During the start of the weekend I had a sore throat and I just knew it wasnt a typical cold. Cautiously ruling out Covid with an at-home test, I had an inkling it was strep and that antibiotics would be needed.Sunday morning at 3AM, while my throat was on fire, I desperately searched urgent care facilities in the area and found the Sutter Health Walk In Clinic. Disappointed that there werent any times available to book, I decided to try my luck as a walk-in as soon as they opened. At 11AM, on the dot, I was welcomed into the clinic by a very friendly medical assistant who told me that it wouldnt be a problem being seen. Such. A. Relief.I noticed that the environment was clean and had a good design too. When you feel like crap, these little things matter. To me anyway.I was promptly ushered back to a room where my vitals were taken and was given a strep throat swab. 10 minutes later a friendly NP came in to talk about next steps and treatment for my positive result. I felt cared for and the process was efficient. I am now on my way to feeling better and I am thankful.

Front desk and Nurse was wonderful, Friendly, professional and respectful.The Dr. was not friendly, not professionalism that all. She repeat 6 times during my visit that she need be with other patients and after 5 minutes to explain how I feel she ask me what I was there, I try to answer and she repeat to my with loud voice that my answers need be yes or No. I was scared, I wish I was felling good and get out from the room and left her, but I was felling so sick. Probable was her bad day but a Dr. have to be more compassion with your patients.

2/9/24The whole facility was just outstanding, from the front desk, to the medical assistant and the physician taking care of my ear problem. The staff treating me was very welcoming and patient with me since the procedure took a little longer than usual (due to my stubborn ear wax). And I thanked them very much for getting the job done and not sending me somewhere else. I highly recommended Sutter Walk-in Care!

Had urgent need for healthcare and had a great experience at this Sutter Health Oakland Walk-in Clinic. Lisa NP was super sharp, professional, compassionate, calming, and knowledgable. I am very experienced with clinicians and thought very highly of her care and professionalism, well done! The support staff was also sharp and professional. Was able to make same day appointment and they ran ahead of schedule. Very impressive.My only constructive feedback is making it easier to get through to someone to make an appointment, I tried and got stuck in a loop didnt get through to someone by phone so went physically to get an appointment for later in the day. Would have been nice to be able to call and get appointment over the phone.

I took my mother there for a quick wellness check and to have a prescription refill issued. We were helped by P.A Jenny Quan, who was very sweet, gentle and most importantly professional. She was very listening, understanding and patient. She answered our questions well and paid attention to our concerns. I would love to see her as doctor some day. Other than that, the clinic was very clean, parking was easy to find, I just wish that it was closer to home since we live in San Leandro.

I have negative experience with front desk of this location. Lazy receptionists and lying. I arrived on the 5m mark of policy. When I arrived, receptionist was away, another person was talking to someone else in the back. Both of them came back told me that they saw me walk in. Doctor was still on video call with another patient. Sounds like insurance scam to me

The front desk lady had an attitude. So did the other lady that came up. I said I’d pay out of pocket and they acted like sassy 1st grade mean girls. “yOu kNoW thaT’s GuNna cOSt exTra”. I told them I had money and I was polite to them until the very end. Go literally ANYWHERE ELSE.

Great experience. Seamless and easy. Got the test called into the lab immediately and got the medication I needed ordered immediately, all on a Saturday afternoon through a video appointment same day. It took about 10 minutes. There were even lots of appointment times available on Saturday. Saved me a long trip to urgent care.

I went there for my pre-op Covid test on a Saturday afternoon. This clinic looked very well organized. Staffs were very friendly and greeted patients at the door with Covid questions before letting patients in. It’s not crowded inside, and I felt safe with social distancing seating. The entire process was short. If you did online check in before you go, no need to do any paperwork. Nurse who did the nose swab was very gentle and explained the procedure nicely. So it was a pleasant experience.

I needed a flu shot and all the options for miles were booked. Sutter had an open slot. I signed up and showed up. It takes them a minute to get ready for you but then you’ll be done and out quickly. They offer a bunch of vaccines so I will absolutely go back.FYI that you need to make an appointment and they are in a strip mall near other stores.

I got there early and they were able to take me in minutes. The nurse doing the COVID test explained what would happen during the test. While I had heard that the test can hurt, this did NOT hurt at all. I can only assume she is very experienced.Both the nurse and the front room staff (checkin) were upbeat and courteous. I was in and out in about 5 or 10 minutes. Parking was easy. I would go there in a heartbeat for any treatment I needed that they could provide.Cant recommend highly enough.

My wife and I went to the Sutter walk-in care facility in Oakland’s Temescal district on Saturday, Dec. 10. We were greeted promptly and very courteously by the receptionist, who was also one of the nurse practitioners, as it turned out. She politely asked what service we were there for, since we were drop-in patients and then she made the arrangements for my wife and I to both receive our bi-valent COVID vaccination boosters as well as a flu shot for me. She ushered us into a treatment room and administered the vaccinations. All very professional, courteous and very pleasant. We have sought COVID and flu vaccinations at the facility before and the previous experience mirrored the experience we had on Saturday and that is why we returned. I would seek medical assistance there again and can recommend the clinic highly.

I had appts for flu shot for my son and me. We arrived about 15min early. There was actually no one ahead of us in the waiting area. Check-in was quick, no hassle. We were taken to room as soon as I finished the check-in form and signed release. We were in and out by the time of our actual scheduled appt.

Completely prejudice staff!Lady at the front desk would not even let me sit inside because Im black. She went inside and closed the door after herself to check with the nurse if they could help me. I had to wait outside for 10 minutes! A person had an appointment behind me which is the only reason she finally let me sit inside just to tell me she was too busy to book an appointment and told me to call the call center. How is it a walk-in clinic if you cant walk-in?Hope the next person has a better experience than me but completely BAD service.

I had a negative experience with the front desk staff at this location. When I tried to ask clarifying questions about how walk-in and appointments work, she was defensive and rude. She did not make me feel welcome. I understand health and safety concerns and that staffing issues are all factors. I thought her customer service skills were lacking. The clinic does not seem to allow for flexibility and does not seem to work on walk-in basis anymore. They should change the name and signage and advise people when calling that walk-ins are not currently welcome, and appointments preferred. I was told by the central schedulers that walking in was also an option, but that appears to have been incorrect information. Upon calling back to clarify after the fact, I was told that I was given incorrect information the first time, but people are human and make mistakes.The NP that saw me and provided the medical care was professional and efficient. However based on my overall experience, I probably would not go back.

Was 13 min late due to uncontrollable circumstances and they wouldnt honor my appointment despite nobody being in the waiting room. Very uncaring and unfair considering they have my wait much longer to be seen even with an appointment time. Stanford has way better customer service and specialists. Save yourself a headache and just go with Stanford.

When you WALK IN for CARE at a WALK IN CARE clinic but are turned away because they are not accepting WALK INS due to not having an appointment. Even though you arrived 3 minutes before opening and no patients started walking in til 11:14….change your name and fix the Sutter website if youre not actually a walk in clinic. Go to Milvia if youre a walk in.

I needed a COVID test done prior to Tuesdays Day Surgery at Oaklands Summit campus. I dialed the 800 number and a wonderful patient operator assisted me. I got a same day slot (miraculous) Sat. I tried registering online b4 entering the facility but was unsuccessful. The nurse practitioner was kind and efficient. She promised the results will go directly to my Drs and will be in my online health records before Tuesday!

I went in to get my covid 19 test and there was nobody in the waiting room and there was nobody being treated in the room. The person in the front desk told me to wait while he was on his tablet. I waited 5 minutes and I was not called so I started playing my game on my phone. After the 3rd ring from my phone the person on the front desk told me I can go to room room 3. It was very strange because there was no patient that wasnt needed help and he made me wait. Dont go here. They will not help you unless you have (or say you have) all of the textbook symptoms of the illness you think you have. I thought I had a UTI or bladder infection. I gave them a urine sample, but after the P.A. came in she said I did not have the correct symptoms, and that my symptoms were too severe to be treated there and that I needed an abdominal ultrasound. They refused to test my sample. They sent me away. Fast forward to a week and 2 days later. Im at my regular OBGYN and..... I have what I thought I had all along and could have been recovering from IF this clinic was a REAL medical clinic. Save yourself the mental anguish & go to your regular doctor, who hopefully treats you much more respectfully and treats your symptoms responsibly with the medication they truly need.

Despite its Sutter Walk-In name... COVID vaccines & boosters are by appt only, so be sure to make one.Its a clean, modern clinic in a strip mall (next to Peets) with convenient parking. Staff are friendly and efficient: youll get your shot, wait for 15 minutes (to insure no adverse reactions), then be on your way.As of late Nov21, this location is only offering the Pfizer vaccine - yet this could change. In large shopping area all businesses have same address. Impossible to find by suite number as none of the business have suites. Imagine Walgreens with a suite number? Workers at sutter site say everyone is lost confused and angry. Me too!! If possible I would give negative stars. I am ill. Because my phone call was not answered by anyone at Sutter Walk-In, Oakland, and the facility was only a few miles away, I decided to drive over and drop in. The receptionist was generally condescending and rude, but at first she offered me an appointment, which I accepted, adding that she was about to go to lunch and I would have to go away and come back. I had expressed displeasure over the fact that the website had said their service was open from 11 AM through 7PM and there had been no indication the clinic was to close in mid-afternoon. She said “don’t blame me” (I wasn’t), rescinded the appointment and then came out from behind her desk, threatened to call security if I didn’t leave immediately! I had not threatened her, nor have I ever threatened anyone! My husband was with me. He was astonished as I was at the behavior of the receptionist. I will write Sutter’s CEO! My husband and I are both retired professionals and neither of us have ever been treated as rudely or as inappropriately (not ever!), as that receptionist treated me! In addition, I was very sick and her behavior made me feel worse!

When I arrived at the right time, I was immediately taking the usual appropriate steps. The nurse quickly identified my problem and proceeded to tell me what medicine was needed and how it should be used. I got the medicine quickly and have been recovering quickly.
