I brought my PlayStation 5 to Tech Builders because of some overheating issues. They were able to diagnose for “free” ($50 refundable diagnostic) and provide me with a quote to repair my console. The diagnostic did take awhile (about 10 days), but the repair process was instant, and the quote I received was well priced and the warranty they provide to all repairs was well worth it. The only minor complaint I had was that my PlayStation 5 did come back with non-removable scratches on the plates, and my PlayStation was fairly dirty when I got it back. Overall I do recommend Tech Builders, they offer great services to their customers and I would definitely come back.

EDIT: a month later the issue is BACK! “Plugged in not charging” this was a scam place and 160 bucks for NOTHING!Everyone here is very nice and friendly!I think there was a miscommunication somehow when I brought my laptop in because I never agreed to get it fixed, I wanted just the free diagnosis. I was told I could get my 50 $ deposit back if I decided not to get my laptop fixed. I received an email 2 days after leaving my laptop with them saying “finalizing” I thought it was for the diagnosis. I called the next day to see if it was ready and went to pick it up and ask about the issue so I can see my options from there but I was told that me and my dad already agreed to do the fix but I never did agree to that when I came in and neither did my dad when I called him after I left. It was emphasized to me when I first came in that I could get my 50 $ back if I didn’t want to do the fix so I’m not sure why they went ahead and fixed it for me. They said they email you every step of what’s happening with your laptop, but I only received the one email saying “finalizing.” I never received any other step of what was going on with my laptop or to confirm if I wanted or did not want a fix.I paid the remaining 95$ anyway and I’m hoping I don’t have an issue with my laptop again. I did want some time to think about if I wanted to fix it or not because 145$ is pricey and I wanted to see my options after finding out the diagnosis first, so I wish there was some sort of physical paper that the customer signs once they drop their device off that clearly showed if they did want to do the fix or just the diagnosis so the miscommunication doesn’t happen. Although they have you fill out your info after scanning a QR code and I only checked the 50 dollar refundable free diagnosis. I don’t know why they told me I said I wanted the fix when I did not check those boxes on the form I filled out. It feels like I was taken advantage of.

I try to spend my money in my city and when my PS5 stop working I chose this location for repairs. Unfortunately the communication and inconsistencies in their explanation made me weary of the repair being performed. I was told it was fixed and when I came to pick it up it was not functioning. I was asked to leave it again and that someone would call me, 3 days later no call, I ended up picking it up with no repair and a week of my time wasted. I’d stay away, poor communication and false promises of repair. I can’t speak on their repairs since they didn’t fix my PS5.

After waiting a month to get my device Diagnosed i was told my device could not be fixed. I got a second and third opinion. The second opinion said that who ever tried to fix it might of made it worst and they didnt want to do any further damage. The third opinion said they agreed with the second opinion but they could fix the device. After a diagnoses within the same day they also fix the device in the same day. Tech builders couldnt really tell me what was wrong and could not fix it. And potentially made the situation worst and wasnt honest about it either. maybe they probably specialize in fixing computers. Idk

You may think they are helping you but they are just ripping you off. Brought my computer to them and they said 3 days but it was actually 2 weeks. When they finally got back to me they diagnosed the computer with a major issue and a hefty price. They did wipe the computer but we decided that we would get second opinion. We brought it to geek squad and they said computer had no issues and it has been working ever since. Dont trust this place.

The way the reviews were mentioned to defend all the shadiness made this place feel even more shady.I wanted a second opinion to confirm some pc motherboards I had were done for, and unfortunately came to this place. A woman greeted me and asked where the rest of my computer is because they needed my whole computer in order to check my motherboards. Computers are somewhat of a hobby of mine and I thought this was a weird request for a computer repair place since having the whole computer is not necessary. I was then given the price of $45 to check each motherboard and if repairs were possible they would fix it otherwise I’d be out of $90. I asked to speak with a tech so I could explain something specific I wanted tried on my motherboards. This woman said they have no techs there, they don’t work like that, and to trust her because of the great reviews on Google. Throughout this entire interaction anytime I heard something off or weird, she assured me by mentioning how great their reviews were on Google. She then tried to quickly troubleshoot my motherboard issue and asked if I had roaches. The roaches’ questions really threw me off and I was shocked, upset, and altogether uncomfortable at this place.I am not sure what this place is doing or why they need an entire pc to trouble shoot a motherboard. I ended up going down the street to Hi-Tek Solutions and they diagnosed my motherboards free.*******End Original Post*******To the owner:I called this place shady because of your representatives’ request for my entire PC to troubleshoot, my inability to ask the tech questions/requests, and then your representative directing me towards your Google reviews as solution to my questions and concerns. In contrast: Hi Tek Solutions asked me questions about my motherboard and tried to legitimately troubleshoot (entire PC never requested, reviews not mentioned once, and roaches never mentioned). Even more shady is that you are editing your responses, and changing the language included.To original response before editing: I brought in two motherboards, not a laptop, and they were already removed from the PC and did not require disassembling or reassembling – there are no “pieces to scatter”. I did not mention time once in my review. I totally understand the need for a lunch break for technicians, but I don’t understand why I couldn’t ask them questions/requests and to only be referred to your Google reviews instead.To the edited version of the response: It was explained that regardless of whether my motherboards were fixed or not, I would be charged $45 each – there were no options or levels explained other than take it or leave it. I was never given an option to speak with a tech and simply told, “We don’t work like that,” and to trust this place because of the great Google reviews.Doubling down on your representatives, “Do you have roaches?” comment is very telling of the professionalism. Maybe you’re familiar with dealing with roach infestations and outright accusing others of having roaches, but I am not.

In few words…They saved my semester. Neelam is my tech angel.Out of nowhere my costume PC was showing an error and it would not work at all, I was desperate, going into finals at school I needed a quick and reliable solution, and I found Tech Builders. They fixed my computer over night, kindly found, bought and changed a new motherboard for my computer, cleaned everything (it was reallyyyy dusty) and when I got back home they guided me for over an hour on the phone to help me instal new drivers. THE BEST place I’ve been, comparing it to different places in different countries and US states. Amazing service.

They are very fast at identifying the problem and very patient (I can be very indecisive). Exceedingly nice to me over the phone, and I believe they gave me a good deal for replacing my hard drive.Only complaint I have is they took a while to get the data and return my laptop, however they kept saying the data was coming out corrupted due to the previous harddrive was failing. Which is very understandable.Since I needed my laptop back, they were able to sell me an external drive with the data uploaded onto that so I can get my laptop back faster. And they upgraded me to windows 11.Thank you! Will recommend.

Great service! I needed my battery replaced, I first had an appointment at Geek Squad, instead of installing the new battery that I had already bought and taken to them, they told me to book another appointment and leave my computer for two days. I couldnt do that, I need my computer for work. I took it to Tech Builders without an appointment and two hours later they had installed the battery. Thank you so much Tech Builders.

I brought in my Surface pro with battery issues and I couldnt find any business that would take it in to see bc of how compact the components were, but Tech Builders took a look at it for free and got back to me in good time. I think the repair service price was a good deal. There were issues with the new batteries they ordered, but Rain has made an effort to help me and give me updates when I was out on a trip out of town. They packaged it to me and it works like new. Im very satisfied with their service.

I have a dinosaur of a laptop, I had taken it to another local repair shop previously for some repairs with issues of it running slow, after I picked it up, it was faster than what it was before, but still very slow. So, I decided to take it to another shop in hopes that my experience would be better, as well hoping for a much better result. So yesterday, I decided that I was going to try this other shop (Tech Builders) I met with Rain, she was very helpful, professional and assured me that if my dinosaur was too old to repair that she would contact me and advise me. I did not hear from the shop and I had arrived to pick up my computer, Rain had advised me that my computer was running good and that everything was fine, she also advised that all my programs that were uploaded previously, were uploaded incorrectly and corrupted (previous repair shop). She had advised me that all they did was, remove all the programs and uploaded everything once again without the errors made previously and OMG!!!! I can honestly say that I have a New Computer internally, but still a dinosaur on the outside. My experience with Tech Builders was OUTSTANDING and I would recommend everyone to have all your repairs done with Tech Builders. They are fast and very reasonable. I have found a New home for my computer and also made a New Friend. Thank you very much Rain for your re-assurance and I Thank her team at Tech Builders for diligence and expertise. I WILL BE BACK.

Ive taken my iMac Desktop there twice now, once for an upgrade and once for a repair. These folks not only know what they are doing, but are quick to respond and very helpful. The repair was so fast and easy (software problem) that I was out of the store in 10 minutes and there was no charge, as the problem was just something to do with a password problem. But when they do charge their prices are fair.This is now my Go to computer repair shop!

I called everywhere looking for a Sata to USB cable. They were the only place that had one. We weren’t sure if the cable would successfully connect my old hard drive to my new MacBook, but they let me try in store before officially purchasing the cable. They even helped me remove some screws in order to connect the hard drive. It worked perfectly! I am very thankful for their help!

I bought my HP laptop at Best Buy in Downey landings 3 yrs ago, one day I tried to plug in my charger to my laptop & would not go in all the way (it was not charging). So I took it Best Buy Geek squad for a diagnosis and informed me the connection pin inside the cord & inside the laptop was damaged. The Geek squad rep informed me that it would cost me $700.00 to have it repaired so I booked it to have it repaired, which the GS rep tried to book an appointment which would their office informed them it could be fixed on site. (long story short) the GS rep said had to speak with manager & came back & told me there was nothing they can do & said being the lap top was 3 yrs old for me to JUNK IT & buy a new one. I was horrified.While in the parking lot, I Googled Computer Repair near me & Tech Builders was one of the options which had a 4.9 rating so I took a chance an went.And guess what happened????Tech Builders fixed my problem in 1 day & it cost me $145.00 & given me a 30 days warranty .... My laptop was turning on, i thought about resetting it, but i have photos on it that i did not want to lose. I brought it to the store, Rain was helpful and did a free diagnosis. The price range they quoted was reasonable and they also made a backup before starting work. I got a quote over phone, and it was cheaper than the initial quote. My wife and I spent months looking for a gaming computer for our sons 12th birthday. We were referred to Tech Builders by a close friend and are very happy with the connection. They built our computer within a week with high quality warrantied components. Put a new graphics cards in my Precision Dell did a good job. My laptop had Windows 7 so they put in Windows 10 64-bit for free did have to pay a license fee because I had Windows 7 they just transfer it great job. Any data problem putting on a new hard drive SSD on my laptop 1 gig great job. Weeks later my software was put on a server company which was hacked buy them I would not recommend this person to put software I told him to put my license number they would not do it they said they got for free I have reported them to Microsoft. On my ministration on my laptop will not accept my phone number that means someones phone phone numbers on there server outside server through them.
