So I placed an order for pick up and my friend went to pick it up for me since I was sick. The order was sent over and done in a matter of minutes and he goes over to pick it up. Well he’s sitting there for longer than normal so I call and speak to Joel to find out what’s going on and he immediately gets working on it. I give him the order number and less than 10 minutes my friend is pulling up in my driveway order in trunk. Lol lol. I had accidentally put the order under his name since he was picking it up but Staters was on it and had him loaded up and back on the return trip home in a matter of seconds. Thank you Stater Bros. you guys and gals are truly the best and a huge shout out to Monica for shopping for me you got everything perfect. Thank you. No mistaking why I shop at Staters!!!

Easy to shop. Helpful people. Easy in and out. Crowded today but still went pretty quick.Of the things I got today at the market were feta cheese and cottage cheese. I like to mix them together 3 parts cottage 1 part feta. Has a nice zing.

Store is clean, shelves are stocked, (and with many brand options), but the wait in line was unnecessary for a Thursday morning. My favorite thing though was simple and that was the amazing produce section. Organized, fresh and the celery stalks were trimmed! Small thing but worth mentioning.

I was looking for a Stouffer‘s party size, macaroni and cheese and I called this Stater Bros. and I spoke to an employee named Rick who actually checked stock and said he had five left and that he would hold one for me and this was the day before Christmas, so the store was very busy. When I went to pick it up, the manager got it for me and opened up a register so I could get out quickly. This is the best experience I’ve ever had at a grocery store and one thing I want to mention is that I saw lots of smiling employees, everyone seem to be in a good mood even though the store was super busy! I highly recommend the store.

I drive a few miles to this grocery off and on...it has been a very good market for years! They have good produce and fresh, often very reasonably priced product. They have their own butchers and their meats are high quality and seem very fresh! There is always a butcher on duty which isnt always the case in major chains. The store is VERY clean whenever I stop in and NOW DAYS, what I appreciate even MORE....most every check lane in open with a REAL checker to do their job, and with a good attitude! Im so tired of receiving less and less customer service and paying the same high prices as places that provide help!!!Kudos to Stater Brothers for the quality customer service as well as a pleasant and quality place to shop in East L.B. near Milliken High School.

Stater Brothers markets has the greatest meat department I have seen. The butchers are extremely knowledgeable and as the sign says very well trained. We went here for standing rib roast and he introduced me to Angus beef standing rib roast which looked almost like Prime. When cooked we were extremely satisfied by the meat and its flavor it was very goodEDIT: My wish is that there was a Stater Bros Market closer to San Pedro. Our population is about to explode with all the new homes and apartments at Harbor View, we will need more available sources for food.

Ive been shopping at Stater Bros. for years. This is a new store for me, and theyre living up to the standards Ive seen at other stores. Always clean and stocked well with a gently and helpful staff. Even during this panic outbreak, the store is clean and ordered. Theyre out of some things, but doing their best. The parking lot is big enough and its shared with other stores in the complex. There are cart return stalls in the lot that are easy to get to. This store makes the 6 mile drive, bypassing the other grocery stores, worth it.

Love stater bros they have a good selection on most things and most things are not expensive, usually. I wish they had self checkout because the lines can get pretty long especially later in the evening when theres only one check stand open. You cant be in a hurry when you shop at stater bros.

I love Stater Bros. and many of the long time staff. Lately the younger cashiers and most of the baggers have gotten to the point of making me consider shopping elsewhere. I honestly would rather bag the groceries myself than deal with some kid laying the milk on the side, flipping baked goods upside down and generally having no clue how to put groceries in a bag. When I mention that milk doesnt go on the side, I get a snotty response Uh its sealed. Sure thing, put them in the case on their side and remind me of that when youre done cleaning up the mess. Since it seems the younger kids dont want to work, can we just get a self checkout, would be cheaper for the store and less aggravation for customers.

I’ve been in LB for 4 years now and this has been my grocery spot ever since. However, I am now looking to get my meat elsewhere. Love the selection and the quality but I feel like an inconvenience ordering meat from the counter. It’s just not welcoming. If these workers have grievances, please hear them out and address their needs if that’s the case.

You can find great deals on fresh meats here often and their deli is always looking nice. The employees wear masks for the most part and are respectful and helpful. I did not get approached and asked if I needed help but employees were easy to find and eager to help when asked. Overall a good shopping experience, plus the floors are incredibly clean in this store.

Its a smaller Stater Brothers store. However the staff is good. If you dont know where something is they will direct you. The produce is always fresh although at the present time it is not that inexpensive. The meat counter is the forte of the store. They have an excellent selection of meat, and if you want something that isnt showing, they will cut it to order for you. And if they dont have it they will order it for you. I recommend the chain highly.

The best place to shop. When they allow vendors they are always useful ones like girls selling Girl Scout cookies. The sushi is really made by hand and taste even better than the sushi takeout across the street from my house. They have the freshes produce and butchered meat and the customer service is always superior.

Hands down the best market in all surrounding areas! Shopped all over LA/OC county and without a doubt this market is the best. The leadership and the continuous hard work in this market is noticeable. The store is well run, fully stocked but without a doubt their customer comes first attention is well spread in the market. The cleanliness of the store is nothing more than amazing and hard work and a sense of ownership by every team member. The deli dept staff is very helpful and with a sense of urgency. The produce dept is stocked with fresh items throughout the day and their hardworking should not be over looked. The laughter and friendly service at the butcher area is a breath of fresh air. Many team members are always working to keep the the shelves fully stocked and easy to shop. And of course the team members at the registers that greet you with a smile and bag your items with great care. Thank you for creating a real family store in our community. Their is a lady that works their that is really rude. Dont remember her name but shes been their for a really long time. A supermarket that is actually staffed with the right amount of people needed to stock and run the store. And unlike Vons, the employees dont look at you with dead eyes.And what is that in the back? The shelves were actually stocked well & I found all I needed and more! From the time I pulled into the parking lot till I left I felt so welcome & taken care of! I really like going to the Stater Brothers when I need to run a lot of errands only because there are three different banks nearby theres a Wells Fargo across the street theres a Chase kitty corner to the Stater Brothers and across the street theres a Bank of America so theres a lot of different things around and inside Stater Brothers there is a Schools First ATM. Stater Brothers has a very busy parking lot so when you do Park just know that the entrance that is open to Stater Brothers is actually on the South Side not the north side the north side is closed for the moment. Theres a lot of different eateries nearby and Dollar Tree a lot of people love Dollar Tree. Anyway the location is great and of course theres a McDonalds on the corner always a must if you have little kids lol. But Stater Brothers has sushi and they also have a variety of cut up fresh fruit I think thats wonderful I love fresh fruit and vegetables so they have a really good selection. Not to mention the meat department the meat department is great. Their meat is always very fresh.

My favorite Market! Fresh produce, store kept really clean and I dont have to have a membership to get the same or lower prices then at many other markets.Update:Went there today to get a birthday cake and I walked out with three full boxes two cakes and another box with four eclairs from the bakery. Their Bakery display may not be that big but they have a very good Baker there everything is delicious! Plus out in the open they have a lot of stuff that they bake and put into boxes so look around. They always have fresh cookies and other goodies.

You know, I’m going to leave an unpopular review. I honestly can not tell you of one time in which I have purchased meat from this location and not have had issues. Several times we got ill. Other times we purchased ground beef or steaks, opened them same day, and have found it to be dried out. Today, I purchased 93% lean meat, brought it home, opened it, and the entire center was dried out and brown, as if someone wrapped fresh meat around old meat. Cooked it up anyway for the dog and we will see. Other food selections seem to be lower quality options, which is odd as their wine selection is pretty darn good! I would not recommend this location for meat, veggies, or dairy. If you need cans of Shasta and cheese curls, this is your place. Anything else, no thanks.

The Stater Brothers at which I shop is a relatively small community grocery store. But here we are, the day before the Super Bowl, and every single checker line was open and the shelves were stocked. They had someone in produce busily cutting fresh fruit for people to take for the game tomorrow and the sushi chef was busy putting platters together.I like this store and one of the reasons I like this store is because years ago when there was a grocery store employees strike, Stater Brothers came to an agreement with the Union early and once they did they added extra checkers to handle the additional shoppers like me who were coming in because they didnt want to cross a picket line.On many items their prices are lower and the service seems to always be outstanding. I highly recommend this Stater Brothers.

Around 4pm today, Oct. 8th, I bought 1lb of sliced cheese at the Cleo and Leo stand. The young man, around 57, that was working the cheese slicer was phenomenal, without me asking, he separated every slice of cheese with paper so they wouldnt stick and very neatly piled them up for me. Never before has someone been so careful with my order. Great service, I hope it will continue!

Employees in the meat department should explain to callers that certain cuts of meat can only be done during certain hours so customers don’t waste time and gas driving to the store for nothing. This is especially true when the customer asks how late you are open.

As a consumer for the store the first thing I noticed was how clean the parking lot and building was. the staff at the deli and bakery are very helpful in suggesting new ideas for meals and lunch meats. the stores layout is also very easy to navigate, and you are always greeted with a smile from every worker, from baggers to the managers who are always ready too help you find what you need.

Your neighborhood grocery store to the max...Since the rebuild the inside is really nice. New floors, fresh fruit section, all is great but where Stater’s excels is their meat department. Such great cuts of meat for cheap! Look for their deals right after Christmas because you may be able to get Prime Rib for a great price. They removed the Schools First so don’t go in looking for a credit union anymore! Only downside...prices have gone up since the rebrand

I have been coming here for years and never an issue, except from one butcher. A heavy set Hispanic lady with glasses this last visit. She was with another employee talking to another customer that was up to the glass (not behind the blue line). I waited for a few minutes listening to their conversation from a safe distance. Thy were not even talking about meat, just talking about current events. She could clearly see other customers were waiting an just ignored myself and others. I wave Hi to her and she became upset, apparently she was being put out to do her job. This became more evident as she walked over to the area I was standing and immediately said, yea I can see you there, rudely. I attempted to ask a question pertaining to the meat on display. She immediately shut me down and said get behind the line in an angry voice.( I was standing on the blue line). I stepped back looked over and the other customer was still up to the glass. I stated the obvious, that we should all be treated equally and she became more upset but did not address the other customer with the same demand she gave me. I again attempted to ask the simple question and she again wanted to argue. I explained to her i only had a simple question and she said she didnt have to do anything she didnt want to. I asked for a manager to help and she had a fit and stormed off like a child. Two other employees came over and asked which one of them I wanted to help me? This made me feel like they were blaming me for her intolerable attitude. I said anyone. Just please treat all the client the same.One of them answered the question and filled my order. I walked by several times after and during my shopping and not till 10 minutes later when the other customer was still there talking to the employees, did they ask him to move back to the line the lat time I walked by. I told my wife about my experience and said she had had issues with the same person I described in the past. Stater Brothers, I like shopping here, dont make one exceptionally bad employee ruin your business!

5 STARS - Specifically for their cake department. I dont even like cake, but the birthday cakes we buy at Stater Brothers (on Spring St. in LB) are the BEST. It has kind of become a family tradition - we have ordered quite a few of them over the last three years, and they have all been GREAT! Not at all dry (without being wet), and just the right proportions of cake, filling, and frosting. Also, the chocolate really tastes like chocolate (instead of just colored sugar or something), and the other fillings we have tried have all been awesome. The people that take your order are really helpful, and they do a GREAT job of decorating them. Finally, although perhaps less important, the prices are VERY FAIR. As far as I am concerned, these are the best cakes around. Like I said at the beginning - I never even really liked cake at all until I tried the cake at Stater Brothers. Thanks!

What a neighborhood gem! Well known for their high quality, reasonably priced meats. Picked up a slab of salmon at 7.99 per pound. Very good selection in fresh vegetables. Nice wine selection too. Buy 4 or more to get 30 percent off the list price. I usually shop at TJs, but now have an excellent alternative, few miles from the house. Very friendly staff too.

Nice store. They have done some remodeling since Ive been here. Its farther from home than my usual stores but Ill be back. Friendly people and a very large store which means more variety for everyones preferred way of eating. Trying to get my husband to drink more water so I get Zero Vitamin Water and Staters has more variety in flavors. Love it! I went there to get 3 items but walked out with a lot more.

This chain used to have the best prices with no need for coupons. Now, you must be tech savvy to keep up with their digital deals and no one in the store can help you with them. I like several things about Stater Bros., located on Spring St., at Palos Verdes.First, the day manager is Alfonso C., a very hard working, very friendly and professional leader. He sets a very good example, in my opinion, so I always try to say hi to him. Good guy!Second, this store has several things about it that make it more attractive than some other places, such as an actual butcher department, which offers really nice cuts.It also has a deli department that offers some excellent fried chicken, among other things. Lastly, there is a well lit parking lot and a security guard on premises, regularly, which makes you feel a little bit safer than a place without these two things.Finally, I like that the store offers clean aisles, two well-maintained bathrooms, and plenty of staff to bag groceries, clean spills, and collect carts.True, Stater Bros. is a little more expensive than other stores. They also do not offer a lot of reduced price items, or have really great sales, compared to other stores, in my humble opinion.That said, there is an overall, positive energy at this location, compared to the vibe at the Ralphs at Marina Pacifica or the Vons at Atherton Plaza.Therefore, I give this store a solid recommendation.

My husband and I really like Stater Bros Markets and have been going for years. It is such a shame there isnt one near downtown Long Beach maybe where Walmart use to be. They have better selection, better produce (which is impossible to find over the past five + years outside of a Farmers Market), nice meat selection and are always stocked well and clean. Because of the distance, we do one large shopping once per month and buy staple items from local stores. If they were in DT Long Beach, they would be our only store.

I usually can find everything I look for and most of the time you have everything I need. Your meat is still better than the other chains. The problem I have is with one of your cashiers, he always seems to have an attitude and I avoid him whenever possible. The other negative thing is that people cant count. Today a women was in front of me, in the quick check out and she had double the 15 items (she had around 30 items). I was the bad guy when I said something,other people had a smile telling me that I was right. The problem is your cashier said and did nothing (maybe its your policy not to mention anything). As always your store was crowded.

I gave Stayed Bros. 4 stars because when I go there later in the evening, I think after 7 or 8 pm, I buy their rolls for half price, which are pretty large (their sign said 4 ounce each) and absolutely delicious. They have two different kind, bolillos and teleras & when I can buy them for a quarter, it is a good deal for me, especially when they feel & taste so very fresh.

I was in the store shopping on Monday at 9:45 pm as I was walking in there was a crazy guy trying to take an entire shopping cart full of food the key holders at the time stopped him and he left the store I continued to the chip aisle as I was on the chip asile an employee started to stare at me and look at my shopping cart I informed the employee that I was not shoplifting and was not going to shoplift and he said to me I just have to make sure I walked over to the employee and repeated Im not shoplifting you do not have to stare at me and he repeated I have to make sure I informed the employee I would not tolerate the harassment and I knew my rights and my laws and that I would inform the manager and he stated he Im just doing my job. I walked off and made a complaint to the key holder at the time Jamie C and she said oh no Im sorry I need to talk to him. As I was checking out at 10:08 pm I went to go speak to the key holder Jamie C again another employee interfered in our conversation and stated the reason he believes the other employee was staring at me was because thier was another lady in the store earlier with a baby in a stroller shopping and they believed she was stealing. I did not have a stroller I had my son in his car seat in the shopping cart and my Son was wide awake alert and uncovered and what does the other lady have to do with me I came in the store and purchased Gatorade and chips and only went down two asiles and was not in the store longer than 20 mins I spoke to a lady at the corporate office named Debbie and she took my complaint and I spoke with the store assistant manager Erik Rojas informed of the situation as the key holder Jamie C did not I spoke with the store manager Charlie King he was not helpful to be honest the only reason employees are conducting in this manner is if they are being informed to the racial harassment is not right and no one should feel uncomfortable while trying to spend money in a store.
