In order to use my 1031 exchange funds before the deadline, I was on a very tight timeline. Amy is simply the best. Instead of superlatives, I’ll relate my actual story about something that really matters: I consulted 3 brokers in SLO County, including Amy and 2 of the biggest, oldest firms in town. Both of the others recommended listing my house at about the same price, while Amy thought we should list about 20% higher. I wondered if maybe she was overly optimistic, but she made it clear she really wanted the listing and believed she could get it done in such a genuine way that I believed her…and she came through. We had to come down a little from our list price, but closed at over 15% more than what the other firms wanted to list at. Clearly they were out for the quick and easy sale, while Amy was straight with me about the value of my property and not afraid to work hard to get it sold for the right price. I don’t know if you’ve seen the price of houses in the area lately, but 15% is a lot of money! For the first time, I am fully satisfied with the experience of selling my home because I know I got the most dollars I could for my property. If this isn’t the best reason to pick a Realtor, I don’t know what is.
