Such a cool spot to pick up some vinyl. They have an amazing selection. Beyond vinyl they have CDs, DVDs, and tons of different audio related things such as speakers and stereos. They also have some shows so look out for that!

Compared to other local vinyl shops I feel like the new stuff is very overpriced, but its a nice selection. The older guy who I believe is the owner is SUPER friendly and approachable. The younger guy that works there is cocky and kindve condescending. It is what it is - unless you want to drive to Cherry Records in auburn or shop on Amazon this is about the only place you can get vinyl.They have a HUGE SELECTION of old time equipment like record players and old school receivers and such. Prices seem a bit high but its a specialty kindve thing that is what it is. Overall, Ill pay the higher prices to keep places like this going!

First impression is still a thing. Normally I’m not harsh when it comes to reviews or minimal customer service…but this business/employees seems very “niche” to a particular genre or patron…bottom line the staff seems very uninterested during my visit. They advertise trades, buys and sells but this was proven inaccurate during my time there. I have a growing collection and was willing to part with some of my albums but I was met with cold and unwelcomed vibes. I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone who desires “inclusion” and a friendly face. This review is my opinion and not meant to offend.

The person I worked with there, completely forgot his name, young man, was super helpful and engaging, and even took his time to search for a record for me on the computer! Amazing store, with amazing deals, and an all-around great store to get great audio supplies or records!

On the recommendation of a good friend, we went to look at some used equipment for my son. Steve, the owner, was very helpful in showing us systems and set up different combos for us to demo. We ended up getting a really nice vintage Kenwood system with a Technics turntable and Sony speakers for a really good deal. Also purchased some used vinyl as well. We will be stopping in anytime we are in the area to check out the large selection of vinyl.

Good record store with a solid collection of both rock and jazz, as well as audio equipment. Nice staff, clean store, and although its a bit of a drive for me to get out to Rocklin, its always worth the trip. The bargain bins alone are full of great finds at great deals.

Very nice & knowledgeable staff. If they dont have an item they will try their best to find it for you. They have a well stocked storefront plus so much more in their online store through Discogs. You can buy through their app & pick up at their store on Rocklin. They also just added a CD & bluray& DVD section. Plus some pretty cool vintage audio equipmentSomething for every budget. If you have the time to dig through records this place is pure gold!! Every time I go, I find something. This store is super awesome!!

We brought records in after I inherited my uncles collection. Not only were they honest but showed us what made records for in demand and what to look out for. I was overwhelmed with the amount I have, and his honesty and assistance make me feel like I have a go-to guide now.

Really really like this store and like their new store front. You can find some good deals on beat-up lower grade vinyl in their overflow room next door, and they always have decent options and prices in their main store. Prices have gone up in the last two years (like in most stores as vinyl has boomed), but still fair. Owner is pretty nice, sometimes willing to help you out and make a deal with you, so try to check out with him if you can and maybe avoid tax by paying cash. Good place for equipment like vintage receivers and turntables as well. I always make a point of coming in whenever Im in the area. Check this place out!

I travel to the greater Sac area from Reno somewhat often. When I do, I always try to stop by a record store on my way out. I’ve been to The Audio Nerd only twice, but oh man, it’s awesome! For it being a relatively small store (the CD and movie side at least) they have some amazing stuff! The two times I’ve been, I’ve found albums that I’ve been trying to hunt down for, what it feels like, forever. Right when I showed up, the employee there was playing A Farewell to Kings by Rush, an album I’ve been looking for. I asked them if it was for sale, and it was! Only 4 bucks too! A steal! They grabbed it for me and even switched out it’s pretty scratched up case to a much nicer one, which is one of the coolest things to do for a collector.I’m pretty loyal to my local record store, but if The Audio Nerd somehow became my home store, I would not be complaining! If you’re from the Rocklin area or just passing by, definitely go support this local store!

This was my first experience and I was very pleased. They have a wide collection of different music genres and different formats on audio as Cassettes, CD and Vinyls. They have Blu Rays DVDS and some video games. Also VHS tapes. The staff checked all of my discs and I was trying not to complain as I saw some light scratches and one disc was oddly white. The staff was very kind and helpful and fixed all the scratches using their machines. I was very pleased as I always skip on some media at my local Goodwill as they always have scratches. The staff was kind and friendly and helpful. I am shocked and pleased. They also have amazing prices. Ill be back again soon in the future. Prices are amazing as well. Have to update my reveiw though and say that The Audio Nerd was a fun and better experience the first time around. Recently went back and they said they no longer had the two stores they owned another building. They share and conjoined it all together and now its very quick and not very much to look at.

I stopped by the other day to get my vinyl fix and found 3 records Ive been looking around for a long time. In great shape and a great price. What I love about this place is they get the rare and unusual along with popular titles too. The store is organized, neat and the folks that work there are pleasant and helpful. What made my day was a beautifuly restored Pioneer turntable PL 518. It now has a new home...my place. Give this small business a visit ... youll be glad you did!

Store shipped me the wrong record. Did not answer multiple emails requesting to return the item after 2 weeks. Submitted a complaint to PayPal who also attempted to contact the owner to resolve the issue. Never responded to PayPal either. Luckily, PayPal sided with me and refunded the $55 I paid. Would never do business with this store again.

Really a great music store. Prices are super reasonable and the staff is top notch. The owner is super knowledgable about music artists and knows equipment better than most. Greatest Record store in the Sacramento, Roseville, Rocklin area as far as Im concerned. The amount of analog equipment is great and prices are very reasonable for the market. The Staff is amazing, well versed, and helpful. I interviewed the Owner Mr. Holt for a School News broadcast and the entire situation was fun and meaningful. It wasnt my first time in the shop, and definitely wont be my last. Love the Audio Nerd.

Its my favorite store to buy music on vinyl, tape, and cd. Ive bought many used vinyls from the store all in great condition and the customer service is so wonderful. Not even to mention how awesomely priced everything is! They always have new music in stock so Im constantly seeing new albums on the shelves and its great.

Bought my first used vinyl some weeks ago. I was reluctant to buy more than one because of worries concerning the condition. However the grading system used by the owner was very accurate and the disc was in excellent condition. I will return soon and recommend this store without hesitation.

This place is nothing but COOL. My daughter first took me. Theres lots and lots of vinyl, from $1 to $25 depending on what you buy. Sometimes have vinyl for free. Yep, I said free. Its a little unorganized, but, they even sell old hi-fi stuff. Its definitely worth the trip.

Tiny. Very small. Like Dimple records but a lot smaller. Having said that, it is a great place to find that CD you cant find anywhere else because there nowhere else to go to! No shortage of inventory to choose from. Shop is packed full and can be difficult to find specifics in the clutter but, its sure a vinyl diggers paradise. Boxes upon boxes of un sorted/graded/priced vinyl. Any genre that fits your fancy. Graded, sleeved and priced bins too. During my visit, the place saw many visitors other than myself. Shelves of stereo/turntable gear for sale with minimal CD inventory. This place is a vinyl hunters Toys R Us. Bargain bins and rareties alike. I would recommended this shop if youre in the area.

Brought them a sample of my collection to see what they would offer. They had a young, just out of or still in high school evaluate my records. To be fair, it wasnt his fault, the owner has clearly trained him to lowball everything. Still, it was insulting and totally disingenuous. I could have brought my Beatles originals in there and the kid would have offered me peanuts. I get that they need to make a buck but cmon, dont insult those who clearly know the value of their records. If you want a fair assessment, sell on Ebay.
