I recently visited Sutter East Bay Urgent Care for an ear infection, and my experience was very disappointing. Despite the clear symptoms, the staff pushed a COVID-19 and Flu test on me, making it feel like I had no choice to say no. I was especially shocked to find it incurred a $500 laboratory charge.This was an in-network UnitedHealthcare provider, and it seems like Sutter assumes United will pay, which feels like a money-making scheme. The tests had no impact on my treatment or diagnosis and was entirely unnecessary.!!!! To anyone considering this urgent care, be cautious about agreeing to unnecessary tests. If youre unsure whether your insurance will cover laboratory fees, its best to decline extra tests to avoid unexpected charges.Overall, I felt exploited and disappointed by the care I received at Sutter East Bay Urgent Care. I hope they reconsider their practices and prioritize patient care over profit.

It took a while, but the nurses and doctors were very helpful and went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable at all times. The wait was average emergency room time, but it went by faster due to their communication with whats going on and how long it would take.

I was experiencing strong abdominal pain. I was seen without delay, and had lab tests done right away. The admission person, and the health professional who screened me were caring and thorough. Doctor Jackson examined me and took the time to listen to my answers to her questions. I am grateful for the care I received at Berkeley Sutter Urgent Care.

Had an excellent experience coming to urgent care on the weekend. The nurse and doctor were thorough and kind, tests were performed immediately by the X-ray tech and phlebotomist and I was referred to a specialist. The facility was modern and clean.

I cut my left ring finger - a small, deep cut, 3 days later it was oozing blood. I called the advice nurse who told me to go to Emergency. I couldnt see myself sitting in Emergency with a cut finger, so my husband and I went to Urgent Care. We were seen quickly and the doctor did 2 stitches. She put on an elaborate bandage and told me to keep it on for 2 days and not to swim for 10 days. The bandage fell off on the way home. I have since improvised a bandage and it is healing fine. The doctor was kind and gentle and helpful. However, the bandage didnt work well. I appreciate the staff at Urgent Care.

It would have been helpful if the person at the. Front desk outside of the Urgent Care offices had told me that they don’t have the equipment to do ultrasound at the Milvia urgent care center and I should go directly to the ER at Alta Bates.

The visit took 2 hours, but the nurses and the Doctor apologized for the wait, INCREDIBLE! When seen, it was quick, efficient and verycomforting given all the information of problem given, plus a follow up. What an innovative treatment!

I visited Sutter Health urgent care on a Saturday for a lingering cough and difficulty breathing. The wait was short despite several people ahead of me in the waiting room. The registration staff were efficient and welcoming. The nursing staff, PA, and the Physician showed the highest degree of care, compassion, and medical effectiveness. They were warm and conversational, yet worked fast and timed every aspect of treatment cleverly (eg a 10-minute diffuser while waiting for in-house swab test results). They diagnosed an influenza, which I had not realized I had. I told Dr Mendoza she’s one of the best physicians I’ve met.

I came in with abdominal pain and the nurse who checked me in and collected my vitals immediately identified that I needed to be referred to the ER. I’m grateful to her because my issue was time sensitive. The facilities of this urgent care are on the older side and I did notice that while in the waiting area, but the care was good and thats the most important part.

Quick, easy and professional. Dr. Nat Eberhart quickly diagnosed that I needed sutures, and got me sewn up and on my way. And he was pleasant to talk with during the procedure, and gave my helpful advice about wound care. I have had bad urgent care experiences with other providers before, so this visit was refreshing.
