This is the 2nd year this company came out to my childs elementary to take their 6gr promotion pictures. The quality isnt the greatest, but the 1st time I had an issue with the pictures, the person was able to fix the problem right away. I was very happy with the results. I just had my last 6 grader take her promotion pictures, and I was not happy with them. Its how they made her hold a rolled up paper in the pictures that just doesnt look right. Shes using her finger tips to hold the rolled up paper and it makes her look like SHES ADVERSING THE PAPER SHE HOLDING! When looking at their purchase advertising flyer the rolled paper is held differently by the child. I did try to call them in hopes to schedule another appointment and retake the pictures and PAY FOR THEM AGAIN. Unfortunately, Im in Anaheim and the ONLY AVAILABILITY FOR THEM is Tuesday or Thursday from 3:30-4:15pm. Its a 45 min drive to go to them. A morning or Saturday appointment would have worked best for me given I live in Anaheim. According to the back and forth messaging with the studio1 person, thats all they can do, and thats how they make the child hold that paper with their FINGER TIPS! Please see the picture STUDIO1 IS USING TO ADVERTISE. Thats definitely not the way their photographer made my daughter hold that rolled up paper. Im not happy with how her portrait was taken!

The only reason I wont give 5 stars is because they didnt have my son take off his big winter coat and his hair is messed up so now I prepaid for pictures that look horrible and I hate. Learn from my mistake and only order fall pictures you can order later because with spring pictures you have to order ahead and if you dont like them its money down the drain. To any photographers out there please I know you are doing tons of kids but please give the attention to each to ensure a good picture. Update, I just read the other reviews and I see Im not alone in these issues. I also noticed the owner will only respond to good reviews. The school district really needs to change photographers again.

My son attended spring school picture day and he had on a nice button up and was looking so good. Whoever the photographer there made my son take a photo in a black hoodie. I contacted the school and was told no make up’s are allowed. I will be contacting the studio. But this is very unacceptable.update I see other reviews with the same issue. It is very unfortunate to pay for pictures that don’t turn out to not even close to how you send your kids to school.

Picture quality by Studio1 is pretty good. My children’s school has used them for pictures for all the years my kids have been there. One year, I was unhappy about my child looking extremely awkward in the picture (the smile was not a smile), but I received the pictures before the make up day and was able to have retakes done on the picture make up day. A different year, I also was inhappy with the pictures but did not receive the photos until after the make-up photo day, so I was unable to have them retaken. Not sure if this was just bad timing by the school or the photo studio. I have also been a parent volunteer on picture day and have helped the kids fix their hair and clothing before hand. So essentially the school was ensuring the kids looked their best with the help of the parent volunteers. It was nice that Studio1 provides disposable 1 time use combs and hair spray to help the kids look their best. Picture day is a bit hectic and the photographers are occupied taking the pictures once the kids come up. It would be pretty hard to have the photographers also be in charge of having kids fix their clothes and hair in those moments, But maybe it would be helpful to have a couple of pictures taken on the children to ensure a better picture or at least have alternates if a parent is unhappy. All in all, when I have reached out to customer service they have been helpful. I didn’t reach out that time after the make up day was missed because it was already close to the end of the school year that time (post Covid). But, I think if you contact them directly when needed, they would try to remedy it. I hope this helps. ALSO We especially like package 4A that comes with stickers, and 3 other photo sheets. I hope it comes back next school year. We didn’t have that selection available for the spring pictures, but it would have been nice. And they do have an online order option, but for spring pictures, you have to pay beforehand if you want to order or send the envelope same day. It says it on the picture envelope. I think for normal school pictures you can order later because all of the kids get their picture taken, but not sure…

This has been the second time that I have gotten pictures of my child not smiling.1st time I got a beautiful picture of her smiling the following she told me she didn’t smile. But this school year she takes pictures she told me smiled and the photographer told her to smile and then not smile.. they have them stand awkwardly instead of a prop for there arms to rest on. I swear my child picture looks more like a mugshot then a school picture and I know she smiled for her picture and I get sent the one photo she didn’t smile in . At least let the parent pick the photo they like. the school needs to switch photographer because my baby has a beautiful smile and the picture I get looks terrible.

Im really disappointed with the photographers ability to capture high-quality photos. It seems like they might need to improve their skills quality of the photos considering their cost. Its frustrating that they expect you to wait another 4-5 weeks for pictures after a retake given that they didn’t take a good photo. That seems unfair and inconvenient.

I am extremely disappointed with this company. I only gave it a one star because I had too however this company doesn’t deserve any stars! They discriminate against lower income communities. My sons school was scheduled to take pictures today and they did not allow him to take a picture because he did not take his payment. I was planning on paying online because I don’t like sending him with cash or checks. The worst part is that my son Was looking forward to take his picture and he dressed up really nice for it, thank you Studio 1 for making my son cry! He is a second grader for Gods sake! And you pretty much broke his heart.

I just wish there was a picture package of 1-8x10, 1-5x7, 4-4x5, 8-wallets also available instead of a la cart. Also, need to offer “Best Gigi” in addition to grandma. Satisfied with my purchase no the less.

As a photographer myself, this studio should be embarrassed at the quality of photos and these horrendous backgrounds. Also, every student’s envelop automatically has $20 added to retouch and have their names printed. Nowhere on the envelope does it state this is optional, however the rep at Studio 1 says it is. Very dishonest. This is just the beginning.On my son’s picture day, I picked him up from school and he’d contracted Pink Eye. I immediately text the “customer service” line asking if there’s a retake day. Nope. Fine, so I asked them to just proceed.I get a response the next day stating they shredded my check.Their photos are just as bad as their customer service. BUYER BEWARE of their “included costs” printed on your envelope. They’re not mandatory and nowhere does it state it’s optional. Lawsuit waiting to happen scamming every student out of $20. 🤯Do better, Studio 1. It’s pathetic.

I was very disappointed to hear that because I did not purchase any packages my kids were not able to have their photo taken for spring pictures. LIFETOUCH should be in all schools not only are they more affordable but they dont exclude children who dont pay for packages. LIFETOUCH sends a preview of the picture in case you change your mind and would like to purchase the picture. Thats what I thought this company was going to do.
