Dr. Salem and his office team at Northridge location are truly amazing. No waiting time. My appointment was on time. Dr. Salem did listen patiently to all of my concerns and ordered all the necessary tests and procedures. Thanks to his knowledge., experience and expertise my health problems were addressed accordingly and symptoms minimized after procedures. Dr. Salem is very professional and explains topics very well. I like how he sits down in a chair across from me and talks rather than standing across the room and typing into a computer. Its not easy to feel comfortable with a doctor that is going to view your gastro intestinal track but he makes it very comfortable.

I Had very good experience with Dr.Salem, at my first appointment he presented himself as very smart, knowledgeable, patient and caring professional. I had both procedures endoscopy and colonoscopy done together after and everything went well .. Doctor Salem is a very busy doctor because he’s a real good doctor! My in office appointment is in October (it’s currently August) but given that I was having some issues and needed a recommendation for a different specialist, he took time from his day off to call me, guide me on what I should do and give me the necessary recommendation I needed. I still have my in office appt in October but thought that it was real cool that he would take time from his day off to guide me. I highly recommend him!!!

Dr Salem has top ratings for a reason. He addresses your concerns right then and there. I felt very comfortable talking to him from the get go. From our first consultation, he was able to diagnose me and provide me with a plan of care and action. I would recommend him to my family and friends. The front office is very easy to deal with and friendly. It did take some time to see for an appointment because he’s a popular MD and fills his schedule pretty fast. I am one of the lucky ones to get care from him before my issues get worse and to a point that I would have to see him regularly. Hopefully my last appointment with him is the only one I have to go to for many, many years to come. But if I have any issues in the future, I will go back to him because I am confident that he is competent and exceptional in his field.

In the past, I have felt that due to insurance or policy, doctors are forced to shuffle people in an assembly line. Im very impressed with the service which I had recieved during my first visit in Dr. Suhail Salems office. Soon as I walk in to front office I was welcome by nice soft spoken receptionist. Recieved forms to fill out with my personal information and soon as I finished all paperwork I was called immediately to the exam room for my blood pressure. The nurse informed me, the doctor will see me soon. Within short few minutes Dr. Salem walked into the exam room. Dr. Salem asked me few questions about my medical status, then fully explained to me what exactely should be done to find out and to prevent my medical conditions, he was very concern and very clear in explaining to me the procedure including the test which should be done before he can recognize the reason of my medical condition. He was very kind and was not rushing.I felt very comfortable and satisfied. He treated me with respect. After our private conversation he asked me to come with him to the front office to schedule the test. His nurse was very kind giving me all the written informations about the test and what needs to be done prior to the test.This was the very pleasent visit and I must mention, prior to my retairement I use to work in medical field and I remeber how I wanted the patients to recieve the best medical care.Dr. Salems office is the best example.SincerelyAnn J. I am very critical about choosing a doctor, and was impressed by Dr. Salem’s background, especially his training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, arguably one of the best institutions in the world. Aside from his training, he was a consummate professional in addressing my issues. He was patient, listened to my concerns, addressed them and was very thorough in following up to make sure everything had been resolved. Dr Salem is a dedicated, professional and brilliant physician. I have suffered for years with a painful Gi problem and seen many GI doctors who have not had either the knowledge, skills or motivation to try to find and treat the source of my problem. Dr Salem is the only one who has cared and taken the time and effort to try to help me me. He goes the extra mile which is rare to find. Good doctors are very hard to find altogether. The other drs basically just wanted to do procedures and couldn’t be bothered trying to help- one actually told me to not come back. Dr Salem is a great doctor and he has heart. On July 20, 2022, doctor office called me to pay $820 otherwise they will cancel my appointment at the last minute. I paid $820 from my pocket.A month later, I got another invoice of $627.48.Please think twice to visit this doctor office.

I came in to see Dr. Salem because of stomach pain, frequent burping and other issues. He listened to all my concerns and I could tell he cared. I went through an endoscopy, and he was able to find what was wrong with me and thereon took the next steps to help me feel better. I was fearing the worst but thank God for Dr. Salems experience and knowledge to help me with my issues. His nurse Natalie was really kind as well. She would answer questions I had about my prescriptions and tried to help me save money on some of the ones that werent cover with my insurance.

My whole like I’ve suffered with stomach/intestinal problems and every single dr I had been to could never help or tell me what was wrong. It was always the same thing, eat more fiber, drink plenty of water, which I had been. I had given up hope with my stomach/intestinal issues. I let yrs pass by and figured I’ll give it one last try. I googled Gastroenterologist and found a couple of Dr’s. I came across Dr Alan Naim, read the reviews and figured I’ll give this one last try. I’m so glad I did! It’s been a lil over a month since my first visit and he has helped me so much! My husband was a patient of Dr. Salem. In September 2021 we visited Dr. Salem because my husband was suffering from severe diarehea. Being diabetic it was a concern for us. Dr. Salem did not take it seriously and kind of dismissed the whole diarehea situation. Within few days my husband was admitted to the hospital as an emergency case. According to attending doctors at the hospital due to the diarehea his body had dehydrated and his kidneys shut down. Due to Dr. Salems negligence my husband is now on dialysis. Even when my husband was in the ICU Dr. Salem did not care to come and check on him. After we complained to other attending doctors, he came to check on him, but no sign of caring whatsoever. He comes across as an arrogant and cold person, not a caring doctor.
