I love the fact that Starbucks is located right in the heart of Carlsbad, within walking distance of the ocean. Very friendly baristas who prepared our chai tea latte and mocha in minutes.The only downside to this place is limited parking. Difficult to find parking spots on plaza.

Do NOT mobile order if youre coming here by car. The parking lot specifically says that there is no parking for Starbucks customers and there is no drive-thru. Parking is a nightmare on weekends or when there is any sort of street closures, like today.Its not too far from the beach which means lots of people in their swimsuits hanging out on the ample patio with their drinks, which I have zero issue with. What I did have issue with is that people track sand in on the tile floor and I felt like I was about to slip at any minute. It was slick.If youre not a pedestrian, do not make your life harder by mobile ordering a drink here unless you want to block traffic or drive around forever to find a spot so that you can run in and get your drink.Visited .

Have been a avid Starbucks consumer for a long time. Everytime I went I was greeted with a smile, doctor said I needed to lay off the caffeine and sweets for a while so I have not been in a few months. I return recently to see they have lost their most dedicated and best employee Sierra. Do not know why, but this place very much misses her presence, it now takes double the time to get anything done, and everything is incredibly slower overall, I feel like I am having a brain aneurism everytime I enter this establishment. A dark cloud has befallen this Starbucks and I hope they can clean it up soon because They have lost a great customer.

Stopped in for a coffee and a spot to work on some stuff on laptop and to write a letter. Its right on the main drag of Carlsbad with surprisingly adequate parking nearby. The inside is a bit compact, but some might call it cozy. The lining up area blocks the bathroom access and runs right next to seating, so it was a bit awkward to be standing there. I only got a simple coffee, so I cant speak for the quality of their fancier options. They have ApplePay making it feel the 21st century. The seating inside was limited and a group of younger guys were just on their phones with no beverages in sight. Kind of disappointing that they didnt clear out at that point. Outside seating was pleasant enough, but definitely a bit noisy due to passing traffic.

Ive gone to many Starbucks and Ive always had a great experience, but this Starbucks is exceptional. Everybody there is beaning with joy and they are always happy. I have seen the Starbucks packed almost every time we go in and they never seem like they are stressed or mad or anything like that. They always make great drinks, but it really is about how they treat you here and I hope that everybody knows how amazing the workers are here!

Ordered a regular coffee she never offered sugar or cream. They didnt have any available off the counter. Had to wait in line again. Ordered a mixed drink and it was not hot. They were busy but i spent less than 5 minutes at the counter getting my cream and sugar. Wasnt a good experience.

I go to the Starbucks in Carlsbad Village, and the experience is always amazing! The workers there always treat me kindly, and greet everyone with a smile! The orders are never wrong, and they always make me feel like I am welcome at that establishment. This place is 10/10, you will never regret coming here!

Its not about the coffee, thats the same as always. but this branch on repeated occasions had rude staff that doesnt really want to address the customers and they interrupted some customers during the order. I get it, its a tourist spot and they arent that dependent on return customers but still a iffy branch, grab a coffee somewhere else

It’s a small Starbucks so it’s usually crowded. There’s a little bit of sand everywhere when you walk in, but that’s part of having a store basically on the beach. The parking lot is small, and it’s hard on backing out because we have pedestrians and other cars zipping by you. Other than that service is great and the line for ordering goes by super quick.

This Starbucks is in a great location for me, and the folks working there are very friendly and respectful. I enjoy stopping in on my way to the links or to pick up my grandkids.The only drawback is how busy this shop can get. Very popular, so the wait can sometimes be a bit long.

This particular Starbucks seems to run like a well-oiled machine. Staff are very friendly and competent. The lady making our drinks even gave us the extra that didnt fit in the cup in a separate cup so we got our moneys worth of caffeine and nothing went to waste (besides an extra plastic cup). Despite the consistency the Starbucks corporation has attempted to implement across the board, service and quality can be really hit or miss from location to location, depending on staff, store design, inventory, etc. This location is one of the Starbucks that sets the standard for the rest. Kudos!Yes, parking is extremely difficult at this location, as they get very very busy and have limited spots in a shared lot, some of which are 20-minute parking only spaces. However, thats to be expected in this crazy crowded part of Carlsbad.

Standard Starbucks experience in a quaint village setting. Great location for getting a coffee and walking on the beach or downtown. Unfortunately, it does get really crowded when there are events in the village. Also, parking can be limited, which makes this a better location for foot traffic.

I do not come to this specific location quite often, but the last time i did, i was ungraciously faced w a door to the face.the younger gentleman with short brunette hair was taking in the trash one night, and as he made eye contact w me, he opens the door for himself and completely lets the door shut on me behind the garbage can.it was quite rude, and made me think twice abt coming back to this location.

This is the worst starbucks store I have even been too!!! We were just there driving by and stopped by to pick up coffee and a hot drink. I ordered on App ahead of time, and by the time we arrived it was 15 minutes later, the coffee was not done. There was no sugar or half and half, which I placed in order. The other hot drink was just plain milk, and it wasnt even hot! This is a ridiculous place and they should change workers for aire! They were sitting there and doing nothing when we arrived!

The staff is genuinely friendly here. The drinks are reliably consistent. If youre looking to study, however, there are only a few tables inside which are typically occupied. Also, If you cant find parking on the main Street ( 2 hr limit ), the Starbucks lot- if its not full- restricts you to a 20 minute limit.

I love walking by the beach and grab a quick water from this location for that purpose. I do purchase my coffee here too! However I have had repeatedly bad experiences in Marci that works there. There seems to be a chip on her shoulder as there is always a negative vibe and she gets me a medium water when I always ask for a large. Its so unfortunate that people bring their personal problems to work. Jacob usually takes care of me there. Top notch service from him.

Horrible and humiliating experience. Never again. First time here came to visit family that lives locally. Decide to grab some coffee and pastries before they closed and after ordering the barista rudely told my husband he couldnt use the restroom because he was going to close. We still had to wait inside for one of our family members that was in the restroom while he still made us feel so uncomfortable with his rude facial expressions. Couldnt get his name he had no name tag.

Low stars for a couple reasons..parking is one. Its tiny so better for a phone in or stop and go than sit down..two, lots of foot traffic on weekends, grommets on skateboards and summer frenzy. If you like frantic than its ok, but crowded and hyper caffeinated and hormone fueled teens is a bit much for me. The staff is hit or miss, usually ok but sometimes off putting and clean up sometimes suffers due to business.

This is a smaller Starbucks in the village which has a lot of Carlsbad locals for clientele. The tables fill up fast without much turnover. It is right on the PCH and pretty close to the beach so parking fills up fast, watch out.

DONT LEAVE YOUR PERSONAL PROPERTYWe live right down the street; we went in for a drink, not a usual coffee drinker so I don’t visit often. I had left my phone on the counter, got home realized I had left it and went right back not but 10 minutes, hoping someone had turned it in and not taken it. It’s a Note ll, nice phone in a leather case, my bad for leaving it behind of course, but their bad comes to follow. So I go inside and ask if anyone had turned in a phone, the girl asked me when, and I looked at her in the face and said “like only 10 minutes ago. All people behind the counter answered no when they were asked and she looked me in the face and said no, no on turned in a phone. So I went back out to my vehicle and my friend called the phone to see if it was under the seat or whatnot, nope not in the car, so I go back in to see if I can hear it, possibly in the trash or in a bin or something... and I hear my special little ring tone coming from behind the counter and one of the girls handed it to me. I was so relieved to have it back it didn’t dawn on me until a little later that... what the heck! Why would they tell me no phone had been turned in when it was right there! I called the manager and her first reaction was that no one had turned it in; one of the employees had found it, really? I didn’t get my phone returned to me the first time I asked because of semantics? And her second reaction was that they didn’t even know it was a phone. Trust me, it is obviously a phone; they all know what a cell phone looks like I am sure. That was the most unacceptable response to my situation she could have offered me aside from the free cup of coffee next time I visited, really? This was not a product issue! I couldn’t believe that was what she had to say to explain the situation. She finished up with well you have your phone back now and we always do what we can to ensure phones are returned to their owners. I have to say that if I hadn’t gone back in the second time, I would not have my personal property back. It should have been given to me the first time I went in and asked for it, but because it was ringing the second time, they HAD to cough it up.Like I said it’s my fault for leaving it behind, but to have the employees find something that obviously belonged to a customer, regardless of what it is and not give it back to the person who comes back looking for it is wrong. It may have been a bad decision on 1 or 2 employees, but they ruined it for the whole lot, an untrustworthy bunch in my opinion and I will go to higher powers that be to complain as well.

The typical Starbucks experience with friendly baristas and all the normal drink and food selections. The only negative is that this Starbucks is on the small side with not many tables and chairs to choose from and only a couple of tables outside. But it is downtown Carlsbad with the people and cars slowly cruising by to entertain you so if you can snag a place to sit then the inconvienences might be worth it.

Yesterday afternoon, we had a wonderful salted foam, caramel cold brew from a delightful barista. We returned to grab another for our long drive home to encounter a cold barista that took the wonderful out of the treat and the delicious taste of caramel and salted foam was barely there:( I thought the drinks are standard, as well, as expected service.I wish I could remember your name, delightful barista, because you deserve some kudos!
