So first, allow me to say that I dont drink the foo foo concoctions, just coffee, latte, or a flat white, so Im not reviewing them. The coffee at all Starbucks locations is consistently mediocre; not great, not awful. The latte is good, the flat white, my favorite, is terrific, and the customer service is consistently excellent. The train station is right across the street, so its super convenient when Im on the go. Not much in the way of ambiance; theyve removed all of the seating so its just grab and go. Starbucks is where I go for a caffeine fix, but if I have time, there are a few other options a bit further away that I prefer, where I can sit and relax with a really good cup of joe, latte, or for an extra special treat, the flat white.

A newly refurbished Starbucks, now with less seating but the layout is spacious. Good for a short stopover, stools available with a street view for some interesting people watching. Sit back and enjoy the samba music. Bonus: the famous Sprinkles cupcakes is just downstairs, pairs well with Starbucks...check their Instagram page before ordering for FREE cupcakes or Promos. No restrooms here, a lot of people come in asking.

Overall: 4.6/5I came back recently to redeem my birthday drink and received the same amazing service. I really dont know why this location has such bad Yelp reviews. It was a busy morning with a bunch of people inside but the line moved fast and the drink came out in a quick manner as well. Lupe was the cashier who took my order. I made a custom order of a secret menu recipe I found and she was patient as I went through the list. After I ordered, she wished me a happy birthday :)Junior Mints Cold Brew ($8.50): This is a venti cold Brew with 2 pumps of white mocha, 2 pumps of regular mocha, vanilla sweet cream cold foam with a scoop of matcha powder & 2 pumps of peppermint, topped with mocha cookie crumble. This wasnt as sweet as I thought it would be but it was stronger than expected so I could only drink about 1/3 of it. The mocha was concentrated at the bottom so I should have mixed it up more with the foam. Regardless, it was pretty good. If I were to order it again, I would probably cut back on the mocha and replace it with peppermint instead - just a personal preference.Came back another time on a Sunday morning. We had an issue applying our discount on the app so they were nice enough to do it in store for us. They also accidentally made a hot latte instead of iced so they fixed our order & gave us the hot drink for free too. The customer service here is top notch and consistent so this is my go-to location.Custom Iced & Hot Matcha Latte ($6.55): We got a venti matcha latte with 1 pump toffee nut syrup, 2 pumps peppermint syrup, coconut milk, light whip cream, & chestnut praline topping. The iced version is better but both surprisingly had a light peppermint taste. I think the coconut milk flavor was overpowering the 2 syrups so if we went with regular milk or oat milk, the syrup flavors might have come out more.Iced Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato ($6.25): I got a standard venti with light ice and it was much better than expected. It literally tasted like fall encapsulated in this drink. I read some reviews where people say the apple was like a sour apple but I didnt think so and the flavor was subtle. The coffee is concentrated on top so you have to mix the drink for it to taste really good.Chocolate Pistachio Swirl: I dont think I tried Starbucks bakery items before so I was pretty excited to try this item. However, the swirl was just okay. The texture was interesting - soft but also a bit powdery (probably not the best way to describe it)? It wasnt sweet from the chocolate and the pistachio didnt really add much either.Pistachio Cream Cold Brew: I reduced the vanilla syrup amount by one pump thinking the pistachio cream cold foam would provide enough sweetness, but it did not. The coffee was strong and lets be honest, Starbucks coffee beans arent the best tasting. The pistachio cream had a faint pistachio taste compared to other flavored cream cold brews I had.Venti Non-Fat Milk Vanilla Bean Frappe With 3 Pumps Peppermint Syrup, 3 scoops of Matcha Powder, Line Cup With Mocha Drizzle, & Light Whip ($7.85): This was okay the first day but better the second day after the ice melted. The matcha taste became more noticable on the second day. It wasnt very sweet either.Venti Non-Fat Milk Caramel Frappe With 3 Pumps of Mocha Syrup, 2 Pumps Hazelnut Syrup, Line Cup With Caramel Drizzle, and Top off With Mocha Drizzle on Light Whip Cream: This was better than expected but it is sweet, especially after the ice melted. Literally diabetes in a cup so share it and/or split it over a few meals/days!Frozen Mango Dragonfruit Lemonade Refresher ($6.25 venti): I rarely get a refresher at Starbucks so I was excited to try this new drink but it was really disappointing. It barely had any flavor and was mostly ice that I tasted. Surprised that the mango didnt make it sweet or the lemonade.

I went in things were fairly clean but the tables need to be washed more frequently especially since they only had one other customer and three people behind the counter. The cashier took my order very quickly and the barista delivered the order very quickly as well. No mistakes at all which was fantastic.

I stopped in there to buy a Lg cup of ice water for my thermos that day because it was in the triple digits in downtown LA. The cashier was great, really nice and polite. The manager, on the other hand, was totally disrespectful towards her yelling at her in front of me and the entire store because she stepped 3 ft away from her register to wait on me. I thanked her as well as apologized to her for getting her into trouble. I wasnt very professional of the manager to correct and yell at the cashier in front of the whole store. Soo not cool..

Had a weird experience and feel like the super positive and extremely thorough recent review is from a paid influencer or something. Who orders that many specialty “secret menu” drinks and reviews them all at once—and had an amazing customer service experience, too? That’s very suspicious.When I went there, there was no wait so I had time to ask some questions about new items on the menu, and the cashier was really nice and answered my questions thoroughly. So that part went smoothly and quickly.I was feeling like getting something simple, though, so I ordered a caffe vanilla frappuccino. When my order was ready, they had made me a vanilla creme frappuccino (i.e. with no coffee). So when I saw it, I mentioned that I had ordered a caffe vanilla frappuccino—and they replied that they don’t make that there (…seriously?! But a ‘junior mint’ frappuccino is “coming right up”??). That was strange enough since the Starbucks app clearly has that on its normal menu and it’s possible to order that and pick up from their location. Not wanting to make things complicated, I asked if they could just add a shot of espresso to the order they gave me (thinking it would save them the time, work and ingredients and I could just go on my way) and they said they’d have to charge me extra for that(!). Since I didn’t want to pay extra to get a drink from their normal menu and none of that interaction made sense to me, I ended up asking them to just make a mocha frappuccino instead because they said that was actually on their menu. I got that and of course ended up being the one to apologize to them when I picked it up.So at the end of it all I did walk away with *a frappuccino of some sort* in my hand, but the experience overall was weird, awkward, and disappointing.

The best staff!!! They are super friendly, helpful and radiate with kindness. This was my first time to this one and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! They didn’t rush us, didn’t look annoyed when we had special requests and even offered information for us outside of their store (especially places that were kid friendly). Great group of people. Want to make a trip back in the store, just to have that experience (and I don’t live anywhere near it)!

Today I visited this starbuck that is in target and a cashier was rude to me. I wanted to exchange my stars and the girl didnt let me exchange them for a glass, she said that in the starbucks inside target you couldnt; I have many glasses and I bought them all at target💩

Upon entering this location to pick up a mobile order I was greeted by Ricky, who was very nice and welcoming. Surprisingly, this location was not packed, it was clean, and my food was ready earlier than the specified time! I didn’t get a chance to eat my sandwich until an hour later. Nevertheless, my sandwich still tasted fresh!

Very kind, polite folks at this high volume (at least in the morning) Starbucks. Im attending a conference and have been 4 days in a row with good, prompt service each time. Today I wanted to call out Juan specifically for being very kind and attentive not only to his customers but to his Co workers as well. He seemed like the calm within the storm. Worst Starbucks in DTLA, period!!! They are downright Unfriendly. No Christmas spirit or cheer. Everyday is as if the workers here have been forced to come to work. You will think this is how every other Starbucks worker feels around here until you walk to the other Starbucks at The Bloc (inside Macys) and find the exact opposite with lovely friendly people serving you. If you can, try and avoid the Negative vibe of this particular Starbucks and go to the other one where you can truly get served cheerfully. We all need our coffee with positivity to have a great day!

They says that the first impressions always count right? Well let me tell you this. As a current working barista myself wasnt impressed with the service I was given in this particular place. The employees lacked in costumer service knowledge and are quite rude. Tell me why the moment I enter the environment felt dirty and really negative everyone looked as though they didnt want to work there, the person in the register rushed a previous guest because she couldnt decide what she want. I went next in line got my drink everything was good until the moment I went back and said I wanted light ice, he rolled his eyes at me even though I apologized for not stating it before. Anyways not only that I tried charging my phone I find that all their outlets and charging stations are either blocked or disconnected, I get back up from checking and look around the same guy at the register lets me know that they have no charging stations and then laughs, after he laughs all his other co workers start laughing along... pretty rude if you tell me. Let this be the first and last time I come here, if you want better service I advise you to go to the Starbucks at the bloc by Macys if not the one inside target because even they can provide better service and theyre a licensed store...

So, I actually had to downgrade my review from 5 to 4 stars. A couple of months ago, this Starbucks, like many others, was remodeled. Prior to the remodel, mobile ordering was really quick. However, since the remodel, it has become really slow. I take the train. I used to order when I arrived at my stop and my drink was ready when I arrived. Now I order three stops away and sometimes, it still isnt ready. Makes me sad. That said, even after the remodel, my description below is still amazingly accurate!Cant remember which Starbucks this was. It had a green awning outside and a rustic feel inside. An adequate selection of cold sandwiches and juice coupled with a wide variety of knick knacks for sale and high end coffee makers make for a one of a kind waiting-in-line experience! The hot beverage menu has about as many choices as a Cheesecake Factory without the colorful brochure like menu. If this is all overwhelming to you, try ordering by mobile. You miss the excitement of resisting impulse buys but youre in and out quick!

It usually is crowded and there are only few outlets to plug in phones or laptops. Its loud as is typical. Its small and cramped. I only go to this location in extreme circumstances. There are others with better seating. Im addition the usage of space is poor. They dont want you staying. There are lots of homeless that try getting free refills and such with old cups. Makes sense they cannot do it. They would lose to much money.Update: covered with white boards and permanently closed

I wanted to purchase one of the reusable white Starbucks cups for $2 & fill with water for my tea.I was then promptly corrected that the price of this particular cup was 2.19 and then told putting water in the cup was against their policy. I wish I could put their attitude into words. They were very rude with me. I then went to the Starbucks downstairs and completed my purchase.

I have been a long term customer at this store. I buy at least one coffee when I come to work onsite 2 days a week near this store. They are quick and the coffee are always hot and fresh.I have been able to refill my coffee with 50 cents deal on the same day when I bring the empty cup the second time on the same day. However, all the sudden they dont allow this deal anymore. According to the temp worker, they only allow refill at the store only (I have to drink the coffee at the store to be able to refill). The worker told me that they were told to start enforcing this policy. This to me is just a BS, as I still see people take empty cup to refill the coffee, and still get the 50 cents deal.She brought the store manager to talk to me to state the same story. I told the manager that I work near by and I have been able to refill the coffee for quite a long time. The manager doesnt seem to believe what I said and asked me where I worked. The temp worker then refilled the coffee on my old cup, but still charged me $2.25!!! I told her to give me a new cup, and she asked the manager to give me a new coffee.When the manager passed the coffee to me, he stared at me with a very unfriendly face expression. I will never go back to the store. They might have saved $1.75 from me, but they have just lost a long term customer.

Even in one of the busiest Starbucks stores in the state, the staff there get to know their regulars. The line can get long but they always move fast, and they are accurate - in over five years of visiting 1-3 times per week I think my drink might have been made wrong twice, and they made it right as they promise.

Everytime I come here, the way barrista thanks me is always an anouncement that I should not linger in the area. And of course I tested this many times It really was just aimed at me. Phrase one, I just wanted to let you know you must stand in a circle while you wait for your drink. Yet doesnt tell anybody the same thing to the people in front of me who had ordered and the people behind that had ordered. This Starbucks takes a million years to take your order and if you are luckythey tell you your order is at the counter amongst the sea of people around and yet the person that let me know I must stand on the circle is still checking to see if I had stepped out of the circle. Phrase Two. I just want to let you know once you get your order you cant be drinking your Starbucks inside Target. As I was getting napkins because they give you the cup like a mess, and if you ask for extra caramel, its sarcastic where it look and taste like it literally just caramel in there. So Phrase Three, You cant be standing here, once you get you your drink (demonstrates a quick grab hand gesture) you leave. Of course while this was happening the 6 feet distance was non existent because he had to wipe something, i dont eventhink we were 3 feet apart. (He should have said, sir is there anything else I could help you with?...could I approach this area to wipe the table here?...and also if i could just have you move into the other side so the other customers would be able to wait here thank you...) My gosh...and some of the barristas roll their eyes so much here it looks like an episode from the movie the Exorcist.

Bought a caramel macchiato and when I got back to the office, it tasted like chocolate milk!! I knew it looked wrong from the beginning. The barista almost filled the cup with milk.... Aside from the fact that my co worker and I ordered at the same time, I got mine 10 minutes after her and it was still made wrong!

This has to be the WORST Starbucks I’ve never been to.. I went yesterday & it wasn’t clean at all, chairs where EVERYWHERE. A homeless person came in and stole two bags of coffee a lady tried to stop him ! The workers didn’t care they were laughing and didn’t even call 911. The lady was the only one that cared about the situation . Horrible location.
