What an amazing RV Resort. From check-in to check-out we had a fabulous time. The resort has 2 pools and several hot tubs and clubhouses including a restaurant and bar, fitness center, and walking paths. The location is about 15 minutes from just about everything. We extended our stay here to 2 full weeks and loved every minute of it. If youre looking for a true luxury experience, this place cant be beat.

We just got back from a family Spring Break trip to Cava Robles. We all loved it. There was so much for my kids to do, and to say it is very pet friendly is an understatement. So many RV parks claim to be pet friendly, charge you an up charge for you fur baby then proceed to be very unfriendly to them. We were so thrilled with the experience there. My advice would be that this park is huge! If you have little ones many of those campers tend to camp closer to the pools. We were further away and it was quieter, as my kids are teens. We will definitely be back, probably next Spring Break!! PS: My husband also hates the wrist band concept, there has to be a better way, maybe site number, like charging to your room at a hotel? Just a suggestion!!!

Keep in mind they decide to close their kitchen on their own schedule. They post their hours but twice during our stay we have come to eat and they have closed early Im not talking 15 min early...Im talking over an hour or two early. Its extremely disappointing to spend the kind of money they are charging for an RV spot and they cant even uphold the amenities you are paying for. It really put a damper on our trip. So dont plan on eating at their restaurant for dinner because its a gamble on if they will serve you or not.

On the plus side the grounds are clean and well maintained. Check in was fast and friendly. The pools were clean and inviting. The laundry facility was clean and functional.On the minus side, the restaurant was a real disappointment. We had a vision of what to expect from the website menu/photos, and were looking forward to a nice meal and cocktails. The appealing food items depicted on the website were in fact not on the menu. We finally decided on loaded fries, which turned out to be warm wilted lettuce on top of warm liquid cheese covered fries, with a little bit of bacon thrown in. The bartender was a little cranky, probably because this night she was also the cook. They were out of the first two beers I chose, and the wine list only had a few very basic wines. And even though we were eating inside, our food was served in a compostable clamshell with some flimsy plastic utensils. Our drinks were served in plastic cups.We were there two nights, and it appeared that while we were there nobody cleaned or checked the bathrooms.Finally, the hot tub, while nice to have available, had a big pile of foam swirling around the middle.This is a premium campground charging a premium price. We would expect it to be a better experience.

I apologize for the long review, but there’s a lot to say about sun outdoors Paso Robles. First this resort is what I’ve come to expect with Sun Outdoors. If this were a hotel, I would consider it a five star. The reason I gave it four stars overall is because of the price. You may suffer a little sticker shock when you see that RV sites starts at $129.up towards $180 per night. I guess you are expected to pay more for being in the middle of wine Country. I have stayed at the sister resort a short distance away for less money. One thing you’ll notice right off the bat is that they’ve got several golf carts that you could rent for $60 today. The positive is this is an extremely well maintained manicured facility. I had a premium pull through site which was spacious and came with a fire pit and picnic table sitting on top of a cement pad.There are really too many amenities to list here, but it starts with a walkway that runs a circumference of the resort. Three dog parks, and at least two or three swimming pools and public barbecue areas Of course each center has its own showers and restrooms. I did not have occasion to utilize the restaurant as its limited operating hours.They’ve gone to a wristband method of payment, which I am not a fan of. I stayed at this location for about 10 days and wearing the wristband this long, I felt like I was in the hospital.I assume because it was in the dead of winter that the resort was sparsely populated during my stay. All the more room for me lol.In synopsis, this is a great place to stay. It’s just a stone throw away from the Paso Robles wineries and downtown Paso Robles with restaurants and bars.Having said that all I think that it’s still hard for this facility to justify the rates. All I can say is come enjoy the facility, but bring your American Express card.

I love (what was) Cava Robles. My family started coming in 2021 and have been back 5 times. We’ve brought family along, both in RVs and cabins (which they raved about despite the steep price).With that said, their RV prices have basically doubled and are now out of hand. $140 for the most basic site, booking 7 months in advance. We’re going to try the Sun Outdoors down 46, as it’s $50 cheaper a night with the same amenities, minus the beautiful setting.

This place is very expensive.Rv spots are big. Amenities could be better. Pools are great, no real food service, or libation service. 2pm to 8pm? Thats ridiculous for a holiday week day. We wont be coming back until Sun RV figures out how to make sure their guests are taken care of. I can park my rv anywhere, but $130 a night and no onsite food or bar on a Wednesday? How about Thursday? No food but we sell all the drinks.Friday? 2 to 8 for food and bar. On a holiday weekend to boot.You guys are missing out on so much. Shame on this new management.

We loved our stay! Can’t wait to go back.- Clean and beautifully landscaped grounds- Great views of the valley- Cruising around in a golf cart (be sure to reserve ahead of time)- The multiple spots to swim and relax in the jacuzzis. Main pool has entry pad of 10” while the main portion of the pool is 3.5”, with a small 5” portion at the end. Great for kids!!- Homes were well equipped, had plenty of space (for being a tiny home) and beautiful views- Welcome center open 24/7 with complimentary coffee, tea and hot chocolate*Recommend you bring paper plates so you don’t have to do dishes during your stay :)

As a family of full-time travelers that have been on the road for nearly 14 months, staying at a Sun Outdoors is a luxury and something we often look forward to. Unfortunately this experience was a bit of let down. Let’s start with the positive; the food, service and drinks were delicious! The landscaping was well-kept and the park itself was well taken care of. Our site was large and very clean when we arrived. We appreciated that.The problems all started with the holiday crowd that came for Veteran’s day. An onslaught of drunk drivers aimlessly spacing out behind the wheel of their rental golf carts, or speeding down the road in their SUVs with zero regard for the numerous children on bikes. Highly intoxicated campers stumbling THROUGH our campsite in the middle of the day as we sat outside trying to quietly enjoy our time with our toddler. Disrespectful tweens loudly cussing and using horrific hate speech in front of our child with no parental figures in sight. Regrettably this location seems to be a breeding ground for discourteous weekenders and novice campers who clearly peaked in 03’.The staff (although very kind, just possibly understaffed…?) couldn’t seem to control the crowds. In 14 months of continual travel through the states, never have we endured such a horrendous experience during a holiday stay.Bottom line here folks, if you only cater to the novice drunk, you’re purposefully cutting off the other seasoned campers who paid the same amount of money to enjoy the amenities. Please do better, Sun Outdoors.

We used to love going to Cava Robles but now, not so much. The new wristband thing is a pain. Just let us use credit cards if we dont want to use the wristband. I tore mine off so my kids could use it. They let them use it and I used after at the bar. Went to buy more graham crackers for Smores and they wouldnt let me use it since it was ripped off. At least have some consistency between the employees. The rates have dramatically increased for next year. Wasnt even full this year, how can you justify higher rates? My guess is that rates went up so they could offer a Black Friday special and of course there is. Maybe some people wouldnt notice or care but thats not the way to earn my business back. I dont think well be going here again and thats a shame.

Sun Outdoors Park is a destination resort in the heart of wine country and five minutes from downtown Paso Robles.It is an expensive but convenient place to stay, with a variety of amenities, including three pools, a workout center, a full bar, and a kitchen. There are also multiple dog parks and walking trails throughout the resort.The resort offers Pull-Through and back-in RV spots starting at $115 on weekdays and up to $129 a night on weekends. They also offer multiple SoHo style units costing up to $619 a night. All sites have DG driveways with a concrete pad, as well as 20/30 and 50 amp service with sewer and water. Each site also has its own fire pit.Plenty of newer private showers not bath houses. Laundry Room was okay, smaller machines but not busy.The RV sites range from small to moderate in size and length. While this is a very pretty campground, I would not recommend it. The 2 stars are for the pretty grounds.When you check in they give you a very basic guide.. bathroom code etc. What they don’t tell you is to scan the QR code to see all the rules, and it’s very obvious people don’t check the rules.Water pressure and wifi was terrible, people totally out of control drunk, music blaring, a large group took over the building with the jacuzzi and were so loud, they could be heard over the whole campground until well past midnight. No one else could use the jacuzzi as these people took over the whole building.There is a lack of trash receptacles, if you have stayed here you know what I mean.They rent golf carts here, many of the renters flying their particular political view flags, and if an adult was driving they were flying through the campground, if there was a SMALL CHILD driving the golf cart it was just plain irresponsible and left the resort open to all kinds of law suits.Dogs allowed to roam off leash… the list goes on and on.For the cost of these sites, I would expect someone who works here to drive around 15 minutes after quiet time and shut down the loud loud loud noise, after all, the office said their rangers are sitting in the office, so have them get in a golf cart and control these out of control people,

Great place! Very expensive though! The kids activities are great and the staff that run then are amazing!The clubhouse area has been redone. Not a fan of the new arcade room. Other guests at the pool playing music way too loud. We were here this time over a holiday weekend so this place was totally full. I am surprised at the number of disrespectful people who drive around in golf carts BLARING their music as if everyone wants to hear it. The staff here is making people turn their music down at the pool however no one is making the people in the golf carts turn the music down.Would I come back here again: yesWould I come back here again over a holiday weekend: absolutely NOT!

Check in was very organized and fast. Full facilities and a level pads for trailers. Most importantly, it was 100 when we arrived and the pool was clean and they were serving frozen wine cocktails to make things bearable! Close to a water slide and vineyards.

Nice to have a golf cart to drive around but not necessary if you are close to one of the main buildings. It really was a great campground but not a quiet relaxing camping experience. If you are looking to have a calm quiet camping trip then go to a less crowded place.

Campground was clean and at a great location, but be aware of their online booking tactics, which takes the concept of supply and demand to a new level of rip-off on the cost of their campsites. Its hard to imagine how the management justifies a campsite costing one day $59/night, then the next day $160/night just because it gets within a few day of a holiday weekend. It is really a ripoff of their customers just because they can... These are the underlying issues in society today, when corporate America feels it is ok to get all that they can from their customers without adding any more value for the goods or services they deliver. Then on top of the campsite fee, that should include all fees but taxes, they add on additional Resort fees as a surprise at check out of $20 per day, the basic bait-&-switch game. Yes, I know it helps to plan ahead, so no need to give me a lecture on advance planning, but scalping someone just because you can, without incurring more cost to deliver the goods or services, is in very bad taste and unethical. The campsite pools are overcrowded and need more locations to divide the population of guest.

Beautiful, high quality RV resort! We stayed in one of the chalets and it was full of amazing amenities! There is an amazing heated infinity style pool with an awesome shallow end for little kids. The hot tub was perfect temp and a great size. There were bathrooms and showers right next to the pool. Theres a taco truck on site daily with tasty food. There is a great playground for kids. Such a great family resort and perfect for a family reunion since there are so many types of chalets to stay in.

The check-in process was extremely easy. The roads are clear and made backing in to the site really easy. All the sites looked level and well maintained. The pool was beautiful and heated, and there is a lot to do on site and close to the gates. Take advantage of the discounts; with those, it makes the entire stay very well worth it. We will be back.

Glamping paradise! I consider myself an expert in Paso Robles staycations since they kept me sane curing the COVID lockdown and continue to do so. This was my first Sun Outdoors experience and certainly wont be my last! Whether you are a tent camper who enjoys nice amenities, an RV pro, or, like me, someone who prefers their own little chateau to stretch out, there are accommodations that cater to your needs. The property is beautifully landscaped, the amenities are 5-star level, and the staff is fantastic.

Look. Its everything the average Glamper is looking for. Parking spots, playgrounds, pools and pavement. If your looking for clean, open accommodations with all the frills this is the spot. Arcades, splash pads, spas, movie nights, full hook ups, wine tasting, etc etc...Now Im a full fledged outdoor camper at heart and normally despise spots like this but with access to the river and local trails it made it worth the stay. Had an amazing four night stay this past week. I wish there were more RV resorts of this caliber in California. Awesome pool, hot tub and splash pad area, fantastic poolside food, and beautiful grounds. Only issue we had were a couple of the front desk employees were not very skilled in the art of proper hospitality and service. Oh well. Highly recommend.

Amazing RV resort. You will be not see anything like it or experience what an RV resort is supposed to be until you visit Cava. Everything in this resort is strategically planned around this beautiful park. The amenities are top notch and offer a variety of activities for kids. Everything about the park is convenient and close to one of three clubhouses. The swimming pool is amazing, warm and the splash pad rocks. The offer golf cart rentals, bocce ball courts, outdoor king size games, wine tasting opportunities, wellness center, game room and a bar that operates as early as 8:00 a.m . Weekday rates are much better and you will see less people. Holidays can be crowded and busy. Its a must for families who are either weekend warriors or just like to get away. Highly recommend!

Excellent RV park !We stayed for 4 days and wish we had longer . Every area of this resort is immaculate. Grounds, bathrooms, showers, laundry . We enjoyed staying on the lower end of the resort it was a little less crowded . The location is a 10- STAR !! The coast is a short drive away with world class views . Wineries, breweries, shopping is endless . Wi Fi was excellent! This will definitely be on our list every year !! Thanks to all the staff for the top notch service!

This place is awesome! I had a lot of fun here with my family and they had many fun things to do. While I was there it was nice to ride my bike around the campsite of the place. It was also nice because I have dog parks to take your dog there. People at this place are very nice and generous and well provide for you. In the front office and they have a little store where you can buy the essentials for your camping experience. Most of the stuff was very affordable and cheap and had great deals at the time. Near the front office they have little games and they also have a playground and a dog park. Theres also a bike trail that it was very cool to go on but theres a lot of downhill to go. They have full hookups for the trailers which were very nice and I could go to the bathroom. I would recommend going here for a family vacation or just a night out on the town.

We met friends here to go wine tasting having never been to the area. The park is well laid out and immaculate. Our two dogs, the velociraptor and the knucklehead enjoyed it as well. There are trails all along the perimeter to walk them and a dog park. The amenities are fantastic. We had a fire pit and the weather was great even with the one day of very light rain. This is on the high side of what we spend for a stay but it was worth it. Quiet and comfortable. We even enjoyed the unexpected four legged traveler sauntering through the campground in the middle of the day though the dogs were skeptical.

Nice place, very new and clean. Nice Dog Park. Kind of on the outskirts compared to the nice part of downtown but just a few minutes driving. Sure wish theyd pick up trash at the sites once a day or 3x per week or something. People coming to this kind of place dont want to schlep their trash three blocks down the street. Seems obvious.

Short trip this past weekend, everything here (swimming pools, hot tubs, Bistro) is now open. Had a burger from the Bistro and it was very good. Decent selection of adult beverages. RV spaces are large and not cramped to your neighbor. The only downside to our trip was having to purchase fire wood from the general store and it did not burn well at all, it was green. Had to abandon the fire pit at our site and call it a night. Wont forget to bring our own fire wood next time, lesson learned. Still worthy of a 5 star. Will return.

Great park. to the people who complain about this park. First you get what you pay for. A park this clean with the amenities offered you will pay a premium. If money is a factor for you then do us all a favor and stay at a state park. If you cant afford $25 to lock your site you have bigger problems. This park rocks it!!! Sites are large. Park has a on site bistro which is nice for times when you dont want to cook. Staff is friendly and helpful. This park has become our go place lately. It is close to all the wineries. Best part is there are no bad sites. Keep in mind the park is big and located on a hill. If you can be near your friends you may want to rent a golf cart to get around. Picture was taken from the back of my trailer. ****Update. Park is starting to slip due to management. The on-site bistro is now closed forever according to management. They now charge like $35 per day if you bring your golf cart. Overall we are less satisfied with this park and will not be returning as frequently.

Bryan and Gary of the staff were amazing and we remembered them also from 3 years ago. These guys will support you and there care and dedication is what makes this place what it is. This place is a huge disappointment and we will never return or recommend! They try to charge you extra on anything and everything they can. They try to charge you $30 more to lock in your spot you already reserved. Never stayed at a place that does this. Also never stayed anywhere that charged you $25 a day to bring your own golf cart. You pay a premium price to Stay here these things should be included. The sites are flat and big about the only thing going for this place. The landscape is nothing special. The pools are dirty. Not enough amenities for the size of park so everything feels over crowded. I would avoid this place and look elsewhere!

Beautiful park. This is definitely where we will be staying from now on. The park is so spacious and clean. They have amazing amenities. We enjoyed the pool/clubhouse area. The live music was a great addition. The park was very quiet overall and had no complaints. I would have given 5 starts but I was overcharged Wednesday upon my arrival and it was still not resolved when I left yesterday (Sunday). Left a message today to find out whats going on.

We normally stay in our RV here, but with gas price and a need to pickup wine club stuff, we stayed in one of cabins, 153. Our stay was 6/6-6/10. This was one of the larger cabins and pet friendly. Overall, we were pleased with the tiny house. I know when staying in one of these, you can plan on bedding, towels, some kitchen items, which was in the house and adequate for 2.....but maybe not more. Would be ok for 4 people.I do wish there were some other items included, like hand soap in the bathroom and kitchen. Also, having more than one kitchen hand towel would have been great.I know everything is surrounded by dirt outside. However, the floors could use a good wet swiffering.Enjoyed our stay and would do it again.

Stayed here 3 nights and had an amazing time. Place is clean and quiet. They have a nice sized pool, clean showers, a kids playground and a pet walking area. They have souvenirs and even firewood in the welcome center. There are places to go shopping nearby. I will definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing time.

First time visitor last month, enjoyed our stay very much. The location and amenities are excellent. So many options to go out and spend the day at beach locations, wineries or the local towns. We felt very safe and comfortable, most of the other guests were very friendly. Security was great we met up with friends and in the evening, time passed kind of quickly as our group had several sites and we had all gathered together at one site around the fire talking, listening to music and laughing. Security approached and said he could hear noise in the area and he wasnt sure if it was our group or not but he just wanted to remind us that we were in quiet hours. It probably was us but we did see him go to a couple of adjacent sites and do the same. It was much better then some places where security can come off with attitude or rude. We appreciated his professionalism.

Nice RV park in Paso. They have a lot of spacious spots for RVs/Trailers and nice accomodations for those without. We stayed in the chalet, which is like a small, 1 bedroom studio with a kitchenette. The kitchenette didnt have a stove, but there was a nice sized grill with external burner on which to cook. The patio area outside the room was nice and rooms are clean. The guards are only on duty until 10:30 so if neighbors are loud after that there is not much to do. We were there for 4th of July though, after that it cleared out and was a wonderful quiet park.

It’s a beautiful tv park. Great views. Clean pools. But then you get a bunch of kids on the golf carts speeding up and down the streets. I even saw a car full of teens all holding Coronas while driving. Later that night one of them almost flipped while chasing down another cart. Another one almost hit me while flying around a corner and all they did was laugh. I mean with all these blue lives matter flags and I support the police stickers everywhere somebody should have put these kids in check. Also watch out for dogs not on leashes. They need to have someone patrolling these golf cart drivers. It’s unsafe!

Update:Were going to go back and give this park another visit and hope that things are better this time.The setting is beautiful, the sites large, the electrical posts and water fittings are new. Other than that, this place has a real attitude towards some folks and it isnt good.We arrived with a group of about 26 rigs, a planned trip made a year in advance. It was cold, November weather, and instead of the promised meeting room, we were crammed into a room barely big enough to hold the attendees.I should have know there was going to be issues because upon on checking in, the front desk person was not in the least interested in smiling and went through the motions of greeting.I have been RVing for 12 years, 10 with the same group, and weve never been treated so negatively. I will also add that we are a LGBT group with hundreds of members, stay all over California, and have never been treated this way. Our rigs are new, we are respectful, we honor all those around us with our actions always recognizing that there are children in the park so why Cava felt they had to treat us so shabbily is beyond me. I will not recommend or stay in the park, there are too many others to choose from

Expensive and WINDY is our lingering impression of this place. We were here in August. THE GOOD: Sites are large as noted by others. Staff is pleasant. Facilities are clean, new, and attractive. They served breakfast and dinner on the weekend in attractive surroundings. We had free wine tasting when we arrived. Very attractive facilities and pools. All that is true. THE BAD: The landscaping is new and minimal so it looks like you are camping in the desert. The thing that turned us off to this place was the wind that came up every afternoon and ruined our enjoyment of the place. Im not talking about a breeze! We absolutely couldnt barbecue or have a glass of wine on the patio or enjoy relaxing outside at the end of the day. This happened every afternoon like clockwork and we were there for 6 nights. We enjoyed ourselves exploring the area and wine tasting, and the location of this place is convenient, but the cost of staying here is high for what you get. The resort is secluded on a hill, by itself at the end of a road, and the views are very nice, but it is too windy to make it a great place to stay in our opinion, and not worth the high prices for rv sites. If you dont mind heavy wind when you want to relax outside or the high price of staying here, then you will like this place because its big, uncrowded, new and convenient to stay when you are exploring Paso Robles.

As a Sun Community shareholder and a frequent guest, it pains me to write this review.I had read other reviews about the poor customer service at this park. Thought, surely, Sun RV Resorts Management Team had corrected the situation. I was wrong.Several times, I entered the office as the only guest to see at least six staff members sitting around and have to wait several minutes before being asked if I needed help.USPS delivered a package on Friday. Every day after that I came in to pick up the package. Each time staff told me mail hadnt been checked. Not until Tuesday when I was checking out and asked for the package did someone go to the mailbox to pick up mail. Four days, despite daily questioning. That is not incompetence, it is indifference.Also, there is one office staff member who is just plain surly. Always too busy to do his job.Other than that, it is a beautiful park. Spaces are large. Great location. I look forward to being able to return and give it a 5* review.

Nicest RV park we have been to....beautiful landscape, amazing pools and 3 spas. Clean laundry rooms and top notch gym. Each bathroom is private with shower toilets and sink in each one....although they tend to be messy from previous guest and not cleaned properly. My only real complaint is the staff are downright rude. Not very accommodating and for the price we paid it is a real shame. After reading other reviews it appears that issues with staff are not new and yet nothing seems to be getting better. Paso Robles is a small community and customer service should be top priority. Cava Robles has great potential. Customer service goes a LONG way.

Have gone to this nice new rv park several times. Great pools and large sites (Elite) for more money. Agree with a lot of other comments that the customer service is very sub-par. Do better training with your staff. Not sure why they have phones as they dont answer them. We chose and booked a specific Elite site at over $100 per night. Then we were moved without being informed because we didnt pay their $25 lock fee. That is a ripoff. Management needs to take notice of what they paying customers are saying.

Beautiful Resort. TOTALLY INCOMPETENT STAFF. We experienced the height of incompetence at Cava Robles. Our friends traveling with us forgot their toad keys at home. Their daughter had the keys overnighted to Cava Robles with their first and last name and space number on the package address. When we arrived at 3:00 P.M. and checked in, we asked for the package with the keys explaining that we couldn’t disconnect the toad for our back-in site until we had the keys. “UPS hasn’t delivered yet,” said Terri the “Welcome Center” clerk.“We have a delivery verification from UPS that it was delivered at 10:34 A.M. and signed for,” we responded.“Oh, I will look for it,” she responded, obviously annoyed. She walked back into the office, looked around and said, “It’s not here.”“It was delivered,” we reminded her.“Well, I’ll call the manager and ask her to check the mailbox. I’ll tell her you’re waiting in the office.” Fast forward one hour, the manager walks into the office. “Are you the manager,” we ask.“Yes, I am.”We asked if she checked the mailbox for the UPS package. “A while ago. It’s not there,” she says.“We’ve been waiting here for an hour,” we respond.“I didn’t know you were waiting!” she says. We ask her to check for the package again in the back and she states emphatically, “It’s not here. UPS sometimes says they deliver before the package gets here. You have to call UPS.” (Actually that’s not true).Meanwhile we are waiting in the check-in lane as others pile up behind us. In frustration, I walk around the counter and see a pile of packages leaning against the wall. I pick up a small package and lo and behold, there it is. “I found it,” I say. We had a great relaxing time. During all the craziness of the virus, it was a great family getaway. The park was nearly empty and the few people that were on hand working were very friendly and helpful. I ran out of propane and one of the men working came up to our site, picked up and filled our tank and brought it back to our site! He refused a tip and just said give them a good review. This place is nice but the manager, Jennifer Robertson, made our experience so awful, we will never go back. My wife and I were evacuees from Tahoe. We had not seen our cousins in over 6 years, plus our dog sitters had been in the hospital. Our hands were tied and we went to relax for Labor Day weekend and try to forget the devastation. Jennifer, and a man who she refused to give a name, came to the campground and harassed my cousins because we had too many pets. The only one barking was doing it because he is blind. The animals were all put inside but she continued to harass and tell us we had to leave, and our cousins as well, if the dogs were still at the site. She got in my wife’s face, talked to everyone like children, and when she was told she had no empathy, she called the cops. This woman is heartless, arrogant, and any company that would have such a horrible person representing them has zero integrity. We ended up desperate and paying over 600$ for the weekend at a Motel 6. We also only had dinner with our cousins, rather than the 3 day visit we were expecting. There was going to be a huge family reunion set there and because of her atrocious behavior, that will not be happening at that resort. My cousins have been amazing customers for many years. This past weekend changed everything. Our faith in humanity was very low after our interaction with this disgusting person. I can’t believe anybody in their right mind would give someone like this a position in management. I would never chance going to this place. I’ve been to much better. Price isn’t worth the troubles. JENNIFER ROBERTSON made a very stressful, emotional, and mentally exhausting situation that much more difficult. We will be taking other actions. We were worried about our house and town burning to the ground, while she was worried about extra pets that were not hurting anyone. This lady needs professional help. There is something really off about her. Be careful having a nice family vacation at this place.

Hey, We recently stayed at Cava Robles after a friend gave it a shout out. We are of the older crowd now but young at heart. The kids are gone so we unloaded the big diesel pusher and opted for the Toy hauler. We have stayed all over Calif. We have stayed at the Motorcoach Resort in Palm Desert and various other upscale spots.With that being said ....this place is one of the best....period. New, upscale, clean and well maintained. Yes there are lots of families, kids, food trucks etc... but you have to love it. Brings back memories for us when we watch everyone while we walk the park. Beautiful resort, spacious sites, lots going on. 2 pools and a bistro. Large doggie park. They lose all their stars with us do to the very narrow s turn going into the bottom section. Not enough room for two rigs to pass each other with the turns. They need a yield sign at the top of the hill or make it one way at a time. We now have $3000 worth of damage to side of the rig because of being forced off the road by another driver coming downhill after we were 3/4 of the way up. Our family of four just returned from Cava Robles. We will RV there again. The staff was exceptional especially down at the main pool. The restaurant /bar staff were friendly and food & drinks were delicious. Beautiful place. However, the first night our excited four year old and eleven year old rode their bikes down the main hill. Unknowing the steepness of the hill, our four year lost control of his bike and crashed. He suffered sever facial injuries as well as, scrapes and bruises. This place has become a total nightmare! Kids screaming and over running every single area of the resort. We live in Paso Robles and decided to take our first trip with our new RV to Cava. We checked in around 6pm on Friday. My husband was told that we had already checked in when we obviously hadn’t been. We went out for the day and came back and finally had a table and fire pit.There were lots of other things like this in regards to the customers service. Pools were just filled with chemicals and drunk parents. Showers were grimey and hair filled. So my daughter and her husband decided to stay at Cava Robles for 4 nights this month and invited mom and dad to visit. We we arrived on Saturday March 27th and at first I thought we had arrived at a zoo. Hundreds of people and kids everywhere without masks, no social distancing, crowded and cramped. My wife and I are also RVers and were a bit shocked at the number of people at this resort. It was built in 2018 and quite large. There were food trucks in the street, bicycles everywhere, loud music coming from camp sites, cars jammed each and every way. The company that built this Im sure had good intentions but its just too crowded, loud, busy, and basically more like a zoo than an RV park you would expect to find in wine country. The resort is convenient to Paso Robles and the wineries.The place is large and spacious, quiet with roomy lots. The place is new, and shows well.We enjoyed our stay, but a few things should be considered. We drive a 45’ coach and were assigned lot #41, a pull through lot with a bit of slope towards the front. In order to leave, we needed to back out rather than to pull through, otherwise we would likely to have scraped bottom. There are plenty of flat lots which would have been better. Be sure to check out your lot first. Btw, that was no big deal.We found the trash containers, finally. They seem few and far. There is scarce street lighting, so bring flashlights, again no big deal.Here is what should be of concern. The lots have concrete patios, nice, with fire pits. What worried us is that the spaces under your coach are entirely gravel over what could be clay. I wonder what would happen during a rain, and believe me it can rain in Paso Robles. We are 35,000 pounds, and would be difficult to extract from gumbo.Having expressed my concerns, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at cava. It is really a splendid place and we intend to return to Cava and the delightful region.

Would could be better, except....This resort has so much potential but needs to be whipped into shape. I normally am accustomed to staying at smaller owned RV camps. This was my first time at a “luxury” style RV resort. I was not satisfied with my stay. The cleanliness of this resort was not up to par; dirty bathrooms without soap or seat covers, broken glass at my site, dirty jacuzzi and garbage in my fire pit. When I informed the office they sent someone down to fill the seat covers but the soap and the toilet were not addressed and still had not been by the time I left two days later. When I again went to let the office know I was given excuses that someone “poaches” and it was the “poachers” fault. For over $80 a night in a packed park I would hope that at the very least things were kept tidy. I will not be returning here and do not plan on recommending anyone to this property.

Probably the most beautiful commercial campground we have stayed at in CA. Booking was easy peasy. We checked in late and it was easy to navigate to our space. RV spots were spacious. Nice bathrooms and grounds on site along with 2 pools and a spa. Premium sites seemed to be the same as the other sites and perhaps the additional costs is associated with the location. If you come on a busy holiday weekend reserve your Golf Cart ahead of time and be prepared to hunt for a spot to sit at the pool or bring an additional beach chair. Great activities for kids and dog parks. And the bees...lots of bees so bring your benadryl or epinephrine. I am giving the location a 4 out 5 stars only because the Bistro service was overwhelmed by the number of people and need more staff to accommodate the guests. We will be back!

This RV Resort is top notch. Full of amenities, dog parks, pools, wellness center etc. We enjoyed our stay. We felt safe in terms of Covid,, they have safety measures in place to minimize contact and encourage social distancing and the park is immaculate. Great spot for a base camp in Paso.

The resort itself was pretty nice in landscaping and layout, they had taco food trucks that were cool and it was a pleasant location convenient to Paso Robles... however, the positives end right there.Go stay at other resorts in the area if you want to have the comfort of reasonable customer service to do anything other than arriving and leaving.I had a package that was sent to Cava Robles which arrived a few days late, out of our control, so we requested that it was forwarded to us near San Francisco during our 2+ week stay there. The request was made on July 11th after we ended our stay on July 9th with Cava Robles.It has taken over 10 DAYS along with several phone calls, a few missed promises, and saying things like they will send it out in 20 minutes this week from management while simply not following through on several occasions until it finally got it sent out today on July 23rd. I noticed the charge on my card for $71... how could this be for a 1lb small package worth only $50 getting sent less than 200 miles? Oh, please let me explain.So heres the part that upsets me the most -- we gave them our credit card info on July 11th and requested Ground shipping which should have only cost $10. We were gonna be there for 2 weeks so even with a buffer for them being slow to send out no problem, right?Wrong, not only did we have to update this request to 2-day air (costs $27) in a final conversation due to their incompetence in delaying OVER 10 DAYS, but according to UPS calculating tools, they didnt even send it out by 2-day air as requested. They sent it via Next Day Air (Saturday Delivery), literally the most expensive option available. Oh but I didnt even get the emailed receipt they promised either.Was this some kind of joke, Im thinking? They delayed sending it out for OVER 10 DAYS while holding my credit card info, I was even nice on top of that and just said its okay to send it 2-day air now, and then they sent it out using a delivery option $60 more expensive than what I originally planned?Im very patient, very kind on the phone and theres no reason this should have happened. They either dont care about you at all after promising certain actions, or the level of incompetence is shocking. Neither of those are good.I spoke with David, the Guest Services Supervisor on the issue who assured me that it would be taken care of. I suppose a $71 shipping charge was his version of that. Why would they take it upon themselves to go from 2-day shipping to Next-Day Air (Saturday Delivery) you might ask? Probably because they forgot to do it after promising they were going to send it out in 20 minutes a day or two ago... so instead of calling to ask, they made the decision to upgrade the shipping from $27 --> $71 when it should have originally been $10.Is anybody else frustrated just reading this? Even if you dont care about shipping as an issue and just expect to come and go normally, these behaviors affect EVERYTHING in the resort if you pay attention.Ive had to call back multiple times throughout morning & afternoon to even get in touch with anybody at the desk (while many other major resorts answer immediately) throughout this whole experience each time. Maybe one out of four calls will get an answer, and they dont even return voicemails. This is why Im writing the review right now, because they cant even resolve this with me privately.For what its worth the water was also turned off one of the mornings at 9am for about an hour, no notice or warning just oops were doing maintenance? A neighbor informed me of this conversation after he was quite upset to have his water turned off during breakfast time.Overall all of these things obviously show that management is making poor decisions here so I recommend that you go stay elsewhere if you want to avoid any unexpected issues.Ive only ever written two negative reviews in my life, and this is one of them. Exceptionally bad customer service, a truly notable experience that I want other people to be warned about!

Great place but...you already pay an exorbitant amount of money to stay here which is fine because of the great amenities. My complaint lies with the lock in RV site fee. Upon booking they ask you where you would like to be, and they accomodate you. Here is the rub, if you dont pay the lock in fee of an additional $25 they can move you anywhere they would like within the same booked classification and they do! several times. Groups are disbanded, its a bad system! One more issue is that the rates change. So if you call and have to adjust your stay you could get charged more if the rates for those days have changed(they did, we did).

Super disappointed in this place, i made a reservation under a specific group name which had the correct dates on file (the employee must have not payed attention to the information i was giving her) so i was wrongfully booked for the month after. The employee admitted she was wrong and still after the fact her nor the assistant manager was able to accommodate with me with any requests i had. We spent April 8, 9 and 10 at CAVA. It was packed, pool was packed but we still enjoyed the area. We did not like the strange blue American flags that were on several rigs and the cause of 2 serious altercations. I am told them are pro law enforcement flags. Can RVers stop the angry flag thing??? Paso also has no good food markets, only Grocery Outlet type stores. So bring your own food.

The park itself is spread out and trash cans are scarce and a long walk (and they dont pick up bags if left out front). My sons scooter was stolen later we found out the staff said it was in the street so it was “property “ of the park. They were “asked” to not ride and because they 13 years old didn’t listen there scooters were taken without adult knowledge. We were harassed over and over threatened that we would be kicked out. Park is new so not much shading. The sites I was assigned had both 30 and 50 amp service, the 30 amp breakers were blown, therefore I was forced to use the 50 with an adapter, I had no surge protector. Consequently, power surges coupled with the increased amperage resulted in damage to my Class A RV. I have to accept responsibility for not having the surge protector. However, had the 30 amp service been working as requested, everything would likely have had a more positive outcome. Fortunately we are locals so we were able to raise the white flag and call the 3 day reservation short after just 1 day, the resort would not refund anything but did however give 2 days credit for later use. Bottom line is they are clearly aware their equipment is faulty, but it is on you to ensure you protect your property My Mistake.

The lock fee of $25 is a complete rip off. That is false advertising especially when you are clicking on a $90 spot, that spot has just turned into $115 if you’re staying 1 night. I will not be booking again, there is nothing special about this place to be nickel and diming your customers to death for a CAMP spot!! Not cool, considering your website all of the sudden pops up with an additional fee after you have “chosen” your spot. Was there for labor day weekend.They had plenty of trouble two days without power.People had to run theyre generator when they had one.The campground was packed and suffered from low voltage (80 Volts) in the hot weather when all the A/C units are running. I’m only giving two stars because a few people made the stay somewhat nicer. Holly and Brian were the nicest of staff and treated with understanding and courtesy. Shannon was by far one of the rudest people at the resort. She was extremely rude with us regarding a noise complaint (our music was too loud). We were told to turn it down or we would have to pack up and leave and not be able to return. No one ever approached us from the facility prior to multiple calls to all families that were in our group rudely stating their demand for us to turn it down. Meanwhile, various camp sites had music just as loud. We had no problem complying to the noise rule, but their method of “handling” the situation was awful, rudest I’ve ever encountered anywhere. For such a nice location with nice amenities (although quite a distance to a few of them) you would think the electrical system would not have as many issues as it did. Two days in a row of not enough power to keep our 5th wheels a/c running properly. We have young children and pets that we needed to keep cool in the 104+ weather. Thank goodness for our generator. As a person who understands costumer service is of the upmost importance this place is severely lacking in that department as well as services provided for the rates charged. I will not return until electrical issues are resolved and staff becomes more friendly. My family prepaid and it was non-refundable because of the holiday weekend, we had to fight for space at the overcrowded pool and no lifeguard on site. Camping is a fun outlet for our family and this place made it hard for us to enjoy ourselves with the multiple issues. I do not recommend this “resort”.

We are regulars to Sun Outdoors Paso Robles (previously Cava Robles so must be managed by different people) - this was our 4th time staying here and unfortunately likely our last. Our previous trips were nothing short of amazing. This time, we stayed in the same RV spot we’ve stayed in as previous visits. The grounds were clean and well kept as per usual but this time as soon as the sun went down, soooo many cockroaches came out! It was so gross. The roaches were everywhere and it was not just our site but we heard our neighbors saying they had roaches on their site too. It was so unfortunate because we did not have this issue in our previous visits. In addition, during previous visits they had time slots where they would vacate the pool so they can clean it mid-day but that did not happen so by late afternoon the pools are all cloudy.Upon check-out, we let the front staff know about the cockroaches and all 4 ladies at the front were not phased by it so I’m sure others have complained about this. If you’re considering coming here, just remember to bring roach spray and keep all your doors closed so you don’t get any in your camper. Such a beautiful property but has gone down hill since we first started coming here.

I stayed at the resort over July 4th weekend to visit family in the area. I inquired about staying Labor Day weekend while I was there and was told they only have 5 spots left in the whole site. I put down a 50% deposit (non-refundable during holidays). On August 2 they advertised a promotion on FB and I got an email saying if you stay during Labor Day weekend, you could be entered to win concert tickets for Ringo Starr and receive 15% off. I called over and at first I was told I could get the discount, but not be entered in the contest. Then the woman changed her mind and said I couldnt have either - it was for new reservations only (which it did not say this anywhere on the FB page or via email - I have copies of the original post - they have changed it since). I emailed management twice and never heard back from anyone, only to get a call this week from the same woman I spoke to asking me to pay my balance in full before I arrive because they are at capacity and will be too busy to check everyone in! How can you offer consumers something that isnt and never was available? Reluctantly, I have no choice but to stay there over Labor Day - but NEVER again will I stay at Cava Robles or any Sun Communities Resort.

Dave (ranger) was awesome, he stopped by just to make sure everything was ok while camping. Also Michelle in the office was great very friendly and assisted us with a smile, will be back several times👍🏽👍🏽

Stayed 2 nights on elite spotDisappointed how resort did not handle pool capacity.sunday was well managedMonday not so much never saw anyone disinfecting chairs and tables.i was there from 10 to 500pm for exception of lunchPeople walking in with bottles wine glasses .if you going to call yourself top resort make sure you have enough personnel.tried several times to call office at 400pm no one ever answerNeed to recalculate

The spaces are huge the amenities are the best we have experienced. The facility is pristine with so much to do. We loved the fact it is so dog friendly. It is the best of the best.

Very new and nice, really crowed this weekend and the fire smoke is terrible. The check in desk charged us $20 to check in 20 minutes early for a 10 day stay. WOW!!

Very disappointed for the $$$. The locals are using it as there pool on weekends over crowded and loud with multiple groups playing there music. Could be great with alot of CONTROL of how comes and goes.

This use to be our favorite place but no other campsite charges you to bring your own golf cart on top of the high price you pay to stay so we will not be back and they got rid of the bar and cafe so to us its not worth going anymore
