Jeff at Sweasy was great to work with! I saw a house in Shell Beach listed that I was very interested in purchasing and Hal at Sweasy was listed as the selling agent. He connected me with Jeff and I met him at the house and had him put in an offer. It was accepted and the whole process was smooth and easy with Jeff. He took care of the repairs before escrow closed (met with repair guys) which was great. I’d work with Jeff again for future purchases.

Our experience with Team Sweasey was nothing short of excellent. Our house sat on the market for six months without any serious offers. We couldn’t understand why. It was an immaculate place in excellent condition. Everyone that saw the house loved the house, but we got no serious offers, and our listing expired without our house being sold. That all changed when we listed it with Team Sweasey just one month later at a higher asking price. Team Sweasey was totally confident they would have our house sold quickly. Sure enough, the 1st day on the market, we got two full price offers with several other people interested. A couple of days later we got additional offers, one of them above our new higher asking price and we accepted it. The communication with Team Sweasey was unbelievable. Hal was Great!! He helped us sell a house in SLO and was the consummate professional. He either answers his calls himself or has his team check in quickly. I never felt like I was waiting around for him. He responds to email and always gave me great advice, including turning down a full price offer so that we could get a full feel for the current market. He made us an extra $100,000 with that recommendation alone. I loved that Hal told me what he thought we should do because it was in my best interest, not his. I cannot more highly recommend Hal. We absolutely loved working with her! She is amazing, extremely patient and professional. She has made sure our interests as buyers were protected at all times. Our buying experience was made so much easier in this crazy seller’s market by Jennifer and Hals amazing team. Jennifer ended up getting us an incredible deal. We also loved working with Dakota Bailey (our escrow manager)! He is incredibly patient and professional as well. As soon as the escrow opened, Dakota sent us a detailed escrow timeline and explained everything in detail and clearly. He arranged essentially everything – home inspection, repairs, etc. He also checked in with everyone involved with the escrow to make sure that it proceeded smoothly. Our escrow closed in 3 weeks!Hals recommendation for a lender (Alex Miller at Pacific Trust Mortgage) was spot on. Alex was also instrumental in closing our escrow in 3 weeks.After the close of the escrow, Team Sweasey (Dakota) is still there for us with referrals for contractors, pest control, etc. to take care of our new house. Hal and his team were great. During this period, there has been almost no inventory in our price range. Zilch. Still, Team Sweasey -- Hal, Graeme, and Dakota -- stayed in touch with us a few times per week. We discussed three different condos earlier. We discussed buying a parcel and building our own place, though ultimately the parcel couldnt be purchased from dual owners. Finally, a place in our price range came on the market, and Graeme called us early on Day One. We met him at the condo within the hour of his call that morning, and we made an offer. I was lucky enough to find Hal and Wina through a friend of mine who recommended their office. I had been talking to other agents and didnt realize how lost and misguided I was until I met Hal and Wina. They had my best interests from the very beginning! There were some suggestions they made to me in the beginning about how to narrow down my interest but being my first home, I was all over the place. After all of my indecisiveness, I came to realize that their suggestion was actually the perfect match for me! In thinking back of my five months knowing Melody Avant, I’m almost moved to tears with how much she feels like family to me. She’s been instrumental in this phase and chapter of my life and has been through the thick and thin of it with me. She seen my good and (way) bad sides and she still stuck with me! I tend to buy houses once every 23 years, so I forgot how it all happened the first time around, but Melody was so gentle and effective in helping me move through all my emotions, this time around. I’m kind-of an alarmist and hand-wringer when you get right down to it and she’s talked me off the bridge so many times with her gentle nature and logical mind— yet I feel more akin to her in a deeper way.I somehow was magically paired up with her when I called the office after I was interested in a house with a ‘for sale’ sign for her real estate company out front. Turned out that one was in escrow, so I asked if she could show me houses at a bigger price point, since that’s what I thought I would have after the sale of my house. Well, turns out, I was WAAAY off with my funds and had to start over again at a lower price point. She never batted an eye and we started in a different direction.She always remembered my likes and dislikes (which are really quirky and way different from normal people) and she kept that in mind when looking at houses.Melody: “I’m sorry to say, this one has granite countertops and stainless steal appliances..”Me: UgMelody was also deeply empowering (I know this sounds, Marin-county, woo-woo, but it was really a turning point when I realized she was like family) when my 12-year-old niece didn’t want to go to a sketchy property I asked to see, and Melody said that we didn’t have to go in, even though I felt obligated. I really liked that she had our safety and comfort in mind, putting her reputation of missing an appointment secondarily. It really resonated with me, being a single female- scared of my shadow- looking at properties.So, it was with the daily emails from Team Sweasey that I found my ‘forever home’ and Melody wrote the proposal an hour after I texted her about really thinking it was a gem. I’m just beside myself in love with my new, little house. It has everything I dreamt of and more.
