A lively food hall in the neighborhood. I love the combination of different food stalls with different cuisines in a single place. Then, we don’t have to quarrel about what to eat because each of us has preferences of likes and dislikes. Having everything at one place like this is great. We all can dine in together with our preferred cuisines.

It was my first time visiting this place with my friends and family for dinner. They have a few options to choose from to eat, both veg and non veg options - Salads, pizzas, pastas, ramen bowl, ice cream and bakery options. Many of them even came here with their families and toddlers. The ambience was great, there was lively music playing indoors and a small group of people performing a live singing outside as well. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit!

Cannot recommend State Street enough. Every variation of food you could want, raw seafood, Chinese, salads, pizza, cheese platters, and more. We had Dan Dan veg noodles (excellent), mussels (yummy), Mac and three cheese (to die for), pork bun (well made), and tofu avacado salad (fresh). It is convenient to order from any of the six restaurants from your table on your phone. Service is fast.

We had avocado chat, paneer makhani with Malabar paratha and Rasmalai from the little blue door.Avocado chat was really good, it had the perfect spice, tangy and salty flavours.I loved Rasmalai as it was mildly sweet and extremely soft but my husband felt it was less sweet (he is a sweet tooth).Paneer makhani was just ok. Nothing great. Malabar paratha was nice and flaky.Having said this, I feel, it doesn’t meet the high Ettan standard of delicious food.

We went to State Market on 6/10/24 and ordered two hamburgers at SQ* Konjoe for $43.38. The atmosphere and location were good but the hamburgers had cold buns, very simple, low ingredient, it was a total rip off. We will never go there again.

Tin Pot moved here. ^_^ It is one additional star right there.Good atmosphere, attentive staffs. Not really a restaurant and not really a food court either. I think it’s a hybrid.This place looks like a food court. But you can also sit at a table and order by open a QR code on the table. The code is specific so you have to let them know if you move.If you want you can go order from the counter - it is mostly for to go.Food are not bad. The noodle place is delicious. I ordered a tan-tan noodle and a Bao. They are delicious. The burger is reasonable. The pepperoni pizza is a bit overpriced (a piece of 6”x6” is $9), so maybe they discourage ordering that 😅. There is also a raw bar but I haven’t tried that yet.It is a nice place to go hangout with friend. Each can just order food by themselves. Hope they get more food stalls.Around $20/person. Would be a lot more if you drinks.

A new addition to Los Altos downtown that we checked out this past week. It is always nice to have more of these type of clean and casual food courts around, so you can go with groups of friends and there is usually something for everyone. Seating is spacious, although this could change. For now, there is ample space between tables so you dont hear each others conversations.This review is for Bao Bei, and not sure if our ceviche and drinks were from Murdochs or Ostro.If you are looking for authentic Asian flavors, or value, (ten dollars for one bao!) look elsewhere.Service was great, and while the fusion food was a hit or miss (for us), its well executed, and we appreciate having a place like this nearby, and would definitely go back when we want a quick bite in a clean environment in the hood.We ordered salmon ceviche, spicy pork belly bao, fried shrimp bao, and Dan Dan mian.Salmon ceviche was actually a poke, which we should have guessed from the ingredients list. Had an odd metallic aftertaste for us.We appreciated the spicy pork belly bao had some meat and not mostly pure fat like a lot of pork belly out there. Fat had some crisp rendered areas. No warmed over flavor here either. Zero Gochujang flavor though. (Being Korean, maybe I expected too much) Fried shrimp bao was a fried pureed fish mix, and tasted like there was more filler than shrimp. (In all fairness, Eddie Huang ruined us for baos, the bar is high. So sad baohaus is no more. Seriously we dream of those baos we would get after shopping in union square)Dan Dan mian was overwhelmingly peanut buttery. But still, if you dont want to sacrifice ambiance, (lets face it, we dont enjoy eating at Asian hole in the walls, and only do it if the food is so good you cant make it yourself or get it elsewhere) and want some Asiany style food that is more American, there are worse places.I enjoyed my Monte Carlo, but not the brown spotted citrus peel and floaty waxy bits. One of the reasons I tend to mix drinks at home.Updates: visited at least twice more, most recent April 23 after 3 pm. Come on Bao Bei, do better!BAO bei visually more appealing, but quality of filling decrease, and size of BAO buns increase. For anyone familiar with Taiwanese BAO, you may not be happy. BAO buns themselves are very thick, noticeably sweet. You could fill up on one plain BAO bun, they are that big.Spicy pork belly BAO now has a generous drizzle of gochujang sauce, but roughly 2/3 of filling is pure fat. One of our two spicy pork baos was 1/4 meat, and thats being generous. I did speak with the manager Andrew about that one, and requested a replacement. The replacement that you see in the pic was better, but better in that only half was fat. The fat is not being rendered properly period. And the thickness of the pork is a third, if that, of the bun.The fried chicken BAO is about 3 times the size as the pork belly (bun remaining same in size) but of poorly trimmed chicken thigh meat. Its a typical Asian style chicken cutlet, but they should really trim the gristle and fat, and pound it to an even thickness.The mushroom BAO, tasted mostly like Sriracha, as opposed to unami. It had one big stem on the bottom, and thinly sliced heads on top (maitake/shimeji), and as a mushroom lover, felt it could have been meatier.On another note, nice that they offer soji, that isnt the ubiquitous green glass bottle.Was leaning towards a mixed drink today, so gave the Monte Carlo another try. Service at the bar was attentive, and the coupe glasses were perfectly chilled. Orange peels could have been better, and do always check your glasses for chips, I almost cut my lip on my second Monte Carlo (yes, it was that good). Bartenders would do well to always check glasses prior to pouring the drink, since this is not the first time.

First time visiting State Street Market. It was Sunday afternoon about 1:30. Parking is not so great and you have to hope someone is pulling out as you approach. Inside State Street Market, it was pretty busy. I grabbed the first table I saw that was also being used by a family of 4 so we had to share. I let my 3 family members go order their food while I held the table for us. There are a few places to choose from here depending on what you want to eat. Theres an Italian place with pizza and pasta, a burger joint, a place to buy salads, Indian cuisine, Chinese or Japanese cuisine, desserts and pastries, an ice cream parlor, and a bar. I think I got all of them. It gets crowded around each food stand and hard to navigate around all the people.

A very nice compact food hall with everything you like. We tried Bao Beni’s noodle and soft shell crab Bao. Both were very yummy, yet the portion of noodles was too small. We tried the mango lassi at the Blue Door. The little Bakery Pastry has very big cookies that I didn’t try yet they looked very yummy. Finally we tried the Tin Pot Creamery which offered very nice ice-creams.

Very nice dining area with lots of choices for the food. You can have pizza, salad, or Chinese Tantan noddles. You can also have oysters or even drink beer, wine, etc.The ice cream is on the corner behind the waters.The pizza is pretty good.Draft beer is above $8 plus tips.

Iper expensive, confusing and not worth it.This establishment is set up like a market with 5 or 6 restaurants partecipating, and a main bar for drinks.Going through 5 menus is both interesting and a taunting experience.We order the BAO a tiny steamed bun with a little piece of pork which is $9.50 for 1!A salad that had 3 slices of avocados and the plastic bowl weighted more than the salad at $15A butter chicken, 4 little pieces of chicken and an ocean of sauce at $18.A simple cheese pizza is $5.75 by the slice which makes a whole pizza between $34.50(6 slices) and $46 (8 slices).Practically an Uber expensive picnic.To sum my personal experience it is a messy rip of not worth even reconsidering until they re-dimension them self, come down to earth and adopt human prices.Until then Ill stay far away from it.What a joke 👎

This outlet is located in downtown Los Altos inside the food court known as State Street Market. The food court is clean, spacious and comfortable to sit and dine - both indoors & in open air. Theres also a semi open dining area. The Little Blue Door has very limited menu focusing on California -India comfort food. We had samosa pie, avocado papdi chat & Kerala fried chicken for starters- all good! For entré we had butter chicken with malabar parathas and Lucknow chicken pulao -both delicious. Dessert, Rasamali was not so good mishmash of cake & rabdi . Lunch for three cost a little over $100.

Had a lunch date with hubby here today at the newly opened Little Blue Door .The appetizer was yummy, the curries were delicious and very gourmet . The paratas were mediocre ($18 in the area gets us buffet lunch at nearby Indian restaurants)we bought them twice, and the second serving was greasy, would have loved garlic naan or roti instead . We love the dining options at State Street and the ambience . They should however keep up with sanitizing the tables by the outdoor area as the crumbs are left on the table as is and we cleaned them ourselves.Food hall concept in the pandemic is brilliant, we will definitely go back to trying different cuisines.

I enjoyed the food halls in Amsterdam and enjoy going to food halls for a quick bite. Its always good to have options and be able to order many different items to sample different foods. Personally, State Street Market is the best food hall in the Bay Area. It is very clean here and there are balanced options from salads to ramen, to pastries and desserts, to burgers, pizza and Indian food. To top it off, they serve alcoholic drinks and play sports. Its a great place to unwind for sure.The best part is how there is plenty of parking and that they have different events around downtown Los Altos. All the vendors have high quality food and service. The price point is a bit higher than other places, but everyone here is a small business, so its good to support them all.State Street Market had a change in management in 2023, so they have a full house as of this review. It was a welcome change-- now its a lively and buzzing place.

First timers here– seating and dining arrangements were confusing. we stood in the middle of the restaurant (more like cafeteria) for about five minutes before walking up to what seemed to be a self serve table/bar setup. our “baked three cheese blend macaroni and cheese with herbed panko” was not baked nor cheesy. it was flavorless, cold, and runny. i’d rather buy kraft box mac which is a quarter of the price.would stay far far away. our fries were mediocre but good.

Enjoyed my first trip to State Street Market, a big wide open space with tables inside & out and a variety of food options. Started with delicious cocktails from friendly bartender at Murdochs. Seated ourselves, and walked to the various counters to explore food options though we could have ordered through servers or by QR code from table. Food came quickly. Loved my crab sandwich from Ostro, and Vegan friend enjoyed her Grains & Greens salad mix. Would be a great place for a work outing with its great variety and wide open spaces. Will def. be back to try Bao Bei, Banks & Braes perfect for families, but with more restaurants still moving in, Im most looking forward to the arrival of Little Blue Door!

I sooooo want to give this place a chance. It’s new, but I think my 2 stars are fair. Expensive food court. Positive- service from the attendants were really good and food was good. But details count. As they should. My first complaint- Serving decent restaurant plates with glass wine glasses but then providing plastic forks and plastic water glasses??? Los Altos is better than plastic. Green Los Altos? Second complaint which is now everywhere I go- unnecessary but forceful tipping with their iPad cashier checkout, where you feel a 25% tip is not needed because you did all the work and yet feel guilty, and worse, you are unsure of the service you will receive based on your pre-tipping. Yikes- My power salad (no cooking necessary) came 30 minutes after my husband’s roasted chicken. Third complaint- the app. Tin Pot has two things to order, yet you can only go to the store to see all menu items and pick up there. Confusing! We are Silicon Valley- pioneers of the internet and apps and more than I will ever know. And we seem to be behind the times! Recommendation- stop the nonsense tipping, get the app together, or get rid of it completely and make it easier for the consumer. Going out should be relaxing, fun and worth it.

The food here is amazing. The Madelines were amazing, the Indian food is really good as well and the pizza place was delicious.The people at this market have done a Great job curating such a talented group of vendors. Hats off.I highly recommend trying out the Paneer Makhani from Little Blue Door. It took me back to my time in India. That smoky curry flavor is very difficult to find in any Indian restaurant here in US.

Spicy pork belly bao was fine and not too fatty, but a bit expensive ( 11$ for one bao ).For desert we ordered ice cream and it was the absolute worst, vanilla flavored ice cream was not fresh and very flaky so ended up tossing it.Would be great if they serve coffee, there is actually not a lot of options to order from in this food market.

The food is so so. The ceviche was too salty and the Brussels sprouts were blackened to the point of barely being edible. Ordering can also be confusing. First there was a mobile website, now there are self service kiosks but then you need to pick up at different times from different places. The space is really nice though.

Checked out the newly opened State Street Market in Los Altos yesterday afternoon.Only outdoor dining. Order via QR code and food is brought out quicklyPro: the food that we got were all pretty good. Oysters were fresh and sweet, as were the mussels. Brussels sprouts tasted like fried candy, and Bens flat bread had a nice, chewy crust (I didnt try since it had cheese on it). Online ordering (and payment) was easy, but I am aware that not everyone has a smart phone, or some folks might not be comfortable ordering via phoneCon: limited seating, and limited food options. Only 3 restaurants were open when we were there, and one only sold oysters... There are signs up for restaurants to come, so maybe wait a few weeks (?)Overall: will probably try again once more restaurants open up and more seating becomes available.

State Street Market is great. You have different restaurants to choose from but all in the same place and handled by the same waiters. Plenty of options for everyone (incl. vegan, vegetarian, …). There is indoor and outdoor seating. Make sure to arrive early and set your name on the waitlist. They have like a patio which is super nice. They cycled their vendors are currently on preview mode. It’s disappointing that they don’t mention that there are only two vendors serving full meals on their socials, and that the bar is closed. Orenchi and Konjoe Burgers are the only two lunch vendors, and Little Sky bakery and the ice cream spot are there for small bites. Because there are only two vendors, the lines and cook times for the two vendors are 20-30 minutes.

Beautiful location and decor, nice concept, but a little disorganized. There is a counter-serve option, maybe an order by QR code option, and a full-service restaurant option, but it isnt clear where you are supposed to be if you want to do one option or another, and some of the internal restaurants apparently do not participate in each dining option. There is some signage, but some of it is apparently out of date, so it puts all of the other signs in question. For a non-standard format like this, a full-time host or hostess stationed at the main entrance is needed, but I recognize its a challenge for any business to dedicate one of their valuable staff members to that position. The website is also not particularly intuitive, with partial menus from some but not all of the restaurants. The food is okay, but its hard to recommend when better and cheaper options are in walking distance. I would give 3.5 stars overall.

The food was good; however, the ordering and paying process was frustrating. You have to order with your phone and we werent even sure if our order was places as there was no acknowledgement after we placed the order. We wanted to order drinks off of their menu, which the waitress said we could, but we had to place our order on our phone, and then flag someone down to add the drinks. When our bill arrived, we had to scan and pay via our phone, but it didnt work with our 4 phones (mine was a Google pixel 5), so we had to find a waitress in order to pay. They need to get the kinks worked out for an enjoyable experience. Although I understand the concept which might work for some people, and the food was good....personally, I still enjoy having a server.

Be vigilant if you have an allergy! We requested no nuts and sesame when we ordered on the app from our table. Bao Bei was very diligent... someone came out to customize our order. But Little Blue Door was careless and oblivious; their butter chicken had cashew in it, which was not disclosed on the menu and was brought to us without any warning. Someone in the party had to rush home to get her epinephrine injection. We confirmed there was cashew in the butter chicken when we confronted the chef (the cashier was oblivious). It spoiled an otherwise nice birthday dinner.If you have an allergy, best to order in person and talk to the chef.

Table service was great. We ordered some thing from each place and the service was super quick. The Dan Dan mein from Bao Bei was my favorite but note the peanuts in the dish. We looking forward to coming back with some more friends to enjoy some cocktails and ice cream from Tin Pot.

Great concept, VERY poorly executed in some ways. QR code online ordering had error so used touchscreen to order and then they didn’t deliver to table! Sat waiting hungry forever til gave up and got up (waking up dog on my lap) and came inside to check. Btw I even made my name “Table3” on the order and verbally told the food maker I was at table 3. Why can’t they deliver food ordered at kiosks? Ridiculous. And I pre-tipped too. Insulting. Btw phone text never came saying ready.Infamously model of uncomfortable people hostile metal chairs inside. Come on guys— super uncool. Are you trying to drive folks away?Outdoor chairs are dog unfriendly. (Slots so paws slip thru). Outdoor tables have no utensils or anything. 2nd tier experience.Online ordering weirdly commingled different restaurant items.Great if too spicy food. This wasnt it. Pizza was expensive and tasted like a school lunch ($8 / slice). The ceviches at the raw bar were just ... gross. The chips that came with them were stale, and they tasted cheap. $12 for 3oz.This is clearly a tourist trap. Never again.I hope they replace it with something that has more of a rotating cast of vendors.

Great place to stand in line for mediocre food at premium prices. Not enough seating. Tripping over dogs while trying to find a place to eat is not a dining experience. The food is unremarkable if you can get to it.

The brand new State Street Market is open for business! My wife and I visited today. Heres what to expect.Outside dining and takeout only so far. Inside dining will open later. (COVID-19)They are trying to be tech friendly so you can find the menu by scanning a QR code prominently displayed.When seated, you are provided with a QR code for the table. Each person can scan the code and add their items to the order for your table! I like this feature!I ordered the Pepperoni Flatbread. My wife ordered the B&B Burger with Herbed Fries. They were both good! The only problem is I had finished the flatbread before her burger arrived. This is the only reason why I didnt rate them a 5. If they can get this resolved it would be great!After we finished we were brought another QR code with the bill. Unfortunately that QR code wouldnt scan with either one of my phones QR readers or my wifes phone. Im sure they will work out this glitch quickly. I did say this was day 2 of the business...Maybe if they send the bill to your email with a link to use to pay would be simpler. But it would require entering your email address.The staff quickly resolved the issue by providing a printed receipt and I paid via credit card.All the staff was friendly, professional, and helpful!Looking forward to seeing more added to the menu!Note: The cell service in downtown Los Altos is poor at best. State Street Market provides free Wifi which resolved my connection issues. Well done folks!

Came here to get ice cream with my kids from tin pot. It was raining out so we grabbed an empty table out front of tin pot. It was 3pm and most tables were empty. A server rushed over and made us leave since the tables are for the “full service restaurant” only. Really? They couldn’t let my kids sit for 10minutes to eat ice cream and had to make us leave in the rain? There was hardly anyone else there! Zero common sense.

Tried to send it back without touching it but they refused so instead of arguing I said to myself I would leave a low rating review. This isnt a huge town you should listen to customers as I wont be back, and apparently Im not the only one who thinks unfavorably of this place given its low average rating.
