I took the quant course for GMAT with Martin and the verbal course with Seth and I absolutely enjoyed both! I have always had problems staying focus on Zoom meetings after 30min but the classes were so engaging and fun that 3 hours just flew by! The instructors are extremely patient and empathetic. Highly recommend to anyone who want to improve their scores on the GMAT test!

I loved this course! I took the verbal section with Marty and the quant section with Andrew, both were amazing! I was really scared to prepare for the GRE, but the class definitely gave me all the direction and help I needed to feel like I could take down this test. The teachers are super empathetic and encouraging and I genuinely had fun in these classes. I was originally worried about it being impersonal since it was on zoom, but the classes were so interactive! I felt engaged throughout the whole class (and they are 3 hours).A month after the verbal course ended, Marty reached out to see how I was doing and took the time to review my practice exams and give me direction on how I can improve on my essays/timing. Andrew took the time to meet with me after the quant class ended to go over my study plan, sending me extra resources and taking time out of his own schedule to give me that extra boost. Its scary ending the class and being on your own, but they did such a great job providing extra support I feel confident I can achieve my goal score.For the quant course there are office hours available too, which are great for getting individual questions answered. Yuri is running most of those now and hes so helpful, plus a pun master. Youll roll your eyes at some jokes, but youll also be learning tricks of the trade from the GRE master :-).The teachers really care about their students and it makes me so glad I chose to sign up! If youre hesitating, I say you should go for it! You wont regret it!

I took the Test crackers GRE course for both math and verbal.For math, Martin was amazing! He broke down complicated processes into easy to understand pieces and helped me understand how to apply them. It paid off during test day for sure! I definitely would not have done as well as I did without his instructions and the test taking strategies he shared. Id highly recommend him!For verbal, i had Isaac as my instructor. Isaac from the first day laid out an easy to follow plan on how to study for the verbal section. Which saved me a ton of time. His instructions were clear and concise and really helped tackle some of the ambiguity around the verbal section.

I took the GRE verbal and quant prep courses with Isaac (verbal) and Marty (quant). I also attended quant tutoring hours on a bi weekly basis with Yuri. The TestCrackers team is incredibly responsive and caring. They do this full time (many other GRE prep institutes dont) and really care about their students success. I worked with Marty for private tutoring as well in both quant and verbal and he helped me improve my score and also boosted my confidence. I highly recommend TestCrackers and Marty in particular!

I give them a 5 star and recommend TestCrackers to everyone :)I took GMAT initially with Yuri and Seth.Both of them have organized the classes and the material in them in such a way that to me was extremely efficient and beneficial.I was good in quant to begin with but with Yuris methods I became so much faster and getting all the corner cases.I was severely suffering in verbal and Seth was really patient on doing and redoing a plan with me to help me achieve my goals.They both are amazing at caring about their students. After GMAT i realized GRE is a better fit for me and took the GRE verbal with Seth. In between the courses both Yuri and Seth were very approachable to help me with my decisions and with my plan to get a higher score.Good news I got accepted to both Harvard and Stanford business school :)

TestCrackers is the best! I had Yuri as my math instructor and he makes complicated math problems much easier to solve. He shows you where common mistakes are made by people that take the test, and also shows you different ways a math question could be asked. Most importantly, Yuri is very friendly and easy to talk to. He does everything that he possibly can for his students so they do well. He is very enthusiastic about math and has always made class interesting and engaging. I promise that you will not regret taking TestCrackers, it it well-worth the money. My only regret in life is that I didnt enroll for TestCrackers sooner. I recommend anyone who is thinking about taking a GRE prep class to enroll for TestCrackers.

Test Crackers was invaluable to me for my GRE prep. I can not recommend this program enough! With the price you get quant and verbal classes taught by funny, engaging, patient instructors, a study plan, practice problems and tests, access to a generous number of office hours and the support of your fellow classmates. Went to Yuri in Berkeley in 2014 for GMAT help. He was extremely patient and worked with my learning style to help me drastically increase my score. I hesitated for a long time to get a tutor, but with his reasonable prices, flexible schedule, and patient and thoughtful teaching style, it was totally worth the investment.Pro Tip: If you can, try to schedule appointments for the mid-day. He was way more free and flexible in the afternoon / late morning, which allowed me to see him more often and have my pick of times without having to compete with the after 5pm crowd.

I took the GRE Quant prep course with Yuri at the Santa Clara location. This was the first prep course I had taken so I dont have much to compare to, however I cant imagine it gets better than this. The class sizes are small (under 15) and the course material provided offers a concise and accelerated curriculum specifically for the quantitative portion of the GRE. Yuri was extremely helpful and attentive and made sure the 3 hour classes were interactive and engaging with funny stories and jokes. I felt well-prepared with the homework assignments and feedback following the practice exams throughout the course.Perhaps the most helpful aspect of this course was Yuris helpfulness outside of the course. After it had ended, Yuri made himself available over phone and email to help with any additional questions or advice in general for studying. After receiving mediocre scores my first time taking the GRE, he scheduled a phone call with me and laid out a study plan that got me back on my feet and increased my quant score 11 points the second time I took the GRE after just 20 days.If youre looking for a prep course that will provide you all the materials and guidance to prepare for the GRE plus extra help on the side, TestCrackers is my recommendation!

One of my friends recommended that I use Testcrackers for GRE prep, and I came into the class with very low self-confidence in my math and standardized test-taking abilities. From the very first day, I could tell that this class was giving me a lot of that confidence back! I loved how the classes were small enough (mine were 12 students in the Berkeley location) that all students got enough individual guidance. I took both the Quant and Verbal courses with Anisa, who referred to all of us by our names and never made me feel dumb when I couldn’t answer a question. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever had a teacher or professor who cared as much about their students as Anisa did. The class environment really boosted my confidence, and I truly believe that was reflected in my performance.To be fair, I had scheduled my GRE 2 days after the class ended - I likely studied more urgently than the average bear - but I only studied using the trove of resources that were provided by Testcrackers. I ended up performing 11 points higher on the Quant section than on my first practice test before taking the class - a significant enough improvement that I didn’t need to take the GRE again. The practice exams, weekly (and optional daily) homework breakdowns, and testing tips provided by Testcrackers were integral in the improvement that I experienced. Overall, the classes were undeniably worth the investment. Testcrackers definitely lives up to its name!

My TestCrackers experience was AWESOME! I really struggle with math, and both teachers I worked with were super understanding and empathetic. Kirk is phenomenal - I highly recommend her verbal section and quant. Even months after I finished the course they are still asking how they can help me! Its really outstanding. Dont get me wrong, you have to put in the work if you want to see progress, but they make it easier. Finally, they were super flexible with my schedule, as I had to make some last minute changes. Thank you!

Currently have just taken Verbal courses with Seth, pending completion of Quantitative courses. Seth is a very engaging instructor who can break down the concepts and outline specific strategies for the varied questions. The course is nice in that they provide the Manhattan Prep materials unused ( that way you can access the new codes with MP online). I currently work full time and found that the weekday evening classes were harder to focus and pay attention to - though this is a personal preference, I would have gone with weekend classes. The pricing is pretty steep however, considering the amount of access and resources you get it does seem like it would pay off. Im studying for the GRE relatively slowly so have yet to see my scores fully increase in the way I would like. However, that is dependent on ones own study schedule and how much one can commit at a time. Thus why Im currently rating 3 stars, as I am waiting to see how my scores increase once I take the test.

I believe the five star reviews are well deserved. I have taken the GRE FIVE times. (I know, I spent so much on that dang test)I took the GRE 3 times before the course. The first, I didnt study. Second time I studied but not as muchI should have. 3rd time, I got an online tutor. I was scoring a 152 when I needed a 153 minimum and scoring a 142 in quant when I needed a 144. After this attempt, I had to seek out other options. I spoke to Yuri who was not pushy at selling the course at all. He even said if I was so close I could just take quant because I could definitely raise my score there with the class. I had Marty for quant and Kirk for verbal. They were both amazing teachers and would definitely recommend. I was even driving an hour there to Santa Clara and back home to the Monterey Bay Area just for the course.Quant: Marty was very welcoming and kept the class very lively. He does call on you, but will walk you through it if you dont understand. The techniques just to get through the test were so helpful. I was able to get my score from a 142 to 148 which I think is a great achievement for myself.Verbal: Kirk was very open to answering any questions and super supportive. I told her my dilemma and she had advised me to do more flashcards as I was so close to my score. The course goes over the main questions that will come up such as verbal and specific reading comp questions. I took the test four days after and still got a 152, but I took it again a month later and was able to get a 155! I was in shock!Things to consider:1. Theres a lot of homework. If you dont have the time (I was not working and was 100% all in GRE studying so I had time for it)2. There were people (mind out of 12) who seemed like they already high scores and when they were called to answer a question, they were already working ahead. This was slightly annoying because some people (like myself) needed to really focus on what we were working on, so please dont be that person.3. The pace is really fast, especially for quant. If youre like me in the 140s range it can be a little daunting, but Marty will go over any questions and I never felt like I couldnt ask.4. They recommend taking the test four to six weeks after the class, and I would definitely do it in this timeframe. I took it four days after since I was so close to my scores I needed, but only raised my quant. When I took it a month later, I was able to raise my verbal score which I was more focused on.All in all:The price is expensive for the courses. However, if youre like me and dont do well with online tutoring/on your own, this course will definitely do it. Theres only twelve in each class, so you have a lot of chances to ask questions. I didnt know how this could differ from tutoring, but they are specifically GRE/GMAT experts so they can give you insight compared to other tutors/classes. They also provide study materials, snacks, and office hours. They even will help after the class is over if you reach out. I honestly never thought I would get the scores I needed and even took off work for five months to pass the test, and I think Marty and Kirk definitely helped to get there!

I took the GRE quant and verbal courses with TestCrackers. This was after I attempted to learn on my own and did not get the score I wanted. Taking these courses with TestCrackers completely changed the way I feel about preparing for the GRE, I am motivated and a little embarrassed to say--excited. To me the most important thing to get from a course like this is test taking strategy, these courses were packed full with strategy and so much more. The most striking thing about this experience was the obvious effort they have put into being great educators and truly helping each student that wants to improve.

When I started preparing for the GMAT one of my practice test scores was around 540. After seven weeks of both verbal and math classes with Anisa and Seth I was able to achieve a 760 on the actual GMAT. I can easily credit this to the skill and generosity of the teachers and the methodologies of testcrackers, including the ongoing thematically focused study. Working with Anisa and Seth was like having two coaches for the test. They are generous with office hours, interested in your development, and filled with practical knowledge about the test. They also create a healthy classroom environment that is respectful of everyone. I highly recommend testcrackers for anyone preparing for the GMAT who wants to improve their score.

I am so relieved I took this class because it helped immensely with my test taking strategy, timing, and confidence. I had been studying for the GRE on my own for about 3 months and wasnt seeing any substantial progress. I was getting frustrated and discouraged, and decided that signing up for a class was the only sure way to kick my studying up to the next level. Especially because I only had 2 months left to study and I only had time to take the GRE once. It was frantic cram time for me.I took the Quant class with Yuri and the Verbal class with Anisa. Both of them were extremely patient and thorough in their instruction; it almost felt like private tutoring. The class sizes are extremely small and intimate, so all your questions get answered and its a highly interactive and participatory learning experience. They give practical and logical tips and tricks that are incredibly helpful when it comes to timed, standardized tests like the GRE. They know the test material very well and provide unique perspectives into test taking strategy that I was not able to find anywhere online or through my own study materials.As with most things in life, its really what you make of it. If you go to every class, do the homework, and go to office hours, the price is completely worth it. The teachers truly care about your progress, and are incredibly encouraging and motivating. I highly recommend this class to anyone who is taking the GRE!!

Just completed verbal and quant classes and found them very helpful getting me organized and studying regularly. The teachers Anisa and Isaac were super friendly, able to address every question and concern, well prepared and knowledgeable, and they brought a very fun approach to learning. Have not taken the GRE yet, but during my classes my scores improved steadily on the practice exams. Definitely recommended, great people and great care.

I loved my test crackers experience! I took both the Verbal and the Quant classes and the instructors were knowledgeable, entertaining and very caring. They have videos of all their lessons that were extremely valuable too, both for review and in the event I had to miss a class. One word of caution though: I would suggest doing some serious prep before taking the class, especially taking a practice exam to see where you stand. I havent taken a math class in over 10 years and wish I had done their suggested Fundamentals of Math book on my own before Quant course began. Also, for Verbal, since most of it is memorizing GRE vocab, I wish I had gotten some apps/flashcards and started the podcast a few months beforehand too.

I took the Quant and Verbal courses for the GMAT prep class with Seth and have learned so much! Along with the class we received 6 practice tests from Manhattan Prep and the GMAT Official Guide. We had weekly quant and verbal classes, where concepts were discussed and weekly office hours where homework was discussed. Each week, we had assigned homework and were expected to take a practice test approximately every two weeks. I have already increased my score and hope to continue as I continue using the tips and tricks taught to me. I highly recommend taking these courses.

I attended Testcrackers to help me prep for the GRE. Kirk was absolutely fantastic, I came in thinking that the GRE was almost too hard, came away with tips, tricks and most importantly a real sense that it was doable with some solid prep. The teachers are all very accessible and noone there will ever make you feel like you asked a silly question. I didnt end up doing the test as we are moving countries but if I do plan to do it in the future, I have no qualms reaching out to them again for help.

I took prep courses at both the Santa Clara and Berkeley locations and was beyond pleased by the instructors, course program and the level of attention and care shown by the owners and their staff. They are always available by phone or personal email and even wrote me post class to see how my true GRE test went! They even provide complimentary snacks and test appropriate gifts and goodies on your final day. I dont think you could find a better prep course elsewhere, I highly recommend!

If I could give more than 5 stars to TestCrackers, I would! Anisa was my teacher for Quant and Verbal, and I only have good things to say about her classes and the center. She is calm, reassuring, and so incredibly smart. I am not a confident test taker and she made me actually *want* to come to class and study for the GRE every day. She really cares about her students, and her enthusiasm is contagious. She taught us all of the strategies wed need to be successful on the test, including mindfulness practices and quick meditations! I never thought that I would be excited about taking a standardized test, but she made it happen.Along with the interactive and informative classes, TestCrackers give you a book of practice questions, class booklets, vocabulary flash cards, and access to videos of every class. All of these materials were super helpful to me when the class was over and I had to continue studying on my own.TestCrackers went above and beyond my expectations, and I am so grateful that this place exists! Without it, I definitely would have run away from the GRE. Instead, I was confident and had the right tools and strategies to do my best on the exam.

I had Seths class for the verbal section. I found it is clear and helpful for me on many GMAT concepts. I failed miserably in my first attempt, and therefore I want to give myself some time to take the GMAT again. I looked for a night class and decided to go with TestCracker. He is patient and enthusiastic on teaching. Overall, the class structure is manageable with many nice students.

A GRE course isnt exactly meant to be a good time - youre preparing to take a four-hour long exam seated less than a foot away from a computer screen, for goodness sake. Im not exactly sure how they do it, but TestCrackers somehow makes the preparation enjoyable.The overall course is structured into 5 quantitative segments and 4 qualitative segments, each small-group class focusing on a specific set of concepts and test-taking strategies. I highly recommend Yuri as a quant instructor - he offers innovative time-saving strategies and injects each lesson with a lot of humor, which makes the 3-hour long class pass by seemingly quickly. Lynne is an excellent verbal teacher who is extremely patient with her students and somehow makes the random reading comprehension passages about excavations of ceramic pots in 17th century Europe seem less dreadful.Although I havent yet taken my official exam, I can already see improvement in my test timing and practice exam scores! One tip - if you work a stressful job and for long hours, the homework will be difficult to manage. While math is my strength and I was able to get through quant homework, verbal homework is extremely lengthy and time-consuming, so it may be best to take one course at a time as opposed to both simultaneously if you do work full-time. Apart from this, I highly recommend TestCrackers to anyone wanting structure, organization, and pro tips in preparing for a standardized exam.

I took both GMAT Verbal and Quant (which I really recommend doing, even if you feel more comfortable with one section...it can help you go from pretty good to 99th percentile). I started the course with a 610, and ended up getting a 680, and I owe everything to Testcrackers! I had Yuri for Quant and Anisa for Verbal; not only are they wonderful teachers during our class sessions, but they are both incredibly responsive out of class.. I swear, I emailed Anisa with questions almost weekly, and she was always so helpful and supportive. Moral of the story: I love Testcrackers, and you will too!

Amazinggggg. I had my doubts about being able to basically relearn all of high school math in 5 weeks, but they have a really amazing game plan. Yuri simplified so many concepts, and made everything really easy to understand. The class size was small, which was really nice. But every question he worked on, hed pick a student to work on with him and hes really helpful and patient in talking you through it so youre not embarrassed to work on a problem in front of everyone. The class was really enjoyable, and there are so many resources for help outside of class. So i finished a few weeks ago, but I still have access to the materials and a line to Yuri for help up to taking the GRE. These people like actually really care and want you to do well on your exam, and will do so much to help you. 100% worth it.

I was constantly amazed at how smart they both were and was so happy to be getting taught by them.Yuri and Anisa really dedicated themselves to providing me ongoing support well after my class ended and up until the day of my test. I was consistently taken back by how committed they were to making sure I got a score that made me confident in my applications.Yuri gave me a full in-depth study plan following the end of the class based on what areas I needed to work on and another study plan the week and a half before the test. Ive been private tutoring with Marty for the GMAT for about 2 months. Marty was extremely encouraging. He helped me focus on weak aspects of my test taking, and was very flexible as it came to scheduling time for us to meet. We tutored over Skype, which could be challenging sometimes with connectivity, however, Marty was understanding and would tack on additional time for anything that was delayed due to computer issues.I would recommend Marty to anyone.

Due to the current climate, preparing for graduate school is a dauntless task. I took the complete GRE prep course over this summer, and the teachers skill in adapting to an online platform is really impressive. I was engaged, informed, and supported throughout the entire class.Anisa was my instructor for the Verbal section. She was a brilliant teacher, a patient mentor, and a wonderful person to get to know. I feel so lucky to share a love for vocabulary with her!Andrew was my instructor for the Quantitative section. TestCrackers was a huge help for me in getting my GMAT score up to an acceptable level for acceptance into the EWMBA program at Berkeley. I took both the quant and verbal courses and improved in both areas significantly. Seth has a great way of breaking down complex problems into pieces that are easy to understand. My approach to problems solving completely changed by the end of the course. Problems that I would normally skip became problems that I understood and could solve by utilizing the strategies introduced by Seth. In the end, Seth and TestCrackers helped my achieve my goal. I am excited to start business school at Haas in the Fall. Wouldnt have made it without Seth and TestCrackers. Thank you !

Yuri was high energy and easy to follow, this is GREAT considering the class was at the end of the day, and 3 hours long. Fourth week into this training and I have signed up for Math and Verbal. I would say take a hard look at your schedule and daily work load and then sign up for both Math and Verbal as it could get very overwhelming with tonnes of homework to be done every week for both of the subjects. I am not sure when designing this program were they thinking is somebody sitting at home 24 * 7 and then doing this prep? I would recommend for people working in a regular job to start with one of the subjects and then see if you can take the other.I started with both classes and I am struggling to keep at it as the time commitment is just too much. The teachers are good but I wish they designed the curriculum thinking about people doing this part time with a day job to support.Again this is my opinion and there are folks who can probably pull it off but I guess given my current work situation and the commute time it takes in traffic to go back and forth from this facility to my place is just too much. Given a choice I would start with Verbal first and then after it is done I would do Math. That way at least you are doing your regular home work and then showing up for the next class as compared to my current situation where I am always lagging behind the homework from both the classes and feel overwhelmed every week( just too much). The homework work load does not seem to be REALISTIC.Also for verbal I wish we had a an extra class as doing the whole prep course in 5 classes and just rushing through the material does not help. Perhaps more focus and attention to practice for Sentence Correction during the class should be done.Dont get me wrong here as the Teachers Marty and Lynn both did a great job but as I said I wish the whole course curriculum including the homework, exercises etc work load should have been designed in a different way keeping in mind that people have a day job in the bay area for a living.

Five stars... and I run my own tutoring and test prep company :)Yep. My organization teaches SAT and ACT, but I needed some personal help on the GRE Quant section. I know how much goes into getting a comprehensive and useful curriculum together, how much expertise is needed when choosing homework and drills for students to allocate their limited time to. These guys did it all with excellence.Theyre also just incredibly nice and caring. Forgotten books, extra outside questions, and even phone calls? If you are putting the work in and need the boost, they will step in to help you with anything. Not sure how they pull it off, frankly.My own score went up 8 percentile points in Quant. Not as much as Id hoped, but enough to put me in the running for the schools of my choice.As I tell my own students, nothing and nobody can stand in for the quality of your own self-study, but that said, this has got to be the best outside class that money can buy.

If you want to get excellent GRE scores, this is the place to go. The instructors nailed down different test strategies for high scores performances. Yuri was very understanding and helpful when I was struggling in the course. Theyll try to help you as much as possible! Cant expect for more. 5 star service.

760! I took classes in the Berkeley office, but I give Testcrackers a huge amount of credit for my 99th percentile score. Im not great at testing but their strategies and shortcuts gave me the confidence I needed to get a score I was happy with. Small classes and fun, engaging instructors. So happy I chose Testcrackers.

What a life saver. Andrew has seemingly super human expertise with the material. I appreciated his ability to customize the learning method based on how my brain works - visual and experiential - even via online learning...which is no easy feat. He created safety to express not knowing something or being lost. That opened me up to learning. I found myself saying, “This is so easy!” My best friend decided not to take this class (she really regrets it now) and I was even able to help her through the material. Anisa Ray is not only a fantastically skillful instructor, she is unassuming, genuine, kind and yet mischievously playful. Honestly, I’m a tough case. Math has always been a struggle for me… To the point where I could feel judgment and impatience from past teachers and tutors. A friend suggested I work online with Andrew. When he was supporting me with math, I felt better about myself. I looked forward to doing math, probably for the first time in my life. I came in here not knowing anything about the gmat. In my first diagnostic test I was below the 50th percentile in both the quant and verbal sections. After the last 6 weeks with Anisa, Yuri and Seth, I am scoring in the mid 80s in terms of percentile (with not much practice outside of these classes tbh). They are very thorough and make the classes super engaging. Planning to go ham in the next month and hopefully make it to the 90th percentile :D
