I’ve always enjoyed a white chocolate mocha from Starbucks. Being that I can make my own coffee at home that is just as good, I try to save money by doing so. Recently, I have been going more due to convenience and being busy.Today I stopped by the drive-through off of Mission Avenue in Escondido. I handed over my $6 for the grande coffee and immediately knew they shorted me. I didn’t say anything, I just figured I would deal with it. But the cup was only 3/4 full. And that was with the whip cream on top top, which I usually deny because I don’t want it in my drink. I wasn’t even asked😒 Also, please stop putting the green stopper as I don’t need it and it is just more plastic waste this planet doesn’t need. When I go to Starbucks, I expect to pay a lot, but I also expect to get what I pay for. I normally leave reviews when I’m very pleased or the opposite. This morning’s Starbucks trip was a disappointment.

Great location with friendly staff. The only downside (hence the reason for 4 stars) is that they only have a drive through, no walk up window or lobby. I had a mobile order that I was going to pick up in a lunch break, but couldnt get it in time due to a long line. Luckily when I called they said they would remake it when I came back later, but the way the location is set up is extremely inconvent. Honestly I dont think mobile orders should be available for this location since you still have to wait in line, regardless of how long it is.

This place is permanently drive thru only. If you try to mobile order to beat the insane line and poor parking lot design you will be stuck in a long line. Staff is good. Area is infested with lets call them undesirable individuals.

If you do mobile order, be prepared to wait in line in your car. Unfortunately, it is drive thru only. I wish they could bring out your order at the door so you dont have to wait but thats not the case. This needs to be changed and have a better pick up method for those that do mobile order. Or place a message in the starbucks app of this situation so people have a heads up and order somewhere else. I really hope they take this into consideration.

Like someone else here we were getting our car worked on so we walked to this Starbucks. Got there, it was drive thru only. Looked inside saw someone working and went to stand in line with the cars. The worker comes out and says “for your safety I can’t have you stay in line, it’s drive through only.” And then as an after thought added that we could order through our phone and she would bring out the order. We just left, didn’t want to bother.

It is a bit of a bummer that they are drive thru only. But I do get why they do it. The environment around there isnt very conducive to a business thats open to the public to walk in.Also, as a personal plea to the owner, please make the drive thru window taller. Insane experience. Trapped between cars in the drive through spilling out into the street blocking traffic for over 40 minutes. This should be illegal. Either figure it out close up shop because you cant detain customers. One day someone will have a medical emergency and ambulance wont be able to get to them. Filing a police report next time.

Even though this location is currently in Drive-Thru Only operational mode (no inside dining at all), my drive-thru experience here is usually pretty good. It is an extreme rarity that they get my order wrong. In my experience, the line is never really that long, and moves quickly.

Staff need to be trained equally at all Starbucks. It’s MORE than unfair when an employee blames a customer for their mistake. When you order a “nonfat” beverage at any other location the whip cream is omitted or staff questions if it should be omitted indicating they’re aware of the fat content in whip cream. This morning ordered 3 coffees. Included was a non fat frappe and was handed one with whip cream. I simply asked if the whip cream could be scraped off (trying to be accommodating and not wasteful). The employee snapped at me stating I was wrong for not orderingWithout whip cream. I reminded her I did order non fat and asked if the whip cream was non fat. She repliedNo it’s not non fat but all Starbucks make all items on their menu the same. She’s wrong and I tried explaining and she shut the window in the middle on my conversation. Extremely rude disrespectful and poor customer service. This location is convenient but I will travel out of my way to visit a more accommodating customer friendly location. I hope for this employee sake she doesn’t visit someplace that will put her health at risk as she did mine then get blamed for Someone else’s incompetence and failure to own up to a mistake. Lesson learned for myself is when visiting a new Starbucks location ask if they understand the true meaning of “Non fat” and or sugar free and verify their definition. Or simply make it myself to avoid error.Thank you Starbucks on sycamore and Melrose for ALWAYS getting right.

I was getting some work done on my car and thought I would walk over and get a coffee at this Starbucks. There was something written on the entrance door stating drive thru only. I tried to knock but was ignored. I walked up to the drive thru and waited my turn between cars. I tried to order but before I spoke the speaker says drive thru only, sorry. I was disappointed and felt like I was being treated as less then bc my car was being worked on a block away? It was awful and unfair. I will never go to any Starbucks again.

My boyfriend and I live nearby and we frequent this Starbucks about 1-3 times a week - it’s our favorite Starbucks in the area!! The drinks are made great, the staff are always kind and friendly, and best of all, even when the line is long, they go so fast compared to other Starbucks I’ve been too! Love it!!

The only issue was the mixed message. On their website they implied you could order inside. But when I arrived the front door was locked and there was no message on the door explaining why the door was locked. So you could only order through the drive through but I couldnt see anywhere to sit outside if you wanted to sit outside after getting your coffee at the drive through. I was meeting someone there and it was nothing like the experience I expected. It was my first time there and their web description should have mentioned both -- locked door and no outdoor seating.

The wait was long but the staff is better than most at this location. Ive noticed that there are no lights in the parking lot at night. Hard to tell if its open or not since inside is dark too since no one can go inside currently. This is not the only location that doesnt have lights with a tight drive thru. Parking lot lights are important not only to know your open but to be able to see the turn or even opening for that matter.

I go in the morning, the busiest time Id say. There isnt a lot of space to park or not big enough to accommodate so many cars. However service is quick, especially if you order on the mobile app. Id say if you dont mind waiting this this is a good starbucks!

Can do better at customer service!!!!I always come to this spot because I love their customer service, but todaythe barista who took my order was awful. I have been working with customer service for more than 9 years, and trust me I can tell when I am receiving terrible one. She took my order like if she was barely able to talk.Than when i got to the window, same attitude like if it was so frustrated for her to help me out. But the funny thing when she charged me, while she was waiting for my drinks, she was fooling around with her coworkers, and there is nothing wrong with that, but I wish she had the same attitude with her customers. I know us as customers we are not always right, and Starbucks wont go broke because of a bad review. But not even saying a good bye, have a good day, and ignoring me, that is wrong. Maybe I will have a better experience next time.

I gave this place so many chances because its the closest Starbucks to me so I usually pick something up omw to class. But my god, they get my order wrong every single time. I always ask for a tea & they are either missing the lemonade, or didn’t put the amount of syrup I requested. One time, they gave me a “tea” that was just water, lemonade, & peppermint syrup. NO TEA BAG. Lol its kind of funny but come on? I was sipping on lemon water & peppermint. It never got better after that. Worst Starbucks i’ve ever been too. Would NOT recommend. Go to another nearby one.Update: I folded and came back to this place. Different staff. They are so much better!

Always poorly staffed, orders are frequently wrong, was given someone elses drink, and noticed a female employee cutting off the drive-in line 10 minutes before the store closed, which could have taken 3 more drivers before the closing hour. Employees have been holding long conversations with drivers and holding up the line too.Please re-evaluate your operations.

Before I only thought of Starbucks as a place to get drinks, coffee, smoothies, teas, refreshing drinks. There is so much more to this awesome place. First, the Batistas are the real reason I come back to this location. They are knowledgeable, polite, friendly, extremely helpful. If you want service with a smile, this the place. The food is very good and there is a nice variety.

As a regular Starbucks user this location gets the coffee right and thats about it. Its always super slow. Not reasonably slow... all the way slow. I hate using terms like everybody because Im sure theres good employees there but tons have a bad attitude at this location some dont even say anything to you when they hand you your coffee. There must be a management/training problem at this location.

Small, but the service was awesome. There were a few customers that had issues with their order. All of the employees looked like they were interested in resolving the problem which deflated, what look like could be, an irate customer. I always like to see good examples of customer service. Removing one star for the size; its rather small.Additionally, if youre from out of town or traveling at night, this area is a bit shady and filled with a number of vagrants. Be sure to take care.

The radio is way too loud when I go in there! And THERE IS NO TRASH CAN OUTSIDE!!! Thats makes it very difficult for me because Im in a wheelchair and I find it very hard to open the doors to get in just to throw my trash 🗑 away. I always wait for someone to open the door for me. The atmosphere is great and the coffee was good despite them getting my order wrong causing my lactose intolerance to act up majorly. There are no outlets on the inside and one of the speakers makes a constant humming noise so its not a good place to stay at for too long even for studying.

This is one of our most visited Starbucks. They are well staffed and are about as quick as you can expect at a Starbucks.We generally order the Carmel Macchiato with Light Ice and Extra Carmel Drizzle.This Starbucks does get quite busy at Happy Hour and its location causes a fair amount of congestion.

This is the worst SB I have visited here in Escondido. The store was messy. The floors where dirty...napkins, crumbs on the floor. Tables not cleaned..wiped down. The worst part. No soap to wash hands..the dispenserWas empty. The bath room was dirty...behind the toilet was a bunch of wet seat protectors. The bathroom had a foul odor...stink.I love SB but this store was a big disapointment..I will not be back.

This is a really good Starbucks location.My friend and I stopped by during the day for a catch up before I left town.The staff were all very friendly and even went out of their way to take loads of photos for us upon request.The drinks were on point and the place was fully staffed, enough to charge through any lines of people or cars.There was a good selection of both food items and travel mugs for purchase.The toilet is for customers only with a code entry system.Parking lot can get a bit tricky due to the drive thru, but just wait it out.Would recommend this location!

There is this curve at the drive thru where cars get stuck all the time and nothing is done to prevent that,,, once they had like a yellow pole so drivers could see the curve but it didnt work but thats about it,,, anyways the place got remodeled completely except for that curve and the problem is still happening, Im surprised people dont complain about it!

The cops love it, this location is closest to the new Escondido police station, and there always busy, the coffee crew here gets a solid 10. Across the board the smaller corner location continuously has high traffic, and always has clean stocked restrooms each day, and smiles,. Great moral amongst crew, thank you

Store opens at 5am but today according to the staff they had an emergency. 15 minutes later still closed. Couldnt wait any longer and left very disappointed at 5:25 am. If you cant open at 5am change your opening schedule to 6 am. But dont have a line of cars waiting there until youre ready. People have to be at work on time.

Long lines, limited staff. I left my wife in the drive through 5 cars back and I went inside and ordered my drink just to see whos came out faster. Mine did and then I walked outside and walk through the drive-thru line to go back into my car and they yelled at me. Then when we finally got to the drive-thru window for her drink they gave it to her for free. You may think this was an isolated incident but its like this every day. Sometimes I drive all the way to San Marcos for a faster service and to be treated with a little more respect. Be careful going here. It all depends on whos working. Literally the worst Starbucks around. Just today I was in the drive thru line for 20 minutes and they did not even offer the drink up for free. Also asked for a tiny splash of cream in my iced coffee and basically got a milkshake. I keep trying to come to this location because of its convenience but every time is just an even worse experience then the last. As a gold card holder I say to stay away from this location unless you like very tight packed crowded areas, unpleasant customer service, and a wait. Especially if you are trying to use the drive thru.

I’d like to give zero stars to the location though.If you are trying to find this place a great landmark are homeless people standing at the corner. This seems to be a magnet for down and out people.A one star for having no outlets available for costumers to use. My phone is at 11%. I thought instead of using my car’s juice I’d use Starbucks for study before I head to class. This starbucks is a very busy place! We were there today! Its right off the freeway and the drive thru is usually busy, but for faster service I always go inside! Expect delays because of location and the parking lot is a little tricky at times but Ive never had a bad drink or bad service! There is another store by the theater a few blocks away that has ample parking but no drive thru!

Almost every time I visit this location, I encounter an issue. From being overcharged to burnt breakfast sandwich, to snobbily adding enough cream to my coffee to turn it almost white when I asked for a tad bit more. Any time Ive tried to get ahold of a manager, theyre not available when I call.This business, in my opinion, is a prime example of getting undeserving business due to its location rather than the quality of product or customer service. They know this, so they are able to do a half-assed job and still flourish. Two star rating rather than one is simply because not every employee there is terrible, and the interior is usually clean and inviting.

Very busy and not very friendly service. The employee wasnt allowing me to get my refill. I also have a complaint to the company in general. On the Starbucks app it says: Free same-day in store refills on brewed coffee and tea (Starbucks app). When I left Starbucks for an hour and come back the employee says that in store refills infers that you have to stay in the store. I am requesting a change on the app and a refund because I was under the influence that you can leave and come back as long as it is on the same day. The app doesnt make it clear to the average person that you cant leave and come back and get a refill.

Sorry, I love Starbucks and frequent many locations throughout San Diego County.Ive tried giving this location a chance over and over again but somehow nothing ever changes.I mostly order coffee Frappuccinos and I am not sure if its just because its a drive through and they figure well not turn around and come back if there is a problem. Not sure if they have issues there, but whatever the issue, the Frappuccinos here at this location always taste weird....sometimes it tastes more like a caramel Frappuccino or that it has vanilla added. Ive called, spoken with the Manager who seemed nice, told us the next one is on them, but Id rather have a good Frappuccino rather than complain, or turn my car around to get back in line!The folks seem nice enough there, but something is completely wrong!I drink Frappuccinos every day but this is the very LAST TIME I COME TO THIS LOCATION!TODAY it was as icy and bland as ever and $4.45 is much too money for ice!

I went in at 8pm on friday September 14th 2018 to have a nice hot chocolate and coffee with my baby and fiance we wanted to sit and relax after a long walk we had ...any way my fiance had to go restroom as soon as we went into the store ... the Girls there did not allow him to go at all because im guessing the shift supervisor was the one cleaning the restrooms ..she said he was not allowed to go in at all because she was going to scrub the floor and it was Supposably wet yet the doors were open and I could Clearly see the floors were not yet..I felt very wierd about there behavior and eagerness to clean ahead so they can leave early from thier shift which I get because I worked for starbucks for over 8 yrs and I never once denied a restroom to any customer and I would not wash the restroom until 15 mins before we closed the doors.. I dont think we will return for a long time ...I didnt even stay to enjoy my order because of the way they acted toward us like pretty much saying how Dare We ask For A restroom....

This starbucks has SOOOOOOOOOOOOO MANY little biting bugs that I had to cut my stay short! Plus, there are A LOT of SKANKY people hanging around...1 guy kept walking back & forth by my table looking at my laptop...not to mention that I had to ask 2 people to stop leaning on my vehicle. I ordered a smores frapp, i thought the color of the smores was a bit on the brown side. Anyways mine was white. It was unsweet and when i told the barista and cashier (both males age probably early 20s) one of them just said oooooh and that was it. I asked for a refill of something else but was told that there are no refills on frappuccinos. And that was it.
