Mark Terry’s movers did a good job. We moved out of state and used their storage facility for a little while. We had some broken items but Mark took care of the claim for us. They were polite and hard working movers. I would recommend them for your in or out of state moving needs.

TL;DR - AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I was naive, didnt know what to expect and your experience might be different, but mine was awful, strongly recommend avoiding this company in particular and movers in general. A 3 mile move of a 2 bedroom apartment across town cost $1500.Over the phone I was quoted 3 guys for 3 hours at $195/hour. I paid them $950 or something close to that off the top. During that call I said, Ive never hired movers before. Nobody explained how it worked, gave advice or was decent about it. They were in it to take our money.Movers arrived at the end of their arrival window, apologized and said the line for gas was long. I assumed in good faith that our start time was when they got to my home. No. Little did I know they started charging me for time when the truck left the lot so I paid $195 for that hour. So the Im sorry was supposed to make me feel better about the $195.The movers were friendly, chatty and insisted on reboxing a lot of our smaller boxes into larger boxes (again a time eating tactic) before putting them on the truck.3 guys took from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to move us from a 1st floor 2 bedroom to a 2nd floor 2 bedroom. They were late, took a half hour lunch, and got lost on the 3 mile drive for over 20 minutes.During the move one of the guys casually mentioned his parole officer.Your *PAROLE* officer?!?!Cool, criminals know where I live and what stuff I have. Cool cool. 👌🏼👌🏼👍🏻👍🏻I assumed that when they went over their 3 hour quote, they were doing his a good turn and finishing. Nope.After all of it was done, 3 hulking sweaty men stood in my kitchen and actively shook me down for another $500. I pushed back and got death stared at by their leader. He explained that I owed them for their getting gas time and their lunch time and their getting lost time. I caved and paid it, because I was exhausted and wanted them gone. I hated my new home because its where this company and its employees violated me. Ive been depressed and scared and never really settled in.People seem to rave about this company, but if they see you as a mark, theyll take advantage.

Best movers ever. We had a short (less than 21 day escrow) notice to move and our realtor recommended Terry Moving. My husband called and they gave us a quote over the phone and confirmed wardrobe boxes, etc. Estimate was same as others - we are VERY organized - but the movers were done in half the time (2nd story to a 3rd story). Ken Chuy and Carlos ARE AMAZING. Not hoping to move any time soon but would call Terry Moving again and sincerely recommend you do the same.

This review has been a long time in coming but moving brings lots of things that need to be done and sadly this was on the back burner. This moving company is top notch. Honest, prompt, great at communication, and at reasonable cost. We used their packing service as well and everything was done efficiently and professionally, taking great care of our belongings in the process. The truck showed up at the new house 450 miles away on the day and time promised and the driver stayed in touch with us with arrival time etc. During the move not a shelf pin was missing! Cant say enough good things about this moving company - highly recommend!Thanks Mark for the great service!!!

Mark Terry very rude person with a very foul mouth over the phone... probably not like that in person but very rude over the phone. Called to retreive information regarding his business and he begun cursing and name calling, very racial comments. Horrible person not the way to conduct business with a large company like us. I do not recommend this company to any customer and will also be reporting him to the bbb. Always be respectful you never know who you are speaking to or who they know, and it could cost you in the long run. Also he called my place of business and made multiple threats and told my owner he would sue our company if I was not terminated from my job. Very nasty person.

Had Hope and Randy helping us move today and WOW! They did amazing! They moved everything quickly and diligently. They were able to wrap items and were super fragile with the breakables! Trying to find a great moving company online is almost impossible. Reviews generally are all over the place and you never know who to trust. When I went with Terry Moving & Storage, I had to hope the 5 star reviews were legit and the 1 stars were the exception. I am happy to say, the 5 stars are LEGIT and I am adding one to the list. The entire process was smooth, and they were very patient answering all my questions. The crew of Julian, Vinni, and Patrick were all-stars. They moved our stuff under the time estimate and treated everything with great care. They went out of their way to help us with our potted plants (they made a cool makeshift plant-carrier out of a wardrobe box) and even moved some large items that we needed to sell into our garage so it would be easier for pickup. They covered our newly carpeted stairs to protect them and were great with our fragile items, especially the TV. To top it off, becuase the guys were able to move us under the estimate, well be getting a refund for the difference. If youre looking for quality moving - youd be hard pressed to find better! At the very least - call them if you dont believe me - some rando on the internet ;)

We hired Terry Moving and Storage based on a referral from a co-worker and we were not disappointed. Due to the weather forecast, Mark sent a large crew to pack and take to storage our entire home in one day! The crew was friendly, curteous and total professionals. When it came time to move into our new home in another state, the crew was equally as great as the first. Not a single item was lost or broken. I highly recommend Terry Moving and Storage and would not hesitate to hire them again.

I found Terry Moving & Storage in a google search and it was the reviews that got me to contact them. I needed packing and a full move, including a month of storage, up to Crescent City- a beautiful but remote coastal area 20 minutes from the Oregon border. I’ve don interstate corporate moves with Allied but this was my first move on my own. I’m so glad I did. This was back in June and I’ve finally unpacked everything. Not a single missing or broken item. The staff were friendly and professional at each stage and I really felt for the driver who had to navigate the 101 through some pretty tight redwood groves. I would recommend them to anyone and would use them again myself. Thank you to Mark Terry and the whole team involved in our move!

Decided to use a local family owned moving company for my move from CA to FL and boy I am so glad I did. My realtor mentioned several clients had used Terry Moving & Storage. Their prices were competitive with the larger national companies PLUS you get the excellent customer service that a smaller local company can provide you. Jim was my initial contact and was great to work with in getting my many questions answered on what was included in the price. Mark was great about keeping me informed on the arrival date window. The local crew that loaded the truck were ROCK STARS! THey showed up right on time and were so understanding of the emotions and craziness I was dealing with trying to get the last minute items packed for the truck or my car. They offered to help with whatever I needed and I took them up on that. I would put items in a certain place and they would quickly pack those last items up. What a BLESSING they were!!! Such hard workers. I was amazed at how quickly they moved everything into the truck. Well coordinated crew! Mark kept me informed each night about where the driver was and that he was still on track to deliver at the expected time. Fortunately for me, the truck left 2 1/2 days AFTER I did or it would have beat me to FL! Les was such an amazing driver!!! He also coordinated the FL crew to unload the truck and that went extremely well also! Those guys were hard working, very considerate of my belongings, put the boxes in the appropriate room, and set up the beds/furniture that needed it. They also asked if I needed any assistance with anything. They would move whatever I needed before they left. Another ROCK STAR team!!! Everything was loaded and unloaded carefully. So far have not encountered any damage. I was so pleased with how everyone at Terry Moving made this experience such a positive one for me!!! This is my first big move across the country and everyone did what they could to make it as painless as possible. I was so grateful! There were no surprises; everything went as I was told. I don’t usually post any reviews, but in the case of Terry Moving & Storage, I felt I had to. We hired Mark Terry and his company to do a full pack, white glove move for us, that included storing out items for 6 days, followed by full unpack at the new destination. My family and I could not have wished for a better experience. I have moved homes 3 times with my family - and this move was by far the best experience. Why? Mark and his guys too care of everything, lived up to every part of the contract, and most of all, did it in a way that made you feel like a family member - not a client.There is no other reason to dial anyone but Mark Terry / Terry Moving & Storage. He is by far the best in class in the moving and storage business. A+ all around - he literally delivered !!!!!

Finding the right moving company without having experienced the service scan be almost impossible and that is the risk. Reviews can be hit or miss at times as well. And my experience with other moving companies in the past have be subpar at best. This time I definitely tried to due my diligence online looking through many reviews and calling a dozen companies. My challenge was to find the right moving company that provided prompt, efficient, safe and professional care for my furniture and personal property. Terry moving CRUSHED it from and my family. My movers were Julian and Jose, These two were PHENOMONAL - They just had a yes we can do it attitude to all of my requests. The communication between themselves was clear and concise, They wrapped all my furniture with the proper supplies to protect all my furniture and took the proper time measure to deliver a great moving experience. Great attitudes and very helpful. These guys killed the game, real hard workers. Thoroughly impressed with Terry Movers and would use them over and over again. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DO TOO! seriously, like seriously dont go to any other moving company.

Hiring Terry Movers was definitely the best money spent overall!We had been planning to move and watched the homes in our neighborhood go up for sale one by one, and we were seeing the Terry moving truck time and time again in the hood.When it came time for us to move, I knew who to call.They were professional from the start all the way through to the end. Their price was in line with what we expected, which was fair for both parties. I am truly a firm believer in you get what you pay for, so I wasnt about to go with the cheapest quote from a random moving company.I the team that came out to move us from point A to point B were all professional, courteous, friendly and seem like they enjoyed what they were doing.Or larger items such as our beds, tables and appliances were dismantled and the parts were packaged in a separate box that traveled with them.At point B, the driver easily backed the massive moving truck down our driveway and the guys had everything unloaded and rebuilt within about four hours.Props to Mark Terry and his teams all around the nation-they are a dynamic and awesome group.I refer Terry Movers all the time, and I will use them again if needed in a hot minute!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Terry Moving & Storage… they were fantastic! Shortly after my mom passed away, I moved from Palm Desert to Laguna Hills. I wasn’t doing well, and Terry Moving and Storage took care of everything with my move so that it was worry free.They were reliable, professional and efficient from my initial call all the way through the end of the move. They provided great customer service and were very kind, and accommodating. They arrived on time on moving day. My belongings had to be picked up from 2 locations. They stored my everything overnight and unpacked the following day. They handled everything efficiently and carefully and not one thing was damaged in the move.I moved previously with Terry Moving and was very well taken care of then as well. I warn every one who is moving long distance NEVER use a moving broker. They are scam artists, that by the time you get your stuff to your final destination it will cost you double their quoted price.That is how Terry Moving saved me. When the broker I had hired never showed up I had 3 days to move out of the apartment. I was so lucky to find Terry Moving. He told me of how I was not the first customer that needed saving. I could not believe that he was able to schedule my pick up time for 2 days before Christmas. They arrived on time, blanket wrapped all the furniture and moved everything from the upstairs bedroom. My brother noticed that the name on the truck said Terry Moving as they pulled away with all our belongings.So we could spend holiday time with the family before moving away we were able to schedule the delivery date in January. They kept in contact with us to confirm the time and date of their arrival.As everything was going into a storage unit I was surprised that they were already there when we arrived, that was the only problem we had. The truck was to big to fit in the storage lot. No problem they said with a smile and they walked everything in from the street and stacked everything to fit.As the truck drove away My brother commented You get better service from someone who is willing to put their name on a 53 truckThank you Mark Terry and your excellent crew for saving this old lady.

We just found a home to rent and called for a quote, Jeremey, Armando and Julian came to meet us at our storage unit, within an hour and a half they had already cleared out 90% of a 10x20 storage unit and safely effectively had them organized in the back of their truck. They met us at our new home and were just extremely efficient and concious of the corners and walls. My mother and I were impressed with how neatly and organized this team was, they helped carry the heavy things up the stairs. He and his team are trustworthy, honest, respectful and get the job done. My husband & I had been scammed by one of the many crooked moving companies, Colonial Van Lines, leaving us without a mover on the day our escrow closed, for a move across the country no less. Thank God we found Terry Moving on Google with his 5 star rating. He saved us. Some of the movers tried to fight me or were acting like they earned to punch me.Why? Because I had a simple complaint. Youre on the community walk way, move over.As I mentioned this, the taller black guy with dreads and the skinny white guy made mocking noises as I walked away. Very unprofitable. When I explained my problem they did this stupid thing where they both said WHAT I CANT HEAR YOU when I was being pretty clear.Obviously it turned into a bunch of shouting as I explained what my problem was and they proceeded to pretend to not here me. The white guy balled his fist like he was going to punch me.Super cool. Very professional. Good look you guys. Stay classy and stay parking up on the sidewalk when theres plenty of room literally 10 feet forward.

Update: 11/12/201 - Terry Moving & Storage has down it once again. We needed to move a family member last minute from Santa Cruz to Orange County, CA. Ken and Mark were able to arrange a truck and crew in under 48 hours. The crew arrived early and took care of all the details. We cant thank them enough for saving the day. From beginning to end, they demonstrated that we made the right decision entrusting them with with this important life event by making it a great experience. Mark, sales, packers, loaders, drivers, unloaders, and assemblers all treated us like VIPS and family. They were professional, very experienced, friendly, polite, listened to understand our needs, flexible, communicated proactively with us, responded quickly to our questions and concerns, were on time, did everything they promised, and handled our household goods as their own. Mark Terry and his crew went above and beyond helping me move when my previous moving company lied and dropped my move on my moving day. Terry’s Moving showed up within a couple hours loaded all my my items, wrapped and packed professionally and took care of everything and left me with out any worries in what was such an enormously stressful situation. They turned a bad day into a good one again. They gave me a reasonable price for my move to Colorado and gave me continued updates about my move, as well. This is one of the best moving companies I have ever had the pleasure of using and by far the best customer service I’ve have ever known. They treat you as family and take care of you. I used Terry Moving and Storage for a local move. My condo was just under 1,000 square feet, and I was set up with 3 guys and 1 truck. Ive used moving companies before and Ive always found them lacking. However, Terry Moving and Storage is a very different story. Lawrence, Hope and Kenny showed up on time, and quickly got to work. They took extra care with my belongings, and insured items were wrapped and protected very well. They arrived at my new residence before I did, which was amazing - no wondering if the guys got lost and/or if they stopped to eat. They quickly moved my items off the truck and followed my instructions perfectly on where to place items. I had pre-paid for the move - a total of $1,000 - but when the movers finished, the final bill came to $861. I called the office and they are issuing me a refund for the difference. Ive never had this happen! Typically, movers will quote a price, and by the time the job is finished, you owe substantially more. How refreshing to work with movers who arent out to get more money out of you, while still doing a quick, caring job. I highly recommend Terry Moving & Storage!

I have one heck of a moving story and this company is the hero! Unfortunately I was signed up with a company that ended up being a scam and I kid you not within one hour of canceling that other company and needing to be out of my apartment the same day I called Terry moving.Mark spoke to me personally and reassured me he is no stranger to a crisis call. Luck would have it that his truck was on its way to Texas where I was needing to be moved the very next day so he pulled together a fast moving and very efficient crew to get everything on that truck that same evening.I was blown away on how efficient and polite the movers were. To make things better Mark was in communication with me about the progress of my cross-country move down to the hour when my things would arrive and be received in Texas. We just used Terry Moving this past Saturday for a move and they were great! Mark set up the move with my wife and she said he was very nice and professional. Then on Saturday our movers, Salvador and Kai arrived (early), and they were just the same as Mark. They got out of their truck and immediately introduced themselves with a handshake, very professional! We didn’t have a big move but they did a great job and even fixed a nightstand corner that had a little damage (not from them).We will definitely use them again and recommend them highly!

We used Terry Moving & Storage to complete a two destination move for us from Orange County to the Dallas, TX area and to San Luis Obispo. We found ourselves way behind on our packing on the day of the move. The Terry Moving & Storage professional packers helped us to finish packing as well as load our belonging for the move. With additional labeling needed to make sure everything got to the right location, they were almost perfect. Only one box got sent to the wrong place and nothing was lost. The Terry personnel worked hard, were very professional and respectful of our personal preferences. Terrys Moving and storage handled our move from Southern California to Arizona and I can say ENOUGH GOOD THINGS about this company and their staff.The owner of the company visit our home and walked our house to provide a quote and complete instructions on how to prepare for the move and what was included. Our move had some special elements which included a small art collection (15 pieces), a corvette and solid wood and leather designer/custom furniture. Mark invited us to his facilities so we could see how the car would be loaded on to the semi and he assured us our electronics and art would be professionally packed.Prior to the move his personally called to make sure we were ready and to confirm our move details.The day of the move his crew arrived and WHAT A WONDERFUL JOB THEY DID. Everything was labeled and packed with care and they provided us wardrobe boxes. They packed EVERYTHING...art, appliances, patio heaters and for our customer/designer furniture, the items were wrapped in blankets and then shrink wrapped in plastics.Once we were loaded, we drove our vehicle to their loading facility and my husband was able to drive his car onto the semi himself. Everyone in the warehouse was friendly, professional and by the end of the day we felt like we were part of the Terry Moving Family. We met our driver and he gave us his number and he confirmed the time he would start his drive the following morning.On the Arizona side, the unloading crew was professional, helpful and at the end of the move they walked each room with us (including the patio) to make sure all of our furniture was placed as we desired.Hands down this is the best moving company in Orange County! We were delighted with their service and recommend them 100% to anyone who values their possessions and only want the best.

To my great fortune, I found Terry Moving. I was selling my family home in California, because my mom passed away. My sister and a couple family friends were going to take most of my moms beloved furniture, so the move was a little complicated because we had 3 separate locations to send everything. But to Mark, the owner of Terry Moving, that was absolutely no problem at all.In my search for a mover, I spent a few hours combing the internet and reading review after review about how movers would simply not show up on moving day. This scared me. So when I found Terry Moving, I decided to show up to their office, unannounced, just to make sure they were a real business. They were pleasantly surprised to see me, and gave me a tour of the storage facility and the lot where they keep their trucks. Everyone was very friendly and made me feel at ease.On moving day, they showed up right on time. The 5 team members were super nice, hard-working, and always had a positive attitude and smile on their face. They made me feel very comfortable with how they were handling my beloved mothers possessions.In the end, the move went successfully. All the furniture showed up in one piece and the pricing came in below the estimate... so that was nice! There was one small bit of damage to a piece of furniture, that thankfully was repairable... Mark quickly refunded my money within minutes of getting a quote for the repair.Mark is a super-honest guy. HIs employees are awesome. I highly recommend them even if they are a little more expensive than other movers I called. They are worth it. And you prospective movers are worth it! A repeat customer here, it was a no-brainer to call Terry Moving and Storage to schedule them for our move date. They are very professional and organized. The owner followed up with me to confirm the date, time, addresses, cost, etc. and sent me an email (and calendar appointment) with all the information. He called again a few days before the move to confirm everything and find out if there was anything else we needed to prepare for the move. On the morning of the move, the movers (3 of them) showed up on time and started working right away. They kept a solid pace and catered to all our needs and requests. BTW, there were several flights of stairs at both addresses. These guys work hard! They not only worked their tails off during our move, they had another move scheduled immediately after ours. We got several pizzas and sodas to feed them after all their hard work. They packed up their food and headed off to their next job, eating on the way there. (Our movers did not show-up or call on the day of our scheduled move.)When we called in, we were connected with Scott Kurtz, he was nothing but professional and we felt we were getting real assistance. 10/10/22Unfortunately this was the second worst move Ive ever experienced. Terry himself was courteous (at first) on the phone while booking this move but after we came to Laguna and I discovered all the broken items his tone changed.I had been told that this was going to be my best move ever and boy oh boy... That was not the situation.When I arrived in Laguna I discovered that a number of items had been broken and none of the employees thought to tell me about it. (Is that a company policy? Break things and wait for the client to discover whats been trashed? dont own up?)The first rude discovery was when I went to go to sleep that first night and discovered that the bed was only propped together, not actually attached and the thing collapsed. (I am a 70-year-old woman, living alone and dealing with lung cancer and this happens)Then he sent some employees back to properly fix it and the other broken items -right next to the bed was a dresser where somehow they had scraped the stain off of one of the legs and his employees apparently painted some material on that leg without informing me and very sloppily spilled it also on the floor and on my baseboard. (Was that in their haste to do it before I saw them doing it?)This is just an example of the dishonesty I experienced.There is more. There were more broken items that they did not address when they came back...(maybe I should say thank goodness after their shoddy job on the bed and the dresser - not to mention the electric chair that was broken and worked for one day after they returned).I dont want to waste more time out of my life writing.Bottom line:I would skip this business big time.

What a great moving experience! David and his team were so efficient and worked so hard. They were beyond helpful. They were kind enough to go the extra mile by letting my 91 year old Dad sit in his recliner until they were done loading the trucks. Then they loaded his recliner last. Our refrigerator is huge and David had to remove our front gate to get in the the house. He just whipped out his trusty bag of tools to handle it. They came in, surveyed the situation and within minutes my over-sized leather couch was safely in the living room. This is my 2nd experience with this moving company and all I can say is WOW! All of my belongings were already being stored at the Lake Forest warehouse. I was moving to Dana Point with a friend who lived in Encinitas. I called Terry to see if he would make me a good deal to make both of our moves in one day. The guys met my friend at her place at 8:30 am (as promised) and another truck filled with my stuff showed up at our new place in Dana Point by 11:00 am! They stored our property while we sold and went through a long escrow waiting for our new home to be built. Miracle workers. Yes, I underestimated just how difficult it would be to load my POD and waited until the day before to call Terry Movers in a PANIC. They arrived on time to our morning appointment and then proceeded to help me pack and move my things. I had gotten most things packed but they helped me out with the bigger and heavier items. Everything was moved fairly quickly and there was a lot of stairs but it seemed like they handled everything with care as nothing was broken or dented

I really liked the owner Mark Terry moving and storage for really helping me on my struggle of moving my U-Haul into his vaults and holding it for me for 30 days while I was getting a place to live, he was very understanding and and hooked me up with driving my vaults to my place too for what I was having trouble with, the location is nice looks small but inside is more than enough room to store your things, and price is nice and affordable too no hassle, very recommend storing places here and getting the help you need!

This location is nice 👍🏼 and big being in the warehouse/building reminded me of a Indiana Jones movie 🎥, it was a honor to meet the owner mark terry he definitely seems like a compassionate person that care about his customers, would definitely recommend this place if you need your stuff stored!
