Great service and awesome engine! Fortunately I dont live too far from Tapa Jaguar and Land Rover and was able to bring my 2011 Range Rover 5.0 Supercharged to have the engined replaced. Keith was great to work with and extremely responsive to any questions or troubleshooting I had. Also had worn out CV joints in both the front axles (which I knew of beforehand) and Keith informed me, and had them replaced with used ones at cost for the parts and installed for free. Thanks for the great service and spanking brand new beast of an engine Keith!

After experiencing much trepidation and frustration researching various shops to get my 2012 Range Rover Supercharged L322 fixed, Keith’s masterfully installed newly in-house built engine came as a breath of fresh air. The whole process was seamless and without any pitfalls or surprises. Keith was always available to answer questions along the way. Now, I have a car that I have loved driving for the past 12 years and will continue to enjoy for years to come. The new power train is stronger than the factory engine and runs smoothly. Started searching for a new engine for our 17 Range Rover Sport and quickly found out that many will tell you whatever you want to hear to get your money. So once I spoke with Keith at Tapa and he was straight forward with me then I ended up paying a bit more for one simply because he was honest with me. Keith referred me to a local shop where I’m from to install it. They received the engine quickly and began working on it. Little did i know that these mechanics were not familiar with how to prop purge the coolant system. Long story short, i got it back and within 100 miles, i had low coolant lights coming on again! At this point I was sick. Reached out to Keith and he offered to figure it out for free if i shipped the vehicle to him. So I shipped it across the country and Keith fixed it and had it back to me within a couple weeks. Vehicle is doing great now! Highly recommend Keith and Tapa!!

Keith is incredible. He and his team are top RR engine builders. I sent my 2012 RR Sport SC to Keith after my engine failed. Keith replaced it with a stage 2 engine he built and also put in a rebuilt super charger. He also helped sent my truck to a Land Rover dealer to have a fuel system recall taken care of. Along the process, Keith kept in close contact by text and phone. Just got my truck back. The trucks engine is super strong. Feels like 600+ hp under the hood. Thank you Keith & team. You are the best. I am so happy with your amazing work.

I bought a new-to-me 2015 Jaguar F-Type R in Jan 2024. Had a 170-point pre-purchase inspection done by LemonSquad, and the report showed all green lights. On day 2 of ownership though, the engine blew. The quote to swap out the head gaskets on the AJ133 V8 supercharged engine was as expensive as buying a remanufactured engine. Enter TAPA.The decision to go with a remanufactured engine (aka “reman”) was easy: all of the flaws of the original engine (e.g. plastic coolant pipes cracking under stress) are upgraded in the remans from TAPA. TAPA does a whole bunch of other stuff to improve the remanufactured build (ask Keith for the full list). And you get a year warranty (or 12k miles, whichever comes first) on the reman, which gives you ease of mind.I was happy with TAPA solely with that part of the story and decided to purchase a reman. After speaking with Keith at TAPA though, I decided to have them also do the work to swap the old engine with the new one, so I had my car shipped to his shop.Let me tell you, Keith is the most personable mechanic I have known in my life of car ownership spanning 30+ years. I am so overly impressed. Keith and his team are a white-glove service; they pro-actively communicate with you on progress, sharing important photos and videos of their work as they progress. They give you estimates on completion which are spot on. Keith personally called me on many occasions to describe what he had found and what the next best steps were to correct the issues he found with the car as he performed the work.There are so many what I call “above and beyond” things that he and his team have done while they had my car, I can’t name them all here or I’d have to write a book! Just to add a little color though: I told him I needed to have the car smogged before I registered it; he took it to a smog shop and had it smog-certified. While the car was there for swapping out the engine, I had parts to replace the rear tie rods in the trunk of my car; he replaced the rear tie rods at no additional charge.On a different occasion, after I had had the car back for several months after the swap, and everything was running smoothly, a seal broke in the coolant system, so I shipped the car back to Keith. He replaced the broken seal under the warranty and reinforced it. Then he installed some parts I had in the trunk of the car that had recently been shipped to me (upgrades to the upper and lower air intake, and replacement struts for holding the hood open) at no additional cost for his labor. I could write more, but we’d be here forever. Class act all around!Now that I have the car back, the engine is so smooth in comfort mode; silently cruising along in cruise control. When you take it on a canyon run though, put it into dynamic sport mode and hit it, that engine turns into a beast! Growling, snap-crackle-pops, and when the supercharger engages, it’s the sound of a British hellcat! Every time I push that engine, I’m laughing out loud. If taking it to the drag strip is your thing, you won’t be disappointed. I’m looking to get official numbers, but the 0-60 is under 4 seconds. Such a fun car to drive!If you’re in the market for a replacement engine for your Jaguar or Range Rover, look no further. Remans are the way to go, and Keith and his team at TAPA are the best!

Blew up my SVR engine in June at track and found Keith for the engine. Had a lot issues with the local installer but Keith was always there helping me through.The first engine went in and gone bad for some reasons, Keith warranted it and rebuilt my original engine send back to me.I can wrote 10 pages long about the issues I had with the installation but that is not related to the engine quality. Now my car is finally back after half a year and running all good.Keith is the guy to look for if you need a JLR engine, though I hope Ill never need another engine lol.

I purchased a 5.0 non supercharged engine from Tapa at the end of 2022. The entire process of purchasing the engine couldnt have been a easier process. Keith met all of his timelines as far as when engine would be ready and when it would be shipped. All around a good experience. Engine arrived undamaged and well packaged. My Rover is back on the road and performing well. I have restored many vehicles, and will say Keith gives important advice when it comes to the process to follow during installation of engine. If youre going to buy the replacement engine be sure to buy all of the recommended parts Keith suggests prior to installation.

Last fall my wife purchased a used 2017 Land Rover Sport from a shady dealer in Los Angeles. When she got back to San Diego the same day, the engine overheated and blew without warning. The Rover had sat at the dealership without selling for 8 months and since it had not been running, when she drove it back the coolant lines cracked and slowly discharged coolant the whole way until it overheated and blew the motor. There was no warranty due to the age and mileage.After several very panicky days we settled on using TAPA and Keith to install a rebuilt motor. We had it towed up from San Diego. We were completely freaked out and had no idea if we were throwing good money after bad and if we had made the right decisionIn less than two weeks Keith personally drove our Rover back to San Diego from LA, which was incredibly decent of him and of course, very reassuring. We were so scared to drive it we barely put a 1,000 miles on it the first few months.Now, in April, we have logged over 3,000 miles around San Diego and it runs perfectly. I look back now at what was an absolutely horrible and financially devastating situation to us and at least Keith was able to do the best thing possible and give us back a well running Rover. Saturday night we were tailgating at Petco Park before the Sting/Billy Joel show in the Rover and I realized that I really owed TAPA a review for how things turned out in the end. I never write reviews, but for TAPA it was my pleasure.

If Google had 10 stars, I would be giving a 10 star review.It all started when my engine, a jaguar 2016 XFS.With a 3.0L RWD supercharged V6. All of a sudden, had a check engine light as I was driving down the freeway.This car has been serviced regularly at the dealership and was just months out of dealer certified warranty.Before the warranty expired I asked my service writer to make sure there was not gonna be any major issues once my warranty expired.I was assured that I had bought a great year, and that very few XF’s, if any, were being serviced at that dealership. He mentioned the biggest maintenance problem cars were the Land Rovers.My hunt begins for low mileage affordable used engines and affordable mechanics who work from home.I am like a dog with a bone, when it comes to research.I begin to investigate affordable remanufactured engines.I also began to look for experienced and affordable remanufactured engine installers for jaguars.I’m finally beginning to realize that this is gonna cost a lot.No one is going to buy a great looking car with low mileage and no engine.I put it on eBay twice and both times the buyer didn’t realize the engine wasn’t running.All this while I’m in a rental car.Insurance will not cover me because it was not a collision.I finally find a reman engine supplier in Louisiana, who is very helpful and even helped me locate what he thought was an experienced installer. I meet with the installer and find out he’s a former Land Rover certified mechanic.He’s familiar with the issue add Jaguar created by mixing plastic parts with aluminum engines.He said he’s replaced five engines this year.Two of which were in the service bay of the garage, Sitting idly by. Waiting for the owner to invest more money into the reman engine.Upon check out, I was asked where I found the engine, because I was going to buy it and have it delivered.They knew the place and said, Oh yeah, we buy the same engine he gets his from.The guy told me he built his own engine that he didn’t buy them from anybody else.Everyone I talked to in Dallas said it would take two weeks to as much as two months and we would not know the final cost until we were able to pull the existing engine and see which part they could reuse.I am now familiar enough with how the industry works to know that they all know each other and they all talk.I just so happen to call the right guy at the right time.Mr. Keith Williams, the, owner of Tapa Auto PartsI was simply amazed at how much this man knew, how familiar he was with the problem, how he has resolved the problem and rebuilt engines till last..He knew what causes the problem. He knew, how to keep that problem from happening again in the future, and he even knew how to creatively finance this expense..His crew takes a movie of my car coming off the transport trailer.The next day, he personally takes another video and assures me. It’s just bugs on my white painted car, not dings from rocks.That was a huge relief.The car arrive late in the afternoon. They started the next morning by the end of the day I get a picture of my car without an engine, it has been removed.Day two at the end of the day, I get a video of Mr. Keith Williams, driving my car, showing me the odometer and the speed as he’s driving it through the city.I am shocked and amazed, and have no words I’m stunned. I’m in disbelief. Can this be real?And one day, my engines out in the second day, my engines in completed and being driven.Day four I book a flight to Burbank airport. The flight is canceled and I’m rerouted to Santa Ana Airpor, 11/2 hours away. Mr. Williams drives my car an hour and a half to the new location, then texts a picture of The car and lot number and shows me where the key is. He didn’t ask for anything more.I have a brand, new engine and an upgraded supercharger, and this man has my undying devotion.If you have any trouble with coolant leaking and you need a new engine, do not hesitate, run to Tapa Auto Parts

I have a 2016 LR4 - owned since new - now has 115,000 miles. I recently had the dealership replace the thermostat (stuck open w/check engine light) and the fan assembly (no signal from fan speed sensor circuit). Two days later on a long highway trip it suddenly overheated and blew out the radiator. The kiss of death for these aluminum engines. Towed it to the nearest dealership. They replaced the thermostat and radiator under the part’s warranty. 100 miles later it again overheated. Towed it back to the dealership. They spent over a week checking it out and could find nothing wrong, except that it ran hotter than normal. They again replaced the the thermostat and two temperature sensors. I did drive it home some 800 miles but it still ran hot. By then I had found Keith at TAPA on a Land Rover forum. I took the car to Keith who immediately suggested replacing the auxiliary water pump before pulling the engine, as that could possibly fix the problem. However, rather than deal with a now “compromised” engine I opted to move forward with one of TAPA’s rebuilt engines. Ten days later the new engine was installed and runs perfectly. In fact it might even run smoother and with more power than before. Keith and his team did an outstanding job and delivered as promised. I highly recommend anyone that has engine problems with their Jaguar or Rover engine to contact Keith - he knows more about these engines than the dealerships. Of that I am certain.John Lowey

I cant say enough good things about Keith and Tapa Motors. He is hands down the most knowledgeable about these engines and really cares about making sure that things are done properly. I had a terrible experience with another mechanic who simply wasnt knowledgeable enough to properly replace such a complicated engine. I ended up shipping my car (2011 Range Rover Supercharged) from New York all the way to California to have Keith do the engine replacement. Keith went above and beyond to fix the other mechanics mistakes and get my car back on the road. I couldnt be happier with the level of service and his work. First off I want to say that Keith is a man of tremendous integrity. Im in Illinois and originally had a local mechanic install one of Keiths engines. Due to improper install, it failed within 1000 miles. Keith immediately shipped out a new engine, and when that one failed the same way, in the exact same amount of time, I knew it was the mechanics fault. I had a 3rd party inspector come out to confirm this, and was able to use this to get my money back from the original mechanic and ship my car to Keith himself to get my engine installed. 7 months after starting this journey, Keith stepped in and had it back to me within a week. In Illinois. Unheard of. The engine itself is very strong and I can definitely tell the difference in both speed and sound. I cant thank Keith and his team enough for everything that they did to help me through this. All in all id give 10 stars if I could. There are good people left in this world.

My 3.0L 6 cylinder in my Jaguar F-type blew a head gasket and I needed to replace the engine. A new one from Jaguar was $25K and mostly unavailable due to supply chain issues. I started reviewing my options; new, used or rebuilt. I found Tapa on a search. I gave Keith a call and while he seemed extremely proficient in JLR engines, I was hesitant to go ahead and purchase an engine from a relatively unknown company on the internet. He gave me a list of customers that he supplied with engines. I called about five of those shops across the US and all five had good things to say about the product and the process.Jag engines are notorious for head gasket problems and Tapa’s mods promised to help that, so I decided to go with them. It was fairly easy from there. They provided the paperwork via email, including warranty details, and they shipped the motor to my shop in a few weeks. Communications were very good with Keith throughout the process and he met every deadline. The engine was correct and installed in a few days. I was back on the road.An issue with the engine developed about 8 months after. Again, Keith was very responsive to my texts, even calling me to discuss the issue. They stood behind their warranty and made everything right. That’s a rare attribute in the car business. I’m glad I made the choice to go with Tapa

I live in Tampa and my 2014 Range Rover HSE sport engine blew.. locally got the run around and ridiculous pricing/ wait time from both the Land Rover dealer and the top notch foreign car mechanic in town..found Keith online and from the first call I was grateful. He answered EVERY call with all my questions and reasoned out every fear with a FaceTime call. He explained the process and earned my trust to send my vehicle cross country for a ‘makeover’. Hands down the best costumers service I have received in a very long time. My dream car failed me Range Rover Sport 2014 engine blew on my way to dinner with my wife. NOT GOOD, after finding Keith I was made to feel like it was in good hands. Keith did everything he said he would do. That alone just doesnt happen to often these days. Steer clear from this business. Bought one engine for $14,000 and lasted 2 months. Didnt get the warranty. He charged me $6,000 more to give me a replacement, and also this engine is bad. Again, no warranty. Literally he took $20,000. And refuses to at least check it or help in anything. This will happen to you. No Ethics or customer loyalty. avoid. He sales nothing but Junk yard engines that dont last over 1k miles.

Weve had our 2016 Range Rover Sport back 2.5 months now and we are so happy that we decided to buy the new engine from Tapa. After having a hell of a time on my end of this motor install reached out several times to Tapa and got guidance on my project with no hassle at all. I needed to get my 2012 Range Rover engine swapped(unfortunately). The team here found me an engine with low miles (48k) and gave me a great deal on the engine & install (including a 6 month warranty!). They worked with me as I had to coordinate towing as I live in Sacramento. They were patient and updated me throughout the process. Great customer service as they didn’t mind the extra days it took me to get my car towed back to sacramento. The team also helped me find parts that I needed for the range. This place really became a one stop shop that I desperately needed at the time. Very easy to talk to and I felt at ease throughout the process. Thank you all!

Keith is such a down to earth and trustful guy! He keeps it professional and friendly at the same time. I was torn in between trying to buy a salvaged scrap yard motor or buy keiths brand new renamed motor but after just talking to keith on the phone for a few minutes my decision was easy to make. I didn’t want to buy a high mileage salvage motor and have a 3 month warranty and end up in the same predicament I was in before hand. It’s just not worth the risk. It was a easy choice when Keith told me his was a 1 year warranty! When your motor blows you feel lost and confused in what to do. But Keith was truly a pleasure to deal with and helped me through the process. When I received the motor and saw it in person me and my machanic were both truly in awe. Keith really knows what he’s doing and buying the motor through him was the best decision I’ve ever made. I’m now back on the road and my car couldn’t sound or feel any better. The stage 2 motor is truly a piece of art. It sounds and feels beautiful. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. Thanks you helping me through a really hard time and making my life a lot easier!

Keith is a man who says what he means and does what says. He built/remanufactured a supercharged 5 liter engine for my full size RR and directed me to his mechanic down in Mission Viejo (Duke at 4x4 Luxury auto repair). Coincidentally, he gave me my own bmw/import mechanic up here in the Bay Area as a reference. I was very pleased with the work that Duke did, especially because Duke told me that over the last couple years, he’s done a lot of Keith’s engines and has incrementally improved on Keith’s parts configuration working in tandem to make Keith’s product better. It’s been 1000 miles and I’m pleased with the result. I will report back again at 10k miles and 25k miles and then later if any problems shall arise that stem from the new engine. Thanks a bunch Keith! I highly recommend these two guys!

Unfortunately I had to replace my whole engine on my late model RRS 5.0 supercharged. Hard to find a reputable shop even more so across the country me being in texas and shop being in California. However since I got on the phone you could hear their expertise on Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles. Communication was great from start to finish and every time I had a question I had a quick prompt response! Once the engine showed up to my shop it exceeded my expectations from the packaging of the crate the engine was in to all attention to the details of putting it together. Hard enough with the Corona pandemic I was able to get a good deal and finally get my truck back on the road! Could not be any happier!

I Brought a 2014 Range Rover Sport Supercharged from a friend, he driven it for some years & the engine ended up going out on him.. He had several other Rovers & didn’t wanna spend the money to replace the motor, He was a lil frustrated & didn’t wanna scrape it or sell it to someone he didn’t know.. So he offered me a great deal & I brought it! Before buying it I did my own research on replacing Range Motors & it’s expensive.. We’ll I knew it would be a task on finding a decent or quality buy.. Calling around I gotta few leads so I brought the Range & stored it.. After a few days of getting some ridiculous prices for some junked motors or high mileage motors & made a call to TAPA & spoke to Keith… We spoke for 45mins or so, & The mans a Rover advocate & Genius!! He’s knows Range Rovers & Jaguars to a science!! He explained what I should do to replace the motor, He offered his assistance on a Remand & Guaranteed his work!! Wasn’t a CHEAP Job by far!! But it was worth it once it was all said & done.. Transaction was handled professionally, the process was easy.. Got the Engine Built, Shipped & Installed, & The performance is Unbelievable & My Range is in excellent condition!! If You have to Save Up! Get a second job!
