The Sutter Lab inside Sutter Medical Plaza in Elk Grove is one of the best. I usually don’t have to wait for a long time even without getting an appointment.The technicians or workers are always professional and very friendly. They also have the best skill. I have never had a bruise after my blood work and no or very little pain when the needle was inserted.The facility is old. But the workers are excellent!

Office experience. I had a disappointing experience with office staff in the lab, the team could not figure out my billing insurance information, although a bit complicated, other labs, like Stockton were able to figure it out. The girls in the front tried”their best” I suppose but even with my constant help and redirection, and information I had to help them, they denied me services…services I needed to take specifically on the day I went. I had a specific day ordered by my doctor to take them.Because of this I ended up having to wait an entire month to get my labs done again. I am a veteran with a community referral and I believe the staff need to be trained on how to enter billing if it is something that is going to be so important that they deny seeing patients if they don’t have that information. It seems their systems do not talk to each other because I have no problem being seen at my doctors office and the lab in Stockton. The reason why I chose to go to this in particular lab is because I live in elk Grove and I wanted to visit a lab close to home rather than the one in Stockton. Evidently this failed, and I should’ve just gone to the one in Stockton.I want to believe the staff was sympathetic, but I am not sure they tried their hardest or even cared to try enough. I had to prompt them to call my insurance provider to get more information although they didn’t end up doing it. I had to call myself and didn’t get anywhere because it was a Saturday. All in all it was kind of a mediocre experience and highly disappointing that I was not allowed to take my labs because I couldn’t pay for my service through my insurance.They tried to offer me the opportunity to pay for it out of pocket but apparently because it was a Saturday that was not an option for me. I’m not sure why locations and their systems do not communicate if it’s Sutter Health medical foundation it should all be the same wherever you go. The saddest part was I was denied because I couldn’t pay and they couldn’t bill my insurance, which delayed my medical journey.More training of office staff on medical billing, especially for unique situations like VA referrals should be offered to staff . As a veteran, it was very hard for me to walk away not being able to get my service done because staff could not figure out how to enter it into their system to bill my insurance for it.

A correction on previous review. This facility and its staff are very professional and customer service is a ten plus. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 The previous review was made in error. I have a carzy cell phone that sometimes does things on it own. I believe my cell phone has been hacked. We all know what that means. I deeply apologize for the two star, you all have all ways been nothing but professional to me.

Well going here to this lab is better the lines is short and the lab techs are nice i do get some bruises but not to bad as i have gotten from some of the labs. over all way better than places that ive bend. so might be out a ways but the pin is less but i hate pain .

Skilled personnel. My babys veins are hidden. And we have had problems at other labs, but there are some skilled people here and very caring who are able to get to his veins. Thanks

Had at great experience today! Melissa C. was fast, painless and professional. This by far was the best experience I have had while getting lab work done.

This place is kept super clean, surrounded by nicely trimed trees and plants, convenient location with plenty of available parking spaces, staff working there are friendly and ask if need any help locating certain department,etc.

Went to the lab this morning about 9:00 am. I was seen, got my blood drawn without pain, and out the door before 9:30. Hoe cool is that?
