This place, I hear, used to be called bearbucks because all the gay bears would come and hang out, get coffee and chill. Now, theres an abundance of homeless in and out and the place is DIRTY. Im uploading pictures. Milk was just hanging out on the bar, trash everywhere and when I came back 2 hours later nobody had swept. The cup holder under my chair was still there when I returned. The bathroom was just as dirty the first time i used it and went wothout attendance. Employees louder than the patrons. Sad to see this place so poorly managed.

♥️Love the employees♥️, I recommend pre-ordering in advance, it can get pretty busy especially when the Karen’s start to roll in during the commuter rush in the morning. 📅👩‍💼📍Sometimes they open at 6am, sometimes 6:30am. I’d recommend calling just to be sure. Also, tip your local baristas. 💰💶They work hard and have to put up with angry people who argue with them over the color of their beverage🙄 or entitled Karens looking to get a freebie. I would know.😢No tables or chairs here, which I like, cuz before Covid, it was nothing but just lobby squatters who worked on their laptops every day and ordered a pikes place coffee. 👨‍💻🎒☕️I could keep going. But I think you get the point 😂😂☕️🧋☕️🍵🧉Unpopular opinion: Cake pops are gross. Unless you have a pallet of a 4 year old, then it’s perfect for you. 🎂🍰🐓🍭😏

Now the only Starbucks in the Castro. This Starbucks is very pro LGBT friendly. It’s a smaller location with minimal seating. Service is friendly and they are quick. Homeless and cleanliness seem to be a continual issue.Parking is easy on the street early in the morning, but the neighborhood gets busy most afternoons and evenings.

I have been to this Starbucks twice and both times the barista has treated me like I don’t deserve to be there. I just want my coffee and one time he over charged me twice for the cup I bought when I specifically told him to charge it to my stars, we didn’t want to put attention of what I was saying. I don’t think this is the type of treatment no one deserves!

Always prompt greetings & service even during the rush hours. Friendly staff smiles will greet you, and you always leave better than when you came... Favorite thing about this one: the restroom is usually clean. The staff are also friendly. I couldnt find outlets to plug a device though, although they have those wireless pads for phones. Its good when youre desperate for a quick charge but outlets are mich faster.

I kindly ask that this person has been changed the job and that is why put a reluctant person at the checkout when there are so many other polite and available .... If youre desperate for a Starbucks, and youre near here, its about the only choice you have. But its among my least favorite Starbucks in the entire country, perhaps the entire world. The staff is always courteous and quick when preparing the orders. This location is always packed and finding seating can be very difficult. Luckily there are at least 10 other coffee places within two blocks with plenty of seating and similar wifi accessibility

This Castro Starbucks location is also called Bearbucks by some of its customers and fans, as many bears frequent this heart of the Castro location. The staff is almost always friendly, welcoming and fun here. I wish they could have more space for sitting and chilling out, but thats not the fault of the manager/owner, as this is one of the tiniest Starbucks locations out there, due to the building size restrictions. My rating is 4.5 stars, due to the lack of space. All other aspects merit a 5 star rating. Come visit, this location also serves the LGBTQI Community and Allies late, until 10 P.M. most evenings.

I don’t normally drink Starbucks anymore because I just prefer to brew my own coffee now. A very sick child and a early morning pharmacy run had me here to inject the energy. This place was busy and they “made me wait” a whole minute to place my order. The gentleman gave me a free upgrade to large which I didn’t even know I needed (I must look tired, yay for rookie parents). Thank you Starbucks for being quick, friendly and generous.

During the Pride Weekend, the staff at this location removed all the chairs and tables. I have been a customer there six days a week for the past five years. I am a Gold Card Member. As a senior with a disability, I was made to feel unwelcome and unwanted. What they did is a clear violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Much like the Catholic Church, it seems at least acceptable, if not encouraged, to put it down and find nothing good about it. However Starbucks is probably here to stay and I for one am rather glad that they are so common. Typical drinks and food as any other Starbucks. But way too noisy. Since this place was renovated, it is horribly unbearable to spend any amount of time. Too many hard surfaces so the blenders and the baristas screaming out orders bounce off every wall and make it a deafening noise.

Clean, fast, courteous, aslways greeted with a smile. Service is great Foid and beverages always spot on. It is in the Concord Park & Shop on Willow Pass . Frys Electronics is in the building behind. Lots of parking and I usually can find a seat around even when busy. Point of Reference: Pet Smart is directly across Willow Pass from this Starbucks.

This is one my favorite Starbucks place at SF. Its tiny and cute, friendly (not just gay-friendly) at the heart of Castro. Baristas are super nice and they make your day happier. Although its small, but there is restroom inside.My rate is not for coffee, but just the place and baristas. The coffee is pretty much the same thing (rate of coffee for just Starbucks coffe is around 3 / 5)

This is my neighborhood Starbucks and therefore the most convenient. I would also say its the friendliest one in the city. Yes, the lines can get long, and you may occasionally get some sass from a barista when ordering. But thats all part of the fun! Its a communal feeling, very neighborhoody, and really just a great vibe if you dont mind being shoulder-to-shoulder with other customers. Plus, like all Bay Area Starbucks, they have La Boulange pastries now, which means you will never want to buy food at Starbucks outside of the Bay Area again.
