They were very ice, pleasant, accommodating when I first joined and agreed to pay them each month, but since I didnt like how some things were being done there and I told them so, I have not heard hide nor hair from them. They dont answer my calls or send me any emails like before. They billed me an amount of money that we agreed upon and now they are billing me more than that without my knowledge or consent telling me I have to sort it out with Accounting myself. Also, I asked many, many times for someone there show me how to change my password on their portal and to ate have not gotten a response to this question. When they send emails they send the same exact email two and three times to make it look like they are busy.. Otherwise thee is no logical reason why they do this. It is a terrible waste of time and space. When one individual talks to me she talks to me with an attitude, talkin down to me like she is talking to a child. Well thats about it for my experiences. I better hear from them next week or well see what happens.

Absolute SCAM!!! They took my fiance for $1600. They kept taking 441$ out earlier and earlier every month even though they kept promising they wouldnt. They lie terribly. When he got a new debit card, some how they got his bank routing number and took it out that way. Please DO NOT try this so called company. They just drain you of money and nothing gets reaplvwd.

In the beginning when we first started with them they were great. Last year we filed our 2022 returns late so they could help with our past years and help get us on the hardship program. Everything went great for my husbands 2022 taxes. Altho I am having trouble with mine. Got a very concerning letter from IRS on Thursday of last week. I immediately called that evening leaving 5 or more different messages with 3 different folks. 24 hrs later I finally got a call from a lady. She seemed confused saying I should have got a refund. I told her that was on my husbands she kept insisting it was on mine. Then she finally told me to e-mai pics of the letter. I did that very evening. I finally got a response a couple hrs ago. It says and this is ALL it said They probably charged you a late filing fee when pics I sent her clearly state otherwise. Penalties and interest!!!!!I sent an immediate response asking what could be done and what about them representing me like they did for the earlier years like was stated to me when I agreed to have them figure 2022 taxes. Still waiting on a response They helped fix several years of our taxes so I was worried. Im beginning to feel otherwise.

If you notice they always use the same reason why they didn’t perform. They blame it on you. If you are lawyers you can get extensions by asking. How do I know because irs says so. Lawyers work out deals you guys take advantage of people. Watch their response!!! Save your money!!!!

If you are reputable you would return my money. You stated that you would show what you have done, yet I have yet to see any proof of what you did. I was told I was talking to a lawyer and he stated that I only had 5 days left to start the case or it was going to be too late to help. He said they would require 3000.00 up front and they could proceed. He also stated they could reduce the amount of money I owed the I.R.S. This place never kept in touch with me, I always had to call them, except when they said they were finished with my c a se. They didnt help at all.

A few years ago we went to this company and all seems ok things went perfect helped a lot! I then got a email from one of the higher ups how appalled he was on how our case was handled and told me to get a refund or find a lawyer instead that was called an accident and was told things are fine so ok got our letter of agreement things went well. Now few years later I find out possible Leon or garnishment!!! I contacted the company numerous times and nothing emails returned no answer at all! Be very aware of the support you get from this place! Now it’s back to stressful nights etc after paying this company a few thousand! Seems to be shady yea helps you out when needed and all good then when issue comes up your invisible and don’t exist!

I changed my review. This is a scam operation. Fee is high, they do nothing for you that you can do yourself. At the beginning, they said they are in negotiation with the IRS. After several month they said the succeeded in reducing the monthly payment from $750 to $373, meaning it will take twice as long to pay the debt and the interest and penalties will pile up; something I could have done on my own. Then they said the heavy negotiations will start and they offer a big discount if I pay the balance at that time, which I did and that was the last thing they did for me. A total rip off.

These people will lie to you to get your business! Be careful! Do not use them! Go elsewhere. If I could I would give them negative stars! This company is not above lying and cheating to get you to sign a contract or to extend one. When I went to them the first time it turned out to be an easy problem, but I was told that since I had received a medical settlement that I would need to have them help me with my income tax return as I would owe thousands of dollars in income taxes. Naturally I believed them and went back to them for their help. Turns out though that they lied to me. You do not get tax liability for medical court settlements. I did not owe thousands of dollars in taxes. Of course they wont give me my money back and are threatening me with the contract I signed. That contract did not stop my freedom of speech, and I am going to do all I can to see that no one else ever falls for their lies again.

Then my state department of revenue filed a lien and garnished my wages- something they claimed could not happen. Worst customer service ever. On hold 45 minutes. Then you hear a spool on phone due to Covid short on staff. Covid hardly exists anymore. The country is open for business, so it then says dial1 for a call back. I went through this ritual 3 times and I gave up. Also my account caught mistakes in my taxes that I pay they to do. Lucky She caught the mistakes. Sirs had me owing 800. In reality the state owed me 280. Worse very expensive service I will not do again. You better off local somewhere to resolve tax debt.

This company got my elderly father for over 20k and have done NOTHING for him! They keep calling and threatening that the IRS is going to take his money.He currently lost his job and is unable to find new employment due to his poor health, has asbestosis and plethora of other issues from military service and is working on disability and would like to be able to collect his social security to retire but is scared the IRS will take it but this company has zero answers. Their professionalism for me was awesome, being homeless and having surgery made it difficult to be on time with what was asked of me and a few times things have come up where my payment was not on time for one reason or another such as getting my medicines, have to eat, gas, getting maintenance on my car, Ext. or I just forgot the date. I regret doing business with this company, the only time they call me was when my payment was due, I requested my case manager to call me in numerous occasions and never received a call back. They told me the IRS will stop collecting and the IRS will not levy my account, they lied, the IRS continue to send me collection letters and the IRS garnished my income. This is literally the WORST experience I’ve had, and when a company who says they are there to help. That I am PAYING to help.Here are just a few of the problems:- Constant attempts to contact for updates on case, with no response for days / sometimes a whole week.- Every person I spoke with gave me different information- Their constant mistakes and neglecting my case caused a delay that will be financially detrimental.If I had been given accurate information at the start of the process, at least I would have know and made a decision based on facts rather than constantly changing answers from each new person.- I will now end up paying more overall because I’ve given StopIRS a bunch of money and will not qualify for anything with the IRS other than the payment I can get for myself for free, in a matter of minutes, on the IRS website.WORST OF ALL, after constant mistakes and SEVERAL messages asking about how to cancel, finally the issue was escalated and it was explained that I must cancel in writing in a specific manner and none of my many attempts to do so would “count” to get me out of the legal paperwork I signed with them.AND compliance would get back to me and let me know the balance for billable hours. Seriously?!?BEWARE! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!It’s better to work directly with the IRS, as they gave many payment plan options available OR hire a lawyer who will actually talk to you (because these lawyers wouldn’t speak to me, even after all the mistakes, and a request to speak with them).Seriously, don’t do it. He wanted to know the story of why we needed help which was important because my wifes income is very high. After knowing what was going on he suggested taking a course of action that others wouldnt. Its been over a couple of years now sense I received service from StopIRSDept.Com and there is something VERT IMPORTANT that everyone should be absolutely clear about. My dept to the IRS did not Stop. This only means they stop chasing for the money they say is owed. Now they just wait. Wait as in the form of Filing Your Taxes. If your expecting a return dont expect a return. The IRS still keeps my return. This was not made absolutely clear to me and this rates pretty high on that list of Important Things the Clients Should be Made Absolutely Clear Of. Sure I found it in the writings of my contract but what a disappointment it was when I didnt get that long awaited return check I hadnt seen in a long time. I was told how rediculous I was for expecting a tax return. That I did not need to hear. It was less than a year after receiving service when I gave them a 5 star rating. Ill keep it at a 5 star for the service they offered. I thought now it was important I gave my opinion.

Then you provide all the information that they asked for and they still cant seem to get it correct. So far so good, I sent corrected IN. tax papers for about 2 years for the tax years in their interest, and never heard one word back from IRS. I worked many construction jobs out of state. But only 1 year state taxes were held out in IL., and when I did my year end taxes, that money should have been returned from IL. but wasn’t because I owed old taxes from 1989 in IL. which surprised us,beings we moved to IL. on Dec. 9, 1989 from AZ.,and my first job in IL. with any pay was in March 1990. Then also the over payment of unemployment by NJ to me back around 2012 or so, where I had to send thousands of dollars back, but my papers showing the return of funds was denied, thus starting this whole mess. IRS would not accept a copy of the repayment and asked for the actual forms showing the repayment, only to be never seen again, ever. They claimed they never received the papers, thus here we are. Go figure!

I owed the IRS $50,000 and was frankly terrified as to how I was going to pay them off. I reached out to StopIRSDebt to see what they had to offer and how the process worked. The company was very honest regarding what they could and couldnt do. They even told me the process could take a year. Honestly I was skeptical but desparate so I hired them. Even though they kept in regular contact with me to manage my expectations, I remained skeptical. But much to my pleasure I received a call on a Friday afternoon advising me that my case was resolved -- this was 8 months after I hired them. Working with the IRS, StopIRSDebt was able to negotiate me into one of the available programs. My debt has been completely set aside as the IRS agreed I was in no position to pay the debt. By set aside I mean that my debt to the IRS was deemed a hardship to collect and my monthly payments to the IRS stopped. The debt was set aside for 10 years, at which time it would fall off the IRS books. If within that 10 years I was able to pay the IRS I could do so as they monitor my account every two years to see if my situation has changed. While the will likely apply a lien against your home, I dont own a home. They even advised me of options to get any penalties removed. I received an email confirming everything I was told on the call, and was given a contact number in case I had any questions. The IRS will send me documentation confirming the settlement. I cant say enough about how StopIRSDebt helped me and took a huge weight off my shoulders. I am very grateful I chose to trust them .They certainly exceeded my expectations.

This was the absolute worst experience i have ever had. I hired them in 2016 and last week they up and closed my case without any notification to us. I kept calling them because i kept getting notices to which the said was propaganda normal procedures etc. When i finally got a hold of someone after feeling like were were being played the woman was rude, agressive kept telling me to stop talkingwhen i was trying to explain why i has concerns. She then proceeded to say i hadnt signed or paid for a current power of attourney, then she said i didnt pay for the tax return they did in 2016 which was to be drafted yet they did the return in 2017 and its not until they had already closed my case that they say it was never paid? At any other time i spoke to them never once was i told that i had an outstanding balance, never. etc.. she was ranting at me making up excuses for not doing the job we paid and hired them to do. She even threatened to sue me, she said we have billable hours totalling over $32,000. After that call, I contacted the IRS myself. Guess what???? I was right to suspect. The IRS has everything documented as well and they told me that the last time they heard anything from this company was on March of 2017. The IRS has no letters and only 2 recorded calls from these people. Hummm but they have over $32,000 of billable hours on my case. I am dissapointed and upset because i payed over $3,000 to this so called team of lawyers.This company cannot and will not do anything more than what you can do yourself with the IRS. The woman i spoke to said we are done with you and if you want us to continue on your case we need more money never really explained why they closed my case? Why they didnt communicate any potential issues that they saw comming, nothing at all.. I will be filing a BBB claim because this cannot and should not happen to anyone else. We were taken for a ride for sure and absolutely nothing was done to help our situation. Heads up to all when they tell you that you dont talk or call or respond to the IRS yourself, you have to notify them and then they say they will handle it but then they dont. They dont want you to talk to IRS because then you will know that no one is working on your case.People please be aware and dont fall prey lije i did. Before you hire these people call the irs yourself, ask then what your situation is and what they are willing to negotiate, that is free. I payed $3000 for this company to do the same and absolutely NOTHING was done. Thank god for Stop IRS Debt... I owed the IRS almost $30,000 because I pulled money out of a 401k after I left my job. Initially, I hired Optima because they said that they would help me for only $1800, which was way cheaper than any other companies I talked to. Well, less than a month later Optima tells me that my issue is worse than they expected and they would need another $4200. They also told me that I was missing one years tax return, which ended up being a lie >:( Anyway, when Optima tried to raise the price on me I ended up going with Stop IRS Debt (which I should have in the first place).
