The place to go when you need smog checks done quickly. Francis is very efficient and will do everything he can to get you completed. It is very important to set an appointment first and mention Year Make Model so that he can quote you the best price when you mention their online coupon. Dont just show up without an appointment and without prior contact so you will be happy with the outcome.

This place is a 10/10. This was my first time coming (March 2024) and this is definitely my new smog spot. Francis is quick, efficient and nice. Remember you have to book via appointment only because this place stays booked. Best price in the area for a smog! Also, DO NOT go through Groupon - hes cheaper in person believe me. Sunnyvale discount smog, a wonderful smog location with a safe environment. Easy to access.I made a phone appointment before I came to do my smog, the owner picked up right away and make me appointment the very next day at the timeslot I needed and worked for me.The best part is, he has a star certified smog station, his knowledge and expertise were super professional, this is because hes trained and knows what hes doing!!!I got in and got out sooner than expected with that said, I will be coming back with my other cars.Thank you Sunnyvale discount Smog for making this process so easy. I recently had my car smogged at Sunnyvale Discount Smog and had a great experience. After reading the excellent reviews from previous customers, I chose to book my appointment. Every aspect of my experience was smooth and easy. I opted to schedule an appointment online and within minutes, I got an email confirming my appointment. Prior to my appointment, I got an email reminder that was nice. The appointment itself was awesome. The owner requests that you come 5 minutes early to make sure that he stays on schedule. I got there even earlier and he immediately greeted me and advised that I would be next after he completed the car he was working on. I didnt wait long before it was my turn. The smog check was super quick, and the price was even lower than a lot of other places I had researched online that offer coupons. Moreover, the reviews of some of the places that offer coupons indicate that it is difficult to get the owners to honor the coupons. Here, no hassling over coupons, just a great price. The owner is also very courteous, in that he not only thanked me for being early, but when finished, he also thanked me for the business. I will definitely be coming here for all of my future smog inspections and will re recommending that my friends and family do so as well.

I made an appointment with Francis for smog check for my vehicle. He is running a tight ship with minimal time waste for both the customer and himself, with clear instructions. The service was fast, he suggests to come at least 10 min before the appointment time and it really helps to be early, as he has a system in place to complete the work in under 5 min time. He also has a good price as compared to the market price. Would totally recommend going here.

My car is older than 2000 and most places either dont offer smog testing for older cars, or they charge super high prices. I totally understand that 99% of the customers have very satisfactory experience. But unfortunately I was the 1%. I dont feel that I was being treat as friendly as what was described in the previous review.When I arrived at the place, the technician was working on another car in front of me, and he was also chatting very happily with the customer, which explains why the customers like him. I didnt want to interrupt their happy conversation, and waited outside for 30+ minutes. By that time, he noticed Im outside, and he didnt tell me he would be busy and he took appointment only. And I was also not aware that appointment is very necessary.Then the funny things happened. After he finished the previous car, the customer for the next appointment didnt show up yet. So he decided to work on my car, and let me drove my car inside. When he was about to start working on my car, the next customer showed up. Then he declined to work on my car, and asked me to pull the car out! If you are appointment only, why did you leave me waiting for 30 minutes at the beginning? The technician didnt show enough respect. I dont quite understand I was not treated as well as other customers. I didnt feel any positive experience as described in other reviews. I was considering an ECU flash tune, but not now. Not until the mfg gets a CARB EO allowing it. Best price point anywhere nearby. Francis is a stand up guy who believes in what he is doing. He makes the dreaded smog check a breeze and some of the BEST prices in Silicon Valley. SUPER RUDE!!! DONT COME!!I was here before back in 2020 and the job was okay - basically a very regular smog check. Even though at that time he wasn’t the most welcoming shop owner I wouldn’t blame it because he had the work done.Today my car is due for another check so I called. He gave me a few time slot options.I literally said Can you put me down for 11:15 for now?And he is immediately turned on and said NO we dont play like that with a very annoyed tone.I then explained I only meant I will let you know if anything changes.But he is still somehow very pissed and said NO. At that point I just felt like he probably had a bad day and I said “okay just put my name down and I will make it”.HOWEVER, he didn’t even let me finish and hang up immediately.Everything I typed above are literally what I said and what he responded. There are more than enough SMOG shops out there which do the exact same thing so I don’t know why you are felling so superior about your shop. I had very good experience here. I took two kids with me to do the smog check. Francis told them to watch their step when they got out of the car. After smog check was done, Francis helped moved my car to the side, so it was safer for the kids to get on. Francis is polite and professional. My daughter was curious about what’s on the ground, and Francis explained it was for old cars to do smog check, the car needs to run on that. I’ll definitely go again next time.
