We had such a wonderful time at Sylvan! Our 11-year-old son has been going to this center for the last 4 months. Right from our first meeting with Paul, the director, we were impressed by how well he explained things in a way that really made sense to us. We’ve tried homework help before, but it never really stuck for our son - just a temporary fix to get through assignments.What sets Sylvan apart is their ability to assess where our son is currently at with his skills and create a plan to help him strengthen his foundation in Math. It was especially helpful after missing out on key learning during Covid. We appreciate everyone here - the teachers, staff, and Director Paul. They are all so welcoming, friendly, and truly professional. Walking in, youre always met with a smile, and youll be glad you chose to invest in your childs education. This whole experience has truly been a blessing.

This is the best place to help struggling kids understand the formula to solving math problems. My son was gradually struggling with his math and Sylvan center was able to customize his math to his understanding and were able to meet him at the exact level here was. They have a personalized lesson plan for every student, and they do not progress to next level until the child is able to grab the concept making the process of understanding the next level of math easy for my child.I strongly recommend this place for every family with kids struggling with math or any school stuff. They also provide monthly progress reports to parents with clear indication of where your child is at that moment (what he/she has mastered and what they are still working on).

I signed my daughter up for math tutoring a couple of years ago when I was at my wits end trying to help with homework. It was the best decision I could have made. Her math grade and testing level has improved (just finished the school year with an A and now meets the state standard). Best of all, her attitude towards math has become more positive. When I picked her up from her session a few days ago she talked about how much fun she had and she even said she loves math now. I’m grateful to the staff here and will continue bringing her until she feels like she no longer needs it.

My daughters was struggling with comprehension so I enrolled her into Sylvan in Redlands and such a wonderful outcome. Her end of the year report from her school showed drastic improvement. My daughter is in homeschool and fourth grade math has been a challenge in our household! 😅❤️ We sought out the help of Sylvan Learning Center because it was close to home and we were not disappointed! Our daughter is now exceeding our expectations, Excited about math, And it has taken the stress away from our family. Sylvan Learning Center has great teachers who are patient with these young students. As a parent, who loves her child, I couldn’t be more grateful for their program. It’s money well spent, Sylvan takes the time to communicate with parents about milestones and progress reports. My daughter comes home with cool prizes, a part of their reward system. Overall, just a happy kid who enjoys her math tutor time. Thank you Sylvan for all you do a special thank you to Director Paul for helping my family every step of the way.

My son has been attending Sylvan since September of this year.We have seen so much growth in his ability to spell, decode words, and read.As a parent, this is a hefty investment, but well worth it for our child to succeed academically. It is not a quick fix, and does require many sessions and well as work at home to keep him on track. It’s still very early in our time at sylvan but we’re very happy with the progress that has been made so far.

I love Sylvan, it has been an amazing experience. In a period of 4 months, my daughter was able to fill the gaps in her education as well as gain confidence in her ability to succeed moving forward. Sylvan has been great for my daughter. Within three weeks of attending Sylvan i saw a difference in my daughters learning. The staff is also really sweet and attentive, they stay in contact with you and update you on anything your child needs.

My son is going there for their summer program and he is learning lots before summer started he was a little behind in grade level for reading and writing and working with the teachers at sylvan he is on track to be at grade level by school starting. He loves to go and they really keep his interests especially since Language Arts has always been his weakest subject

My son is in third grade and has been going here for reading comprehension. I love that with just a short amount of time at Sylvan he already had the confidence he needed to excel. Im excited to see the growth hes having in his reading skills. All the tutors are great and professional. I appreciate the communication they have with me and his teacher to better help my son.

We are new to Sylvan. We did the 25 hour summer special. He went 2x a week (M & W) 2 hours each time. They had a great reward system which motivated him to do better on the testing. They test your student first and then work with your kids until they master each skill. (Common core skills ) Once a month you get a report and talk to Sylvan to review the progress. I like that I can print out the report from the email and go over through the phone. I just wish they sent more work home to see what they do in the sessions. He did get a Sylvan shirt which gave him extra points toward awards. Masks required. Temperature checks as kids enter the facility. Hand sanitizer given to each kid and parents wait in cars for students. One on one tutoring.

My daughter is in second grade. She has had problems in school since first grade yet her school did not help her, she was essentially failing elementary school. I took her to Sylvan where she tested at a K.5 which is in between kindergarten and first grade, but she is in second. I knew she needed undivided attention from professional teachers who will help her excel. She is very smart just needed guidance. She has been in Sylvan now for only 9 months and is testing at grade level now. It’s incredible what they were able to help her accomplish in such a short amount of time. If your child is struggling in school I highly recommend Sylvan. My daughter is now confident in school and can read and does not have melt downs anymore due to being afraid of school work.

Second grader.Her teacher recommended Sylvan at the beginning of the school year for help with reading.After 2 months of tutoring with Sylvan I went in for a Parent Teacher conference.The teacher said shed never seen so much improvement so quickly.Her goal was to read chapter books like her friends and be able to read her own instructions on her homework.Both those goals have been achieved.She looks forward to her sessions and loves the motivation rewards system.Thank you Sylvan for giving my little girl the reading confidence she craved.

What concerns me is that a tutor will teach multiple children different subjects at one time. I dont understand how that can be considered quality tutoring.. It concerns me that the children mostly follow prompts on a tablet. Thats not what Im paying for. And it concerns me that in speaking with the Director how he would explain the quality of his program by being derogatory towards others... He even indirectly called parents wanna be teachers. I did not see one happy child in the establishment...It was surprising to me that the director did not understand how the Sylvan Reading program he held so highly in regard, even worked... He had to grab a tablet and look through the program to explain it to me. Even then, I could tell my questions were frustrating for him.. And he did not want to spend time actually explaining their curriculum or process.Looking through the curriculum, as quickly as I could, I would explain that it is an open and go curriculum through technology use. The teacher is prompted. There is not a personal touch more than a placement test and working through the ranks.All About Reading is an incredible at home curriculum I would recommend for anyone needing more help with their childrens Reading levels!

My son loves coming to Sylvan in Redlands. Everybody is so nice here ..my son usually gets paired with Mrs. Terry he really enjoys working with her. I have seen so much improvement in my son from coming to sylvan twice a week. The teachers can also communicate with my sons teacher at school and I like that feature as well. I’m glad my son is doing great here before hometime was a hot mess in our home but now it’s wayyyy better because of Sylvan.

Sylvan of Redlands has made a huge difference in the confidence that my 5 & 6-year-old have in their reading skills. They enjoy the learning environment, and the token system for prizes. My 5-year-old started Kinder this year, and was having a very difficult time with ABC’s upper and Lower Case, phonics, learning site words, sounds, blending. I took them to Sylvan after her first quarter test results from October 2016. In October 2016 she tested below 50%. She just tested again in February of 2017, just 5 months later, and with the efforts of Sylvan, her teacher and our work at home, she is now testing in the 90 % range which is a huge improvement. My 6 year in 1st grade is now Reading at a 2nd grade level. Both of their teachers are happy with the progress. Thank You Sylvan and their Teacher’s for all the efforts. Sylvan has been wonderful to work with!

I didnt want my wife sending our kids to Sylvan because I thought that they were doing okay in school. But boy was I wrong. My 3rd grade daughter is passing up her class in math and reading. And My Teen is gearing up with confidence to take her SATs. The SAT prep class has taught my daughter how to approach the SATs and teaching her how to score HIGH! I love that they Love to go and how happy they are when they come home from class!

So I finally enrolled my son who is in 2nd grade at the beginning of the school year (changed schools) it has made a BIG change. After the assessment results he was grade level for reading and he is now reading a grade above.We switched him to math after a progress report from his school and just in time! He has less of a struggle with his math homework and just doing homework is less of an issue. Plus added benefit is his confidence in doing the work by himself and not ask for our help.I would recommend enrolling to anyone!

My son struggled with math and was not meeting grade level standards. He hated doing his math homework and his confidence level tanked. Sylvan has not only brought him back up to grade level standards, but also now my son does all his homework without complaining because its easy to him!! They work really well with children and understand their needs and communicate to ask the parents where they are and what they are doing. Ive used Sylvan Learning Of Redlands for 2 of my 6 children. My (now) 26 year old used their services way back when he was in elementary school, almost 20 years ago. My 26 year old currently has his Bachelors Degree in Social Work. He is in his Masters Degree Program currently. He works fulltime for the State Of Washington, putting his degree to very good use as a social worker for troubled youth! As a single mom, this was THEE BEST investment I couldve have made in my son. At age 26, my son STILL says, Oh I remember Sylvan, I was super fun their.Now my 14 year old is Currently attending Sylvan Learning of Redlands. Get this...my 14 year old ASKED to go!! He knew that he was needing some extra help in some of the math areas. After just his 1st tutoring session, my 14 year old was feeling confident and eager for his next session. My 14 year old has never been one for just being the norm. He designed his first website at age 7 and also became a published author at age 8. I wouldnt trust his education and self-esteem with just anybody. The program here is in-line with my beliefs of positive routine and gentle challenging education. None of my 6 children have ever worn their education on their feet (glorified shoes$$), the backs (glorified clothes$$), around their necks( ridiculous necklaces $$) or on their fingers (ridiculous amts of jewelry $$). This program at this location has proven to be the best decision for my family for over 15 years and the people here are warm and inviting.
