All I can say is this… Dr. Darin is hands down the absolute best chiropractor I have ever seen! He genuinely takes an active role in your healing and recovery. Living up here you are bound to beat yourself up physically a bit. He will listen, contemplate your lifestyle and suggest things you can do to prevent future injuries to yourself. I mean, he even sends me emails with “how to”videos for my exercises to ensure I am doing things right. I truly value his follow up care as well… Dr. Darin truly cares …and it shows!Thank you for always getting me back to normal after I wad myself up…lol…You are appreciated!

Very knowledgeable person and someone who is extremely flexible in scheduling. The doc has been pretty amazing and works with what works for you.. he’s easy to talk to and is not one of those money-hungry and aggressive chiropractors who wants all your money and wants to adjust you in a thousand places… he works on your areas where you are hurting and makes minimal adjustments so you aren’t overly correcting or having to sit through 200 adjustments in a setting. Highly recommended. You feel safe in his appointments. And he has a very calming personality.

Wow - thank you Dr Darin!!!! It’s always nerve wracking to find a chiropractor while traveling but we are so thankful we did. Our chiropractor in Florida called and chatted with him and determined they were like minded. He was able to see my son, who sprained his neck on the ski slope, the same day. He took time to assess his whole body and get to know us - he treated him appropriately and carefully and gave us great stretches to do to promote healing. I’ve been seeing Dr. Darin on and off for the last couple of years. He’s the first person I called when I fell and messed up my back, and when I did numerous other injuries to my body. I’m always amazed at how quickly he is able to schedule me in.I’ve seen several chiropractors over the years and would say that Dr. Darin is very good. He is patient and takes the time to thoroughly explain injuries as well as to provide instruction for exercises to do at home in between visits.He’s also a really nice guy. I highly recommend.

After my car accident, I worked with Dr. Hayworth throughout the summer, and he helped me regain a lot of movement in my arm, shoulder, and hip. Hes the best!He thoroughly explained my issues and even demonstrated them on an interactive diagram of the human body using his iPad. He created a comprehensive plan for me, which included therapy (adjustments) and at-home exercises/stretches. These exercises are available on his website once you become a patient and create a profile. You can also schedule appointments through their website.I am now treating my hip, but I am grateful for his assistance. If you are seeking a doctor who is compassionate, transparent, and will answer every single one of your questions, he is the one for you!

I found Dr. Darin by googling Chiropractors in the Lake Tahoe area. I am very pleased and extremely grateful for Dr. Darin. He conducted an excellent examination and explained all my concerns and solutions seamlessly. I entered the office in pain of an 8 and left the office in pain of a 3. He was patient and so kind. I have been seeing Dr. Darin off and on for the past 8 years. Over those years he has treated me pretty much from head to toe. Dr. Darin is compassionate, a good listener and explains things in a way that makes sense. Darin is an amazing chiropractor, and very friendly. I have had a number of snow-shoveling-related issues with my back, and Darin always sorts me out very quickly. Due to weather, I skipped two of my appointments, and after six weeks of not having had an appointment, I realized that my back was beginning to get very stiff. When, I finally got in, I was restored back to that wonderful feeling of flexibility and spaciousness. So great.A lot of chiropractors run their shops like a mill, just getting people in and out the door. Darin is not like this: he really takes the time to explain exactly what is going on, and is always giving me great exercises and tips. I am a bodyworker myself, and am impressed by his simple yet effective counsel. I have integrated his suggestions into how I move during my work day.

I was referred to Darin by a friend after I suffered whiplash in a ski crash. I was in constant pain, couldnt sleep, couldnt turn my head, and had major headaches by the afternoon every day. Darin was able to get me into the office on the same day and offered immediate improvement in my symptoms.Darin was incredibly thorough in testing my range of motion, types of pain, and overall symptoms. He then explained his findings and treatment plan using diagrams and language I could understand, and worked on my soft tissue before doing a targeted adjustment, so I was able to fully relax.I went home with a list of exercises to do and a clear understanding of our treatment plan. We started with two visits per week and have been able to extend the time between visits according to my symptoms.I cant recommend Darin & Summit to Shore more highly. He is realistic, has excellent bedside manner, and was able to help me get back to normal activity quickly and safely.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Haworth for about two years. Originally I sought him out because I was having extreme back pain. Within a couple of visits I was much better. Since then, I’ve been a regular patient, seeing him weekly. As a result, we “catch things” like sciatica and low back pain before they get out of control. I booked with Summit to Shore Chiro to have my pinky looked at.I had a bike accident two months prior.It was not healing, I felt a lot of pain in the joint and swelling. I couldn’t bend it.When I came in Darin was kind and gentle.He listened to me describe what was going on. Then he found out it was not a fracture but a sprain.He did some gentle manipulation giving my finger more blood supply to start the healing.He showed us what we could do at home to support speedy recovery.It’s been 3 days later and my finger feels 90% fully healed.That’s incredible!Especially when it was 10% healed when I came to see Darin.Thank you so much!I will be back to see you!He also worked on my neck and I have relief from his gentle adjustment.

Dr. Haworth is the most knowledgeable and professional Chiropractor Ive ever been to. Ive been dealing with lingering issues after a somewhat major ankle surgery a couple years back, and Dr. Darin was great in taking time to understand what symptoms Ive been experiencing, explaining the causes to me in detail, and guiding me on exercises that can help manage pain and rebuild strength in the areas needed. I had my mid back go out (after my husband forgot to tell me he put the electrified mat on). It was pretty debilitating and Dr. Haworth was able to put it back in place in one visit. After I road around the lake, he was able to alleviate some lower back pain (again in one visit)

Ive been going to Darin for a couple months for shoulder, neck, and back pain and have noticed a huge difference. Ive always been a believer of chiropractic care and was going to someone down in Sacramento before I moved here. After I moved to Tahoe I didnt get adjusted for a year, so I was pretty stiff. Darin doesnt just adjust you quickly and move on to the next. He actually takes his time to ask how everything is feeling since the last visit and makes adjustments to your care based on your feedback. He also spends time loosening up the muscles before adjusting you and does some stretching. I would highly recommend going to Darin for your chiropractic needs. The masseuse that works there, Nicole, is great at massages too!

Felt relief after my adjustment, am able to take a deep breath without pain and my low back pain is better. I am seventy five years young. I say young because my quality of life is good. I dont feel like I am seventy five. Thanks to Summit to Shore Chiropractic. Summit keeps me tuned up. Once a week I get a short treatment to keep me flexible and pain free. I tried going in for treatments every other week, but every week is much better. Because I do some heavy lifting at the Christmas Cheer Food Bank, I will sometimes strain a tendon or a nerve, so I depend on Summit for healing. I purchased the Back Hammer, massager from Summit, and I love it, as well as some of the supplements available at Summit.If I could, I would give Summit to Shore a Ten-Star rating.

On 1/16/23 Darin Haworth caused me to have a vertebral artery dissection causing me to have three life threatening strokes. This is a large concern among chiropractors and unfortunately he was one of them. This is very valuable information for any potential clients.

I absolutely recommend Summit to Shore Chiropractor Dr. Haworth. Since seeing him my lower back has no more pain, my nerve pain in my right arm has went away, and my ankle has gotten more range of motion! From an athletic view point he has also helped with my hip alignment and strength as well as better glute activation. Since my hip surgery my right glute wasn’t firing properly but now it is. I also like how he gives you things to work on at home that have really helped me progress.

Im not a fan of chiropractors. Ive been to a few and had some bad experiences in the past. When I had some neck issues recently, I knew if I wanted quick relief Id have to see a chiropractor. My fears of chiropractors had long kept me away but after a recent fall on the mountain Dr Haworth told me to come in and get an evaluation. After the evaluation Dr Haworth explained to me what was wrong, how he could help and gave me exercises to practice at home. Since Dr. Kane moved from the Tahoe area, I have been looking for another chiropractor who I feel offers the same level of care. Recently, I found Dr. Haworth. Like Dr. Kane, he has taken the time to get to know me and always shows interest in my personal life. He always listens and gains an understanding of the reasons for each of my visits. He also really takes the time with each patient to explain what is happening with their body and to make sure the patient knows how to best work toward recovery. He and his wife, who also works in the office, are warm, caring, and always seem genuinely happy to see me. I was experiencing lower back pain due to going a little to hard while shoveling snow and made an appointment to be treated by Dr. Haworth. He’s is great at understanding and diagnosing the pain, treating the area and then providing guidance on easy exercises to mitigate reoccurrence. In addition, my back is feeling great and my issues of a sore lower back after a day of skiing have stopped. I have chronic pain in my jaw, neck, shoulder, and knee and wasnt sure what I was doing to do with myself if something didnt change...soon. I tried the traditional doctor, acupuncture, neuromuscular visits - little helped for extended periods, but I felt relief at Summit to Shore. Not only did I have less pain going twice a week initially, but I was shown exercises to work on my alignment. Dr. Haworth is a wealth of knowledge. Dr. Haworth took great care of us while we were in town to run the Emerald Bay Half Marathon. We had traveled from Virginia to compete in the race and needed some TLC. After at least a year of pain, I couldnt take it any more and went back to the Chiropractor. I found Dr. Haworth available right down the street. I was convinced that my pain was a result of compensation from an old injury, but Darin was able to locate a new problem. He was able narrow the search to a rib out of place in my back(most likely the result of ski/bike falls). With minimal manipulation and a couple sessions, I was pain free. Never underestimate the ribs! Darin takes a minimal approach and gets you maximum results. I welcome him to South Lake Tahoe and will be visiting him as often as needed.

Upon reflecting on all the blessings Ive received in this very difficult year, Dr. Haworth and Summit to Shore Chiropractic are right at the top of the list! At 68 years of age, life as an avid dancer combined with scoliosis and osteoarthritis and a couple of chronic breaks in my body left me hobbling in to see Dr. H at the beginning of the year. Darin saved my/our MTB trip. I did a wrong move and my back was blocked 5 min into the first trail, quite painful, impossible to ride a bike, even sitting or standing was very uncomfortable. Luckily he was able to squeeze me into his schedule during his lunch break. I was always sceptical to see a chiropracter as you hear lots of bad things. Darin is very knowledgeable and competent, he found and understood the issue right away and I was able to ride every day for the rest of the week.

I have just started treatment at Summit to Shore for Drop Foot. In the first week, I learned about the pinched or irritated nerve causing my foot to drop. In the first week I received a ten page email from Summit to Shore telling me how to do everyday movements properly. For example, keeping my knees together when entering a vehicle. The email also contained stretches and exercises. I noticed improvements in my second week, like more flexibility in my foot, leg, and back. I am looking forward to more improvements in week three.

Dr. Howarth has a treatment approach unlike any other I have encountered in chiropractics. He does not simply ask what is wrong, make a couple of adjustments, and ask to see you next week. I scheduled an appointment and went in to see Dr. Haworth for back pain that I was having. My girlfriend actually found him and said it was very easy to get ahold of him and I was scheduled in to see him very soon afterwards.After a few visits with Dr. Haworth we had a much better diagnosis of the problem and I was already make big strides in getting better. He diagnosed that the pain in my back was ultimately coming more from previous knee and ankle injuries, as well as poor muscle firing in my gluteus. He gave me some different movements, stretches, and exercises to use everyday and to add in to my workout routines that would help improve my movements and muscle firings. The results have been fantastic! Dr. Haworth is also very friendly and easy to work with.I would highly recommend Dr. Haworth and summit to shore chiropractic for anyone looking for a great chiropractor!

I first met Dr. Haworth and his dog Macie, while exercising my own dog Jackson in a popular local meadow. When I experienced pain in my shoulder and neck after working from a ladder on my new cabin, I made an appointment and was immediately seen. I was thankful to have established myself there when my reoccurring sciatica left me in extreme pain and unable to go forward with my regular routines.Dr. Haworth takes a great deal of time exploring his patients health history as a basis for getting to understand them in their current situation. He takes care to explain, in understandable terms, what treatments he recommends and exactly what he is doing while he is hands on. Most impressively, Dr. Haworth took the time to teach me various breathing techniques and stretching exercises to help me take my own action in the cycle of conditions that have the propensity to reoccur. I have sought help from several chiropractors for my sciatica problems over the years. I arrived for my first appointment in considerable pain from the condition-unable to even sleep or sit . During treatment, he taught me a position and technique intended to immediately ease the pain level. It was the first time I have ever sought help for my sciatica while in agony and left an office out of pain. In every appointment, he explained the where and why of the inflamed area muscles and nerves, as well as an honest time frame of healing. The procedure he taught me to perform when sciatic pain returned allowed me to counteract and virtually eliminate the nerve pain on my own when it accelerated at home. I am extremely grateful for that and the time he took to teach me a quick, daily exercise routine to help prevent the condition from returning. Empowering me in my own management of the horrible pain of sciatica while in the midst of it has been life changing. Dr. Haworths approach employs a steady process both of resolving the trauma causing the pain and teaching the patient how to maintain that return to pain-free health. His office manager (and wife Melanie) is extremely professional (she is steadfast in handling all insurance issues!) and adds to the calm, respectful and caring ambiance of this practice. It is one that seeks to see each person and takes its time with them. There is a clear sense of the ultimate goal of moving him/her back to full health while empowering personal participation in the whole process. I highly recommend Dr. Haworth and his practice.
