Swickard Acura has a professional and courteous staff. The showroom is clean nicely set up. Dave was easy to work with and Vivian made my wife and I feel welcomed. The lounge had cold water and hot coffee. I feel confident that they will take good care of our Acura RDX when we return to service it.

Purchasing a car can be stressful. I went to multiple dealerships looking for a car that would suit my lifestyle and budget. This was the best car buying experience I’ve ever had. This was my fourth Acura RDX and I knew this time exactly what features I wanted. Joel and Vivian found me the perfect car. It took a few extra days for me to get in to sign the paperwork. There was NO pressure-definitely not the usual sales spiel. I also was able to get the payment I wanted. The negotiations were pleasant and not high stress. I love my 2024 RDX. Thank you Joel and Vivian ❤️(I also like their service department!)

I had to stop in Acura in Thousand Oaks to have a relearn done on my sunroof after some recent repairs. They took care of it faster than expected and I had the vehicle back within about one hour. I was very impressed being first time to their business with the customer service and cleanliness of the show room. I will definitely be returning to have any work done on my vehicle.

During a span of 20 years, I have bought two (2) Acura MDX Advanced (earlier was called Touring), the latest from Acura of Thousand Oaks. For most of my services, I’ve always came to Acura of TO and Frank has always been one of the service advisors, ready to serve and always had a smile on his welcoming times. I give this dealership a 5 star not just because of their services but more of how they ensure that during the life of your car, every opportunity to help and assist you to help, is there and always kind and friendly.Frank called me to remind a recall of my car which would require about a week of repairs on the bearings etc…I didn’t hesitate and brought my car to this dealership. Frank offered a loaner but preferred to use my other car, instead. In all, the dealership satisfactorily completed the recall and I drove my car in no time after a week. My car drives like new again and Frank even reminded me that another recall on the water pump is coming in September. What a guy! What a dealership! What a real friend! Try them and I’m sure you’ll find a new friend in the Acura of TO, too.

I took my car in for regular maintenance, oil change. Making an appointment was easy, I called for a same day appointment. Upon arrival I was greeted by staff members and was advised a service manager would be with me shortly. Wait time was very short. Frank was a pleasure to do business with, explanation of what was to be done with my car and the cost was clear. Location is very clean, the lobby has a TV for any customers who choose to wait for their vehicle. Cold bottled water and coffee is also available. Overall I had a very pleasant experience, everyone was very nice. Frank went above and beyond.

We have been contacted with Nikita and got the Out The Door price within hrs.! Set up an appointment for a test drive since we live 6 hrs away. Nikita and the staff at the Acura were super nice and professional. We showed up, tested drive the car and the wife loved it. Purchased it right away then drove it home. All and all, it was a great experience and we would definitely shop at Acura dealership in the near future.

I had an appointment for an oil change first thing in the morning. When I arrived, their computer was down. They took me anyway and the oil change was completed fairly quickly. Ive been a loyal customer at this dealership for my last two MDX purchases and have consistently chosen it for servicing over the years. Id like to highlight Frank and Leo for their exceptional service - theyre always attentive, communicative, and patient.Recently, I ventured to purchase an electric vehicle for my wife at DCH Ford, located just down the street. We opted for the Mach-E for two main reasons: our preference to avoid supporting Musk and the fact that Acura hadnt yet released their electric vehicle. This marked our first American car purchase since 1995, after having primarily driven Acura and BMW vehicles.Our experience with the Mach-E was eye-opening, particularly in contrast to the service were accustomed to. The shortcomings at Ford were evident – from the lack of complimentary car washes and loaner cars to an overall experience marred by misinformation, missed appointments, and lackluster sales service. While the service staff at Ford were the one redeeming quality, it still couldnt match the level weve experienced here.Returning to Acura today to drop off my car, I was reminded of the excellent service Ive always received, complete with the assurance of a loaner car. For those who, like me, have been long-time customers and perhaps taken this level of service for granted, a visit to DCH Ford will starkly highlight the vast difference in customer care and attention.

Bizarre experience at this dealership. For over two weeks I was in contact with interest on a used car. When the car finally was available, I went in to test drive. I was told that car was now listed 2k more than it was two weeks prior. I test drove the car, liked it. I talked with the salesperson, they agreed to honor the price from two weeks prior. All was set for a deal when they said that I had to finance with them. I told them that was fine if they could match my pre-approved financing from my bank. They said they could not match it and that the deal was dead. I was willing to pay the agreed price and had set up my own financing. It was very frustrating and a waste of my time. I would give lower stars but the salesperson was very good. It felt that management was sabotaging the deal.

On May 27, 2024 I returned my 2020 MDX which I had leased from what was called Thousand Oaks Acura (now Swickard) and purchased another 2020 MDX with less miles. I had first considered this at the beginning of the year and had sought guidance from Vivian Naeish, Sales Manager, who had taken quite a bit of time to patiently explain all the options available to me in terms of my current lease and whether I was best off buying out the lease or another certified used vehicle. Based on other things going on in my life, she suggested extending my lease to provide more time to consider what I wanted to do as compared to pressuring me to make a decision then. I asked a lot of questions and she gave me great answers. She was willing to do the math with me and patiently examined various scenarios. Ultimately, I decided to buy the other certified used MDX. I would only buy from Vivian and Swickard based on how I was treated throughout the process. I got a great price on the new car, and even got some equity out of my car on a trade. There was no negotiation, just an open and honest dialog. She brought on Hussainy Farid to assist with the transaction as well. The bumps in the road due to outside forces...mainly insurance confusion....could have created chaos. I went in to Acura of Thousand Oaks to take care of something. I met Joel Aguilar (very professional, good listener and understanding) I explain to him the purpose of my visit. Joel and I then started talking about the loyalty program from Acura. 24 hours after my initial visit, Joel gave me a deal that I could not say No to the car that i liked. Joel was able to get me into a 2023 Acura TLX Type S. Joel, Dave, Rick, Vivian and Amir were all understanding of what I was looking for in my new Acura and they all worked together to make it happen. I was in a bind on a Monday with a flat tire and needed same day repairs and new tires. Out of 3 southern CA Acura dealers they had the best response, willing to work quickly and same day and didn’t just send me to voicemail! I had my car towed from Culver City to Thousand Oaks because they exhibited the most amazing customer service! This location has been the spot for my family for years, and when I got handed down my Acura they took care of me just the same. Now we added another car into the mix and service feels like it improves every time I go. Leo was amazing in getting me in for my appointment as everyone else had gone home already. We had a small dent near the back fender. We purchased an extra coverage when we purchased the car. I took the car to Acura of TO. Pictures were taken and I received a call later in the afternoon that they will have someone try to fix the dent.The following week the dent was repaired at no cost because of the extra coverage we pay each month. The car looked like nothing happen. Perfect!I am very pleased with the overall service.The most interesting part of my visit, Frank Aquirre started to talk and come to find out his wife and her family grew up in my neighborhood as a child in Oxnard. In fact, Franks brother-in-law (Jaime) was in the same grade in grammar school.What a small world. I guess the person that will service your car may know your family so provide great service. Worst service ever. I had an appointment at 10am to sign finance docs. I didnt want to waste my time at a dealership but was told by the sales associate that I would need to come in. I got there 20 minutes before my appointment. I was told they were short staffed and didnt have a finance guy to write up the loan at this moment, but they are having the finance guy from the Honda dealership next door come over. My sales guy, Israel said hell be here in just a few minutes. That was around 10:15. For the next hour we were told 5 minutes and then we wouldnt see anyone for another 20 minutes. After we had been there for an hour and a half with no one there to assist, we finally decided to leave, without completing the purchase. Prior to leaving, my husband asked someone in the office when the finance guy would be here. The guy was dismissive, and said weve already called him. Not until my husband said he would be leaving did he finally get up and walk across to the Honda dealership to get the finance guy. At that point, we were done. I will never go back to this dealership, and I will probably never buy another Acura.

I had a very positive experience with the entire team at Acura of Thousand Oaks. The two sales reps that I worked with, Darius and Aron, were friendly, personable, knowledgeable and accommodating. They answered all of my questions and were not aggressive or pushy at all. Just shopping for odd parts but greeted and treated like a NSX buyer. Three friendly conversations to start a new year.Follow up is still 5 stars...two exchanges in the last year. Both exceptional. A radiator suddenly failed on my 20 year old TL. Parts guy understood I was do it yourself wrenching my car and wasnt going to buy 400$ original replacement. He suggested a second hand source which made it possible to keep running. Likewise the car was recalled for the airbag check which the manufacturer is obliged to verify safe periodically. Service included a maintenance review plus a car wash and vacuum. The service manager understood Id been personally maintaining the car for my step daughter and so made clear what was critical versus nice-to-address without a sales pitch. All the staff treated me like a new car customer though I am clearly just getting along. Consistently, very nice people.

I was fearful to take my car into the dealership when the B2 service light came on. My car was running perfectly fine, but I know its due for a service so completely understand taking it in. While the customer service was kind and polite, there were numerous issues.1. after my tires were rotated I was told there would be cupping and I should expect sound while driving, (this is understandable and a real thing sometimes, but still discouraging since it was ok before)2. when driving home there was a terrible rattling in the air conditioner. I called in when I got home and was told it was probably the cupping, I explained it was definitely the air conditioner because the sound went away when I shut it off. I went back into the dealership and the technician confirmed that there was debris in it from when they checked the filter.3. I was told the battery had a good charge (the Multi-Inspection indicator showed green just turning yellow), my cars battery died 3 days later.4. I had AAA come to replace my battery today, they told me that strange sound I heard was my alternator not working and they were shocked the dealership did not catch it. Now I am in the process of finding the time to replace the alternator and cannot drive my car even with the new battery because it will drain it.I would say 2/5 because everyone was nice and the service was quick and easy to schedule, but bottom line, the most important part of the experience is the service itself, and this was a complete and utter let down. My exact concerns came true.

I had a fog lamp that got road damage. I called service, and Chuck got the ball rolling with the labor cost, and them passed me toSam in parts. Recently I was informed by Acura of Thousand Oaks that my 2019 Acura RDX had a part recalled. They suggested I set up an appointment to bring it in for a replacement part. They were able to get me in quickly at a time that was good for me, and called to confirm my date and time when they had confirmed with the service department they had the required part. I arrived at my scheduled time, they took my car quickly and efficiently, practicing protocols for Covid-19.They called within a few hours, happily, much earlier than expected, to tell me the car was ready. The part in question was replaced, and in addition they had done a multi point inspection, including tire and pressure check. They had also washed and vacuumed the car. When I picked up my car, again using all of the Covid -19 protocols, they went over the inspection chart and made sure I did not have any questions. I was especially pleased that there was no charge for any of the services they had completed.My entire experience with Acura of Thousand Oaks, from initial phone call to driving off the lot was an “excellent” experience. Ian Poncher was my service advisor. He was helpful, considerate of my needs, polite, and I appreciated him following the needed protocols. As always, I found Acura of Thousand Oaks to be positive representatives of the Acura name and I am glad they are in our community so it is easy to use their services. Thank you.

Price of the car I purchased seemed fair and I was able to get one that was certified for price range that I was comfortable with. Staff are courteous and friendly. Aron was very friendly and helpful. However everyone else made poor judgement and mistakes and caused great grief and had me do bunch of work to proove payment went through and yet they still had me wait 10 full business days before I was able to pick up my car, because I paid with a check and did not go through financing. Finance was especially poor in handling this as he ran credit check without telling me and gave me bs excuse about how everyone is allowed to run a credit check at least once a year (incorrect if dealer does it) and ran hard credit check vs soft all the while Manager told me they would only be calling my bank to verify funds were available before processing check and did not mention credit check at all. Again, I was NOT financing. They told me if i did this and that and such and such, that I would be able to pick up my car earlier than 10 business days. I called my bank and did 3 way call and had finance manager explain to my bank what they needed to provide to the dealer. My bank provided that info and after all that work both my bank and I did, they still did not allow me to pick up my car. Why even have us do jumping through hoops if you are still going to say no.

I purchased my first certified, pre-owned vehicle from this dealership. Overall, I was happy with the purchase experience, with a few exceptions. After the purchase, I noticed a slow air leak in one tire. I filled it up a few times and mentioned it when I took the car in for the first service (at the Thousand Oaks Dealership). I was told there was a nail in the tire, and it needed to be repaired elsewhere. It turned out the tire was completely filled with sealant and needed to be cleaned out. So, I was sold a certified vehicle with an already damaged tire. I emailed the dealership, but never heard back.I was also not happy with the service. They were supposed to call when my car was ready for pickup, but never did. When I tried calling to see if it was ready, I couldnt get through. When someone finally answered the phone I was put on ;hold for 8-10 minutes, and then was told no one in the service area was picking up the phone. I like the car, but not the dealership

Made an appt. to bring in our Acura MDX to look at some buttons on the steering wheel which for some reason were not working, along with taking a look at our headlights which were cloudy and scratched. The first service rep. came out and we gave him our name, and confirmation number which he said (Ian) would assist us......waited for him to finish up with what he was doing and when he spoke to us he asked us everything that the first rep asked. We gave our name and appt. time again and why we were there. Ian became passive-aggressive when it came to talk about the headlights and said that was not a covered item under our extended coverage and we would have to call HQ if we wanted them replaced. Ian also spoke the same way when he called my husband.After the buttons were checked out, Ian called and said it was an internal set up and the car was ready.. Upon pick up Ian was too busy to show us the correct set up, car was brought up by a technician and we were checked out by another service rep.We referred to our vehicle manual and set up the internal computer for these particular buttons ourselves.Very disappointed in the customer services which was provided, as we didnt not feel like our business was appreciated.As far as the headlight covers, we ended up having our vehicle detail company take a look and they ended up making them look brand new.

I recently ordered a new FOB for my 2020 Acura after I could not locate mine. Keith, the parts manager, was able to take care of me over the phone. The next day I found my lost FOB and cancelled the purchase. Keith again took care of me over the phone. I have taken my car for service to T.O. Acura for years. Typically, customers receive shuttle service to a nearby location if the car will be there for a few hours or more. When I made my appointment, I was not told that the shuttle service was discontinued due to COVID. If I had known that, I would have selected a different day and/or made other arrangements. Since I was not aware of this change, I had to pay for a Lyft ride to and from work. Of course, the Lyft driver and I wore our masks and I sat in the back seat as the driver shuttled me to my job. My other concern is that I presented a service coupon that the service person acknowledged before I walked out to get a ride to work. When I came back I met with a different person and the discount (which did not cover my Lyft fees) was not listed on the invoice. While the second service person applied the discount and printed a new invoice, I was disappointed the original worker did not put it on the invoice. I know that Mazda does not use a shuttle service, however, they do arrange, and pay for, Uber for customers. Not a big deal at the end of the day but I was fortunate I did not have time constraints. A little better communication would have helped me make a decision on date and time.

Marty Wilhelm is a really excellent Sales and Leasing consultant. He really makes me feel he wants me to choose the car I want, not just wants me to purchase the car immediately. He patiently describes all the details for every car I ask for and even wait for me at 8:00 am on Saturday to show me the settings for TLX I have paid. He is really patient and know almost every model for Acura.During this special period, I have visited several dealerships, like Honda, Toyota and Subaru. It seems other dealerships care a lot about whether `they` can sell the car and when I want to argue for a genuine price, they would just tell me we are short of inventory, if you wanna buy, please buy it asap, and you have already had a good deal, blabla, or even say `NO WAY (capitalized)` in the text or email........A Honda dealership(near this dealership, if you drive to Acura of Thousands Oaks, you will find that one.....) even asks in that way: if I give you that price, you can guarantee you will buy it, right? (A manager slapping the hand above the doc on the table) And the salesman just gives the doc and a pen to ask me to sign before I know the OTD price or even agree with this deal......Sometimes, it is not only limited to the OTD price for the car, (of course, we want to have the best price), but also we need the attitude from the dealership. If I feel we can respect for each other and they do give me a good price, I can increase my budget for a more expensive one. However, if the dealership makes me feel I owe them sth, cause they think they have given me the best price and they are short of inventory, so I need to beg them to sell me the car. Sorry, I would rather not buy any car from them.If you want to buy an Acura, maybe you can visit this dealership and Marty after doing some research to know how things stand and feel confident of handling them(not just buy it because of a comment, lol~)!Hope everybody can buy a satisfied car!

Very pleased with the service from Acura of Thousand Oaks. However, I am not satisfied with my MDX from a reliability point of view. Apparently, the fan and fuse for cooling the battery were malfunctioned at 55,000 miles. In my opinion, this should be considered as a defective part and should be covered under factory warranty. The cost to repair is substantial.

Terrible serviceDont come in with high expectations or you will leave disappointed. I have a 2016 ILX and aside from a few other problems Ive had with this car I also have An annoying vibration from the engine when the car is in reverse or drive (only when the air conditioning is on) . The service people at this dealer are not only unhelpful but liars as well. First they acknowledged that there is a problem with my car ( one of the mechanics even asked me if the car was in an accident and if the car has a custom exhaust pipe... For both questions the answer is NO!) ( btw why would he ask me that if there is nothing wrong with the car?) Then when they couldnt fix it they told me there is nothing more they can do... And that the car just has this vibration and thats it. Corporate later told me that the dealer didnt find any problems with the car and couldnt reproduce the vibration .Needless to say my 1st year of ownership has been pretty bad... The worst part is that Acura corporate is completely unhelpful ( all they offer was another waste of time appointment at the same dealer that couldnt reproduce the vibration ). I had an Acura in college... Getting an Acura again was kind of nostalgic for me but after this experience I will never get another Acura again. If your expectations are pretty low you might be happy with Acura .

I have been looking for a good used car for about a month with no luck because I wanted a non-CVT Accord. (These are very few and very far in between). On Tuesday, November 22, 2016, I was contacted by Jordan who works for Acura of Thousand Oaks. He had a car he thought Id be interested in so when I called him back I learned it was a 2012 Acura TL.I was excited because I hadnt considered an Acura before but knew of their reputation. The next day I took off work and drove down, about 60 miles south, to the dealership. Jordan showed up about 45 minutes later and what turned out to be a miserable, long day began.If you are a woman, expect to be patronized. (Not that this is new to anyone at car dealerships.) It took me until about 12:30 pm, five hours after I had arrived to get through everything, though one hour of that was time spent at my credit union getting a check. I was forced to let them check my credit history--and they never let up on trying to get me to go with one of their credit issuing agencies despite being repeatedly told I would not switch from my credit union.Jordan talked down to me all day--but what I am truly offended by and what has caused me to give them no more than one star (and Id give none if I could) is that I just received the car back from my mechanic. My mechanic in Santa Barbara is someone I would trust my life to so I certainly trust him with my car and have for the past 28 years. Their report shows that neither the dealership nor the sales manager nor Jordan bothered to tell that several areas of the back half of the car have been repainted. Repainted! So they lied by omission.Second, the hood struts are bad. It will cost me $40 per strut to replace them plus the labor. Third, the transmission fluid was too high but my mechanic lowered it to the proper level. Fourth, there is tire wear on the inside edges so the alignment needs to be checked. Fifth, the battery tests are weak but my mechanic said its possible it was sitting on the lot for a while and to see if the battery gets better with some driving.In short, do NOT trust this dealer. Never trust Jordan. They will lie to you and if you are a woman they will patronize you. They are more hateful to deal with than most dealerships--and that is saying a lot since car dealerships tend to the slimy side as a routine.If anyone asks me I will tell them to never deal with Acura of Thousand Oaks whether they are looking for a used car or a new one. I not only overpaid by about a thousand dollars but I have been ripped off because I refuse to go back to them to get these things fixed and its going to cost me around $200. Plus--a repainted car!Be warned!

For 2 1/2 years I have complained about intermittent problems with the entertainment/phone system in my RDX. They cannot find the problem.Recently at dealership and they could not duplicate the problem. A day later it is back.Acura - Corporate -- has acknowledged the same problem; but since local dealership cannot hear it; they will not perform any work. They claim to have fixed MOST connection; but Acuras own service bulletin says you cannot fix connectors; the entire harness must be replaced.I had a long conversation with service writer who indicated he was not authorized to do any further work.The fact Acura (Corporate) recognizes the problem and has further issued an extended warranty on the issue tells me this is pure politics at the local dealership. NOT GOOD TO TRY AND HAVE WARRANTY WORK COMPLETED AT DEALERSHIP NOT RECOGNIZING THE ISSUE DOES EXIST!!

Today was final attempt in trying to get into a 2017 tlx v6 and trade in my 2016 tlx base model. No luck!!! I already knew they couldnt help me but I was told that they could give me a better deal then Metro Acura. I have to say the customer service was great no doubt about it keep up the great job. I work two weeks straight and one weekend off and back to two. This is my weekend off but I felt that they wasted it I live two hours away I stayed for about an hour immediately I could see in the associates face that it was going to be tough one I lost all hope there. At the end I left empty handed and to make matters worse my drive home was a little over two and a half hours!!!!!! To improve ask for trade in info!!! That could have saved me a ton of time and not wasted my time. I took a huge chance going down there and was pissed!!!!!
