I posted a review one week ago regarding my recent ordeal with this company when calling to report notices received from IRS. Instead, I received the upmost disrespect from Michelle in customer service. I called out from work that night because I was so terribly upset about being spoke to that way by her and hung up on. I looked over each tax that was preparesd and they are all incorrect. I must reiterate, NOT one time has anyone reached out to me about the status since initiated, I periodically checked in on the status. After last week I left messages with Bruce (041824), left a message for Monica via vmail (041924), spoke to Patrick (041924) who stated he will call me back and never did, spoke to Kim later that evening who stated she would remind him, 042324. THIS WEEK, I called and got Michelle who stated at this point because of your review Ill have management call you back. No call back from anyone.I called today (042424) and was trsfd blindly my Marie then Patrick was on the line, when I asked about last week call back that i didnt receive he then blind trsfd me to RYAN MCCARTHY the MANAGER, who basically said I was trying to get a refund due to being financially strapped and thats not how things work. Ryan stated an email with tax year 19, 20, 21 were sent to me by email via a tax preparer who is no longer affiliated with TAG (where is 16, 17, 18). He called me rude, would not listen and also stated I paid $2,500 upfront and financed the remainder which has been paid off! Either way they received $5000 for a service they did not do and is in breach of contract. He did not take any Accountability, did not apologize for anything. TAG you can not retain consumers money for a job they entrusted you to do and not do it. The services stated in my contract has not been done. You guys have not touched my account since the tax preparer group parted ways with you! RYAN also stated they would complete the job if I remove the Google review, we cant service you with that review on our site. Please check the BBB they have over 30 complaints. Im sure they have had some people remove their reviews due to bullying. You where paid for a service that you did not render, and have not attempted to render. I spent a week trying to get someone to go over the tax years Michelle sent via email last week, yet got the run around. Its been 2 years of checking in...no one has ever said anything about an email sent back in Sept 2022. You guys told me I was accepted in the forgiveness program which was why I retained you along with getting my back years done. Please do not just read the reviews on this page, go to the BBB. Ryan stated I cant get a full refund because I paid 1/2 up front and financed the difference. That makes no sense. But, do the math....$42.47weekly for the past 2 years=paid....also, the monies for the loan was given to the company at start of this contract. Again, I am requesting a full refund of $5000 for breach of contract and services not rendered and based on deferred revenue!

I started with Tax Advocate Group 2 years ago, the only communication I received is when I called them! They have filed my tax years and they are not correct and now will not talk to me to discuss, when I call they answer and immediately transfer me back in the waiting que. I paid $5000 with the notion of tax forgiveness. I was told I was accepted into the program and now being told something different. Ive spoken with Michelle who was totally rude and blantly told me $5000 is nothing, look over the years we filed and call us back...she hung up. Alex, Alan, and Nicole didnt help nor did they try. Again, the only communication I received is when I called to speak with them about where things were.

I have paid 600$ to have 2 years of taxes done and have received nothing. They have a number that I call and it always goes to voice mail and I never get a call back. The guy I was working with Jared supposedly works in a different department so I can’t talk to him. I’m going to have to hire an attorney or take then to small claims court. Ridiculous!

I highly recommend this firm. They provided me with a consistently high-quality service that was tailored specifically to my needs. From the very first meeting, the attorneys took the time to meet with me personally. They listened to every aspect of my predicament and presented me with viable solutions to my particular situation. At every step, they took the time to explain the process in detail. Whenever I had any question, they answered it clearly and have demonstrated great kindness, patience, and overall professionalism. Best of all, I settled with the IRS for approximately 10% of what was owed! Needless to say, I am very pleased with the service.

I have been with Tax Advocate Group for 2 + years and have gotten absolutely NO RESULTS from this firm. Unfortunately they are in CALIFORNIA or I would pay personal visit to their office. With so much SCAMMING going on these days, I am beginning to question whether I made a bad choice in choosing TAG. I have had several Case Managers ( who are NO LONGER with TAG), one thing I can say is they are VERY PROMPT in drafting my bank account each month. I called today and was placed on hold forever, called back and was told TAG was very busy, but be patient and someone would call me back. (when I dont have a clue when that may be) so Ill just sit and wait glued to my phone I guess, whats another 2 or three months. I dont mean to be Negative, I just want some positive efforts in my case or REFUND and I will go elsewhere. I would like to write a POSITIVE REVIEW on this firm? and will when I have a reason to.UPDATE 05/23/22Within 24 hours of my review a TAG representative contacted me which I will say after our 1st conversation concerning my tax issue seemed to genuinely want to see if he could help. He listened to everything that concerned me, didnt over talk me. The representatives name is Todd. Since the initial call from him, he has called even though we have been playing phone tag a number of times to discuss my case. My plan is to work with Todd and hopefully resolve my tax issue soon. When all is resolved, hopefully Ill be able to adjust my review to 5 stars on the reviews.

Last year, I found myself in a near desperate situation due to my accountant succumbing to an undiagnosed condition midway through preparing my taxes. He had worked with me for quite some time, so suddenly I was faced with finding an accountant that was trustworthy AND affordable. I am not completely savvy on the computer but I did some research and fortunately came across Tax advocate groupI read only positive reviews (hence, my writing this now). My former accountant was local and I was wary of working with someone long distance. I was pleasantly surprised by how responsive Joshua and the entire team was! They listened to my situation and had a plan of action immediately. They came up with a payment plan that was affordable, quick and easy. Anytime I had a question or needed some information there was always someone available and never once was I left hanging, not knowing what to do. I want to give them 10 star rating, but the meter only goes to 5. So consider this an optimum rating for a top notch company.

This company is a scam. They had my case for a year and absolutely nothing has been done. Everytime I press them for results, they get rude and aggressive and tell me theyll just return my money and drop me. That has happened multiple times. Most recently I said fine, return my money. Now, they refuse to issue a refund unless I sign an incredibly broad nondisclosure agreement that prohibits me from reviewing or discussing the company and their services, or lack thereof. I will NOT do that and communicated as much in writing. They have failed to comply with their own contract but want to retain the financial benefit of the contract unless I waive additional rights to free speech. As this review indicates, NOT HAPPENING.I reached out to the IRS to resolve my own case and made more progress in a single hour of a day than TAG made in a full year. Do yourself a favor - do anything other than hire this company with your hard earned funds. They will waste them, verbally abuse you, and utterly fail to help you.Also note that all but 2 of the good reviews for this company are by people who have no other reviews aside from the one for TAG. so they are likely planted. The bad reviews are from people with multiple reviews.

TAG is great. Eric Is still in the process of resolving our tax problems with the IRS. So far so good. He’s done a great job explaining to us the process and keeps us up-to-date on the status. I highly recommend you call them if you’re having issues with your taxes

Upon our first phone meeting, Remy was very friendly and helpful in answering all my questions. He is clearly a true expert in the field because whatever doubts I had he cleared with professionalism and experiences. I like the fact that he has many clients in my industry and was generous to share values. I would definitely recommend Remy to all.

Working with Angela has been amazing! She saved me so trouble much down the line when it came to my business taxes and payroll issues I was having. I’m so glad to have connected with them and will definitely be using them for anything Tax and IRS related.
