This place is slow. Takes forever to get them to take plate off trailer to give a green light. The employees need to remember that drivers like us have more deliveries to make. I see this place like all places have mixed reviews. Just be prepared either way.

Just as posts state this place is extremely tight. They put trucks in every other door so it is very doable to get backed in. I sat in my truck in line about an hour before I got to the front. Walked in to check in, was told just grab any door and come back and let them know which one I was in. Walked out, and the guy directing traffic said door 16. I backed in went in and told them. Was leaving about an hour later.

Got a parking ticket for $360. Do not deliver to this dump if you get unloaded at 4 a.m. cant find parking and park on the main side street theyll ticket you. But the whole state doesnt supply enough parking. Its a scam and theyll have too pay me $360 x2 extra too bring a load to these scammers ever again. This happened during covid and thats the thanks truckers get in cali for supplying for them during there time of need. Pathetic. If I could choose too ban an entire state cali would be number one!

These reviews are spot on. They give you a door at the gate and then you have to wait in long line to get checked in the office. Once your checked in they take about 2hrs before they start unloading... which also takes hrs for just a few pallets..checked in 6:20am for a 6:30 apptOut the door 11:30

Check-in was fast. Got a door right after. The problem is the unloading team. Make no sense. going 3 hours and still no sign of getting unloaded. Remind you that this is only a few pallets. Even my kids can do this in less than an hour. Reefer is running hard trying to maintain -10 in over 100-degree weather for my last drop. Very disrespectful. First and my last to come here. The operation says everything about the higher-ups running this place. Lazy no backbone

My experience wasnt as bad. It wasnt that busy, so I got checked in at the guard shack immediately and waited less than 10 min inside. I got a door in 15 min, but the unloading took 4 hours. They have a prison toilet

Plenty of space to maneuver, no overnight parking. Arrived 30 minutes before appt behind two other trucks. Checked in and was given a door. Unloaded in under two hours. Pretty standard, no worries. Lumper is electronic payment.PS, you guys could accommodate some truck parking...maybe within 12 hours of appt👍

My experience was alright. Only let you in a half hour before your appointment. Had me in a door immediately. Unloaded in 30 minutes. 1.5 hours to get paperwork though. Total of 2.5 hours gate to gate. Not sure if it was because I was delivering day before Christmas Eve. Might of had something to do with it. Refrigerated chicken load.Edit 1/27/24:Second delivery here. Frozen chicken. In and out in just under 3 hours. Pretty standard. Not as bad as the reviews are making it out to be.

We have experienced significant challenges when making deliveries to this facility. Despite arriving on time for our scheduled appointments, we often face delays in unloading that disrupt our subsequent delivery schedule. For example, our truck arrived 6:00 AM for 6:30 AM Appt. but wasn’t unloaded until 9:43 AM, causing late arrivals at other delivery locations.The facility imposes strict penalties on carriers for being late, yet does not hold itself accountable for delays on their end. Additionally, they do not provide email updates or allow responses to appointment confirmation emails, making it difficult to receive timely information and adjust plans accordingly.Their policy includes substantial fines for late arrivals and other issues, which feels punitive without addressing the delays caused by their operations. Improved reciprocal communication and accountability are necessary to ensure fair treatment of carriers and efficient delivery processes.The current one-sided approach is frustrating and needs to be addressed for better coordination and mutual success.

If u r going here to unload, dont go in before 0600, and pack a lunch cause unloading just 9 pallets they charged me for restack of 4 pallets when I had pics of all pallets standing not shifted in any way, and it still took then 5.5 hours to get me my papers. As for the guard shack, friendly as a wet cat.very bed service gaurd is very rurdlie behavior that inside long line wating time 3 hr 👎👎👎👎

Only been here a few times but every time they have taken 4+ hours to unload a dry van. Always early for appointment times. Staff inside are nice though. Lumper fee seems a bit much for a place that doesnt care how much time they take of us drivers.

3 hours from entrance to exit. Dryvan. Only problem was they had me check in at the wrong office (door 237) and had me go to door 359. Had I been meant to stay at 237 my review might be different, it was a cluster. 8 drivers waiting to check in. You can straight back in docks. Very good place Ill come back.

Check in and getting door was instantbwhich had me feeling really good about this delivery. Got here at 7:30 for 8am apt. with only 6 pallets to be unloaded. I kid you not they didnt finish unloading me until 11:30 tho I felt them come in to my trailer almost instantly. Im guessing 1 pallet per hr is the standard here. They also waited an additional 1hr to give me green light to receive my paperwork. No respect for drivers time smh. Nearly cost me my next load.

This place is pretty big plenty of room.Getting through security is fairly quick and easy. Checking in at receiving is slow and miserable. For a place that looks like this I would not expect slow Check in. Suggestion for the company use resources observe the check in process. Come up with an idea that would make it more quick and efficient. Lumper service seems to be quick and efficient.

They let you checkin 30 mins early and you park in front of office and checkin in office long lines for drivers tu checkin specially in mourning for 6:30 appoint checked in at 7:30 cos of long line in front and then line to lumpers backed in at 8:00 got text from lumper to pay around 12 and then again wait to get your lumper receipt and 30 mins waiting to get bols. Arrived at 545am for 630am appointment. Check in at gate then drive around building and park. Stand in a long line for 30 minutes plus to get in to the receiving office. After giving them your paperwork, go to the next door for the lumper. Restroom in there. Back in to your door. Started unloading immediately when in door at 7am. When have green light go back to lumper and paperwork. Out in 3 hrs.

I arrived here at 3:00am, 30 minutes before my appt time, and I got unloaded at 4:45am. Be prepared to pay lumper, they give you 30 minutes to pay it. If not, they will not unloaded you. They refuse one pallet because it was a pallet extra they didn’t order. So it was my problemHonestly this place was ok to deliver for the firs time.

Since they post “a $20 fast offload “ sign, I assume that if we don’t pay, they would keep you waiting as long as they can. My appointment at 9 pm and it’s only 6 pallets, it’s been 2 hours still no one seems to get me offloaded. Well first I must say that the guard at the main entrance was very nice, since I never been to this place the guard took the time to explain to me how the process works regarding Dry van delivery. I delivered some water so there was no need for a lumper. I was out of there in about an hour and a half or two hours. This is the best experience I had regarding delivering for major chain grocery stores. At this place there is a lot of room to maneuver your trailer so no tight squeezes where I delivered at. They also have a drivers lounge that has a restroom and vending machines you could buy snacks or drinks. The office people in the receiving department were friendly too. I know some people might disagree but thats just my experience I had. This stater Brothers is located right off the I-10 freeway easy to get to.

Read the reviews on this place and prepare to be frustrated. Ensure that the day you unload here that you have nothing else to do the entire day. Dont come before 0600, wait on the road because youll be turned around even for being 5 minutes before. Youll get a door at the gate then youll stand in a really long line that moves very very slow. If you can REJECT, I recommend doing so it isnt worth it to come here. Youll be especially pissed when you get to the front of the 2 hour line just to find out the office was just chatting.

You would think a state of the art facility would have their act together but let me tell you just be ready to wait. Not just wait in your sleeper but outside so you can comeback at whatever time they feel like it regardless of appointment, wait in line at the gate, wait in line at the receiving office, wait in line with the lumpers, then even though your unloaded and you paid them you got to wait until they give you a green light. So far its been 6 hours since I started and who knows how much longer. I loved Stater Bros but I am definitively having a change of heart of this experience.

All of the reviews are accurate. Gate opens 6am, stand in line at the check in for 1-2 hours. Check in at office, then check in at lumper. Park at the door, wait forever to get unloaded, then go back to the lumper office, then back to main office. It’s a ridiculous system in my opinion. Hopefully your experience will be better.

Friendly stuff, take 30 minutes to appoyment not earlier! You will be offered a truck stop, but you can stand on the street opposite. The guard gives you a door and parks at the dock, then first go to the lumpers in the left door, they will put a stamp there, then you go to the office (right door). At the office you are given stickers and you return to the lumpers. And all of you return to the truck and wait for the message with the amount. To accelerate, you can wait for the green lamp and go ask the amount yourself, this will speed up the process a little. For being late a big fine!!!

Appt is always at 6:30am but you won’t get to check in till about 8am-930am due to line and slow staff they literally have 4 windows yet takes hours to get things process we all know they are aware but just act like they are clueless. Once your able to get a door take hours for them to off load even with a small amount off pallets lumpers will throw they’re trash back into your truck and then get upset when you mention it to them as if they’re paying you for your service lumper fees are atleast $200 every time that is just un called for and on paper work they wrote down trash was already in there. Appointment time was at 6:30, arrived at 5:30 to be turned away and told to come back at 6:00. When we arrived back at 6:00 there were 40 people in line... After standing in a line for an hour, we finally got checked in by 7:30 and here it is 10:30 and were still sitting here and they have not touched our trailer in over 2 hours... Very poorly managed. We have another load to catch and we might be trapped here and miss it. Obviously they dont appreciate or care about a drivers time.. Now the place is easy enough to get to, and even loads of room to get into your door. However Ive been stuck in the door for over 5 1/2 hours now, causing me to miss my next 2 appointments for the day. Both having to be rescheduled for following days. Really not a bad place to deliver. Seems like everyone’s appointment must be 6 o’clock because that’s when the gate opens so don’t try to go early. But everyone goes through the gate check in for 6 o’clock appointments then you go park and then you get in line to check in to unload. You check in for the main warehouse first then check in with the lumper service. When checking out go to lumper services first then the warehouse last. Only thing that’s bad is if it is raining wear a raincoat because you still have to stand in line to check in. Also guys do not wear sandals they will make you wear shoes which I think is funny as heck lol! Wanted to add an edit to this review. If you have AT&T phone service the reception at this facility is extremely poor. You have to pay lumper fee by phone now. To get that done I actually had to walk through the parking lot to the far north edge of the facility to get a good enough signal to make the transaction and was seriously wondering if that was going to work. Hope you have better phone service than me there lol.

Was here 20 minutes early, during check in I was told to change doors 3 times... no I’m not kidding. People are rude and unprofessional. Worst part is the lumper service, currently at the 45 minute mark and my trailer hasn’t been touched.Update: well it’s 3:30 AM and my trailer is finally getting offloaded... keep in mind my appointment was at 11 PM. Stater Bros Staff: you all were very polite and professional while interacting with me and other drivers. This is what I could observe while in your facility. Now, all that personal professionalism needs to translate into a more efficient loading and unloading of our trailers. You charge a substantial fee to unload our trailers, this should be motivating enough to speed the process up, while being safe. Moreover, with all due respect for what you do, because I really dont know the exact circumstances as to why you would have me change docks 4 times, I do believe that there is room from improvement in your operations. From the guard shack, who gave me the first wrong dock, to three more workers, I could see that efficiency was not present. This isnt about pay for our waiting time, this is about your facility improving everybodys time here. Time is very valuable, is a shame to have it go to waste when it can be avoided. We do our part as drivers by arriving on the scheduled time, please do yours by making the loading/unloading process more efficient. I hope this is read by someone who can take action and help make the necessary changes to your warehouse loading/unloading operations.

Great communication and help from the guard. Broker said my appt was for midnight the day I got there. Upon check in the guard told me the appt was actually for the following midnight 32 hours later. He was able to get my appt moved to 9pm that evening and I was unloaded by 10:30pm.Upon given a dock, walk to the shipping office and stand in line to check in, then stand in line to check in with the lumper. Lumper will give you your rate and you pay. After you get a green light you’ll go back in and get your paperwork from around the corner from the lumper at a different window. All in all not even close to what I was expecting, in a good way.

This is my 2nd time hereThey will start allowing people inside right about 6:00am, there’s no overnight parking at Stater Bros DC .But you can park across the street from the DC .. you see the trucks all park there ..You are allow inside and park, then go get in line and wait until they start allowing us to check in. They will assign a door, and send you to lumper, then you go to the door and wait until green light, then go get bols, where you check in …Oh please do not use the restroom in the lumper area, Stinks so bad I almost vomit 🤮

I was worried about all the bad reviews. Prepared for confrontational staff and the like, I arrived 45 min early for 0200 appt.Relieved to find no line at the gate. Checked in, assigned a dock, was told lumper amount. I had trouble getting a Check from my company. They actually picked me up at about 215 am, took me to an on-site 🏧 for cash. Driver was helpful and cool AF. I was on property for maybe 2 or 3 hrs tops. No overnight parking but on E. Mills you can for a short while AT NIGHT park there by self storage place.Just be cool, be professional and courteous. The results just might surprise you as well.

Cannot arrive more than 30 minutes early for appointment. The guard was upset that I arrived early.They have signs that say if you are late you will be charged. I think the fees were $100 if 30m late, $200 if 1h late, and $500 if over 2h late.You have to check in at the guard shack, then at the shipper/receiver, and then with the lumper service. The lumper cost me $200. They took around 1h to unload me.

It is a yogurt load so the counting will be slow but theses guys seem to move quicker than other DCs. *Update: They counted the load in 1 hr 30 min. Compare that to 6+ hrs at every other DC. Worst receiver I’ve ever seen in 10+ years of driving. I had an 2300 appointment. Was in the door at 2245. After 3 hours at 0200. I asked what was going on. A lot of people have reviewed this place without saying anything really useful... So here goes... If you are reading this and you are a truck driver, pay attention! This place will turn you around if you are more than 30 minutes early, and they are strict about it! The entrance is at the intersection of Mill and Tippecanoe. Coming from the south (I-10), you cut the corner just before the light on Mill. Everyone has an 0800 appointment, so be there right at 0730. I am a reefer driver so this will be from my experience. A bazillion drivers will be trying to check in at receiving at the same time (door 142), so get in your assigned door or parked across from door 142 if you have a meat load, and get your ass in line ASAP. You might have an 0800 appointment, but its really FCFS. Once I got in the door, unloading was very quick. It took longer to check in at receiving than it took to get unloaded. If, by chance, you arrived more than 30 minutes early, you can park on Mill like I and many other drivers did. Just go around the block and park facing the entrance. As far as the comments on how open this place is... If you have trouble maneuvering and backing your truck at this place... Turn in your keys and find a new profession for yours and everyone elses sake.

This is a racist place! They treat people terribly with no customer education. Security is terrible without no respect! This company needs to do something about this. The people who work there need good customer service education and learn how to be respectful and treat others with respect. We deserve it!

Drivers get there on time then you wait in a long line outside to check in no matter what the weather is. Its a really bad setup. Youre there to bring them what they need and ordered and your the one treated like its a bother

Check in progress not so great checking at guard shack then go park and stand in line with 60 other drivers then get out of that line go to another line for the lumper service about a five-hour unload and then go stand in line again to sign out
