I love this target, not because its close to me, well yes, thats one reason, but everything is pretty clean and organized. The staff and pharmacy is very helpful, nice, considerate and knowledgable. of the many things that stuck out every time I visit, this one particular interaction with a team member in the pharmacy section, Chris M, i think (apologies if his last initial is incorrect). I was looking for a single box for covid 19 and could not find it as I was looking for a specific one, which was not there. I was also looking for robitussin, which i couldnt find as well. I saw a younger team member that was putting away stock near the pharmacy and things related area and asked him here the robitussin was, then after that i asked him where the covid tests were and showed him a picture of what i was looking for via the target app. it looked like he was trying to say something, but as the same time it looked like he was reading my lips. he gave me pretty strong details on where the robitussin was and with the covid 19 test kit, he scanned the tag and it seems that it was not ready to be stocked, im not sure, but how much he didnt take a second away from helping me find the items i needed and while seemingly reading my lips, I was very impressed with his overall service, personality, work ethic and the interaction of his help. shout out to Chris M. near the pharmacy area for reading my lips and knowing what i needed and where exactly to find them. aside from the particular covid test not readily available, it was not a big deal, I value his service and quick actions and knowledge when I needed it.

This target is not very good at keeping certain items stocked. Ive been looking for food thermoses and stanley cups there and they have none and when I went back a week later, there still was none so please stock your shelfs better. Im going back today to check again so if they do, Ill give 5 stars.

I love this Target for the most part. The selection of items and the stocked shelves are always a plus. Everything about my experience at this target has been pleasant up until today. I’m not sure if it’s just society lately, but people as cashiers have become so lazy and inconsiderate.I decided today to take my items to a checkout stand rather than going to self checkout (which is what I normally do). The cashier asked me if I needed bags, I replied with “No thank you I have my own”, and proceeded to set my reusable bag on the counter before placing any of my items on the belt to get scanned. She throws my reusable bag on the counter where items are placed after checkout, still folded. Then she begins scanning my items and placing them directly next to my folded bag, that I brought for my items to be placed in. Long story short, she was inattentive, not sociable, and she NEVER bagged my items. That is literally what cashiers get paid for: to bag items & scan & be friendly to customers. If I’m not at self checkout, I never expect to bag my own items unless I ask for the cashier to not touch them.Learn from my mistake and be sure to ask for the cashier to bag your items when you go next time.

An absolutely huge target with anything you could possibly want. feels moderate and clean with good air conditioning. customer service is super chill and quick. I agree its starting to get expensive but hopefully prices cool down..

The parking area is big and shelves are all organized and packed. Im originally from FL and this store location had everything I was looking for. The only thing that kept me from giving it a 5 star rating is that the layout of the store is very odd and confusing.

I ordered airpods from this store. The box was delivered empty. Someone at fedex stole the airpods, resealed the box, then delivered it. Target customer service had no sympathy and said they couldnt do anything. The Target representative then hung up on me. Dont buy from here. Target doesnt care about its customers.

This Target store appears to sanction the behavior of extremely rude employees. Based on the nasty behavior of a cashier who got away with being very rude and then arrogantly smirking about it, I will not shop at this Target again and do not recommend this location.UPDATE: In response to my complaint, I received a call from Target’s corporate office. Target informed me that they do not sanction rude behavior and that there would be consequences for the employee’s rude behavior. Way to go Target!!

It’s one of the busiest store in tanforan shopping center. You get nice baby items here. Very less collection for male. And it’s difficult to carry cart to parking space. Overall good store.

This Target has a truly atrocious layout. Home furniture is spread across all the corners of the second floor, except for kitchenware, which is down on the first floor. Electronics are on the second floor except for a few appliances on the first floor. The air feels stale like theres no fans blowing fresh air.

This store had no products on its shelves. Everything except two items that I needed was out of stock. Very disappointed. The cart transfer system to get up to the 2nd floor was broken and there was a que for the elevator so I left my cart for 10 minutes to go up and look for heat I needed. I came back and my items were gone. Frustrating. Shop elsewhere.

This Target is one for the books. On the way in from parking lot, a man was pulling a rather nice propane bbq grill and talking to his imaginary friends about something. Then, while walking around the store there was a sales display featuring some suntan lotion named Coola. Translated from Spanish to English the definition equates to the profane word for butt. Why did the Manufacturer not do any research on that name? It didnt seem very popular, surprise!Other than that the visit was pretty much like every other trip to Target... complete with rude people standing behind you while waiting for the self-checkout. They were even audibly commenting and complaining about how slow people were as if the value of their time was penutimely superior to that of everyone else.I still wonder about the guy dragging the grill... Would he have cooked up something if I had brought out some meat, veggies, sauce and beer? 🤔 🤔 🤔 One could guess that he might be a good chef if that grill was important enough to him that he would expend all that energy to drag it everywhere!

The Tanforan store is unbearably hot 🥵 uncomfortable and understaffed. It’s difficult to get any assistance taking more than a minute or two because the remaining staff have a ton of other things to do. Some are nice and tell me this, some are downright rude. I found some nice things, but the prices were high and the service was low. And did I mention that the store was extremely hot and uncomfortable? 😣I have permanent damage to my back and I was carrying something too heavy for me and it was really starting to hurt, and I didn’t know where the carts were. An employee I asked said to follow the main path to the carts 🛒 and I had no idea what the hell she was talking about. I told her I was directionally dyslexic and asked her to show me. She refused, pointed out a finger in the air and said, “It’s that way.” Then she walked off to do more important things than helping a customer. I ended up finding another customer who also didn’t know and had only a few things in his cart. I ended up talking him into giving it to me. I’m glad that I at least found a kind customer to help me out.I also dislike the way that stores are trying to force us all into the self checkout. You aren’t paying me and I have a bad back. All of you stores can just forget about me doing the work for you.All in all, I found the experience here hot 🥵, exhausting, frustrating and uncomfortable. I seriously doubt that I will come back to this store again. It’s too much money and trouble for too little benefit.

Big boi target! Theres both an elevator and an escalator which has a special lane for your shopping carts, which I think is pretty neat. The store is well-organized, especially considering its size, and the bathrooms are pretty clean. No complaints from me. :)

I have been going to Target for years, but now prices are becoming just ridiculously expensive and I’m realizing that I have to start to shop somewhere else. This is very sad because I love the variety Target has and has grown and improved through the years, but definitely seeing one product going up $3.00 more from one visit to the next, is a total abuse to the customer. Target is always close by to where I live, but I would definitely need to start looking somewhere else even if it’s way further away, but I think I won’t be able to be able to afford Target anymore.

Great service and good, clean use of space. All the food was fresh, the service was courteous, and prices were great for the Bay Area. Some shelves were locked up, but thats not the stores fault. Its sad that even out at Tanforan theres that much shoplifting that they need to lock up toiletries. Anyways, it was definitely a pleasant place to shop with lots of parking.

I always look forward going to Target. I go like 2 times a month and they always have new stuff to wear. Reasonably priced as well!The food department is extensive, as well as the cosmetics. A bit thin on the electronics I unfortunately have to add. But other then that there is always a friendly associate to help a person out. And they are open late!Very clean, and brightly lit place!That’s good. I’m a bit older now, and my eyes aren’t as good as they used to be. Plus, it keeps you awake! Lol

This rating is not for everything. Its just my experience today what I was looking for was outrageously priced cell phone case and they didnt know what I was looking for anyway. Its overwhelming they need to label. The case is better so that you can go in and just go by name see what you want other than that it was fine. I like target glad its here. I hope it doesnt go the way of all the other stores. You know in the past so grateful to be able to shop there.

Think of your grandma and grandpa who live close to this establishments where they get their meds and groceries! Their lives is most affected when places like this close up. Was charged $4 more per item and the staff refused to help me change the pricing when I just purchased it and showed them proof of the exact same item being $4 cheaper. I will be returning the items. 6/19/23. This is an update. I placed an on-line order Friday evening 6/17/23 that consisted of three items. Since it was just before the store closed I received e-mail notification that my order was ready for pickup Saturday morning. Since I was busy I was unavailable to pick up my order until 1/2 hour before the store closed Sunday evening. All three items in my order were in my order. I told the young man I did not need a bag so he proceeded to remove the three items from the Target bag. Since I paid for the items on-line when I checked out there was no necessity in having to pay for my order. Overall the process is smooth and efficient. This is my fourth time ordering from Target this was and 99.9 percent of the time things are great.I ordered a number of items. Only later when I checked on the status did I learn that one item, a set of full size sheets, was sold out. Needless to say I was disappointed.The good news is that I have become extremely dependent on Amazon. Shopping at Target with the option to pick up my purchases in hours is a great alternative. The prices are comparable to what is available on Amazon.

I ordered a few home products from Target.com and opted to pick them up from the store. The pickup station was right inside the entryway and easy to find. The customer service representative quickly looked up my name and found my order since I could not find the barcode in the email receipt I had. He was able to find my prepared bag and hand it over to me within a minute.I would have liked to have known more about the parking lot pickup option, but I didn’t mind entering the store.

Half the bathroom stalls were liked. Clothing so haphazardly placed I had no idea how to find what I needed. Fitting room unattended and a mess. If there is theft, maybe that’s a good reason why. Personal items, such as deodorant or Tend Skin, were under locked glass, a couple of aisles, but no employee in sight to get products needed, shampoo that I did have access to (just one brand at aisle end) was covered with dust and creepy. Only one check out aisle open, the rest self check. Problems with this store seems down to understaffing. People would shop more (maybe steal less) if there were helpful employees, decent bathrooms, clean products, easier to navigate and be even able to choose personal items without chasing down an employee and exposing them to the products I use that I consider and are called personal. It truly was a terrible experience.

Not only does this target have the worst inventory, now everything is locked up. Im sorry I dont have an hour to waste hunting down an employee for every item I need. After the 5th item the other day I walked out. And why install self checkout upstairs and not allow anyone to use it but only ever have 2 registers open downstairs.

Pretty good Target, wish they were open until 12am like the old days though!One thing I do have to say that is MASSIVELY in Targets favor post-COVID: their staff and security force really seem to make an effort not to stereotype, profile and discriminate based on race, age/gender or assumed poverty level. I really like being able to walk into a place and not be followed around from aisle to aisle from entrance to exit. Two thousand twenty-two thumbs way up for Targets true understanding that Black and brown lives matter just as much as Caucasian ones!

The current under construction pick up area needs to be reconfigured so that customers waiting for an order can be seen by employees inside filling orders. Twice Ive had to move and stand in the opening to be helped or ask the managers/leads in red vests to help. If you dont want customers blocking the door opening then keep checking or have a bell to ring.

Convenient location and hours. They have many pickup order promotions, so be sure to check if your items are one of them. However, the promotion is not very widely available for many products, and the promoted products change from time to time. I was glad that I didnt order everything in one order because the other item I left in the cart had additional pickup order promotion when I ordered the next time! Nonetheless, the promotion is usually just few cents difference so youll have to decide if thats worth your time and gas mileage.

The baby could have fallen OFF the edge!! When I got to my car and started loading the trunk I saw that the dog food I got was open and it was stinky. When I went back inside to get an exchange the lady took my receipt and I explained it was open and before I could say anything else she refunded me and I told her that’s not what I wanted . I still want the dog food but I want a new one.and she said well I already did it and I’m not going to go back to change it to a refund because a Refund takes too long. If you want it you can go get the new dog food and get back in line at the register .I was not very happy with that so I left without the dog food.

Well at the time I went shopping....I found many helpful employees that where willing to assist, instead of hiding with their heads down. I am about to have shoulder surgery so (I feel bad, that I didnt get the gentlemans name ), that had no problem to lift the microwave & placing it in my cart. But at the self check out, Victor was friendly, smiling, and when the cashing machine didnt give me my penny, Victor was more than appreciative in giving me what I had coming...this is why I shop at Target late at night.

During the Covid pandemic, as I’m feeling sick and picking up items that include Tylenol, manager, Ashley Greene, said that I should go in to get the items that they didn’t add to my pick up order. They do not care about their customers safety or their employees. The items say In Stock online, but they didn’t add to my order, they did not check on my order, they simply said they preferred me to go in, “browse around for my item and pay when you pick up your order”Horrible customer service. In a time like this, it’s simply horrible if this is truly Target’s policy! No care for their customers or employees health.

Five stars for team lead Kyle, not for the actual Target store itself... It is amazing what one motivated, intelligent individual can do for the customer experience at a behemoth like Target. As a retail business owner myself, I recognize talent when I see it, and if I could hire Kyle I would. Target: I hope you have this guy on your radar, if he doesnt move up with you he will move up with someone else.My actual story doesnt really matter, but the short version is when other employees assured me they did not have what I was looking for, Kyle didnt take the easy way out, and instead found the secret pallet in one of the store rooms. Instead of buying one item I bought all 16.

One of the worst Target stores I’ve been to. There is no main entrance. You drive around the parking lot looking for a Target sign. All the parking spots are angled so you circle for twice as long. When I did find an entrance I was met with old elevators that only take me to the main store. If you parked on the second floor, and want to access the second floor of the store you have to go to a separate escalator or elevator.The store is not well maintained. Many items are missing or shelves are empty. Bathrooms are dirty and full of graffiti.Please shut this location down ASAP!

There are two main things to know about this Target. First: If you want to get in an out quickly, arrive early and opt for self checkout. Second: if youre looking to buy menswear, that section of the store is on the second floor - but the changing rooms are all on the first floor, so prepare for a few trips up and down the escalator. As someone who likes buying jeans and t-shirts at Target, trying to do so at this store is always a hassle.Also - if youre not interested in self-checkout, note that for about 20-30 minutes after opening, while most customers are still shopping, most of the employees are busily stocking shelves, having morning huddles, etc. In other words, theyre not working checkout lanes, so lines can sometimes form very quickly.After the morning hours, the store is pretty much packed all day, creating traffic jams in the aisles and lines at each register - most of which are always closed.

I want to give a shout out to Daniel in the Baby Dept. Hopefully I have the right name but I know they were wearing glasses. Anyway I went to Target there in the morning to look for a figure because I was given info by another Target they had in stock. It turns out that info was not accurate and Daniel helped me twice and told me that they did not have it in stock and I was told by a manager that they indeed did not have it. I would like to apologize to Daniel if I was rude, so want to also thank them for their patience and assisting me. Also Thank you to the young man who helped me downstairs it was the front end manager but did not get their name.

Store: 1150 El Camino Real, San Bruno, CA 94066I had come in the other day to pick up a few essentials and decided to pop by the action figure aisle to see if there was anything that I needed as I do collect adult collectables. Surprisingly they had 2 of the new Flashpoint Batman figures from McFarlane toys. I snagged one and headed to the checkout stand. When I tried to ring myself up it required a store employee to verify something about my transaction, and they told me that the figure was street dated for the next morning and I wasn’t allowed to purchase it. I pointed out that it was on the pegs, and so if it’s on the sales floor, then it should be for sale since that’s how retail works. I also pointed out that since there was 2 out there, that there is no way they only come 2 in a case since this figure was a target exclusive it would come cased by itself and so other people must’ve been able to purchase the other figures. I spoke with the manager and he refused to allow me to purchase the item. He wouldn’t do a manual override, he wouldn’t ring it up as a similarly priced item, No holds, no nothing, just “Come back tomorrow and hopefully we still have some.”I can understand having to stick to a street date, but if you stock products prematurely that is your mistake, not the customers, and the customer should not be punished for your error. Instead of taking care of his customer and making the situation right, this manager instead ripped the figure from my hands like Mr.Burns taking candy from a baby. On top of that, I did come back the next day and guess what, they were all sold out. As where all of the surrounding Targets. The closest one I was able to find that had one in stock was Alameda. That’s quite the pain in the ass to make the trek all the way to Alameda just to purchase something this ungrateful manager refused to sell me the day before. In retail you always put your customers first, without them you don’t have a business. Someone needs to remind the people running this store what customer service means since obviously they have no clue.

This Target and Starbucks discriminates African American people and the cooperate office didn’t do anything about it.We are two students at SF State both African American and White and We are conducting a study on racism in today’s society. During the study I purchased a set of Starbucks cups from target in San Bruno. The Starbucks cups were not to my liking so I returned them. However the customer service department referred me to the Starbucks saying they couldn’t take the cups because they were Starbucks however I had my recite.So I went to the Starbucks which told me they couldn’t return them because they no longer sold them however I saw the cups I was returning on the display case.I then called the target cooperate office. They called the store manager but then told me there was nothing they could do and I needed to speak with the Leader On Duty.That’s when me and my partner switched roles and he went to return the cups. The customer service department gave him no problems at all and he was able to return the Starbucks cups at Target guest services.Is this discrimination?Is this racism?Do we have a case in small claims court?If so if there is any small claims court lawyers out there that wish to do a pro bono case for a couple of SF State students please contact me.

We had a bad experience with one Filipino Lady at the cashier. We we’re trying to buy a bottle of wine but she refused us because we didn’t have our passports. What we have during that time was our PH driver’s license but still she didn’t accept it. I kept on saying that it was weird because in some countries our Ph driver’s license is accepted. We can even rent a car and drive around. What I didn’t like was her unnecessary comment she said “I might lose my job because of this”. I think it would be better if she just said that it was company policy. Same line was said to me while I was buying the some medicine at the same store but he allowed me and accepted my driver’s license. I hope this will be changed and the employees will learn how to use standard sentences. They don’t have to make the customers feel bad because they only accept US ID’s.

I think its faster to park upstairs, behind JC Penney. You can park right next to the door on the upstairs level.Its closer to the door than the downstairs parking area less parking traffic, and drops you right into the electronics department, with sporting goods to the right, toys and books straight ahead, kids clothes and baby items straight ahead to the other side of the store.

I just moved to the area and this was my second time visiting this Target. There was someone in the front to confirm I had a mask on and greeted me. Security was two rows away. As I began to pass the security guard, he immediately made a call on this radio. Since I’m unfamiliar with this Target, I walked over to the department/ floor list. He passed me there. I stopped by to buy a pair of running shorts and I discovered something weird: there are no fitting rooms near the Mens clothing section on the second floor. In fact, there are only fitting rooms on the main floor. This meant that in order to try something on, I had to go down the escalator with clothes in a bunch of different sizes and go back upstairs (which I did one additional time) if I changed my mind and wanted to keep looking for something else.
