I like coming here for chill date nights or hanging out with a large group of friends. Fun, relaxed atmosphere, good drinks and the food trucks are usually pretty tasty. The pizza place they have here is really yummy too. Parking can be challenging when it’s busy. BEWARE: the neighboring businesses have a tow truck patrolling the side streets so pay attention to the signs and park in the designated parking lot for The Block, if you can. Otherwise, fun times!

Only been here once but loved it! Kid friendly, good pizza, hope to come back! Tried to go today (Sunday) at 11:50. Waited in car till 12 (when it said it was open on the sign) but then food wasnt open till 1/1:30… Would love better signage and also hours of operation. Want to enjoy more! ❤️

The block is a very cool food park / tap Room with a spacious open garden vibe. The bar has a good selection of~twenty beers (a few of which arent even IPAs - luxury)as well as a cocktail menu and selection of soft drinks. There are 2-3 food trucks here depending on day/time/mood of the operators. Theyre all pretty good but by far the best (the Greek) is also the last likely to be available frustratingly. The space is dog friendly and an excellent space to meet up with friends and kick back.

I loved the whole vibe of this place! They had a great band and great outdoor seating. We got the wood fired pizza and it was delicious! Their IPA menu is extensive and they offer other specialty drinks as well. Id highly recommend!

I was introduced to The Block when one of our business partners invited us to an after work get together to share a beer and talk a little business. Its a really laid back atmosphere where you can sit outside in the sun or around a fire pit, or sit inside by the bar. Either way, theres plenty of seating. You order your food at a counter outside, and you get some really good options! The bar offers a wide selection of some great beers including some of the best local brews. All and all, I like coming back with friends to enjoy a great time.

Ok, drinks, but worst service youll ever receive. There are literally 3 people walking around talking about how busy it is. Took 15 minutes for anyone to even take our order but heard them talking about how so crazy its so busy. Asked someone to tab out and he said ya, one minute ordered an Uber and then found out that in fact you had to wait in a line to tab out because theyre so mediocre they have 1 POS machine. Missed my Uber because theyre not just too cheap to have one machine but dishonest to tell me they are taking care of me. Save yourself some time and hate and go somewhere else. Honestly, this pace will not be open long, too many better places to go in the area.

Im a professional musician who recently had a gig at the Block. I was excited about my first time performing there. I arrived at 6:30pm, and there was NO space for artists to park. There were vehicles(other customers) parked at the concrete factory behind the venue, I had cars parked on both sides of me(obvious that other people had the same thought), but NO obvious outdoor signs near the parking area. I came back an hour later and my car was GONE! None of the other cars were missing...even though they were parked in same area. Inside the venue there were small little pamphlet near the bar that described the parking situation, but it was a futile attempt as I was outside in the patio and performing.It got towed, and cost me 600$ + my pay for the night, as well as created a super stressful experience. The bartenders told me to reach out to the owner who said they have been struggling to deal with the concrete factory next door... I asked him if others had been towed, and he said yes, and he would get them in contact with me...Then just completely flaked out on responding to me about the whole matter.Would not recommend any musicians perform here without clear agreements about parking...Very disappointing experience dealing with the owner, and I dont recommend this place.

I had my car parked right in front of the block this occurred in 2022 of last year. I went in only for about 15-20 minutes I come back my car was gone. It had gotten towed this was predatory towing. I had to pay $500 to get it back also the tow truck damaged the right side mirror of my car. This tow company who does this needs to be investigated and sued.

My criticism is not of the venue, it is of the management. We had a lovely time watching our friends’ band play and enjoying the festivities; but it is hard to not feel disdain toward the establishment when you leave and find your car (and many others) had their cars towed. The manager’s response was “we know, and we are fighting the city about it.” If you knew this was a common problem, you should have warned us! The venue was packed, and they knew people were parking in an adjacent lot that had no clear signage. Why couldn’t you look out for your patrons and put up a sign, a flyer at the entrance or just even make an announcement? We parked there because it appeared to be parking for the event. Many people had cars towed because the business didn’t bother to warn their guests. I can’t recommend going to a business that doesn’t care about its patrons and is okay with them getting towing fines of over $500.

I went to the Buck Lucky Festival to support a friends band and local music. It was very unclear where to park, and what appears to be a big open lot is where everyone was parking. The only “no parking”signs we saw were in front of driveways. Needless to say my and numerous others had their cars towed at a whopping $550.00 to get the car out. The neighbor “Dairyman’s Feed and Supply Co” is running a predatory towing scheme using Block patrons as its victims. Even Block employees have been effected. They literally have someone patrolling/camera watching in the evenings waiting to tow people in an unmarked area. To be clear - the Block didn’t tow me, their neighbor did.If you can’t Uber here or park in the Grocery Outlet across the street, STAY CLEAR.It’s a shame because I love everything about this place - but it’s not worth the hassle. I’ve got rent to pay.

Great gathering place for all ages. The rotation of different food trucks and events each week keeps the experience fresh, along with the extensive beer and wine list. I love the combination of indoor and outdoor seating, fire pits, and communal tables that really keep this place lively. That said, parking and seating can be scarce at popular times of day, so arrive early if youre coming with a group. The location is perfect - a short walk from downtown and the train station. We particularly enjoy their trivia nights, and its a great summertime venue for meeting up with friends.

Being a local, this is a frequented spot for a fun time. As soon as you walk in, you can grab a local, craft brew, and pick from what place you want to grab food. Ample seating with a great band stage, and a dance floor to cut a rug. Highly recommend!

The bar has good beer selection and cool space. This review is for the BBQ food truck Jackie Boys. Super weak. The bowls are so boring and have very little in them mostly just iceberg lettuce. The cole slaw is also super boring and $6 for a side of it. For the price they charge the food is not close to being worth it and not filling either.

My car was towed from here the night of June 2nd, 2023, just like many others were that night and like many many other people have been while visiting The Block over the past several YEARS, according to Petaluma police. There are several reviews right here on google from people who have the same story as me, and I know there are many many more.The Block needs to take accountability for their parking situation. Too many people have been towed from this place to make it solely these individuals fault.If you have been towed while being a patron at The Block, please get in touch at missionapartment4444 at gmail. We need to take collective action. My next action is to take this up with the City of Petaluma. Since I first posted my review, more people have been towed and have left complaints here. When is this going to stop?!That was the first and last time I will ever visit your venue, @The Block. Youve had years to sort this out, apparently. Do the right thing, make sure your patrons know not to park at Dairymans.

Great setting, I love the food truck idea. Every truck over eaten from there had great food. They usually have a pretty good tap selection, but I feel like the pours are kind of small sometimes. Such a great spot, my friends and I went for trivia on Thursday night. There were a lot of people but plenty of seating and lots of food and drinks. The drink selection there is almost limitless, so many taps. You could hear the trivia just about anywhere which was nice. The only downside was the sun was right in our face most of the time, but cant blame them on that!

We do trivia here on Thursdays and its a blast. There is a little basketball area for the kids too so they can come hangout. The food truck rotation is great and the food always delicious. The drink selection is great and they always have games on the TVs. Great place.

Solid, kid friendly. The proximity to the Dairymans place might be off putting for some but it was fine for us. 2 things that turned us off. We were there at 330 on a Saturday and only had their pizza as an offering. No food trucks available. Also tapped out of a few things. As a place that highlights their tap list, they should be replacing them immediately with a new beer or another keg of the same. Having empty taps is potentially lost business. Otherwise, we love the space and concept. Much needed outdoor space in these parts and the *idea* of food trucks and outdoor space is great, just needs the execution. We lived in Traverse City MI and they had the same concept, which we loved because it was executed properly.

I think the idea is that multiple food truck options are available here, but unfortunately when we visited it was rainy and there was only one food truck option and one in house option. The bar inside is super cute and the server was great. On a sunny day this place would be a great way to spend an afternoon! There are plenty of picnic tables and covered seating by the bar. This was a really cool little place. It was almost like you were hanging out under the awning of the lean chew out at your barn. But it had a full service bar, and was a lot cleaner and more comfortable :-). One thing that I would improve on this place is the choice of food. Very kid friendly, sometimes to their own detriment. Not the blocks fault, more often the parents, but it can be a little chaotic. Trying to carry your drink back to your table can become an obstacle course through darting kids in the beer garden. Not to mention the occasional shrill screams.On a positive note, the staff is friendly, they have a great tap line, and the food trucks are a wonderful treat.

My wifes elementary school rented The Block for a fundraiser. It was a fun venue. There are three stationary food trucks and a beer and wine bar. It was a beautiful evening for outdoor dining. They have standing gas heaters, but we didnt need them. There is a pizza truck, a wing and pulled pork stand, and a Korean fusion stand. I had the pulled pork sandwich. It was small but excellent. The spicy coleslaw was a bit much after the fiery hot sauce on my sandwich. I did ask for extra heat. The young people seemed to enjoy the variety of craft beers.

The Block is great! Great beer, great food, really cool.Ok, so I know Im gonna get a lot of flack for this but the amount of kids is crazy. Unattended children running through the parking lot, screaming is a recipe for disaster. Yes, as a parent, you like some place you can take the family and enjoy but please watch your children especially in a drinking environment. The last thing anyone wants is a tragic accident.

This is the perfect place to go when the weather is nice. They have a great outdoor seating area and they have a space inside just in case the weather is not good. They always have pizza and then have rotating food trucks. You can check their Facebook page to see which trucks will be there. They have trivia on Wednesday nights at 6:30 which is also really fun!

Update: Love this place, always a good energy. They always have something delicious to choose. Its family friendly so you can bring the kids, just keep the young ones at a safe distance from the toasty fire pits! There was a great band playing some 90s hits and my son had such a great time absorbing the energy while chomping on a bacon wrapped dog he got from a food truck! The bands singer even took some time to chop it up with him and he was talking about it for days after lol. Awesome.

I really like the idea of giving food trucks a regular place to set up. So far theres only been one truck when Ive been there though. There is a permanent pizza spot made from a shipping container, with an outdoor oven. There are quite a few kegs on tap in the beer garden as well. Parking is ample, so IMO if The Block can get more trucks lined up regularly, it can become a great go-to spot, especially for groups seeking variety.

The beer, the atmosphere and the crowd was great. The food service was horrible this evening. This was my first time going to the Block and it was not a good experience. I ordered a little pizza at 6:50 at 8:05 I still had no pizza. According to the nice and very apologetic man behind the register there was an issue with the computer system. He did refund my money for the pizza and gave me an additional gift certificate for beer for my next visit. (If I wish to try them again?)The grilled cheese truck took 17ish minutes for one sandwich then said they forgot to put cheese on my 2nd grill cheese and pork sandwich which took an additional 4 minutes. I went to the Block to hear the band The Grain and now I will end up trying to see them elsewhere.

Thus place is just so much fun. Theyve done such a wonderful job of setting the atmosohere and building a network so that they offer a fun variety of foods from week to week and live music. Julie I the best host and she partnered with our fundraiser in all of the best ways: helpfulness, generosity, creativity of thought, etc ... She made it personal and it showed through every interaction. The parking is troublesome, but I think Julie will eventually silve that somehow. But otherwise, the entire staff, the setting, the food...its just an awesome local joint!

Come early for a place to sit as it gets crowded and seats go fast. One server there so youre best bet is to buy beers at the bar. Fair selection to choose from. Be prepared to wait in line 5-15 mins. El Roys taco truck is reasonable and delish, but bring $$$ for pizza or girl in the fig trucks. I have been lucky to find parking in the lot, but we get there before the crowd. Cheers!

Fun spot in Petaluma. On premise pizza parlor and tap room with rotating food trucks. The only reason I am holding off one star is that the website and available food trucks dont always match. Things come up, but it would be nice to update the page if there is a change. That being said the trucks that do come produce high quality food in a fun out door environment. The tap room is covered but is fairly open. It feels more like a big covered porch.
