We recently ordered all the exterior lights for our new house from Steel Lighting. Weve ordered barn lights previously from two other manufacturers, and the price was higher for much lower quality.This time, thanks to Steel Lighting, the fit and finish on everything we ordered was perfect. Top quality products, excellent pricing and delivery, great selection and the website was easy to use. We havent had to contact customer service, but I would expect it to be great as well.

A very attractive, high quality light fixture. I will certainly remember this company for future purchases. The only issue I had was with ordering the correct configuration. I needed to hang this fixture from an existing electrical box. I ordered the adapter required, but did not change the type of base on the fixture. The standard base is apparently for a flat ceiling application with no electrical box. In retrospect, I should have called before ordering.

We ordered 9 lights, all of them are very well made and shipping was faster than expected. I would suggest NOT upgrading to the dusk to dawn sensor. They are very cheap and none of them work. I reached out 2 times to the company and left messages and have not heard back (its been weeks). I wish I would have not made that upgrade, this is the only reason for the 3 stars instead of 5.

I purchased 7 of their lights for the exterior of my newly constructed art studio. They look fantastic and make the building look great during the day and even better when they are lit up at night. The electrician who installed them was impressed the quality. He said these gooseneck lights are usually not sturdy enough to stay straight in high winds. But these have been on for months now and have stood up through many storms and look as good as the day they were installed.

I purchased two outdoor lights for a new detached garage. Youll see the term quality in nearly every review. Certainly a subjective term that can mean different things to different people. You owe it to yourself to purchase these lights if only to understand why nearly every review mentions the word quality. I was in awe when I first pulled them from their box, handling them like priceless works of art. And truly, they are works of art. I find myself gazing into the back yard at night, not to gaze at my garage, but to see my lighting adorning the garage like fine jewelry. The quality of the company matches the quality of their lighting. One of my dusk to dawn sensors is not working correctly. After a month or two of procrastination, I sent the company an email through their website, detailing my situation and requesting a new dusk to dawn sensor. This was yesterday. Checked my email this morning, half expecting to see nothing. Instead, I see an apologetic email and the new part was shipped that day! Unbelievable! Quality product and quality company. Without question, you are in good hands if you decide to purchase lighting from Steel Lighting Co.

I ordered 3 lights and loved the quality. In moving I thought only two were delivered. Customer service helped me with tracking #. I ordered another light then found the lost light. Got in touch with customer service to see if the recent order could be cancelled. The next day I received an email stating ordered was cancelled and refund would be made. This company was so helpful with my problem but even more the quality of the lights are great. Better than any Box Store. In 2019 we purchased 3 Gardena 16 gooseneck lights in matte black for the garage on a new home we moved into. We loved the product so much, the look, the quality and performance that when we were adding an outdoor patio space this past summer we came back to Steel Lighting Co! For the patio we went with 4 Westchester lights with 11 straight arm mounts, also in matte black. During install we noticed that one of the straight arms was damaged with chipped paint and one of the domes was slightly dented. We contacted Steel Lighting Co and with no questions asked the sent out new parts which arrived across the country (CA to PA) in just a couple days. We couldnt be more happy with the products and the service provided in both ordering and when we had an issue that needed resolution. Would highly recommend for anyone who is looking for stylish, high quality lighting.

We LOVE these lights. We purchased two of The Gardena (with 11 inch straight arm) and three of The Hawthorne (with 6 inch straight arm) in red. They are happy, vintage, and made in America. We looked at a lot of lights and just happened to stumble upon their site and we are so glad we did. While the price might seem a little high, you are paying for absolute quality craftsmanship and so very much worth it. Fast shipping, awesome company.

Just ordered a set of lights for our garage and they look amazing. We went with the larger 18 shade for the gooseneck lamps and a 12 shade for porch light. We had to customize the lamp stem for the smaller light since our ceilings are high. We sent a message to them to request the customization and the customer service folks were really efficient and responded by email and phone within a day of me reaching out. The lights were shipped incredibly fast and we were really happy with the quality. Super easy to install as well. Highly recommend!

Such a high quality light. Customer service was extremely professional. They called to confirm my address on day of shipping and called back later to make sure that I was satisfied. I needed a unique arm, which they had, because it is mounted on a post and the light needed to be at about the same height as top of post. Many many comments about fixture from neighbors and friends. We received our light for our shed and absolutely love it. Thank you Steel Lighting. We decided to use the dusk to dawn light bulbs instead of the dusk to dawn light fixture, only because we have experienced the mechanism failure after a few years in the light fixtures (not steel Lighting fixtures) and it is easier to change the light bulbs then keep changing the fixtures.

I work for Rhodes electric, which is an electrical contracting business. We recently purchased 14 lights for a commercial project. Along with the lights was an offer of free bulbs for posting on Instagram. I am very pleased to say that Steel Lighting provided us with 14 LED bulbs and did so in a very timely manner. Love these lights. Over the past year I have now purchased 8 in various styles. Our largest barn light was knocked loose by high wind (it was properly installed by our electrician) and the customer service was fantastic, Steel Lighting Co replaced the broken part of the fixture after I sent them a video of the light swinging in the wind. These lights were exactly what we were looking for. We’d been looking through antique stores for months. Everything was either overpriced or in poor condition.These lights had that vintage, summer camp look, with the quality that you rarely find anymore. The ceramic insulator base inside is particularly heavy duty.The lights add that rustic look to our project in the backyard that we’ve been working towards. The lights can handle lots of options for bulbs, lumens and color temperatures depending on the effect you’re try to achieve.We got two Gardena lights and a Redondo for the poles and have just ordered another light, The Westchester in the galvanized finish, to be mounted at the top of our “tiny cabin”.Absolutely love them!Well worth the price!

Repainting and decided to upgrade an exterior light above back garage. Replaced a dual bulb motion detector security light with the 20 Redondo. Needed a larger fixture to fit the space. Mounted the new light lower and used the old electrical box for a photo-cell switch for dusk-to-dawn security light. Very impressed with the fit, finish, and quality of the new fixture. currently use a 60w equivalent LED bulb which provides plenty of light for security purposes. We are very happy with the purchase. Not only are these lights well built, heavy-duty, sturdy, and beautiful, the customer service from Steel Lighting Company is fantastic. I had an issue with surface rust on my lights because they are mounted in a harsh, coastal, salt-water bay environment in New Jersey. They immediately responded to my email with a phone call and said they will replace all my lights. I was also able to opt for the special Marine powder coating for an up-charge on the replacement lights which was not an option when i bought the lights. The replacements were made, powder-coated, and shipped out the next day. They absolutely stand by their product and I would recommend them to anyone looking for quality barn-style lights. They are well worth the few extra bucks and they are made in the USA.

Received my Red Topanga (only 3 days to get it to WI) and all I can say is WOW. Extremely well built and great attention to detail. The quality of the socket boarders on industrial. The shipping package was very heavy duty and well guarded. This is an American made product that is far superior to the other lights I looked at. It was more expensive than the other lights I was thinking of purchasing, but being made in America secured the sale. After receiving it today and assembling the light, I would say it was under priced. I will definitely be ordering more from your company. Thank you for keeping your production in the US.

I recently purchased two Topanga style gooseneck lights from Steel Lighting Co. Their website is clear, ordering was easy, and I received half of the order within two days. The second light did not show up, and normally this would not be cause for a laudatory review. However, I emailed Steel Lighting,and regardless of the source of the problem (it could have been Fedex), Steel Lighting responded immediately, and without question mailed me the second light. This is the kind of customer service that will bring me back in the future, and I encourage readers to check them out. Building a new home so lots of questions and lights needed! Three orders in total! Steel Lighting has great customer service. They answered emails immediately and by phone. The lights are amazing! Quality and craftsmanship beyond what you will see at most lighting stores and on line. I ordered one light as a sample and everyone from the electrician to the architects were impressed. I ordered all the exterior lights for the project in the deep dark brown I added a single light in yellow for an interior application. This was a special order. I ordered 2 outdoor redondo over-sized gooseneck lights for our metal shop building in galvanized silver, they arrived quickly and were pictured as advertised. I loved how you could choose between 3 different scales of gooseneck and could add the dusk to dawn sensors. Our electrician installed them both & we were so happy with how they looked, very good quality, sturdy, expensive looking. The only issue was one of the dusk to dawn sensors wasnt working, so I called customer service and they offered to ship an additional sensor to us 2 day fed-ex, which I had expected. When I explained that we would have to pay our electrician another trip call to come back and take the fixture down to swap out the sensor, they gave me credit totaling 15% off my original order. I thought that was more than fair and got off the call more than satisfied and determined to share this experience with other potential customers. I had read reviews about this company before I placed my order & found they had a very high rating. I have now experienced for myself why. You will not be sorry if you choose to buy from them, if theres an issue, theyll make it right!

I went to the Steel Lighting Co. web site and the chat feature popped up with a person asking if they could help. I was disappointed to have waited a week to receive my lights and find out that the correct parts we needed weren’t shipped with the lights.I hired an electrician ($75/hr) and we made multiple trips to the hardware store to secure what we needed for the install. Very costly!Why don’t you just include all necessary components in the price? “Bolt” everything on for a complete solution…. Please take your marketing person on a field trip to watch an install. They need practical understanding of this product and the installation process.

You do not need to hesitate making a purchase from Steel Lighting Co as you are going to be happy!These are some of the things that stood out to me that I want to talk about:Pre-purchase Aaron was great to deal with and he totally answered all of my questions.·Online experience, this was again great with zero issues. Good communication on shipping notifications and when it was delivered.The packaging for this product was well done and showed care. Everything arrived damage free.there were also design and build features that impressed me. The socket for the lamp appears to be extreme high quality and had a very nice porcelain socket and nut assembly. The mounting base was a nice cast piece as well and was thick and strong. The shade was well done and had a nice finish on it, it was of the caliber appropriate for a high end home. The supplied screws are stainless steel and the gasket is a nice rubber one not a cheap foam one like most outdoor fixtures.I had one issue with the gooseneck and Ceclia was great post-purchase in helping with that.

I purchased 14 of the large barn lights for a new home build. I wanted to purchase (made in USA) so this company was good for that.Sadly though the fixtures really are not power coated as after 1 year the paint comes off on your cleaning rag.......This is not cool as they are big and the electricians struggled putting them up so for me to take them down and refresh the paint it is impossible without hiring an electrian to get it down and back up.The ones I picked for inside are fine (5) as they are not subjected to the elements. If they were really ( powered coated) the outside ones would have held up too.I have left messages for the company and no one gets back to me.

I purchased the Manhattan from Amazon. Shipped fast and correctly, however, I needed to order plate to install on slanted ceiling and longer down rod. Customer service was great. Just kind of odd ordering without pictures. Wrong part was sent and just received new part for install on slanted ceiling. It is different from others weve seen since it requires us to have a box in ceiling. We now have to purchase another piece. Will just go to home depot. It would have helped if there were pics when ordering and instructions of install with items. I gave it 3 stars even though the light is gorgeous and customer service was good with response. It is just annoying that this took a bit longer and we still need to go to Home Depot. Will just have to wait till this weekend to see what end result looks like.

We ordered a few gardenas to hang above our garage, and a couple of hawthornes for the side garage door and deck sliding door light. I spoke to customer service before pushing the order through because I needed them in hand fast, was assured Id get them fast, and I did. Later I had a question about the install, and cs responded immediately and helpfully. Great product, and this company understands how crucial good customer service can be.Tip: These will fit the ubiquitous electric boxes you see all across the country, but if youre doing a new build let your builder know before he puts the siding in place and he can probably tweak what he uses for an even better look with these lights.Note: I was not paid or in any way whatsoever reimbursed for this review.

Have spent several thousands of dollars on multiple purchases with this company as I regularly rehab historical buildings. I mistakenly ordered the incorrect mounting plates and called to replace them. Appears that I was connected to the customer service prevention department who seemed bothered to help remedy the issue. They told me I would have to pay over $200.00 for the 7 replacement mounting plates and an additional $170.00 dollars for the shipping that would get them to me the following week. Was informed by Cecilia that I would receive a partial refund of $70.00 dollars for the other mounting plates after I sent them back. They told me they were not making any money on the shipping, Yeah OK, $170.00 for a small 12x12 box? She then said that I could send the entire several thousand dollar order back instead of working out the minor issue. I paid the extra money for the replacement plates and emailed them a FedEx label that cost $29.00 instead of the $170.00 which would get the plates to me the following week on the same timetable. Was then contacted by the owner who stated that I would not be receiving any partial refund for the mounting plates after Cecilia clearly stated that I would? If I knew that in advance I would have just bought them locally? The owner then stated that I felt that I was entitled to more than they could accommodate, really? So I paid a few thousand dollars for the order and paid the extra $200.00 for the replacement plates. I thought $170.00 for a small box was exorbitant and basically proved that because I sent you a shipping label for $29.00 that got the items to me on the same timeline. Talk about penny wise and pound foolish. This is a textbook example of how a company risks losing thousands of dollars of future revenue from a repeat customer over a problem that could have been very easily solved with just a little bit effort. If I felt like I was entitled to anything it was simply better customer service and not a complete attitude when I was trying to rectify the problem. I guess I also feel that I was entitled to some honesty about receiving the partial refund that you are now saying that I wont be receiving. I really love the product but absolutely hate the attitude and games. Oh well, guess its time to find another vendor. Better Business Bureau complaint to follow.

I just want to thank yall for creating such a quality product. We purchased 3 of your Redando Barn lights and we could NOT be happier! These turned out to be everything and more. The largest we could get through our lighting company while we built our house were 14 lights. Given the size of our garage we knew these would seem too small so I did copious amounts of research to find larger sizes. I happened to stumble upon your website and I am glad I did. Your product honestly does not match your price and I mean this In the best possible way! In my opinion these should have cost much more than they did. Other websites were asking minimum $400/light and I cant image their quality is up to yours. Keep up the great work - we truly appreciate you all for creating such an amazing product. So thank you!

Steel Lighting is AMAZING! They had the exact pendant lights I had envisioned to light the barbecue area in our new ramada. The Eagle Rock in the galvanized finish was the perfect addition to accompany the corrugated roof on the ramada. The price directly from the company was identical to popular discount suppliers that you find online but there was no postage charge and the light fixtures arrived in three days! The workmanship is flawless and were the fixtures were easy to install. I could not imagine a better experience and I am known to be very critical and intolerable to incompetence. The fixtures are very well designed and manufactured. The metal is sturdy and the finish is sturdy. Powder coating is the way to go for a finish that will last. They use the best components. They have no competition in this market.*Follow-up*I just got my order of two additional lights and I am happy to report they arrived 100% as requested (with specific instructions concerning the round boxes and the 6 stems)!I don’t know how any other manufacturer of outdoor lights stays in business with you, Steel Lighting Co., as their competition; they must use subterfuge. Left a message with low expectations, given the drop in customer support from just about every other company - Covid - right; anyway. Got a call back in short order and Cecilia guided me through ordering some accessories at a discount and then she sent them overnight so that I could keep the crew moving. We ordered 2 Redondo lights in matte black. I received them within 4 days in KY. I thought the lights were a bit expensive but love doing business with American owned and operated businesses. After receiving the lights, they are well worth the money. We have shopped at local lighting stores and various national brands like Lowe’s, Menard’s, Home Depot, Wayfair...and could not find a light my wife liked. After stumbling upon these lights, we won’t go anywhere else for lights from here out. Highly recommend. Strong, sturdy, and American made! Can’t get any better!

I decided it’s time to make every effort to purchase “American Made Products!” Our home has 6 barnyard style lights and as each China light dies I will now replace with Steel Lighting Co. Received my first light fixture and I immediately realized the amazing quality compared to the cheesy “China crap” I have continued to replace for too many years! Steel Lighting Co. is now on my “favorite list.” I will not have to deal with replacement after the last 5 “ China crap” lights are replaced. Amen

I had been searching for a gooseneck barn light for weeks that wouldn’t break the bank. I finally found Steel Lighting and I’m so pleased. This is a top of the line fixture equivalent to those sold for two times the amount. My husband is an architect and is reaching out to them to use them in the future as a vendor he is so please with the fixture we received. Shipping was also fast!

Steel Lighting Co was wonderful to work with. I wasnt sure exactly what I wanted. I did know that I wanted lights that: 1) were made in the USA, 2) were strong enough to stand up to the Florida Storms, 3) were made from materials that would last for years to come and 4) would complement our next project - our new home. The Steel Lighting crew was helpful and I love the final look - two Gooseneck Redondos with Wireguards - the perfect accent for our polebarn. I cant wait to work with them again soon.

Beautiful quality...if one could be in love with a sconce than I am with these.
