When I booked here through my Hilton honors app I was told and sold on this is a KID/Family friendly hotel.so why do I have a noise complaint for my toddler “pounding” at 930pm. Now I understand that nobody wants to be burdened by excessive noise but the way the manager on duty handled it was way below my expectations of what we paid for our room. Completely blinded sided by the phone call starting with “ We received a noise complaint from the guest below you” …… I was scolded by him as if my toddler was literally disturbing the peace.I ended that conversation quickly because I wanted to be rude back and needed a minute to clear my thoughts.Told my wife about the call and she was immediately ready to check out at that point because now you’ve made 2 parents feel less than responsible because your approach to a complaint. After a few minutes I called him back….. asking him if he has kids, he said no. I explained to him then we have a problem because if he did he would understand a 30 pound toddler can’t make enough pounding to disrupt someone’s evening unless they were jumping. MY CHILD HASN’T LEARNED TO JUMP YET!I also told him I was told that this hotel was kid and family friendly and if he did have kids he would understand! The fact that he still said “well we still received the complaint and it’s my job to handle it”.Is that a threat? This was Beyond rude and now borderline intimidating a paying guest. Obviously he is not a problem solver because I had to ask him if there was an opportunity to be moved or to have the person below us moved. (Yes I even was willing to relocate all our #*@* just to fix an issue). But why???? This is a kid friendly spot and my toddler (1 yr 7months) is laughing and running the floor from one side to the next and dancing to her songs I’m not gonna stop her. She’s excited, She can’t jump yet so I know she’s not pounding, But here I am having to explain myself to this manager because now I feel like me my wife and our 2 girls are gonna get kicked out because someone below me is too damn sensitive. My family and I were treated poorly with this whole situation. Beyond this major issue we had a few other issues as well1.- when we arrived there is no staff to assist with luggage. Not consistent with a 4 star hotel2- hidden fees, I was told in my price through Hilton Honors customer service what my price was, parking being the only thing not included. When we arrived an entirely different price was paid3- the only reason we booked this hotel was beside of the splash pad, we even asked the staff to confirm it was up and running….. lies, it was out of order (see photo)4- the room underneath the beds are disgustingly filthy…. This being a kid friendly place must surely know that toddlers touch everything and try to eat everything. (Photos will show the base boards filthy and with hair )Thank you Mr night time manager on 6/30/24. Your need to come off very demanding asking if my child is being noisy in a family and kid friendly 4 star hotel Is exactly what readers need to see before booking here.I’ve seen Home2 suites that were cleaner and more functional/ family friendly and those are by Hilton as well.Photos of floorboards, splash padDo better HILTON

We enjoyed our stay at the Cassara. The hotel is beautiful and location is great with amazing views. The room was clean, modern and very spacious. Parking was plentiful and hotel staff were helpful. We had a wonderful time here!

The staff was exemplary. I stayed for several days and interacted with many staff members. EVERY ONE was very helpful and friendly.The rooms were “fine.” It felt clean, but in need of a refresh. The bed was not comfortable, and pillows were flat. There was one single hook on which to hang towels. There were plentiful charging stations for all our devices.The overall property was nice. The pool was lovely and heated perfectly as the weather was rather cool. On site washers and dryers for guest use was very helpful for our long stay.

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever been to service wise.There is no service to help bring luggage into hotel room first and foremost.Getting food took more than an hour at the bar. We got a burger that was stale, dry, and no seasoning at all. I told the staff and they did not even offer to take it off our bill.Last but not least, we were there for a wedding which the host put her card on file. I CONFIRMED with hotel reception that my card would not be charged and would be cancelled during check out. Today I check and lo and behold my card was still charged. Called and told they couldn’t help until the morning…Now I have to deal with this issue that shouldn’t be a problem in the first place while i’m on vacation.I have never ever had such a bad experience with a hotel and this takes the cake.DO NOT STAY HERE

Nice area but thats only redeeming quality. Their service was equally dismissive and ignorant. They couldnt tell us where the room was. The room itself had no closet, no microwave, no working shower or bath. The water fountains dont work, the ice dispenser was locked up and couldnt be used. They tell you when you arrive to lock everything twice and dont bring valuables due to frequent thefts. Our room was facing another wall so good bye any scenic view. Oh and if you have kids you need to go walk half a mile to the public pool since they arent allowed at the main pool.

Rooms were a bit dirty, smelled like dogs even though we were supposed to be in a non-dog floor. Bed was pretty comfortable, just didn’t feel like they cleaned it since the conditioner bottle was completely empty when we got there.Service was pretty bad at the breakfast/bar area. No one came to get our order for 15minutes, so we ordered at the bar. Another 20 minutes later, everyone else got their food before us. No one would help us, so we had to go to the front desk to get an update on our order.Location is great, we walked over to Legoland. It’s right next to the Flower Fields too. If you walk around the complex, you can see the entirety of the Flower Fields.

This hotel is ideally located with Legoland right behind it, a flower farm in front, and an outlet mall across the street, all within a 5-minute walk. The rooms are clean and perfect for family trips. We were very satisfied with our stay.

We booked through the Legoland vacation portal and it said that the hotel offered Premium WiFi. And it said that Premium WiFi had a fee while standard WiFi was free. So far it made sense.When we checked in it said premium was 4.95 a night or enter a promo code. I didn’t get a promo code so I called the front desk and they said the premium WiFi that is included was the standard WiFi and the premium WiFi for 4.95 was something else and not the premium WiFi that was listed.Talk about a bait and switch.The location was close the Legoland but you had the cross the street and enter through a small service gate and then cross 4 lanes of people driving into Legoland so can be a little dangerous.The room was just typical and our room was outside the hotel. Meaning I walked down a hall and exited the hall to the outdoors and there was my room entrance and to get back inside I had to scan my room key to get back in the hallway. It was good to see that they put security measures for people to not have easy access to the ice machine but my room was out in the open for anyone in the parking lot to come look at.The room also was okay in that it looked clean like maybe a 2-star hotel. The soaps all had less than a fifth of soap left for the hand soap, shampoo, body wash, conditioner but I usually travel with my own so that wasn’t too bad.The reason I gave them two stars instead of one is that for dining the staff were great and when our food came out terrible or wrong they were able to try and accommodate us but for 4.95 premium WiFi you are SOL.

Amazing stay here. Heated lapping pool is a gem. Staff is friendly from reception to bar and house keeping. Room is clean. Special shoutout to Kiko at the bar. Youre the best.One observation. There is a whiff of trash by the elevator leading up to the Cassara floors. Not that terrible but its there. The same elevator goes to the garage as well where there were trash bins nearby. Hopefully they will do something about that.

This hotel is located in a very nice location Carlsbad, right next to the flower field and Legoland. For me I spent nearly $400 for the night.The one great thing would be the customer service. All the staff I talked to was very friendly and nice. I just say they are top notch.Nice pools with views, fire place, and kids friendly pool and play area.The room was clean and neat. Although, one part of the carpet was wet, even the next day and that was little gross. Especially it was in the center of the room.The room Amenity was OK. Mini fridge, lock, nice huge TV, but they cheap out on the shampoos. Very disappointed for the price we paid for the night.The disposable plastic cup has some trash inside so clearly the housekeeping is not doing a good job.If the hotel was somewhat in the 200 range, this is definitely a 4-5 star.The specific experience I had at the hotel and the price, overall is a 2 star for me. Will comeback for some vacation in the future if the price is right.

Pretty nice hotel. We were there for the timeshare sell. They have motion detectors in the bathroom that turn on the lights in the bath. If you get up to go to the bathroom, it wakes up whoever else is in the room with you. I didnt enjoy that part of it.

Excellent staff. Excellent facilities. Excellent location - was able to walk across to Legoland without jumping through parking delays/lines. The landscape at this resort helped provide a getaway - with the patio door open, could enjoy the sweet blooms within my whole room. The lobby bar and restaurant serves solid drinks and great food. There are great firepits on the patio. I would definitely stay here again, solo or with my two teenagers in tow.

Love this hotel Brittany at the front desk is so friendly and helpful. She’s absolutely amazing greet you with a warm smile and answer any questions that you have we are absolutely enjoying our stay here at the Cassara close to the beach. They also provide you with shuttle service within a 5 mile radius, so many things to do Legoland the aquarium so many so many things there’s a number of restaurants attractions all within walking distance the property is well kept there’s a splash pad for kids and a lap pool with a huge hot tub absolute beautiful view I would definitely recommend this place and we will be coming back and again I want to say thank you so much to Britney. She’s an absolute delight.

This is a 2-3 star hotel trying to act like a 4 star hotel or resort and it just isn’t. The photos online are misleading. There are 2 fire pits in an area probably the size of your home patio and no other outdoor seating so you’ll probably not get to sit down outside. Rooms are small, like a motel room. Yes, I said motel. It is very easy to get from garage to rooms. There is nothing great about this place except if you have kids, there is a splash pad at the site next door you can get a key to. Bar drinks are $20 each, not worth it in my opinion because of motel comment above. We didn’t spend any time there except for a few hours one day, so if you just need a place to sleep and not a lot of space, this would work, hope you get a good rate though! Location is good driving distance to everything as are most hotels around there, it is not walkable at all to anywhere. I would put this place at the bottom of hotels/airbnbs we’ve stayed at previously. It was clean though. Oh, sink is inside the bathroom/shower area, prob because it’s small. I like to know that ahead of time so I can gauge how long it’s going to take for everyone to get ready. Hope that helps!

The team here is on top of things! Check in is easy and rooms are well kept. Close to Legoland and the 5 freeway. The pool and other amenities are wonderful for kids. Breakfast in the lobby has great food but can get busy. Easy parking and friendly staff.

Extremely poor customer service and room quality. Photos are deceiving and view sucks. Hilton Diamond member no upgrades and terrible service. Good location to Lego land but that’s where it stops.Issue with our bathroom door went unresolved for 4+ hours. It took 3 trips to the front desk to get an engineer up. By that time I had enough and cancelled my reservation. The only good part was the hassle free cancellation (thanks Ian). Extremely disappointing being a Hilton Diamond member and having this experience. Will be thinking twice before staying at a Hilton property again.

Ok. This is for sure not a 4 stars hotel. Come on! Who gave this hotel 4 stars?The room we checked in has hair on the wall of the bathroom, this for me is an unclean room. And definitely not suppose to happen with a 4 stars! Hello! You guys are 4 stars not cheap inn, you cost $400+ a night! Do better! Make my money worth. We called the front desk, the lady told me house keeping us off already, so we can get someone to come tomorrow… are you kidding me? I am not staying in a room that apparently is not clean properly. Then after waiting on like 20 mins hold, they were able to get us another room. However, this kind of minor mistake is not suppose to happen anyway in a 4 stars hotel. Restaurant does not have many choices and wait time was long, I mean there were not a lot of people but the wait time is forever. Location said it is close and have a path way to Lego land, I would prefer it is more closer.Oh and! Why I think this hotel deserve one star only is because I can heard people upstairs and outside hallway with no issue at all. I hear them walking, taking, arguing and yelling. Therefore, I would say this is worse than any 2 stars inn off the highway, they are way better since I hear no one upstairs or outside.Hotel is old and it needs to be remodel to wroth as a 4 stars hotel.Amenities are old and not pretty at all. Pictures on website are very photoshop.It does not look like website when you visit.

Stayed here for 5 days and it was an excellent and very relaxing place to stay. It’s close to Lego land and Costco, and other nice restaurants as well. The room was spacious and clean (I reserved two queen beds). The manager, Miguel, was very nice, friendly, professional and extremely helpful; he knows a lot about the area too and can give some good recommendations. For morning coffee and breakfast, John was always there helping and serving us and other guests; he was very good, fast with excellent service, and went above and beyond. There are a lot of amenities like their main pool, family kids pool, gym, activity room and some small arcade room for the kids. Overall, great place to stay and awesome friendly professionals working there.

We had the parking lot view but when we turned on the ac it smelled like paint because they were still working on the new check in. Do not get a premium room at the Cassera tapastry hotel. There are no extra benefits like you get at the Hilton embassy in la Jolla. There I got free daily snacks. Breakfast is really expensive and not free. Flatbread tasted terrible. Room was really far for a disabled family member. Should be closer to front desk. Room service was bad. Tried the room service button and was told to call a different number which was busy. Pillows felt flat and uncomfortable bed was too firm. Staff is very friendly whenever I interacted with them which is a big plus for me. This visit did not feel as good as previous visits with Hilton hotels premium rooms.

The good first: front staff is friendly, the bartender was just awesome!!!! The bad: you can hear the upstairs people walking around, opening their drawers, muffled talking AND the hallway sounds. We had a room on the The Garden side.... well we were welcomed by a loud concert Saturday night at 2130 and a 0630 sunrise service band. We were given this via the Hilton Vacation preview offer so it was cheap for us HOWEVER we were expecting a suite as we were traveling with two small children..... so it was not a nice vacation with the four of us in their small double queen room. I was told I could upgrade via the hotel, pay the extra fee. The Hilton Honors app stated rooms were available for our entire stay but the staff lied and said none available. We wont be staying here again. The property itself is nice and clean but our carpet was sticky and dirty (picture was from 15 mins after walking around putting stuff away) and the noise issue makes it a hard pass.

Customer service not that good. By chance I got my itinerary and breakfast vouchers. Luckily I had a problem so another rep got them for me. I got my room early like 1pm but half the floor was wet. They said they will call me when they have a room. That never happened 420pm I ask them if they had a room. Yes the same room I had now it has a some oily stuff on it and its wet. So wearing my shoes in my room. This place has nothing special even the pool is a tiny fenced in area.Edit: OK Leslie texted me to figure the issue out. That right there pushed my rating up. She admitted the handling of the situation could have been better. That rest assured the room was still drying from cleaning. A few towels on the floor isnt going to kill me. The damp area isnt half the room anymore. I appreciate them contacting me. Im staying a week ill update then.

Great hotel for a romantic couples stay or family get away. Lego land is a 3 min walk from the front door. The hotel is NOT on the beach but has great ocean views.Pros: well kept and sophisticated look, lap swim pool, two hot tubs, views of the ocean, kids pool and splash pad. Kids activity center, arcade (pool table, foosball, ping pong and air hockey) secure parking underground, friendly staff, good WiFi.Cons: no microwave in rooms, foosball table is worn out and need repair. We could hear people in the room above ours.I took two of my kids here 14 and 5 year old in June 2023. (This is two hotels with one main lobby) We had a starboard double queen room. It was roomy and nice very happy with the room and small private patio. The rest of the hotel is modern and fancy. The m as in pool and hot tub and outstanding with a clear view of the ocean from everywhere. The kids pool off on the other hotel’s side. It is large with a hot tub and splash pad 70 people there when we arrived it their was plenty of room. We walked to Lego land from the hotel. It’s an easy 3 min walk and saved on parking fees. Lots more I could say about this hotel, it’s all positive. I would stay again.

Drove 3.5 hours from Los Angeles to basically a $450/night Motel 6. Front desk staff was nice, but there is nothing at this hotel to justify the price. Karl Strauss next door is garbage, they dont have much food options onsite. Pool is freezing cold and kids play area isnt even part of this hotel its the connecting hotels. Also, they have kids activities which are basically gift bags you have to buy and they just hand it to you to do on your own. Please if you have a family, do yourself a favor and avoid this one.To the management and Hilton GM of this location. COVID is over guys. Up your game and your experience. Increase your on-site amenities. So simple, but set up valet parking and have a doorman take peoples bags. Remember its $450/night...Im not here to self-park at this rate.

I stayed here with my two girls this past weekend but for almost $900 out the door, it wasnt worth it. The staff were helpful and rooms were clean but we where charged an extra $50 in parking & $40 in resort fees. Really the most disappointing part was the continental breakfast that we paid extra for. It was literally a stale pastry and cup of coffee or juice. I expected a little more, yogurt, fruit & etc. Also, there was only one staff member trying to keep up with everyone coffee orders. This was one of the main reasons we stayed there was to have a quick simple breakfast before going to Legoland.

Great property. The rooms are comfy and the views are nice! Really love this property, the bar tenders could use some brush up courses on how to make drinks and housekeeping should not keep the guests room doors open. We were gone for 9.5hrs and dont know how long it was open, so far nothing we know of is missing.

Great experience at this hotel!! Exceptional customer service from Steve and Colton. They went above and beyond to make our anniversary special. We booked last minute with Colton and we’re surprised to find our room decorated and a bottle of champagne waiting for us. Steve was very helpful at our check in and throughout our stay. It was neat to find out later that he decorated our room. Star employee for sure. Thank you so much!

My Experience at this hotel was nothing short of amazing! Me and my lady enjoy touring our local hotels from time to time for special occasions and decided to give this one a go! The front desk lady who had helped me was very welcoming and helpful and truly made me feel welcomed! Our room was pretty solid as well! Bed was cozy, bathroom was nice and most important everything was very clean! we got the 3rd floor with the a view mainly facing the costco area but was still beautiful with the balcony! You dont need to be too picky with your view as you can just walk down stairs to the pool area and enjoy the views! The one thing I really enjoyed was the downstairs area! There are many places with fire pits in the hotel and they even start them early in the day! On our day of check out we got coffee and enjoyed the sunrise while sitting around the firepit with that stellar view! In all it was a very enjoyable stay, the bartender was cool and made really good drinks and the hospitality was very good! I will def be back again!

Front desk personnel did not immediately acknowledge our arrival even when there were 3 of them just chatting and we are the only people in front of them. We arrived at past 3PM expecting that our room would be ready but were told to wait for their call. It took more than 30 minutes until they told us our room is available. This is not to mention that I have a Diamond level status which were not even acknowledged at this hotel. No offer of room upgrade, no free breakfast, no offer of bottled water nor points. And parking is not even free. Around 7PM, I went back to the front desk to request for a 2PM late check out next day but I was told to return back to the front desk at 6AM with a condescending tone. Went back to the front desk at 6AM as instructed only to be denied and no alternative offered other than being told that they are fully booked. On a positive note, the hotel is clean which should be base standard especially for a 4 star hotel. I expected this to be a memorable birthday celebration for myself but it gave us a not so good experience. Definitely not returning back to this property and now rethinking my future relationship with the Hilton brand.

Definitely would never come here again as just a couple. LOTS of kids. Which is totally ok and not reflective of the 3 star review. The room was nice enough but not impressive. Also as a diamond member supposed to get a room upgrade but was not offered.The bad- handed key card to our room with no explanation to where to go. The resort is really confusing. We went back twice and the front desk was horrible at explaining where to go. Randomly floor two also has 12s and 22s on the same floor which you’d never know and there is no signage.The breakfast was underwhelming as well. Took a picture of the panini which was two pieces of toast, cheap ham, wet eggs and a square cheese melted on top. Coffee wasn’t great either.I’m picky because of staying at so many Hilton properties so a family wanting to stay near Legoland or sea world may have a much better experience because of the great location.The main pool is a little goofy too with it all sectioned off for lap swimming. Usually at a resort lap swimming isn’t a priority. This place needs to take notes from the Hilton los Cabos.Yes location is key, but then you need great customer service, a nice breakfast and coffee, and resort pools that make sense.

I have owned at Grand P and have been pretty happy. Our visit this time was just ok; elevator was down which is no big deal but several staff saw us waiting for it and didn’t bother to tell us it was out. We gave the staff a few days off from cleaning our room and when they came in on the 4th day; no TP was replaced, kitchen towels didn’t get replaced, conditioner bottle has been broken since day one and tv is needing pin to see certain channels. Front desk has always been great. Grounds are beautiful along with the views.

As a Hilton Honors Diamond member, Im usually greeted with the utmost welcome. This was not the case at The Cassara. Ive stayed at Hiltons all over the country and 2 internationally, and my experience was just okay at The Cassara. I did not feel the experience or food was worth the price whatsoever. I would have expected this kind of experience at a Hilton Homewood Suites-not a property of the Tapestry Collection, which is supposed to be more upscale, just below their Curio Collection. I did not feel the value and experience was worth the price at all. I probably will not return to this property the next time Im in Carlsbad.

We stayed in the hotel last week to take the kids to legoland and everything since the checkin was wrong. They took 40 minutes at 9 00 pm to give us the 2 rooms we booked because they said they were full and they didn’t have queen beds or rollaway beds so my 3 kids slept on a queen bed and we slept with the infant. Complete disaster.First time in my life that a hotel doesn’t have cribs or rollaway beds or any other room available. We booked this reservation 2 months ago.The next night they made us move at 1 pm because the room they gave us what not available anymore. So imagine leaving legoland on the middle of the day with 3 kids plus an infant to move your stuff in the hotel. This was just unacceptable.Customer service on this hotel was so poor and the lack of humanity and professionalism was so absent that this experience was horrible. We will never stay in this hotel ever again and I would not recommend it for families!

Im disappointed in Hilton Grand Vacations / this hotel. I had arranged a travel package where I would attend a sales tour in the middle of this trip in exchange for a large amount of Hilton points. I mistakenly over-scheduled myself during this sales tour and missed the tour (it also would have been nice if I had received a reminder within a couple days of the tour). When I asked the hotel about making up the tour, they referred me to the Grand Vacations customer service, who told me they would call me back in a couple of days. After a week went by I called them, only to have them say its not possible to make this up after checking out! Im very disappointed in the lack of transparency around making up the sales tour. I have no intention of booking a Hilton hotel again anytime soon

Overall we had a great stay here. The room was nice and clean. The bed is very comfortable. Pools are great. Staff was helpful. We stayed in room 2241, missing a couch, with quite a number of small bathroom/powder room issues. Not a deal breaker but really could be a better experience with some improvements in the future.Also, note there is $24 parking and $20 resort fee per day. The nice thing is that the hotel will give you $20 credit each day to use in its bar.Pros:1) Great location: only 8 min walk to Legoland.2) Helpful staff: The front desk is nice who helped us change out of a noisy room. The cleaning crew did a fantastic job in keeping the rooms clean. Met our specially requests such as getting microwave and blanks.3) Great swimming pool and hot tub: big size. water is clean and warm.4) Beautiful view: balcony facing ocean and flower field. Would be even better in spring when the flower field opens (we visited in winter so no flowers)Cons:1) Bathroom/Powder room #1: horrible design of the draining for shower. There is big gap between shower curtain and ground. The floor outside flooded each time after shower. We had to put couple of towels on ground to soak the water.2) Plumbing issue #2: the ADA shower head holder was loose. The shower head fell down to ground and almost hit my feet. Quite a safety issue. I called the front desk to fix this but they only put it back very loose. This could hurt next guest. So check it out if you are staying in room 2241.3) Bathroom/Powder room issue #3: sink in powder room clogged upon check-in. I was surprised this was not caught during cleaning. Good thing is that the plumber was able to fix it within two hours.4) Bathroom/Powder room issue #4: the sink in powder room was too flat. So anything dirty would easily get stuck.5) No couch in living room: we booked the ADA room “1KG 2TWN 2RM STE PATIO/BLCNY MOBILITY ACC RIS”. The official website shows there is a big couch sitting three people but we did not have one. It was quite inconvenient for our families of five people because we did not have enough chairs to sit. The front desk did not know why we did not get the couch. He said he would check with GM but never got back to us. So think twice or call hotel to check if you want to book this type of room. Stay away from these two rooms if you care for a couch: room 2241(the one I stay without couch) or room 3241 (this is the same type of room without couch, heavy low frequency vibration noise from ceiling) .

We reserved a night, and decided at checkin to request a second night. He moved our room so that we wouldn’t have to move rooms, since our original room wasn’t available for our second night. In the morning I was prompted to checkout (!). So I inquired. I was told by the front desk that I all I had a third party reservation and it had been canceled. When in-fact I reserved the first night through the Hilton app, and the second night I walked in and booked at the hotel during checkin. Very disappointed to suddenly be asked to leave. The front desk argued with me that this wasn’t a problem because I hadn’t paid. I was never given a receipt, so when they asked us to leave, we requested a late checkout, to handle the surprise. They gave us a few extra minutes, the maid came early, and the front desk threatened to charge us $79 if we took too long gathering our things.The hotel was nice enough, that I would have loved to stay another night. The pool was nice for the kids. It is heated but not warm enough for a night swim in November. Perfect for a day swim. Too bad we didn’t get to stay another night for it.The two bedroom is not two bedrooms (or a lock out). It’s a small hotel room with one bedroom. The only bedroom is for the twin beds. The balcony was noisy with a peep of the ocean. The flower fields were just dirt (since it’s not in season). The restaurant next door was delicious and we’d go there again.I’m not sure if the room was requested by someone important or what. But long story short, we didn’t stay. a happy birthday weekend got cut short and we left a day early. A lot of confusion and a bucket of sadness. I didn’t like this experience, and no grace on checking out because of staff confusion.

My clients stayed here during a coaching retreat I led. In the lobby, where we spent our time relaxing, Scott at the bar went out of our way for us and our children. He got apple juice for a little one, he fulfilled every request. We enjoyed the cocktails and food.The pool maintenance man was quick to respond to repair the kids splash pad by the pool. The towels were well stocked. The grounds were impeccably kept. Very nice service from both hotel counters. Will return and recommend clients to enjoy their stays at this hotel.

The parking lot is clean and the hotel smell great when we first arrived. Its in a great location, close to Legoland, the outlet, and the beach. Nice pool, and views.However, we have had negative experiences with the ROOM itself, mold smell, and unclean room.1. When I turn on the AC, theres a strong MOLD/ Dusty smell coming out of the air. It smells really bad, I have a 15month old baby and Im pregnant, my baby starts coughing and I feel uncomfortable after the dusty smell comes out. I turned it off immediately, and try to turn it back on at midnight but the smell was still there. So I keep the AC off since then. but I didnt sleep well because the AC is not working.2. I can tell the room is remolded, nice design and new trend furniture. But the carpet is dirty and sticky. My feet feel itch and have some small red spots when I walk on them barefoot. My son runs on the carpet and his socks turn dusty after 10mins. I saw he picked up some nails from the carpet and some food that might left by someone else.Weve been to almost 10 hotels in the past years, but never had this kind of situation.3. The bed is comfortable but I found little small black dots( not sure if its mold) in the pillowcase. Cant sleep well at night and worry about the cleanness of this bedding stuff all night.4. The toilet is not well-cleaned and has some dust on the surface. I have to wipe it out and disinfected it since I dont know what is the thing!Overall, the hotel is great, but the room is not clean at all.

What a disappointment this “4-star” hotel ended Up being. Booked the biggest suite with patio for three nights at a cost of over $1500 and ended up with no patio or balcony just a sliding door that opened to a gate against the wall. The check in was trash, poor communication. Drove 4 hours, arrived a little early about 3:45 pm and inquired about early check in. Sorry room not ready. Give us a bit. Okay, check again at 4:15, 4:30, 4:45 wth. Still no. Another guest in the lobby also complained about waiting so long even tho we’re paying a lot for this place. Set expectations if you make guest wait that long! “Sorry it’ll be over an hour” so we aren’t sitting around wasting time. Don’t say oh give us a bit. Anyway finally get to our room. The bathroom door doesn’t latch shut, (pocket door design), the toilet paper holder falls off the wall at the slightest touch (the set screw wasn’t even close to being tightened which I did myself), the cabinet the refrigerator is in isn’t the right size for it so the fridge door hits the cabinet as you open and close it. The couch in the sitting area had a giant stain on it, and the tissue holder on the counter was empty. Also the elevator near our room jerks a lot and is super slow. Anyway that’s all the negative which earned this a 2 star review. I rarely ever do 2 star reviews. Check my profile you’ll see. I have to be really upset to go this low. The positives are the location and the size of room and having separate bedroom with two beds for the kids. And the restaurant was pretty good (Karl Strauss). Oh and they supposedly gave me a discount on parking rate for the late check in. That’s what kept this from being a 1-star review.

I called the hotel at 8:40am on the morning of check-in asking if there was any availability for an early check-in as a Diamond member to which no guarantees were made (which was fine), but I was told I would be put on a list and called when my room was ready. After killing a lot of time and returning to the desk at 4pm we were told our room still wasn’t ready and finally told they were short-staffed and it would be even longer. I wasn’t called until 5:47pm to let me know our room was finally ready. In fairness, the room was clean and beds were quite comfortable.For our inconvenience we were offered drink vouchers for the bar (that we never used because we were on a family trip with small children), and told our parking fee would be removed (only to find out it was only reduced and we were still charged half).With no restaurant onsite and a marketplace that was totally picked over, any $ credits offered are just lip service unless you want to drink at the bar.Lastly, I would hardly consider the walk on a main roadway to an outer gate into the LEGO Land parking lot a “private pedestrian entrance”, as advertised.

I tried calling the front desk but the room phone didnt work - it only worked using the Speaker function, not very intuitive.Our breakfast order took over 40 minutes on our first morning - and it was not peak season or a weekend. Give the morning kitchen cook some help!

Our room was not ready until 5:00 pm!!! We are Diamond members and we’re told ‘even the manager had to come in to work on a Monday!’ Once in the room the safe had no working parts and the refrigerator was frozen and had to be replaced. We went to the lobby for a non existent breakfast of only coffee and pastries.. When we asked if they had a plate for the pastries we were told no. The bar tables were filthy with food and drink spills. When we ask for a rag to clean a table we were told there weren’t any and offered a baby wipe to clean it ourselves. The front staff was just standing at the desks and could have at least cleaned the tables. And why didn’t the bar staff clean them at night We were told the marketplace is never stocked by the resort hotel. There isn’t a breakfast associated with being a Diamond member, no upgrades, no water, no Hilton benefits at all. We were also told there are no upgrades at the Tapestry for Diamond members if you booked the room on points, we have never been told this at other Tapestry hotels. The rooms are clean and the hotel is an easy walk to Legoland, but what makes this a Hilton property is beyond me. This hotel is grossly understaffed.

Been here a couple times now and was able to book the Corner Suite for the holiday weekend. The rooms are nice and clean and the view for this room is great.We did have a tiny hiccup when we were checking in which was very slightly delayed but no matter how small the mistake was the amazing hotel staff treated it with the utmost of importance. All of the staff were amazing but I want to give a special shout out to Rey and Ronaldo specifically. You both truly made my families experience here great. I want to let you both know again how much I appreciated the things you did for us and the attention you gave.The facilities are great as well. An amazing place for families with a water attraction for the kids near the pool, an arcade, and an activity room for the kids as well. Its right across from Legoland and a short drive away from shopping and restaurants.Again I want to say how amazing the staff is and how friendly everyone has been. Recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area 100%.

We stayed in a suite at Cassara and it was not enjoyable. My daughter dropped a piece of pear on the floor. When i wiped it with a washclosh, the ground was so dirty, ive attached a picture of the cloth. Dont expect an earlier check-in; It wasnt ready until exactly 4. They gave us a late checkout of noon which we thought was helpful because my daughter naps at 11. However, they will bug you about it. At 10:50am, they call our suite. At 11am housekeeping comes in even though i have our privacy sign up. Other than this, the grounds are nice and its a beautiful hotel.

Im sure your experience will be better than mine and the end of my trip was good but the beginning was a rough one. We had the thermostat go out om day one and it was broken the rest of the first day and second day. As you might be able to imagine in the summer with kids and no air and nothing they can do it was a bad night. If I was staying a week it might have been fine but night to and day 3 we all sleep and made the vacation with the kids a bit of a loss when it came to taking them to lego land for only 2 hours day 2 because of how tiered they were.

Great hotel, easy access, easy parking. Nice views of the ocean and the flowers (when theyre in season). Only weird thing is the pool. Maybe it was the time of year in late September, but the pool was set up with lanes and there were a bunch of retired folks swimming laps. Not really a family-friendly pool. I recently stayed at the Cassara as part of family trip to the Legoland, staying in a corner suite.The $25/night parking charge is gratuitous, especially for a spot in what is essentially the parking lot for the Karl Strauss brewery. I’ve no idea what the resort fee is for, aside from perhaps a swimming pool.The breakfast was the most expensive disappointment of all, fabulously overpriced items at $15-$20 each, poorly cooked and served in plastic boxes. There is also little to no maintenance of the eating areas with no cleans surfaces during each meal time.

I stayed there 2 nights on 8/24 and 8/25. Raymundo, the night manager, and I believe the gentleman at the front desk was James were amazing. They were very attentive and ensure I had an amazing stay. They accommodated the private hot tub for me because the main hot tub was occupied. They genuinely greeted and had great conversations. Very professional and made me feel important like I was the only one there. Thank you to all the staff, especially Raymundo and James. I apologize if it’s not James.

Lobby bar closes (as does everything else) at 9PM. Some lite food options on selected days via the bar, other than that there is a (good) chain restaurant across the parking lot. Out of toiletries? Forget refills. Promised repeatedly, not delivered. Need more towels? Grab em off a housekeeping cart. (BTW, in-stay housekeeping is not an option despite what the signs say. Pros: The staff were friendly, helpful, and polite! The location was close to several beaches, I5, and small towns along the PCH. San Diego airport is only 30 minutes away. It would have been nice to relax in/by the water without constant high pitch screaming and being hit with toys. 7/4 I watched a family move half of the available seating to a corner leaving many people with only wet cement to sit on. Could the hot tub be adults only? Could half the pool be adults only instead of swim lanes? Would it be possible to make the first and last 2 hours at the pool truly adult only? Could staff intervene when a family is taking half the seating?No good food options. Bar with drinks and food is open 4-9 pm. No breakfast, even though complimentary breakfast is advertised. You will need a car or use a delivery service if you want to eat while staying here. No turn down service or cleaning due to COVID. You have to pay for daily parking. Diamond members arent given priority for room upgrades when the hotel is booked completely (even though that is an advertised perk), but we were happy with our rooms location.Overall, not worth $1400 for a 4 night stay. I think the pricing should be adjusted based off the perks and amenities that arent available any longer. I could have had the same experience at an $80/night hotel, and not paid for parking and received breakfast.

The property itself is quite beautiful, the grounds, the pool and spa area, the decor and the view, and the location is terrific. Perhaps if we had opted for a slightly more upscale room (i.e., more expensive) I might have given the hotel a fifth star. Unfortunately, our stay was hampered by a few singularly minor inconveniences but combined, they added up to be annoying; coffee maker was broken, ice machine out of order, shower switcher didnt work properly so water gushed out the bathtub faucet instead of through the shower head, and the cable TV was not properly programmed/hooked up so we had to scroll through hundreds of channels to guess what we were watching.

Can even pre book a smaller jacuzzi for an hour for privacy. The dresser covers are peeling and the patio door frame is really dirty like no one ever cleaned it. Maybe its covid adjustment too that theres only one person in the front desk. When we checked in cassara put a 300 hold on my card for incidentals, ok standard. Then our shower didnt work, they couldnt switch our room till the next day but we drove for 14 hrs and needed a shower, it was 930 at night and we found previous tenants garbage in our room. They removed the garbage and had maintenance fix the shower. No problem there but when we went to check out they lost the original incidentals charge and had to do a new one to charge us for the charges we made to the room. And a parking fee, at their own hotel, seriously, but I belive they reversed this (only good thing to come from this I guess). Its been 2 weeks and the lost hold is still on my card and they are telling me there is nothing they can do for me. Great customer service....why would I ever choose to stay at a Hilton property?

Main thing that ruined our weekend is the stuff, check in person didn’t provide any information how to find a room so we ended up searching and asking people and it took 20 min. When we got to the room, it was dirty (hair in bathroom and ear swabs around bed, you could clearly see that room was not vacuumed, and sheets had yellow stains on it🤮.) so will have to give them a 1 out of 5. When we asked the young man at the reception to help us out with cleaning the room, it took him 50 minutes to come to our room and only to take pictures, he vacuumed room again later on but they forgot about the sheets. The only one reason this is not 1 stars but 3 is because of the manager that checked me out the next day, she was really polite and understanding.

Apparently Hilton doesnt own the entire property. (only the B bldg) Hiltons side overlooks nothing - literally. We stayed on the first floor in adjoining rooms. All the balconies are covered completely from top to bottom by the landscaping directly sitting against the bldg blocking out all light and are home to a host of insects. It really is unbelievable. The adults pool was full of kids the entire time we were there. From the lobby to the overall cleanliness, I was truly surprised & underwhelmed. Bottom line, there is no part of this hotel (Hiltons side) that is worth more than 25,000 Hilton Honor points per night.

A great experience. This was my first Tapestry, if you follow my reviews you know I stay at Hiltons exclusively. I am impressed with this brand new reconstruction.The staff were welcoming and overflowing with great tips, coupons and friendly conversation. I got to take a tour of the property.Took the shuttle to Carlsbad village and watched the sunset on the seawall. Randy stopped at a 7-11 for us on the way back. Great service.This resort is huge. Perfect for families visiting Legoland. With a mini water park, activity center, arcade, AND and playset this hotel is one for all ages.Adult pool(24 hours and, overlooking the ocean and flower fields.) kid pool and family pool makes for the perfect family vacation.Parking was $22/day.On site restaurant was fancy. With expensive drinks. The atmosphere was perfectly romantic for the two of us and Johnathan was so sweet and helpful.So much more to review about this hotel!

Has a parking garage with elevator that takes you straight to lobby and your floor. The check-in process was quick. Common spaces looked clean. Room and bathroom were clean, as well. It was pretty quiet the couple nights we were there.. My only dislike was the comfort of the bed. I woke up with a sore back. Also, the bathroom fan was not working. Overall, a good place to stay at. Easy access to and from the freeway, too.

Disappointing start. The floors were dirty and needed vacuuming. The cold water did not work. Sink didnt drain properly. Staff moved us to a better room the next day. It was much nicer but the floor had crumbs and a wrapper on the floor. Do they really clean and sanitize as the sticker across the door states? We thoroughly sanitized ourselves. They wouldnt vacuum once we were in the room because staff cant enter the rooms due to Covid19. They offered to give us the vacuum to do it ourselves. Really! The decor was nice the location was next to flower fields and Leggoland. Hopefully they will get their act together. It has potential and is reasonably priced at under $115 per night. The parking is $24.00 per night.

I appreciated the cleanliness of the room and did not mind not having daily housekeeping. Hand sanitizers were located in the elevators and lobby. Downsides to our stay: guestroom doors do not completely shut unless you push/pull it closed; not enough options to hang bath towels; inadequate information in room and on HHonors app about the fitness center location and hours. We knew food would not be available and there are plenty of restaurant options nearby. We would stay here again.

The location is perfect for families wanting to visit Legoland and minimize driving. The hotel itself is lacking a few things I never thought about until it isn’t there. A microwave for warming up the evening tea, a kids snack or cold coffee because as moms we don’t get hot coffee long. A lock on the bathroom door, that was a big woah moment.We went on busy spring break time and checkin was rough, service wasn’t great but towards end of trip it did get better. Stay here for the beautiful views but realize perhaps money could be saved and better service could be found with a locking bathroom door down the road a bit.

My favorite place I’ve ever stayed in Carlsbad. Not only 5 min walking distance to Legoland but was very clean, staff was very eager to help and great restaurant on the property. Okay, so I cannot say enough good things about this place! Im a month late posting the review, but I havent stopped thinking about our trip here in early June and how amazing our stay was. First off, the grounds are absolutely beautiful and well maintained. Directly across the street from Legoland. Close enough to walk, but they also have a shuttle to and from the hotel. Just let them know the night before. Splash pad and kids pool area were a blast. They also have tons of activities for the kids. 3 different ones per day. We did the rootbeer float bar. So much fun! Secondly, the room was updated and very plush. Comfortable bed. TV with plenty of channels. Only downfall of the room, was the lack of view. Literally my only complaint about this place. Everything else was very enjoyable. And Finally, I cannot say enough about the staff here. They went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make my sons bday extra special. Kamilla and Shaun (who I believe is the manager) went out of their way for us, literally, to surprise my baby for his bday. My best friend found out where we were staying (via my Instagram stories) and called Nothing Bundt Cakes to have a cake delivered to the hotel to surprise my son for his 7th bday. Only problem was it was past the cut off time for delivery. Not only did they both assist her in getting the cake ordered, Kamilla actually drove to the store to pick up the cake and balloons and bring back to the hotel. The 3 of them were plotting and scheming behind my back to plan this wonderful surprise and boy did they surprise us! Shortly after coming back from the pool we get a knock on the door, it was Shaun with a beautiful cake and balloons. My son was so blown away and excited. Made his entire trip that much more special. I havent stopped raving about this hotel ever since. Im sending all my friends and family there on their Carlsbad/Legoland trips. Heck Ive even bragged about it in my Moms groups on Facebook. 😆 Stay here. You wont be disappointed!! Thanks again Kamilla and Shaun. Booking was misleading. I came to stay with my 7yr old daughter, just the two of us. NO room service or really any food options that didnt require work. When at the kids pool in order to feed her we had to dry off, order food online and I had to take her with me to walk all the way to Karl Strauss to pick up food. Because we could not order delivery poolside we had to disrupt her play in order to get her food. Then there was also ZERO Hilton support at the pool, so a group of teens were at the pool playing football in the water and throwing the hard ball across the entire pool, it was very dangerous and no one wanted to say anything because we did not want an altercation, again I was alone with my daughter. The TV in the room did not have access to any movies, streaming services, just basic cable, the time on the TV wasnt even correct so all the shows were off and not really age appropriate. The floor in the bathroom was always damp and sticky, the toilet didnt flush properly. The room when i got there was only partially set up, I had one coffee pod, no water and 2 towels. The only Nice thing was a toy left for my daughter in the room because I mentioned her 7th birthday at booking so at least she loved that but the hotel itself was work for me. We had to basically travel every time we wanted to eat, the lines in the lobby for the bar and ordering were like being at legoland. I wish when I booked the hotel someone would have told me about the limited options and accommodations so I could have booked elsewhere or been prepared with brining my own food and snacks. When I asked about breakfast i was told we have granola bars in the shop, really? You tell my 7yr old to eat a granola bar for breakfast. I spent a lot of money for what I feel was not a resort type hotel that I thought I was booking.

We like the views and the location, but my wife and I came for our 10th anniversary and we’re excited to relax in the hot tub and chill out on the porch.After we booked the room, the Hilton app told us that the hot tub was closed. We were disappointed but couldn’t really do anything about it and just decided not to pack our bathing suits. When we walked around the hotel in the morning, we found that the hot tub WAS open, and the app was incorrect. Then we went back to the room to chill on the porch before we left. The resorts map is outdated, they told us we had a room in the 300 section and map didnt show said room or floor with rooms starting with 300.As a resort, someone would expect a bell hop service and this place doesnt have it or room service.Last night we got a weird man come to the room saying he was security, broken english, hard to understand and made me feel unsafe until the manager came by.Rooms are clean but the balcony smells like it hasnt been clean, room had a stuffy smell to it.I would suggest to add fregrance to the rooms, update the resort map, have bell hops at least and have proper signs for floor levels.Also, website says we have private access to legoland which we do not, nor do they have signs indicating location of park. Of course we can look it up, but most parents dont have the time.Pool towels were hard to locate, poolside bar/beverage area would be a great amenity.

Nice new addition to the Hilton portfolio that was still undergoing an expansion during my visit. Great hotel for business or leisure traveler with lots of local food options nearby. The biggest complaints would be the odd hours for the food service of the lobby cafe (12-8pm, drinks until 11?) and the rather limited breakfast offered at the adjacent Karl Strauss, which is free for higher tier Hilton members but seems a little steep at $17/adult -- these are things I imagine will be smoothed out as the hotel expansion is complete and logistics get worked out. Heated pools and other onsite amenities are on the Palisade resort side but are available to Hilton guests, and are a nice touch when you dont want to go anywhere. Would love to see the lobby cafe operate as a coffee shop in the morning, unless I simply didnt realize the option was available. Theres a daily $20 resort fee which mostly translates into a $20 credit for the lobby cafe, and the menu is very fairly priced for being an in-building cafe. Parking also is a little steep and theres not really a validation process in place yet. Looking forward to future visits!

This is a new hotel that shares the Lobby and amenities with the timeshare resort at the same address. As diamond member we received 2 complimentary breakfast each day at the restaurant Karl Strauss next door. Unlike some other Hiltons that only give cold breakfast and requires paid upgrade to hot breakfast, the free breakfast here is completely free and doesnt even charge taxes. It was a great stay, hotel staff is super nice and helpful. There are 2 pool and 1 play room for kids. Walking distance to Legoland.

Basically an empty parking lot and the side of the building with a miniscule partial ocean view. We promptly asked to be moved to the room that we ordered and we were told there was nothing they could do. Nothing! The acting manager didnt even offer an apology. The room was in poor shape as well. The furniture was falling apart and the balcony was very dirty! Actually every window we passed in this place was filthy! We booked for my wife birthday getaway, I wasnt too impressed with our room for the price, We got a suite and as you enter the 2 twin beds are located to a low window, as a protective parent didnt like that, I had to go sleep in one of the twin beds so that my daughter who was scared to sleep alone next to a window that leads to the outdoor hallway would feel more comfortable. The twin/king beds are not that comfortable either. Our view was just dirt, you could see the flower fields far. I also have seen on their instagram “stories” they greet you with a “goodie/snack” basket but there was nothing in the room, every hotel usually you find bottled water in the room as a welcome, but there was Nothing, I guess only “Influencers” on Instagram get those to promote the hotel. Even though I told them we were there for a special occasion, my wife birthday, they didn’t care. I guess they only care to make your stay special if you’re an “influencer”.The only nice thing was the pool and children’s area, that was the only thing we enjoyed of this stay. I dont think we will stay at the Cassara Carlsbad again. Very Disappointed.

Gave 4 stars because we found little wood trim nails, four of them, on the carpet in our room near the connecting room door. Luckily, my kids didnt step on any of them. Also, I had to call the front desk to get the free Wi-Fi information, which wasnt a big hassle or inconvenience, but that information could have been given to me when I checked in or included somewhere in the room, but it wasnt. Grounds looked magnificent against the backdrop of the Ocean, but the experience seemed on the level of an Anaheim Disneyland Cheap Hotel. 1. I developed huge eye bags from the Thundering sounds of Kid Running in the Hallway, either upstairs or outside my room, keeping me awake during my entire 3 nite stall. I didnt have the energy to go outside and ask them to quiet down. 2. The Front Desk Mgr was Rude, Authoritative, and seemed to lack care and consideration for a Disabled Elderly. She was more concerned that I hurry up to Check Out and move my car w/a Disabled placard from the Front Reception area. 3. The SalesForce conducting the Time Share Presentation were disingenuous and untruthful in their presentation.
