Doug was terrific. He first helped by explaining over the phone what the contracted work will do, what products are used, and what inspections he will perform. He answered all questions and was thorough and courteous in all interactions with us. When he arrived to perform the inspections he was on time and well presented, and again answered all of our questions knowledgeably and courteously. 5 stars - excellent work.

The communication was great so we knew when to expect the service to take place. The technician was thorough and likewise communicated clearly and in a detailed manner as to what to expect. He even gave a follow up call offering to come by and check on things. The rate is 1/2 of what we were paying with another provider who would show up unannounced. All in all we are VERY pleased!

Terminix does a great job of the service, very thorough in spider web cleaning.However, scheduling via text can be improved upon. I received a text detailing when the next service will be but had to reschedule because I have to put my pets inside. Then I checked on the date (via same text communication) that I had not received any confirmation on the requested scheduled date. They said that my requested date was not on the schedule. Well, duh, no one checked or confirmed it. So I settled for the next day. Poor communication in scheduling.

Doug went above and beyond to thoroughly inspect my home for termites. My home is not easy to navigate, as the crawl spaces are very small. Besides inspecting the entire inside and outside of my house he noticed a small water leak in the crawl space (not flowing, but something that he experienced with his own home) and I doubt that very many other people would have noticed! He explained in a very clear manner what the reason for the leak probably was, which is very helpful for me to know. I really appreciate Doug for such a complete evaluation. Thank you for your thoroughness 👏🏻

Randy does a thorough job of spraying for ants (my main problem) and letting me know if and whenever he sees any particular problems as he services my house. He was also very accommodating when I needed to change my appointment due to my traveling. I am very happy with the service and level of communication he provides.

Ive managed staff since the 80s as noted on my LinkedIn profile. As a customer for the last 45 YEARS, I must say Aaron was one of the best Terminix techs Ive ever had. He was efficient with his time and considerate of my concerns. He accessed two non-conventional ceiling trap doors to inspect added rooms. He was careful not to damage or scratch the floors and walls as he migrated through our home. He listened to my stories while staying on track with a through inspection. Scheduled a free consultation and our technician, Hector, was great. Super friendly, did a very thorough inspection, let us know how bad the problem was (our situation was minor, I didnt feel like he was overstating it or telling us the sky is falling), gave us some pointers and told me exactly what Terminix could do to solve the problem. Offered multiple products with different price ranges so we could choose the one that made the most sense for us. Highly recommend getting a consultation from Hector if you can.

The initial treatment quote/explanations did not match what theTechnition wanted to treat! We paid 1200. for a whole wall to be treated, and then were told at the time of treatment that they would only treat a 4x4 section! We got the technician to expand some, but not the whole wall. NOT COOL. I hope the treatment works!

We have been Terminex customers for nearly 20 years. Their regular pest service has been fine. At a recent inspection, a sales person said that there was evidence of rats in our attic. He recommended their programm: service people would come out to close any entrance to the attic, put new hardware wire over the crawlspace air vents, and put glue traps in the attic and crawl space. They would then come to check the traps every four weeks for one year.The first crew had two people - one was in training and watched. The worker did some things in the attic and garage but said that he didnt go in the crawl space. I told him that the salesperson told me that they would go into the crawlspace. The worker told me that the sales people will say anything to make the sale. He and the trainee were gone in 45 minutes.I called to complain and another person came to the house. I told him that the price of $1900 was pretty high for the small amount of work. He apologized telling me that things were done incompletely and some incorrectly. He asked if they could try again. He said that I was paying for the work as well as the montlhy check-ups. He told me that he would also, as a bonus, send a cleaner to remove the rat feces, whom he said was meticulous. I consented.Another crew appeared 1 week later (Mar 28, 2024). They went into the attic, the crawlspace and the garage and seemed to do a good job. The cleaner was not with them.Five weeks later we still had not heard from anyone about checking the traps. On May 21, I contacted the salesperson explaining the problem. His email read I agree with you. Let me take care of this. I replied asking what he meant by that. There was no reply and we have neither seen nor heard from anyone.Last Friday (May 31, 20224), I called Terminex and spoke to someone in Houston, TX. I explained my situation and he said that he was sending a detailed email to the Pleasanton office. I told him to tell them that if I didnt hear from anyone by the end of the day that I would take the next steps to recover my money. It is now Tuesday, June 4. So far...Crickets.I would give 4 stars for the work that was done and 0 stars for completion of the promised onsite work, follow-up on monthly checkups, and communication.Any competent 25-year-old could have done all that was done in four hours easily. Even at $100/hour, it would have only cost me $400.UPDATE: JUNE 11 (6 days after the review was posted)The very day after my post, Terminex responded as you can see. I followed their instructions to assist them in addressing this matter further on that same day. So far, we have heard nothing from them.In order to register a complaint with our credit card company, we need the original written order that we signed. (We had never received a copy after signing.) We have made two or three requests since the signing but have heard nothing in response.BTW, we have still heard nothing about someone coming to check the rat traps they put in the attic etc.

I have been with terminix for a few years now... Ive never needed an in-between service before ...but this one time I did...I have a wasp nest on my roof..I called on june 7th got a great response for my problem..someone was scheduled to come out between 8-10am Saturday morning...no one showed up!! I phoned to see if there was a problem...the operator said sometimes a job runs over... understandable...but I called again after 12:00pm & the operator said they would have the supervisor call... Im still waiting!!! Terrible service!!

Had to call again as no contact, got repeat about being called in 24-48 hrs. to set appointment. Being invaded (caught 5 mice), and no response yet.

Beware of doing business with this company. They charged me for work they never did, messed up my garage door, lied about the services they would perform, and have repeatedly told me someone would email me to resolve my issues, but I have yet to receive a reply. I have been trying for over a month to get a response. I ended up having to hire another company who did the work for less than 1/3 of what I paid Terminix for the work they promised but never completed. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a business. If I could give zero stars I would.

I hired terminix to help me with an ant problem, 6 weeks later still they’ve done nothing despite them visiting my house and then later telling me they had no one available to come spray for the ants…after taking my money. Today I called to cancel and they sent me to the cancellation department where I wait on hold for 5 minutes before the line disconnecting.Take my advice and work with a local provider who cares about your business.

I signed up for exclusion contract with Terminix and I’ve been trying to get someone to come and address our pest problems but it’s been 6 months of continuous calling and scheduling appointment with no shows and no response. I don’t even know how this branch in Pleasanton is in business and how they have such high ratings. I’m trying to get my contract canceled and my money refunded because I’m tried of calling them.

I have Terminix inspect my home for any areas where rodents can get in once a year. I am not good about knowing when that inspection should take place. Terminix sends friendly reminders. When I had rodents in my attic they did a complete inspection and fixed all areas where they could get into my attic. I now have them protecting my home from Termite damage as well. It is a comfort knowing I do not have to worry about any infestation destroying my property.

We have been customers for about 10 years and overall we have been very pleased with the service, with one exception. As a whole the technicians have been thoroughly professional, communicative and responsive.However, 3 months ago while neither I nor my husband was at home, my husband had to clean up the cobwebs the technician had overlooked. He called the Terminix office and complained, he was heard and was assured someone could return to our home and the job would be done right. He declined the offer as he had cleaned up the leftovercobwebs.

To be honest, the service has been fine. However, the review is entirely for how Terminix did me in on my last service at my old property. I called them back in July 2023 to postpone my October service because we were moving to a new property and I was told that postponement was not a problem. I called them again in September to make sure there was no scheduled service for October at my property and was told there was not.Come 10/31 and I get a text from the tech saying they were performing a service. I was not notified by Terminix at all that there was a schedule serviced and by then I had already moved from the property.I talked to 4 different people in the last 2 months including a manager (Paula) who told me they were going to investigate my issue (none of whom ever called me back to follow up on my issue despite promises to call me). I get told that it was determined that its my fault that I didnt cancel the service in time (more than 24 hour notice). Whoever did the haphazard investigation probably didnt read the notes like the other 4 people I spoke to who I had to re-explain the situation every time and then get told there are a lot of notes here. I called in July and September - I did give notice way more than 24 hours earlier. How is it my fault when I confirmed postponement of service and was told by customer service they would move the service? Am I just supposed to check my Terminix account each day to make sure Terminix doesnt screw me and just come out because they feel like it?Ive been in customer service and sales for 14 years and when a situation like this happens, you as a company admit the fault and remove the charge. Its a basic customer service grant. Instead, Terminixs collections team offers a discount on the past due service fee and then a free new service at my new property. Im an extremely fair and patient person normally and paying the service fee is not the issue (I did end up paying). but its a matter of principle. And in Terminixs case, they have none. After this experience, why would I ever want to work with this company and get myself screwed again? No thanks.Work with them if you please. Just be wary that if you ever have an issue, they will not value you as a customer.

Stay away from Terminix for rodent control . They won’t go onto roof for rodent exclusion. Yet asked to pay thousands of dollars. They closed small holes around the house but not the roof which is crucial part of rodent exclusion. Waste time, money and peace. Avoid at all costs .

After twenty years, I have finally terminated Terminix. The local office in Pleasanton is impossible to contact. Instead, if you have a question or a problem, you are shunted to a central call center where you never talk to the same person twice. You can spend hours on the phone trying to remedy a simple problem and still not have it communicated properly to the Pleasanton office, or--I presume--to whatever your local office of Terminix is. For example, I took a day off work last Friday to wait for a Terminix employee to show up to deal with a fungus problem under my porch. He/she was a no-show. After long conversations with the central Terminx people (who did not allow me to speak to the Pleasanton office), I managed to determine that Terminix had scheduled the visit for the wrong date, mistakenly putting October 27 instead of September 27. They acknowledged their error and offered to reschedule, but from the central office, they could not confirm that the new date they had given me would work for the Pleasanton office which they said would call me. The Pleasanton office never called. When I recontacted Terminix Central, I found that 1) They had never scheduled the new date 2) They still had someone coming to my house on the cancelled (and impossible) October 27th date. In other words, I had spent hours trying to deal with their mistake, and they had not managed to correct it. Stay away from Terminix. They are dysfunctional, non-responsive, and unreliable. Heaven help you if you have a problem. Terminix wont.

I am writing this review for my service technician, Jason Swanson. I was initially scheduled for an inspection for the weekend and Jason reached out to me and was able to schedule a next day appointment. I was unable to meet Jason the day of the inspection, however he went ahead and did it and sent me updates via cell phone pictures and calls.Jason went above and beyond and did a very thorough inspection of my newly purchased property. He inspected the very small crawlspace that every other inspector refused to go into as well as the attic and the rest of the property. We have been using Terminix for 15 years or so. We havent had any pest problems since we started using Terminix. We initially called Terminix because of ant infestation in our kitchen. And we havent had that problem in 15 years. Our service technician is punctual, courteous and communicates well. He lets know when he will be arriving, when the service is done and informs us of any issues that he found!!!! My only negative is that the price automatically increases on a yearly basis.... I did call to cancel my service recently, but the Customer Service rep on the phone, offered me deal which was too good to be true.... So I stayed with Terminix!!!

Technician showed up and seemed rude, unprofessional, and abrasive. I have a rodent problem in my house. He gave a half hearted inspection and when I asked for a quote, he suddenly seemed disinterested and stopped the inspection. Said he had other clients and didnt want to waste his time and wanted to cut to the chase. Uhhh, okay.. I recommend that you read the Yelp reviews before you get fooled by the 5 star Google reviews like I did. It seems like theyre more interested in upselling you on a contract that they may or may not fulfill. I still have a rat problem in my home and will go with someone elses business.

My experience with Terminix has been excruciating. I paid up front for service and have been struggling for the past several months getting them to send the right folks over. The exclusion people missed a gaping hole in my attic, (they even admitted theyre not sure how on earth they could have missed it) and when I called them to come fix it I had to wait several weeks. Still waiting on sanitation to clean the rat poop out of my attic, its crazy. I might need to hire someone else and take the thousand dollar hit. Never ever again.

The built in redundancy Terminix provides is most appreciated. About two weeks after its team came to the house to do their work. a Terminix supervisor came to inspect the teams work. He spent two hours reviewing and doing other things to fix the problem. Then, about 10-days later, another Terminix supervisor came to inspect - he also stayed for about two hours. The problem has been greatly diminished. Terminix understands customer service - its supervisors take great pride in their work. I never called for follow-up - Terminix followed up on its own.

My technician Devin is awesome. He informed me the day before he was coming, and what time he’ll arrived. I’ve been using this service for years now to take care of any bugs or insects. They sprayed & inspected the outside and since I’ve been using them, I got a full report after to let me know what was done & if there’s anything else that needs to be done. They never tried to upsell any additional services than what was needed, I don’t have spiders, ants or any insects inside my home. I strongly recommended them.

We had a rodent problem years ago and we had them clean out and sanitize under the house the 2 gentleman took care of the problem quickly they kept me informed and were very professional. The next day the another person came to sanitize the area and we had some fungus on the wood under one of the bathrooms and he removed it and put something on the wood to help prevent it from coming back. My experience with Terminix has once again been disappointing. Although my technician, Dana, that showed up for my appt was amazing. The disappointment, however, stems from being told that I would be scheduled for both pest control and mosquito control and finding out that day that I was not. I was only on the schedule for mosquito control. I was also scheduled for home inspection on that day but the night before find out that that appt had to be rescheduled because the inspector was overbooked and could not accommodate me. I tried to give Terminix another try after being away for years but the ball was dropped again.

Expensive/overpriced for what you get. The technicians are constantly changing, not trained on the property, and the effort and areas treated if often insignificant, resulting in call backs. However, that being said, I tried another company and ended up with ants in the first time in 23 years. So Terminex is better. I would expect that the technicians who are trusted with chemicals would be more of a subject matter expert than just another person that needs a job. Additionally, the frequent price increases appear to be punitive, for trying other companies and being a return customer. Aim higher and let the results and return customers speak for the job you are doing. Be and admired and appreciated company.

First of all, we were delighted with the service and care with which Ana Maria Navarro assessed our issues and provided detailed solutions. Honestly, I wish she could be our permanent inspector as she identified issues that previous inspectors should have uncovered. Ana was available to answer questions and walk us through the stressful process of packing and tenting preparations. Terminix should do whatever they can to hold on to this employee because she is the reason we stayed with Terminix and opted for preventative services.The tenting process went off without a hitch and we are completely satisfied with the process. All timelines were generally correct and we were able to re-enter our home at 1:00 on the third day.The post tenting fogging of the attic was less than we expected, however. The fogging device was place just inside the attic door and we question whether the substance extended to the far corners of the attic. Time will tell, I suppose.The perimeter protection of in-the-ground bait stations for subterranean termites was efficiently completed and we were pleased with the process. Our hope is this addition coverage will further protect our home from termites.We remain faithful Terminix customers.

I believe all service oriented businesses are really about the people who actually provide the service. In a competitive industry where the technologies and supplies are basically the same, the “service” comes down to the person who performs that service. I happen to have a technician who is professional, cares about his work and shares with me not only what the service entailed but also what he observed (positive or negative) and either what he did or what can be done to resolve and proactively prevent moving forward. I can also call or text him with any issues and he will find time to respond and provide his expertise on how to fix and prevent such issues. I’m lucky to have the person who services my home but can’t guarantee all service people, even from the same company, would care at the same level.

Over the years Terminix has been very reliable and effective at combating ground termites from munching on our house. About ten years ago they found 120 dirt tubes rising up from the ground and some attached to the bottom of our house. Some damage ensued, but after treatment, and yearly inspections, we have been termite free for over a decade now. We used to have swarms and swarms in the air in the springtime, now we might see one or two, and usually those fly over the fence from our neighbors house. They have been reliable, and effective. If I were to say anything critical, it would be that they could improve on their scheduling and coordination, but the service itself has been great.

Honestly, I think the company is good. However, their staff, not so much. We were appointed a CA Certified Inspector who rare to never answers their phone, doesnt reply to our text messages, and we never know when they will return to finish the job. We are forking out a small fortune (roughly 6.4k) to have our house (~1.6k square foot) mice free and install new insulation. We had a few problems getting a return visit, or an answer from anyone. Their third party contractor company, Alliance, is pretty good and their staff is great. However, from our experience, they dont get any information from Terminix at all until we have to call to complain. We are tired of calling, and determining the next steps when we are the customers. They even had to send a supervisor out to check up on a technician because they didnt do their job right (mouse proofing our house) the first time around! Well the problem is still there, we have one or two mice still around (its been over a month!), insulation isnt completed, but we got the bill!!Honestly, if youre ready to drop money, be dodged, waste your personal time, and never get a straight answer, feel free to sign their contract. Otherwise, go find someone more professional who actually gives a hoot about their customers.

This guys service our house. The technician rescheduled for another day called very late 1.5hr after he supposed to be onsite. My wife wasted a lots of time to remove stuff inside the kitchen cabinet and moved the fridge all the stuff. Finally technician Davin arrived the next day for the service. They removed the rats from my attic. To do this, they had to remove all the insulation (and rats), vacuum, fix the access points (vents), then replace insulation, after which they put in traps to assure all the rats are gone. This process took over 6 hours.The tech was supposed to follow up this morning to check the traps. So far, no tech and I havent heard from him.

Daryl did a great job! He talked to me prior to getting to my house and then again when he got there. He made sure he understood what the problems were and then took the time to make sure that he addressed them. Afterwards he explain to me what he did And made sure I didn’t have any questions. Overall, I am satisfied - the feedback could have been 10 out of 10. The only thing I would like to point out is the notification/follow-up for the service. I think I get service once every 3-4 months, and I have been getting at least a week notification prior to schedule. I called online to set up an account the first time, I paid in full, They gave me an appointment for the following weekend and asked to be out of the house so they have spray both inside and outside. I have 4 months old son and wanted to avoid any issues with chemicals so I booked a hotel and moved out for a day. The irony is they charged me two times (144 each visit) without completing work.I have been calling their customer care to file complaints but they do not have any process to file customer concerns, they keep telling me Branch/Regional Dept will call me which never happened.As a customer who has been charged twice without proper service, paid for the hotel twice and called 10+ times customer care, I feel terrible. Do not buy into termite services that they try to upsell you on. They dont fulfill their side agreement and will give you run around by trying upsell on another service that you think you already have. They also dont return calls, dont comply schedule appointments, and also refer you to 800 number and then the 800 refer you back to the branch. I dont recommend using them, but if you do, I just recommending doing their normal $39/month pest control service. The tech who comes out for normal service is awesome, respectful and knowledgeable, but I wouldnt trust anyone from the branch. Hopefully this helps making the a decision.

H of the technicians is consistent, high value of service for the cost and customer service at all levels of the organization has been excellent in my experience. I have not had any infestation problems for the past 18 years since I hired Terminix for an indoor ant problem back in 2003!

My consultant is always close to the time scheduled, if not early, and keeps in touch on day of. He knows I have dogs and tells me when to put them in the garage so they arent penned up any longer than necessary. He explains what he finds, what hes done about it or what needs to be done about it, and makes suggestions. If we have questions, he usually knows the answers. We have used the company for several years now. They do a really good job, and we are happy with their service.

My technician is a great communicator and always lets me know when she is coming a few days prior to my service and she always E-mails me a detailed report of the services provided. The technician Daryl, called ahead of time and informed me of an estimate time he would arrive. He showed up on time and addressed each of the concerns I had discussed with him in the call I received from him a few days prior to the service. After he finished he contacted me and provided additional follow up information about when my dog could go out and when I would be able to turn on my sprinklers. I would absolutely recommend Terminex and the technician that serviced my home.

Me and my fiance have been using them for 2 years and they never show up on time and quality is not the best. After the isue today being insulted by the technician about getting the time wrong even though the app and the person who called confirmed the time they showed up 3 hours early when no one was home and didnt even fnish the yearly inspection. We will be finding another company to work with. Waste of time.

I signed up for the annual contract and the first 6 months they were great; however, the past 6 months has been absolutely horrible. They missed 3 appointments already. Never once did they call to let me know they cant make it and that we need to reschedule. Called the phone number and nobody ever picks up. Always have to wait for someone to call back. When they do call back, they said they only thing they can do is write an e-mail to the branch director and regional director and that they will call me back within 24 to 48 hours to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, they never call back within those time frame or even a call back at all. Today will be the 4th time that they cancelled on me and did not call to let me know. The representative said she did the protocol by sending an e-mail and thats all she can do and hung up on me. No call back from her either. Maybe the other surrounding service is better; however, the Pleasanton surrounding area is the absolute worse! I want to cancel their service, but they said only the regional manager can do that but at the same time the manager is not calling me back and they wont let me get his e-mail. It seems like they are quick to get my money but is not providing any service.

I have their annual service to provide an insect spray around the perimeter of my house. The technician I currently have does a meticulous job of cleaning webs, and reaching wasp nests in the 2nd story eaves. He is always punctual, communicates when he is in route, when he arrives, and what service he has provided.Daniel Morris is the reason I am currently a customer of Terminix. Ive had other technicians that have left the gates open, (I have dogs) Ive had technicians that come and go in less than 10 min. Daniel is thorough, courteous, and professional. I would recommend him anytime without hesitation.

We were having a spider issue. Terminix took care of all bugs. Great communication about each visit. The technician removes cobwebs under eaves and treats the whole perimeter of the house .

Technician showed up, was here for 15 minutes max. Recommended we tent the house, should do this every 10 years. Never located any termites. We asked for a bid to be done on the tenting and over 1 week later nothing. E-mail and voicemail sent to the inspector and still nothing. I will spend my money elsewhere, every single time! The only reason I gave 1 star is I could not post with no stars.....

Made an online booking for a termite inspection. Received an email with a date and time, but Terminex was a no-call and no-show. Luckily we have no paid them for any services yet. Looks like we dodged a bullet.Update: Terminex called me and explained their system mistakenly posted that time slot and they weren’t open at that time. I booked a week later for a Friday afternoon. Tech called me an hour later saying he isn’t actually available and canceled.

My technician Leo Aiello is great he always takes his time and does a great job but on Thursday he went above and beyond! He was kind enough to move packages that were delivered earlier in the day behind the pillar out of sight then placed the invoice with my packages. I inherited this contract during a takeover from former management. My previous experience with Terminix has been terrible, but Ive not written a review until now. Communication is lacking, technicians do not show up for scheduled service and then when you call, nothing happens. They just give you the runaround. I gave a resident their number and Terminix lied and said there was no record of service, when I have access to the online dashboard and records. Dishonest, poor service, no communication. You are better off using any other service besides this one.

Booked inspection with them online, confirmed via text message. Tech named lance didn’t show up by blaming I didn’t call him back. Scheduled another appointment for the same day, got no show from him as well. He didn’t respond to call/text, but informed his rep to tell me that he’s not coming and blaming I didn’t get in touch with him. Totally unprofessional, and definitely taking my business else where.

My technician, Nyziq Smith, is awesome! Hes friendly, informative, and thorough. I continue with Terminix because of his service. He literally called me on a weekend that he wasnt working and spoke with me for nearly 30mins to explain the ant behavior I was seeing where theyd invaded my kitchen. I absolutely get anxiety when I see ants. He knew this from being my technician for so long, and wanted to ease my mind. I really appreciated that extra effort.
