Starbucks in El Cajon

I walked here with my Mom, sister and her two little kids a couple nights ago. We were taking the kids on a special walk to spend a gift certificate my sister since they had been good. We had no idea it was going to start pouring rain when we were halfway there. It was very heavy for us San Diegans for about ten mins while we ran to the nearest building offering covering to get out of the rain for a minute till it slowed down. The kids still were down to keep walking to Starbucks and we were already soaking wet it couldnt get any wetter, so we kept going. It was a Friday night and there was only one other customer so we were able to order right when we got there. Well my sister pulled her gift card out of her pocket to hand to the cashier to pay and it was soaked... Not only soaked it was made out of paper/cardboard and had totally warped swelled with rain water. There was no way it was gonna be able to be used on the card machine and they dont have a capability to manually enter it and we didnt have the Starbucks app. My nephew was heartbroken tho my mom or I was ready to pay for their drinks, he said oh man we walked all the way and in the rain and now were wet and cant use the gift card he was so sad. The cashier told my sister he would take care of them and still give them their order and suggested that she go on the app when she is ready to use it next time and order there where she can enter the gift card manually. That was so sweet that he still gave them what they intended to order. My nephew got the biggest smile when he realized he was still gonna get his drink.The cashier made our night because of his kindness. The drinks were all very good and we now have a funny memory to share with loved ones about the night we decided to walk to Starbucks and it poured rain on us. The store was very clean and even though we got there about 15 mins before close the employees didnt mind making our orders and having to rewash everything again.I wanted to add the cashiers name to this review but I didnt see a name tag. But he works Friday nights!

I asked for 2 scoops of lavender in my drink but got only one (as indicated on the label which I didn’t see because it was hidden by the insulation sleeve). I was blocks away before I realized the orde was wrong because I couldn’t even taste any lavender.

Nathan who rang me up was very friendly. They were clearly very busy and maybe under staffed but him and Chris handled every thing very well. You are lucky to have them on your team! Very friendly A++ service!

This was listed on here as having dine in available and outside seating available. Neither was accurate -- it is standing only inside and there was no outside seating area. I tried to update their listing but not sure if it worked. They probably took out the seating b/c of too many homeless?

Lots of space and a friendly staff. Good place to knock out some work before heading out to the office. Food has always been good and the service is prompt. Doesn’t get crowded until later in the morning.

Had not been to this location in a bit, almost had a heart attack today walking in to this particular Starbucks, first thing I noticed they took away the chairs and tables, no more chairs and tables no place to sit and enjoy your coffee, no place to charge your phone as there are no outlets on wall and the worst part of this location No more public bathrooms, incredible its like Starbucks is saying give me your money take your coffee and go, bottom line I am very disappointed, definitely will not be coming back here.

I love this Starbucks location. Very friendly and great customer service. I love how they ask for your name so nicely. Downtown El Cajon has the views bro 👌

Could someone tell me where’s the London fog tea latte in this? Where’s the milk ? Where’s the sugar? I literally had to tell her my order 3 to 4 times. I would like my money back.

Took my daughter here to get a mocha. She is disabled and the staff were very kind and accommodating. Prompt service and great staff. I highly recommend this location!

I’m a frequent at Starbucks. Had to come to this one due to the appointment that I had but when I walked in no was being helped yet there was a line of people. The employees weren’t really doing anything. I put in a mobile order for a chocolate brownie (my usual) and a venti hot mocha. I grab my drink and pastry and head home. I get all the way home and realize they gave me what I think is a chocolate croissant that wasn’t even warmed up. My mocha also tastes like warm milk. I guess from now on I will stick to my usual Starbucks by my house.
