr. Basseri made the entire process easy and seamless. It took me about a week to fully recover and feel like myself again but immediately after surgery, I had dry hands. I am now someone who uses lotion and gets manicures lol I can shake hands confidently and hold hands with my boyfriend without feeling totally gross. It is still hard for me to believe in certain situations that my hands are not sweating. I still have dreams that the surgery didnt work and my hands are sweating again - the trauma! I am forever thankful for Dr. Basseri. He has no idea how much it means to me to have dry hands and under arms. He has truly changed my life. I have struggled with sweaty hands and underarms my whole life. It was a daily battle and caused constant anxiety. I’ve suffered from hyperhidrosis literally since I was a baby. My mother took me to the doctor for it as a toddler. She had to meet with teachers to tell them why my paper always got wet while trying to write. As I grew to an adult, this disorder has made me suffer from anxiety/panic attacks & depression. Nothing was working. Glycopyrolate helped but of course I don’t want to be on that my whole life. Why me? I’d cry and cry. And no one really knew! I was so sick of feeling sorry for myself. So I started researching again. And found Dr. Basseri! Nothing was stopping me. I was so ready to find an answer. A solution. This procedure (ETS) was the answer. The answer to my sanity, my mental health, my well-being….and my lifelong struggle. I only wish I found him sooner. He said when I wake up, I’d feel dry and warm. And that I did! The last 2 months have been life changing for me, my hands feel so nice and dry, I actually use lotion now haha! For me, my symptoms of Hyperhidrosis started around the age of 8 with both my hands and feet sweating excessively. Growing up as a cheerleader and a young adult through high school it just made everything difficult and awkward. When I was 17 I found a physician near me in Indianapolis and he did the surgery to correct my hand sweating. He told me that it was a 50-50 chance for my feet and it did not work. So I felt like how I did for most of my life... that it was just something I was going to have to live with and deal with. June 2019 I called that same physician in Indianapolis and told him I could no longer continue to live with the excessive sweating of my feet. So my doctor in Indianapolis got on Google and found Dr Basseri and I ended up just reaching out to The Center for Hyperhidrosis via phone and set up a conference with Dr Basseri over the phone. We spent 30 to 45 minutes on the phone one day and he gave me a well knowledged background of the condition and went over step-by-step the process of the surgery and everything from flying out there to coming home. He even provided me with a previous patients number for me to reach out to. My mom and I flew out on a Thursday to California and we met with Dr Basseri that afternoon for my consultation and to prepare for surgery the next day. I went in Friday and had my surgery and there was a slight complication due to me having a child but Dr Basseri and his team were determined to not give up until they were able to complete my surgery… Which they did and I am forever grateful for that! I flew home on Sunday and my recovery was quite painful honestly, but I would do it 10 times again just to get the outcome that I have now!! I’ve suffered from hyperhidrosis (main issue was sweaty hands) my entire life and I didn’t realize it was a medical condition until I was about 19/20 years old. I also didn’t know there was any type of procedure/surgery that could PERMANENTLY fix this issue till I found Dr. Basseri and the center for the hyperhidrosis. The center for hyperhidrosis specializes in a surgery/procedure that completely solves palmar hyperhidrosis and I felt very comfortable going to a place that only performs one kind of surgery/treatment for hyperhidrosis - Dr. Basseri is the best of the best and is the most specialized doctor when it comes to this surgery. Palmar hyperhidrosis caused me to be extremely nervous and anxious growing up - I never liked meeting new people and shaking hands with anyone. It also affected other things such as taking tests, using a touch screen phone, holding hands, etc… Eventually, I graduated from law school and it was starting to affect my work life so I had to make a change and that’s when I found Dr. Basseri. After the surgery everything changed, no more sweaty hands which meant all the issues that were caused by sweaty hands were gone as well. This surgery was truly life changing - I wish I found out about it sooner in my life. I had my surgery on December 3, 2021 for sweaty hands, and now my hands are bone dry! It got to the point where I had to start wearing lotion to prevent my skin from getting too dry. I now get compensatory sweating on my upper chest and back, but it is not a big deal compared to having sweaty hands. All I have to do is wear undershirts throughout the day and I am good to go. Getting the ETS was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. Both the staff and the doctors are top notch in their fields, and this is coming from someone who works in EMS and has a good idea about how healthcare works. I highly recommend them.

I’ve done iontophoresis through a machine called iontoderma - very painful, but it is effective. After awhile, it stopped working for me though. I’ve also tried numerous rounds of Botox at the maximum strengths allowed. The Botox was the most painful thing I’ve ever experienced, and it worked for about a day. They said it was supposed to work for 3 months. Then, I got it again at twice the strength, and my hands never stopped sweating. And again insanely painful.After surgery, the compensatory sweating is real - the sweat has moved to my lower back. So at nighttime, I sometimes wake up with my sheets a little wet. But it’s better than the hand sweat. My feet also still sweat, because that requires a separate surgery. I will be getting that surgery soon as well.For this surgery, Dr. Basseri is the best in the world - he and his mentor innovated the procedure of clipping the sweat glands. If your hands feet and armpits all sweat, this surgery is a must. Also, the surgery was 19k but with my insurance I ended up paying 2300. Dr. Basseri is also extremely responsive, and is easily one of the best doctors I’ve ever seen.

It occupied my mind all the time in any situation whether it was high stress or not. I made the leap of faith on Aug 13th of 2021 and woke up with dry hands and underarms after the surgery. I hope sharing my story can help somebody else who suffers from Hyperhidrosis. I searched for a safe solution for my sweaty hands my entire life. It wasn’t until I met Dr. Basseri in my early 40’s that my suffering finally ended. My earliest memories began around age 7 when I had to discontinue competing in gymnastics due to my excessively sweaty hands. It was heartbreaking but I learned how to work around it and had to give up doing many things I loved. My condition continued as I grew up, throughout college and as I started my career. I became a master of avoidance, anticipating ways I could hide my sweaty hands during various situations. I tried everything: creams, pills and various office procedures. Nothing helped. I researched surgery, but many years ago the only surgery I could find involved cutting the entire nerve chain and I wasn’t willing to do that. I continued my quest for a solution and finally found Dr. Basseri. I scheduled a consultation and went through every tiny detail of this much less invasive procedure which only clamps very specific nerves. I felt 100% confident in Dr. Basseri and trusted him to help me finally free myself from the chains of Hyperhidrosis. The surgery center is top of the line and I received excellent care before and after my surgery. The procedure was quick and I went home the same day to rest and recover. Within a few days, I was back up to normal activity. My hands have never sweat since the moment I woke from surgery. I have virtually no side effects, but do get compensatory sweating on my chest and back when I’m doing heavy exercise or in a very hot environment. This truly is a remarkable advancement in the treatment of Hyperhidrosis. This is not the older type of surgery from many years ago. It has changed my life in ways I can’t even describe. I’m 43 a year old that has dealt with the worst case of “dripping off my elbows” sweaty hands for as long as I can remember! Not only did I suffer with Hyperhidrosis of the palms but I’ve dealt with platers Hyperhidrosis of the feet. If I ever were to wear flip flops I’d quickly start sliding around on sweat produced mud. I had hyperhydrosis surgery in Beverly Hills when I was in my early 20s and I wish I NEVER had. I’m 30 now and my underarm skin is sagging due to this surgery and now I’m having to pay even more money to correct this flaw and I’m even more self conscious about my Underarms now than I was before having this hyperhydrosis surgery. When calling to talk to the Dr about this he explained to me it happens and was due to my skin pigment and to try exercises to correct it. I’m posting this in the hopes to caution others before getting the surgery. If I could rewind time And not get the surgery I would! I miss my non sagging underarms. It would had been great, if they we clinic in INDIA, especially for hyperhidrosis.....
