It’s a good place to rent a kayak around Lake Tahoe! The view of the lake is amazing and it wasn’t busy at all, definitely the place to be to beat the crowds. Tahoe Adventure Company is a small set up with a pop up tent. No cash.We rented an hour of the kayak for two people for about $45ish. There was plenty of parking in the lot across the street for $10. Overall an affordable activity! The guided tours seem like they’d be amazing!

We thoroughly enjoyed our snowshoeing activity purchased through this company. Booking was simple and over the phone. Loved being able to talk to a real person. Our guide Kerry was very personable and knowledgable. Though we are not from around here, the meetup instructions for Donner Memorial State Park were simple enough. I understand they have several location options depending on from where you are traveling. Equipment was in good condition and they provided snacks and extra water. The hot drink mid-trip was especially refreshing. And of course the view of Donner Lake was beautiful.

The guys at Tahoe Adventure Company were very knowledgeable and explained everything clearly. Only downside was the bad sunburns we got. Remember to apply plenty of sunblock to any exposed skin or you will burn bad.

I found Tahoe Adventure Co to be extremely organized, passionate, and flexible when I brought a bachelor party to them for a sunset kayak tour. The main guide on our tour -- Erica -- was friendly and outgoing; giving the effort to make conversation and ask questions with everyone in our and other groups. The sunset tour is an accessible option for folks who have rarely/never done paddling water sports.Our two complaints were that they used inexpensive sit-on kayaks and the trip was limited to a short, east-west, out-and-back along the north shore of the lake. These arent huge issues. Its extremely hard to run these companies well and profitably. My group, and especially this bachelor, would have preferred some more expensive kayaks (sit-in designs) and a longer route that covered lakefront landmarks and geology.

We did the Sand Harbor Kayak tour with Tahoe Adventure Company . Emma Hoffman was our tour guide . This tour was worth the money . Emma guided the tour well, was informative about the history of the place, friendly and kept us engaged. But what I am happy about is something bigger than that...Myself and my husband are very beginners in kayak . We were struggling with balancing the Kayak and suddenly our kayak toppled down. Emma took charge of this unexpected situation and immediately helped us ! She stayed calm and guided us step by step as to how to get back on the kayak and got us back on kayak. Without her, I dont know how we would have managed ! Because we are very new to this. Thanks Emma ! A guides or Companys worth is known especially based on how they handle unexpected situations ! Also Emma helped our group Cliff jump by jumping along with us. Without her lead none of us had the guts to cliff jump by our own. I am glad I chose Tahoe adventure company for this tour and glad that Emma was our tour guide . I would come back to Tahoe adventure company again for both summer and winter activities. They ensure safety along with providing adventure

What a fabulous experience! None of us had ever snowshoed before and Zach did a fantastic job of guiding us based on our ability level. He was patient, knowledgeable, communicative, and wonderful. Would do again!

Located at the Tahoe Recreation Center across from the Jiffy’s Pizza and near Pep’s Place. This has been our goto rental site for years. There’s 15-30 min parking for boat launches or to drop off the family and gear. If you get there early there’s street parking or if you drive across the street there’s a big lot. Rentals are reasonable and the beach is not too busy.

We had the best time exploring Lake Tahoe with our guide, Will! He was super knowledgeable about the lake, surrounding geography, and local history. Getting to experience the lake by kayak was a no brainer for us. Highly recommend Tahoe Adventure Company. You wont regret it!

We had a great time on our sunset snowshoe tour with Nikki. She was very considerate of our groups needs and offered options to ensure that everyone was able to participate and have fun. The snowshoeing was easy to get the hang of thanks to her tips and we really enjoyed being among the trees and seeing great views!

Our tour guide Jill was amazing! We had the best time on this kayak adventure with lots of laughs, lots of cool information about Tahoe and a delicious lunch at Gar Woods. The views were amazing and the water was like glass. Highly recommend Tahoe Adventure Company and highly recomment Jill.

My daughter’s first snowshoe trip was so much fun with Tahoe Adventure Company! Tyler was such a great leader, teacher and all around fun-expert! Imagine being in a winter wonderland, outdoor science class but not a boring class, a really fun one and with a guide who is super cool. It was like that. Priceless and so memorable!! Thank you!

We did the Sand Harbor kayak tour and LOVED every second! First off the staff is great. Katie booked our tour for us and she was so kind and helpful. She answered all our questions and was so sweet.Tucker took us on the tour and he was so knowledgeable and great with our kids. We had four boys in our tour and he told jokes and swam with them. The lunch on the beach was fun and yummy- complete with drinks and cookies 😊We highly recommend this company and tour. I cant wait to go back again!

We had the best experience on our Kayak Tour! Our guide Emma was helpful friendly, professional and knowledgeable! The views were spectacular, the lunch was tastey, and we had a great time! My husband has had light to moderate experience and this was my 1st time out, and I had not trouble at all. The location was easy to find as well. We will definitely be back! If youd like to experience Lake Tahoe from the water we highly recommend the Tahoe Adventure Company and Emma! You wont be disappointed!

I went out on the Sunset~Full Moon tour with TAC this week and it was just an exceptional experience, one Ill cherish for a long time. Safe and socially distanced, a great group of folks all visited easily which I attribute to our guide Tyler. He was so welcoming to all of us from the get-go. Organized. Streamlined. Professional. We had a great experience on our Kayaking trip to Sand Harbor! Our guide was so knowledgeable about the area and really made the trip enjoyable for us. I highly recommend going on one of their guided tours. The lake is so beautiful and you get to see so much more of it on the trip than just staying on the beach.

My daughter and I had a great time on our kayak tour! Eric was our guide and was very patient and kind to my daughter, who had a rough start, and he ended up towing her at one point. After we reached our halfway mark and stopped for a break, he encouraged her to try again for the way back and she improved greatly and enjoyed herself. We both agreed it was one of our favorite parts of our trip to Tahoe.

We experienced the full moon kayak tour yesterday. We had issues with the website & availability as we fully booked & paid for a tour on Thursday & I was called & was told that the website is misinforming people & had to switch our whole plan.Additionally, The website states “ We paddle for about two hours before landing on the beach to cap it all off with hot drinks, snacks, and more stargazing on the beach.”There were absolutely NO snacks OR drinks provided. It is very frustrating when something promised is NOT delivered.

Had a wonderful excursion kayaking Sand Harbor area. Guide informative about lake and Tahoe history without it being rote or stale. The packed lunch was light and tasty. Very much enjoyed and hope to do another tour in September when I pass through.

Went Kayaking today with Tahoe Adventure Company, it was a fantastic time! We had called multiple kayaking companies beforehand and they all were closed, luckily we found this place!! So glad they were open because it was a great day to kayak. The weather was beautiful, not too hot and a bit overcast. Nolan was a super welcoming and helpful kayak representative!! He answered all of our questions and helped us, additionally he let us wash off our feet afterwards. Thanks Nolan for all of your help! Thanks for staying open Tahoe Adventure Company!

Being a local here in Tahoe for many years I am not one to sign up for a tour, but inspiration came when my friend invited me for the Full Moon Kayak tour on Lake Tahoe. What a treat to see the sun set behind our boat and then to watch the full moon rise and reflect upon the lake.Our guides Tyler and Rich were awesome delivering out fun facts on the lake and the history as well as keeping the group together and even chiding us with a little Jaws music. Ha!Highly recommend this tour.

Snowshoeing w/ Tahoe Adventure Company: While my family was downhill skiing, I looked for outdoor activities I could do while still rehabbing from knee surgery. My doc & physiotherapist said snowshoeing was OK at this point. So, searching the net I came upon Tahoe Adventure Company. I booked a 4 hr. Guided snowshoe adventure. with my confirmation they provided a list on what to wear and pack. Much appreciated. I met my guides, Murphy and Alyssa, at Spooner. There ended up being 5 others in our group. Three were new to snowshoeing All were lovely people, whose company I enjoyed. The guides brought sealed snacks if we wanted. In the reminder I received the night before I was told to pack a lunch since they couldnt offer it due to Covid. We all wore masks unless we were more then six feet apart. Murphy shared his wealth of knowledge about the history of the area and the local flora & fauna. I soaked it up. Alyssa checked in with me often to see how my knee was doing. The route was definitely a butt & thigh burner. We went up, down and zig-zagged. I LOVED it. This was the most strenuous exercise I had done in a year, since my knee injury Feb. 2020. It was exhilarating! I felt SO good. HIGHLIGHTS: we saw a bobcat in the wild! A first for all of us. We also got to snowshoe on the safer part of a frozen Spooner Lake. I would definitely try more guided tours with Tahoe Adventure Company. I highly recommend the snowshoe adventure.

Just walk up tell them what you want and get on the water. So easy. If you go later in the day you may have less of a selection just fyi. Also, we walked up and all the employees were busy with something else? So when one appeared they helped the group that came after us... which took most of the single kayaks and we were left with a double. Little disappointing . Nothing beats being on the water though and we still had a great experience.

We had renting a double kayak. This is the best part of Lake Tahoe to paddle around and enjoy the lake and the views. I felt no need for a guided tour. The Tahoe Adventure folks will tell you where to go. Daily rentals work out cheaper but after an hour or so we were totally ready for a picnic on the beach while the beer was still cold. Im so glad I put sunblock on my neck. Tip: even if it looks calm, make certain your cap or hat is on securely or youll have to paddle hard to retrieve it and maybe in vain.

I recently rented a single from these guys at $15/hr. If you rent for 3 hours, your 3rd hour is free. One of the staff let me borrow his pelican case too! The location & price was pretty sweet and the customer service was great. Would love to rent for a whole day next time.

We had 2 tours with this company both were perfect. The kayak tour guide was really informative, funny, and friendly. Made the experience better then if we were to just rent a kayak at the beach. The 2 hour kayak trip felt like 30 minutes we were having a lot of fun. The hiking tour guide was great as well she made sure no one was left behind and kept us entertained the whole hike she was also very informative, funny and friendly the 4 mile hike was much better having someone experienced showing us what every plant and landmark was and supporting our group along the way. If you make your way to Tahoe definitely book with these guys you won’t regret it.
